AN: Hello, Merry Christmas, or whatever you may, or may not celebrate, including potentially a new chapter to read! I have put up a poll in my author page for this story for readers to vote. The vote is for a partner pairing for Louise, either romantic or platonic and I'd love to get your feedback, it will remain open until such time I feel I have enough data or I have moved past a critical point in my story where I have to decide, thanks and enjoy the chapter.
Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers
It took a moment for Louise to process what the healer had said.
"She's not here?" She thought.
"What do you mean she's not here?" Louise asked.
"Well.." The nurse began as the door to the schools infirmary slammed open.
"So you are okay Louise! I was worried!" Kirche went and hugged the small pink haired girl.
"Get your hand off me Zerbst!" Louise shouted as she was smothered by the Redhead.
Kirche broke off the hug. "Tabitha was worried too."
"A little." Said the small blue haired girl looking up from her book.
"See!" Kirche pointed. "Tabitha stopped reading her book, she was super worried about you! She even healed you when we first brought you here."
Tabitha blushed slightly at her friends statement before hiding her face behind her book.
This scene was a bit much for Louise to take in, and she wasn't sure what game Kirche was playing at. "Wait." She thought. "Is that a heart shaped tail sticking out of Kirche's butt! I need to know!"
"Zerbst since when did you have a tail?" Louise asked.
"What are you talking about Louise, I don't have a tail, did willpower exhaustion make you see things?" Kirche asked worriedly.
"No tail." Tabitha added.
"I'm not a crazy or a liar! It's right here!" Louise grabbed at the tail.
No sooner did Louise grab onto the tail, did Kirche go weak in the knees falling to the ground.. Moaning..
Louise almost as quickly as Kirche fell released her grip on the tail as it phased through the floor.
"What?" Louise internally thought.
Tabitha wasn't sure what had happened but her best friend was on the ground moaning.
"What did you do!?" Tabitha demanded as she held out her staff, her book already put away.
"It's okay Tabitha." Kirche said as she got back up holding herself partially up with Tabitha's help.
"All I did was grab her tail." Louise mumbled aloud.
With a red flushed face Kirche grabbed Louise's arm. "Can you please do it again?"
"Zerbst you pervert!" Louise shouted.
"Was worth a try, I never knew you could do such a thing Louise, if I had know I wouldn't have bothered with any of the boys."
Louise did not want to even think about what Kirche was implying, she was a Zerbst her family's enemy! How could she request a indecent un-healthy relationship like that! Damn Germanian's!
The healer had patiently waited for the students of the academy to settle down, watching a girl practically orgasm was a last straw. She had been interrupted and her existence forgotten.
"Miss Valliere, to answer your question. Siesta was taken away by one Lord Count Mont while she was asleep in the medical wing. I do believe the Count procured her contract from Osmond when he left with her back to his mansion."
"Oh thank you for answering my question, I nearly forgot I asked you." Louise stated infuriating the nurse of the academy.
"Since when do you care about girls Louise? Do you have a thing for your own gender now?" Kirche teased while thinking back to a moment earlier.
"Zerbst I am not a pervert like you, besides I already have a Fiance." Louise countered.
"That's not a a denial Louise, you redirected." Kirche grinned making Louise blush.
"Shut up!" Louise huffed as she glared into her rivals eyes.
"Maid in trouble." Tabitha stated. "Count Mont. Dangerous."
Kirche sighed, leave it to Tabitha to break up her moment with Louise, her eyes were lovely. "Tabitha is right, I've heard bad rumors about how Count Mont treats his maids."
Louise tried to get out of bed so she could go undue this injustice, a commoner wasn't even given a choice of employer, and to end up in a bad service without a say wasn't fair. Of course it was expected to happen, but this commoner had saved her life, she would have to act.
"Help me. I can't stand on my own." Louise pleaded helplessly.
