Thunder clapped, lightening flashed, the wind blew and the trees rustled under their wrath. The birds were no where in the sky, and the animals on land were scurrying to shelter themselves from the everyday depressing rain.

However, in the Uzumaki residence, Naruto wished it was the weather that was was the cause of his depression.

Minato and Kushina had both woken up an hour ago, it was now 7:00 am as their phone displayed. They could not bear sleeping knowing that one of their children came home last night, crying his eyes out over something they have yet to know.

They both sat on either side of the conjoined beds deep in their thoughts, their backs turned to the boys sleeping between them.

Naruto's face looked as if he had been through hell and back. His face was puffy and his eyes appeared sunken. Sai, played as if he was sleeping, he had woken up around the same time his parents did, but did not let them be aware of him.

"Sai, I know you're awake." Minato mumbled, not turning to face Sai. Kushina looking at them in surprise.

Sai, let out a soft grunt as he rose up from his fake sleeping position and sat up on the bed whilst crossing his legs.

"How long have you been awake, sweetie?" Kushina asked, softly while caressing his cheek.

"Since you guys woke up. I'm sorry I stayed hidden. I just didn't want to disturb you guys." Sai spoke softly. Kushina gave him a small smile.

"Let's speak downstairs." Minato said, before rising from his sitting position on the bed and walking out the room and heading downstairs.

"Is he okay?" Sai asked, looking into Kushina's eyes.

"He's fine sweetie. Your father is just worried, just like I am but also he's trying to be a man and not express his feelings... properly." Kushina spoke, a single tear running down her cheek.

It hurts Sai so much to see the woman he calls his mother crying.

He wiped the tear away and gave her a hug. He was indeed socially awkward but he did know that hugs were a way to comfort and reassure others.

Kushina reciprocated the hug and stroked the back of his head.

"Thank you. I needed that." She admitted. They separate and she wiped away a few more tears that had slipped.

"Let's go downstairs." She said, holding out her hand for him to come along.

"I... I can't. Remember I made a promise to not speak of it." He hesitated.

"Sai, please it's okay we already know something is wrong. You can tell us now." She pleaded.

"I know but he's my brother and I promised him I wouldn't I just can't d-"

"I'll tell them." Naruto spoke in a monotone expression. Causing Kushina and Sai to be startled and look in his direction. Sai had felt like Naruto was awake but he thought it was just a feeling. Nonetheless, both Sai and Kishina jumped forward and hugged him seeing him awaken.

"Uhh guys you're crushing me!" Naruto joked, out of breath.

"Hehe sorry" They said in union with joy written all over their faces.

"How are you feeling sweetie?" Kushina asked, as she now caressed Naruto's cheek.

"I'll be fine." He lied.

He actually didn't know if he'd be fine or not, his mind was flashing with moments of him and Juugo and all those memories were making his heart ache. He wanted to cry some more but now was not the time. He had to explain to his parents what had happened.

"Okay." Kushina said, knowing that he lied.

"Let's go. Minato is waiting downstairs." She said, as she and Sai held out their hands for Naruto. He accepted them with a small smile finding their actions quite funny. Kushina and Sai glanced at each other and smiled seeing Naruto smile a bit.

When all three of them got downstairs they saw Minato sitting at the dining table waiting patiently for them with his mind racing with thoughts.

Sai and Naruto hesitated at first not really used to seeing their father like this. Kushina however sensed their discomfort and placed her hands on both their backs to give them support and reassurance. They glanced at her and she gave them a small smile and nodded for them to proceed.

Mentally indicating to them it's okay.

They walked up to the dining table and took their seats with Minato. Kushina sitting next to him Naruto and Sai sitting on the other side.

"H-Hey dad?" Naruto said cautiously.

"Yes Naruto?" Minato said lowly with red teary eyes.

The trio were shock to see him in such a state. Minato had been so deep in his thoughts that he had somehow thought of the worst outcomes of why Naruto was crying. He thought he had failed his simple responsibility of being a father and protecting his family.

