Chapter 14: Freezing flames.
Okay, there are grammatical mistakes in the last chapters. The words 'boot' or 'booted' are referred to as push-kick so I'm very sorry if that confused you. That's all I have to say for now. Please enjoy the chapter.
Lin Kuei temple 4 years later
A Lin Kuei member was running towards Bi Han. The moment he got in front of the Grandmaster, he kneeled as he spoke.
"Grandmaster, there are two airships flying towards us. We suspected it to be Atlas's airships but once we radioed both of them, we received no replies. We've also received reports of trucks carrying an army of strange machines heading to our temple as we speak. This cannot be a coincidence. What are your commands, Grandmaster?"
"Turn the force field shield on in case of rain fire and close the gates. Evacuate the ones who are unable to fight. I personally will join the battle." Bi Han stated as he stood up and walked outside to find his brother.
LINEBREAK
The moment the elder Sub Zero saw his younger brother along with Cyrax and Sektor, he ordered.
"Cyrax, Sektor, you two are going with me and face the enemies head on while Kuai Liang defends our people."
"But I can fight, brother." Kuai Liang protested.
"That's why I need you to stay behind. In case we lose this battle." The elder brother advised as he walked away with the two.
Kuai Liang wanted to follow them but decided not to. He trusted in his brother's power and predicament.
LINEBREAK
Hundreds of Lin Kuei stood close to the gates as the enemies slowly tore it down. The three most powerful Lin Kuei remained calm as their enemies showed power. The rain fire from above did not make them flinch even a little. The moment the Black Dragon's cyber army broke down the gates, the Lin Kuei's assassins returned the attack with equal force.
Sub Zero used his power to slide in the middle of the enemy lines and froze the enemies he came across. The cryomancer then summoned an ice orb and slammed it on the ground. The orb exploded and froze the group of enemies around him.
As more cyborgs approached, Bi Han stood up and summoned two ice swords out of thin air. He deflected a sword swing from his right and stabbed his left blade into the neck of his enemy before swiping left with the same sword at the cyborg to his left. It blocked the first hit but Sub Zero stabbed his right ice blade into it's stomach.
One charged at him from behind so he let go of that blade and freezed the dead cyborg's blood to turn his left ice sword into an ice spear and impaled the cyborg behind him. The cryomancer then raised the spear to block a great sword from above, only to have it snapped in half. The cyborg then swung to it's right but Sub Zero dodged underneath the blade and used the broken blade of the spear to slice it's guts and stabbed it in the back.
The Grandmaster then dashed to his right to dodge the bullets and turn the spear's broken handle into a mace and smashed it in the face of the cyborg behind him.
Cyrax ran straight at the enemies and threw both of his buzz-saw shurikens at the frozen cyborgs. The shurikens cut through a few of his enemies like they were nothing before coming back to him.
The shuriken master raised his hands to catch them, only to dodge to his left as they went right into the bodies of two cyborgs behind him. Cyrax then caught his buzz-saw shurikens before shooting a pulse net at a group of cyborgs.
He raised his left arm up to block a cyborg's right wrist-mounted claw swipe and jabbed it in the face with his right shuriken in it's face before using the same arm to block another claw swipe. He then threw a left uppercut at it's jaw, breaking it and planted a bomb on the cyborg and delivered a left push-kick at it's chest, pushing it towards the group of other cyborgs stuck in his net. The bomb then exploded, killing dozens of cyborgs.
Bi Han looked at the hill on the other side of the mountain and noticed a dark skinned man and a man with a cybernetic right eye standing there as the army of machines marched passed them.
"CYRAX! SEKTOR! WITH ME!" The elder Sub Zero called out.
The Grandmaster used his cryomancy to slide towards dozens of cyborgs in front of him and froze all of them in an ice mountain. He slid on the ice mountain as the two followed him.
'If the leaders are taken out, the cybernetic army will be forced to retreat.' Bi Han thought to himself.
Lin Kuei's underground tunnel
Kuai Liang ordered his warriors to stay and protect the people, he turned around and walked upstairs and closed the door leading to the tunnel. He turned around and walked for a while before his ears picked up the sound of footsteps.
The younger Sub Zero stood at the corner and summoned an ice orb. Once the enemies were a meter away, he got out of the corner and hit the orb on the ground. The orb shattered on impact and froze five closest cyborgs while impaling the last two.
The younger Grandmaster turned to his right and created a spiky ice wall, blocking the incoming bullets. He then squeezed his right hand and the wall exploded, blasting ice shards at the cyborgs at the speed of a bullet, impaling them immediately.
The sound of footsteps then came at him in the same direction. Kuai Liang used his ice ability to slide towards the cyborgs with an ice dagger in a back-grip position in each hand.