Kirche helped Louise up. "Don't worry Louise Tabitha and I will help you save your mistress, It will be a lot easier with a dragon flying us there. Right Tabitha."
The girl nodded.
"Wait, she's not my mistress you perverted Zerbst!" Louise shout muffled as she was pressed into Kirche's bust.
"That's much better." Kirche giggled as she further teased the small pink haired girl by pressing her into her chest.
*Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers*
Siesta awoke. She was laying on a very luxurious bed. She could not remember how she had go there, but she felt very nervous as she was not exactly well dressed. To be more precise she was hardly dressed at all, where had most of her clothes gone?
Still she was a Tarbles girl, one among many brothers and sisters. It wasn't as if she didn't recognize her situation. She just wasn't sure how she had ended up in it. The last thing she had remembered doing was saving Miss Valerie's life. Was this perhaps miss Valerie's room she had first thought, but no, this room was a guest room. Not a young maidens room, more like the room of a mistress or concubine of a privileged noble, and that worried her.
Being pragmatic was still a very important survival skill as a commoner. She would look around the room and find anything to wear. It was not unexpected when she found the door locked, nor did it shock her when she found all the drawers empty. This room was very barren, a bed with a single pure white linen sheet, empty drawers, virtually no furniture, and a glass window.
Outside the window was a very lovely looking garden of flowers settled on a hill. It was nearly perfectly arranged, and none of the flowers showed signs of wilt or discoloration from lack of care. There was one exception though.
One part of the flower garden was currently being attended by a very young girl. That wasn't odd, and the spot she was attending to had recently been brought back down to soil, most likely to grow new flowers. Something wasn't right about this sight though, as the small child, probably no older then some of her sisters just barely out of their infancy, was currently crying. No she was grieving.
"Count Mont's flowers are beautiful." Said an old maid that had sneaked up behind Siesta.
Siesta turned around startled to the old maid. "What?"
"Yes all of Count Mont's flowers are beautiful, and I'm afraid you now get to be one of them." The older maid said.
Siesta didn't know how to respond, she was a maid, not a flower, she didn't want to be a mistress. While that thought was a pressing one, Siesta couldn't help but still be fixated on the small girl.
"Why is that young child crying?" Siesta asked.
The older maid frowned. "While it's better you didn't ask to many questions young flower, young Melody's older sister got lost in the flower garden. She's gone missing, that's why she's crying."
"How does someone get lost in a small garden!?" Siesta raised her voice to the older maid, the calmness in her voice depleting quickly.
"A wilted flower must serve as a stepping stone for other flowers to bloom in the garden." The older maid said cryptically.
"I recommend you stay as pretty and sweet as possible." Said the older maid as she left the room.
Siesta ran to the door, only to find it locked again. She was about to start crying, she needed to calm herself.
Sitting back on the bed, she made herself as comfortable as possible before starting her exercise she had learned with Genkai. Calmness soon returned to Siesta as she entered a trance.
*Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers*
It had taken some time and effort, but eventually, Tabitha, Louise, and Kirche had mounted Tabitha's dragon Slyphid. Weirdly enough Guiche the bronze offered to help and come along. The dragon however could not handle the extra weight, or so Tabitha had claimed, making this a party of only woman on this rescue mission.
Guiche couldn't help but feel frustrated. He had seemingly lost all standing among his peers. Even Montmorency wasn't talking to him. It was like she finally had enough of it. All his ways, he had been pathetic and now he wasn't even being seen as having any use. Or at least that's how Guiche had taken it.
Even the zero... What a silly name, if she could summon such a familiar truly he was the weak one. Even she was seemingly more respectable than him. He was now a zero. He wanted to improve, he wanted to prove he wasn't useless. He wanted purpose, what had been his purpose before? Did he have one? No Guiche felt he had been just coasting on his looks, status, and talent for everything. None of those things really were his or his effort.
He had thought, no hoped, that he could at least help Louise with her mission. He wanted to prove he could at least help a zero, but even that was denied to him. Guiche really didn't know what to do with himself.