"I'm ready to talk about what happened. But before I started I want to apologize for... skipping school yesterday." Naruto said.

"YOU WHAT?!" Kushina jumped, surprising everyone at how quick she turned back to her old self.

"Uh... My bad. Please go ahead sweetie" She said waving her hand frantically with embarrassment on her face. The three boys chuckled at her and her hotheaded temper.

"Okay. It all started like this..." Naruto began to explain what had happen from the moment they were at school, to when Juugo arrived, skipping their make out session.

He also mentioned their conflict with Menma with help of Sai, all the details at the mall including their reaction to the security guard that was trying to flirt with them (which Minato was quietly very proud of them for that) and his feelings when they were driving back home.

A mixture of emotions were prominent on both Kushina and Minato's faces as Naruto spoke. Mainly anger was the dominant one of them all. But, as tears slid down Naruto's face they decided that anger was not the way of dealing with the problem.

This was Naruto's first heartbreak. The most important thing he needs at a time like this, is comfort and support.

*queue sad music*

"...and that's why I came home crying last night." Naruto ended. His tears now falling swiftly down his face, to his chin and dripping to his lap.

Sai moved his chair closer to Naruto placed his arm around Naruto's shoulder trying to comfort his teary brother, who's head was now looking down at his lap. He hated seeing him like this, but he's glad he confessed most of it to their parents.

Naruto felt a pair of soft hands caressing his, on the table. He looked up through his teary eyes to see it wasn't just one person's hands, but both his parents.

"Naruto..." Kushina managed to say not exactly knowing what to say to him without making herself cry.

Minato was having a hard time as well, part of him wanted to shelter both his sons from the cruel world, while the other part wanted to knock Juugo's front teeth out. He sensed Kushina's struggle and decided to speak for them knowing exactly what she would want to say.

"Naruto, your mother and I are so so so... sorry that had happened to you. That you had to...endure such a thing...We are truly and deeply sorry that it did I-I..." Minato tried, having to take a pause as he himself was getting overwhelmed with emotions.

"I'm sorry." He said regaining a bit of his composure.

"I know that you had always wanted us to give Juugo a chance, but Naruto that was hard to do. We had our perception of him and we weren't going to let it go. But, believe me Naruto we would've never wanted this to ever happen to you, even if that meant our perceptions were right. I hate myself right now for not knowing. I... " Minato continued, before pausing again.

Kushina placed a on his shoulder to comfort him. He looked at her teary violet eyes and shared a small smile with her.

Within that moment of what his dad had said and the scene of two of them. Naruto realized something.

He realized that his emotions will affect his family, even in a negative way. He doesn't want that because at the end of the day, family is what he has left.

So, he took his last sniff to clear his nose and wiped the tears from his eyes as he stood up, and sported a huge boxy grin. His family looking at him confused.

"Mom, Dad, Sai... I'm not fully over Juugo and I'm still hurt, but I don't want that to affect us. I know you're only comforting and supporting me but let's save that for another day. I'll make you guys proud! Believe it, ya know." Naruto said giving them a thumbs up.

Everyone couldn't help but laugh mainly because of his antics despite the hurt he faced yesterday.

"Ya know huh?" Kushina said jokingly.

"Haha well Kushina you seem to be rubbing off on him a lot." Minato teased.

"Oh be quiet you. Sai still has my proper mannerism." She teased back, making Sai laugh confidently.

This was what Naruto wanted his family to be like.

"I want you guys to be happy." Naruto thought to himself.

At that moment there was a ring at the door. Kushina and Minato's eyes widened remembering what today was and also remembering why their home had little to no furniture.

"The moving truck!" The both screamed in union, sprinting to the front door like kids on the first day of leaving school.

Causing Naruto and Sai to laugh hysterically around the dining table.

Minato and Kushina, both smirking back at them before opening the door.