He slid past the first cyborg's right side and used his right ice knife to slit it's throat before stabbing the second in the neck with the same knife. The assassin then ducked under the cyborg's left swing and used his left dagger to slash it's stomach and stabbed it in the back of the head.
As another cyborg swung it's axe to it's right, Sub Zero dropped his ice daggers ducked underneath it. He then froze his enemy before it could swing the axe again and threw a right jab at the cyborg's face, shattering the head like it was glass.
After that, Kuai Liang went outside to see the shield deactivated as the airships approached. The younger Grandmaster then used his cryomancy to create an ice dorm to shield them from the bombings.
LINEBREAK
Two members of the Black Dragons circling the airship back to drop bombs at the temple but a chained kunai shot straight through the window and embedded into one's head, dragging him off the flying contraption. The co-pilot freaked out but his scream was cut short by a flaming katana through his chest. The katana twisted it's blade upwards and separated two half of his torso, revealing Scorpion standing behind him.
The yellow ninja then threw three exploding shurikens at the trunks and jumped out of the airship and used his hellfire to push himself forward the second one. Hanzo performed a side kick while he was on air and teleported into the airship and knocked the left pilot dead with that kick.
Before the second pilot could react, he threw a flaming shuriken at her face, causing her brain to explode and splattered her blood and brain substance all over the glass.
Hanzo then threw a few exploding shurikens at the explosive crates and jumped out of the airship's window.
He put one of his feet downwards and used hellfire to push himself down faster. Just before Scorpion hit the ground, he teleported sideways so he was in the position of delivering a side air kick with the force of himself falling dozens of meters. The hit along with his hellfire made his hit as heavy as a destructive cannon ball and cleared down many lines of cyborgs.
The ex-Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu looked around and saw dozens of cyberized Black Dragons coming from his left and right side. Suddenly, ice spikes came from the ground and froze many of his enemies while impaling the rest.
Taking advantage of this moment, Hanzo took the wind dust canister out of his blade's sheath and pressed the release button. The canister sprayed wind dust around the ninja as he used his fire breath to light the wind dust on fire, creating a hellfire tornado, causing the ice to explode and killing the cyborgs that were stuck in the ice.
"You have my thanks, Hanzo." Kuai Liang said.
"They are retreating. It seems that the battle is coming to an end. Where's your brother?" Hanzo asked.
The younger Sub Zero then remembered something very important. He had not seen his brother or Cyrax and Sektor. The cryomancer then turned his head to the mountain on his right. It looked as if waves of water were frozen before it was able to hit the land. Kuai Liang's gaze then shifted to his unconscious brother being dragged towards a portal by a dark skinned man and Cyrax being dragged by… Sektor?
'That damn traitor! I will have his HEAD!' The cryomancer thought as he created ice underneath his foot like an ice bridge and slid towards them. The yellow ninja followed right after him.
Sub Zero then sucked the snow around him into his arms and pushed them forward, creating a tidal wave made of snow. Scorpion shot fire from both of his hands at the snow wave. Once ice and fire collided, it created a steam explosion at Geras's position.
Before any of that hit Geras, the undying stopped time and threw Bi Han's body through the portal along with Cyrax's. Geras then stomped his left feet on the ground and dirt a spiky dirt wall shot up from the ground to protect himself and Sektor as time continued. After that, they both walked through the portal.
Kuai Liang fell to his knees in front of his brother's blood soaked mask and let out a scream. His roar echoed throughout the land, as if it was shaking the very ground they were standing on. Hanzo didn't know what to do other than putting his left hand on the Lin Kuei's Grandmaster and assured him.
"We will avenge your clan."
That day, victory was in the Lin Kuei's hand, but no song was heard and no celebration was seen. The casualties were too large for anyone to celebrate.
Salem's domain
Geras brought the deceased body of Bi Han in front of Salem. She let out a cruel smile as she ordered him to take the former Grandmaster to the pit of darkness. There lay a shadow, a servant of darkness. One with the ability to multiply himself using his shadows.
"Take this mortal body and arise, my servant of darkness. May your shadows consume this world." The witch called out to her creation.
The darkness then consumed the body of Bi Han. His skin then turned black as dark clothes formed on his body. The master of the shadows - Noob Saibot was brought back to life to let his shadows roam the land of Remnant once again.
"What is it that you desire, my queen?" The shadowmaster asked while kneeling.
"You have the spirits, but you lack the power. The Grimm pit will serve well in giving you the strength for your mission." The Grimm Queen declared.
"And what will that be, your grace?" Noob asked again.
"Eliminate Scorpion and the accursed Shirai Ryu." Salem answered.