"And there they go." He watched as the girls flew off.
Before he might have commented on their beauty likened to flowers. Now Guiche couldn't help but think of them as people just like him, no people with a purpose, unlike him. He was jealous and sad. What was he to do now?
*Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers*
Count Mont was a man surrounded by flowers. It was what he lived for. His job with the royal family, pfft, that was but a necessity. He took no pride or worth in it. Yes his official job, a job for the royal family. He took no interest in it at all, no it was his passion to pluck ripe flowers instead.
Mont would always research his flowers, after all how could one enjoy a flower if they didn't fully understand it. All of the flowers subtleties, fragrances, and its history. Those things gave the flower meaning. By understanding the flower, Count could help the flower bloom to it's fullest before it's plucked.
After he finished freshening up, after all, there was no need to make the experience hard on the flower, at least for the first plucking. Yes being clean, smelling nice, yes these things would help calm a flower...
*Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers*
Calm, that was what one one might describe Siesta as, despite her current circumstances. For the Count who just entered the room, it was an annoyance. His flower wasn't acting properly to polination, she seemed calm, collected, not scared at all. How was he suppose to pluck a flower that didn't even know it was its time to bloom.
"So my beautiful flower, are you so resigned to your fate that you won't even give me the honor of breaking you in. You know that makes this so much less fun." Spoke the count.
The words registered but Siesta didn't want to give him the pleasure of an unwilling victim. Perhaps this wasn't the right strategy, but Siesta couldn't help thinking. In this situation she could only fight or submit. To fight would be what he expected, and if it was what he expected, then fighting would be the thing to do to give the man more pleasure. To submit denied the noble a challenge and any sense of accomplishment in breaking her.
Since she felt she could not fight him on any kind of equal front, then she would deny him as much as possible in the current arena. It was upsetting that her options were so limited, but that was the life of a commoner. Siesta almost found it funny, she had discovered the truth after all. Commoners like here were actually all void mages, she was really better than him.
"So you will stay silent and just deny me!" Count said angrily.
Siesta only stared back at him in response. She would not give him the pleasure of a fight, or even beg like some others might have.
"So be it Siesta of Tarbles."
Siesta was only momentarily shocked that he knew about her, but did not allow her surprise to show through.
"Your seven other sibling may start to miss their sister you know. Maybe I'll come have them visit the garden after you've wilted. Your sisters are like small flowers now, but perhaps I should pluck them in the future?" Count Mont stated.
Siesta started to shiver, her resolve starting to dissipate after he mentioned her sisters in Tarbles.
"Oh, that got your attention eh? Perhaps you just need another nudge, but first lets see underneath your thorns shall we." He grinned. The prey had returned.
*Chapter Eleven: Count Mont's Flowers*
Marguerite Gourdan, also known as Count Mont's head maid was currently walking through the mansions corridors. Marge had been infamous at her ability to handle flowers, hence how she became employed by Mont so many years ago. Now she was in charge of all the flowers as the head maid. Her newest flower would soon be slowly broke in by the master of the house.Hopefully the new flower would last long enough to help clean up this filthy place, after all flowers had jobs besides looking pretty. She would peak in and see how the master was coming. The harvesting of flowers was nothing knew to her, hell she had organized such events before she worked for Count Mont.
"Hopefully she isn't fully broken." She thought as she creaked open the door.
Marge hand released the doors handle as the door slowly glided the rest of the way open. The door left behind red streaks as the doors frame passed over a large pool of blood. Marge was too shocked to speak.
The new flower was standing over a crimsoned colored bed, made red by blood. What was left of Lord Mott was being repeatedly stabbed by a blood soaked nearly naked craving mad Siesta. In Siesta's hands was a fiery long golden pulsating sword. The sword was made up of her spiritual energy, although Marge only knew what she was seeing was magic. Magic without a wand at that.
"Monster." Marge spoke.
