800 hundred years ago, Tarragon, consumed by his hatred of humans, attacked the fortress city of Coland, killing every single human insight into walls in his human form. He showed no mercy killing the men, women and children without discrimination.

"Someone save us, anyone!" a woman cried before Tarragon killed her.

No help came, and soon the screens began to vanish as all the humans had been slain, but Tarragon hatred had not been consumed.

'Humans, I hate… all of them,' he said.

Back in the present, Tarragon was on top of the Black Dragon, knowing that they were making their way to Coland.

'Our destination is Coland,' he said. 'I guess you can call this fate as well.'

"Oh, Tarragon there you are," said Fishlegs flying towards him. "I was worried when you vanish all of a sudden."

"You forget that we haven't celebrated yet have we Anthurium?" Tarragon smiled.

"For what?" Fishlegs.

"For working things out with your friends," Tarragon smirked.

"I suppose you're right," said Fishlegs folding his arms. "Though I don't think now is the time for celebration."

"And look at those wings, they finally started to sprout," Tarragon added, apparently not hearing the word Fishlegs had said. "I mean they're not exactly legit, but we're celebrating."

"What are you trying to say?"

"I'm just picking on you, it is the kind of thing best friends do isn't it?"

"Best friends?"

A few hours later they had reached Coland and Hiccup immediately engaged Zeldris. The two of them engage, and soon they disappeared in a cloud of dust, hiding from view from the rest of them.

"This doesn't look good," said Fishlegs. "We need to do something."

"Not a problem," said Ragnar.

They then saw the rubble hitting some kind of barrier, much to their surprise.

"That is the dimension of distortion wall, an invisible barricade that blocked all unknown objects from ever entering Xeovell," Ragnar explained.

The dust finally cleared and they saw the front gate busted wide open, and Zeldris laid on the ground cut in half. Hiccup was standing on the demolished bridge looking down clutching Inferno in his hand. However, Zeldris then transformed into a skeleton and Hiccup wasn't surprised in the slightest.

"As I thought, it wasn't real," he said.

"To strike at him knowing that it was a trap," said a smooth, silky voice. "My my, you must really be furious with Zeldris ain't you Hiccup."

"Melascula," said Hiccup.

"Cocoon of Darkness!"

Hiccup was then suddenly consumed by dark magic everyone immediately rushed towards him.

"Dammit!" Snotlout you're recognising the attack. "That's Melascula's spell!"

When they got there, the dark magic is fully consumed Hiccup and then carried him off into the city.

"Damn, she got him!" Snotlout yelled frustratingly.

"What are we going to do? It's like he just vanished?" Heather asked.

"Don't worry he hasn't gone very far, I can sense is power coming from the centre of the city," Astrid assured them.

The twins had opted to stay behind in order to look after Ruby and Shanna allowing everyone else to make their way deep into the city. As they wandered through the streets, they saw several skeletons just laying there.

"Over there, right?" said Heather gesturing to the Senate building.

"Anthurium, look below you!" said Tarragon as Fishlegs flew over the Plaza.

Fishlegs' eyes widened. "What are those?"

The Plaza was completely filled hundreds of skeletons, maybe even thousands of them scattered around.

"The place is completely covered with skeletons," said Toothless.

"This is unsettling," said Eret. "Don't tell me that all these belonged to the massacred residents of Coland?"

"There's at least 1000 of them, and I can sense untold hatred around us," said Astrid.

Suddenly one of the skeletons began to move and then it rose to its feet much to everyone's shock. Unfortunately was not the only one as the other skeletons started to rise.

"Curses! Hatred! Kill!" they said.

"They're moving around," said Fishlegs.

"Are these things like my golems?" Heather asked.

"No, and unlike most other ones these beings are hundred percent hostile," said Astrid.

"It's a technique using the dead grudges, Vengeful Soul Resurrection Lock," Ragnar explained.

Slowly the skeletons began making their way towards groaning as they did. One of them actually punched Snotlout in the face, but he didn't even flinch.

"Come on, does she really think she can hold us off the Seven Deadly Sins with a bunch of weak little scrubs like these!" he roared.

He then swatted away the skeletons are in and punched it hard the face crushing its skull instantly. Soon the others began taking part in destroying the skeletons, Ragnar blasted them with his spells and Astrid began hacking them to pieces with her axe.

Fishlegs flew up into the air. "Now Increase!"

Chastiefol transformed into its increase form began pelting the skeletons with razor-sharp daggers, shredding them to pieces. Heather merely kicked them aside as if they were flies and Toothless began swatting them away with his tail.

"Where are you, Hiccup?" Snotlout roared.

Hiccup was currently trapped in nothingness and had transformed into his dragonborn form and attempted to blast his way out.

"Plasma Blast!" he roared.

Unfortunately, his attack had no effect, and then he heard Melascula's laughter.

"The Demon King's son resides inside of you remember?" she said happily as he projected herself in the nothingness. "Which means all your tax have dark powers inside of them. Still, what a delicious surprise, being brought back to life and losing your emotions every time you die is one hell of a curse to be given. What a tragedy and the look on your faces right now, it's priceless."

Hiccup turned towards her projection and swung his sword at it dispelling it, but sadly that did not shut her up.

"Take me back to the days when we destroyed your people. Listen it's just you and me here let's do something to pass the time. Oh, I know how about a riddle? The destructive force pulling out your entire body, all of that negative energy is being absorbed by the Cocoon of Darkness, and it's about to be converted into something. So what do you think that something could be? If you manage to guess right, I'll reward you by releasing you in three days after Ruby gains every one of her memories."

She then laughed, which only made Hiccup even more furious.

"The answer is simple, your negative energy is being transferred to them," she said as she showed him the skeletons gaining more power. "This is the Dead Soul Enhancement Lock… Carnage Grudge. This is sort of speak, Hiccup and the Seven Deadly Sins destroying each other."

The Seven Deadly Sins were still battling against the skeletons, but they suddenly gained a power boost. One of them was able to punch Snotlout so hard that he fell to the ground and they seemed unfazed by Fishlegs' attacks. They then started to change form spikes began to grow on the heads and hands.

"Did they just shapeshift?" Heather stared.

"Interesting, their offence, defence and resistance to magic… those powers have searched," said Ragnar.

The skeletons charged at them and Heather began crushing them with Gideon, but Fishlegs saw somehow managed to get past her guard.

"Watch out, on the left!" he yelled.

Heather turned around just in time to receive a blow in the face so strong that she crashed into one of the buildings. Astrid stood firm and immediately raised her Blood Fury into the air.

"Raging Calm!" she yelled, and a pulse immediately emitted from the axe hitting the skeletons. "Calm yourselves, be at peace and let go of your anger!"

However, this seemed to have no effect on the skeletons kept on charging towards her.

"Astrid, get down!" Ragnar yelled.

Astrid quickly ducked just in time for Ragnar to blast them with a powerful blast of magic disintegrating their upper torsos.

"My spell didn't work," she said, looking up at her. "I wasn't unable to calm their aggression."

"Then clearly their grudges are too strong to let go even for you," said Ragnar. "And from what I can tell, the source of their power is overwhelming negative energy emanating from the centre of this town. It must be our adapted Captian which means they are more than mere annoyances."

The skeletons began to rise even those who had halved their skulls disintegrated.

"Now True Spirit SpearChastiefol!" Fishlegs yelled as the daggers spun around him. "Fourth Configuration…"

Chastiefol then transformed into its sunflower form, but it now resembled a coniferous plant, and its vines cause the skeletons to be tossed up into the air.

"What's going on now?" said Toothless as he flew around the battlefield.

"Now… Sunflower!" Fishlegs yelled.

Then began firing magic bullets up at the skeletons that have been tossed into the air, demolishing them in an instant.

"Have some Rush Rock!" Heather yelled, firing large boulders of the skeletons.

Snotlout was attacking the skeletons with his mace, but they appear to be utterly unaffected by his attacks. In fact, they immediately turned the tables on him and began pummelling him into the ground.

"You look as if you need some help, Sir Snotlout," said Eret as he removed his brooch. "Never thought I'd see the day when you get pummelled into the ground."

Snotlout grabbed the skeleton's leg and glared at him. "Stop yapping and look out behind you!"

Several skeletons were now charging at Eret, but he didn't look concerned in the slightest.

"To remain calm and collected is what makes a knight," said Eret.

Suddenly the skeletons exploded into bursts of flames.

Melascula was completely turned back by all this.

"W-what just happened?" she said stunned. "Those spirits are being fuelled by Hiccup's negative energy."

Hiccup smirked. "So that's how it works, huh? Well, I'm afraid that's just too bad because the Seven Deadly Sins were brought together by fate destroy you Ten Commandments. To underestimate us would be a big mistake!"

Melascula was furious but then regained her composure. "Well… I'm not so sure about that."

The Seven Deadly Sins had destroyed all the skeletons save for one.

"So have we all powered up or what?" Heather smiled.

"Now there's only one left," said Toothless.

Then suddenly a dark aura covered the skeleton, and a massive shock wave rippled out slamming into them.

"This one's powerful," said Heather setting increased magic power.

"It's almost like the power all the other spirits we kill waited about one," said Fishlegs.

They then saw the skeleton and began to grow and showed no signs of stopping.

"That's it exactly," Melascula smiled. "All of that disperse negative energy is now concentrated in one single being. Witness the birth of the ultimate carnage grudge spirits!"

She laughed as she saw Hiccup just standing there in silence.

"What's wrong Hiccup, because you're looking a little pale?"

Cracks were now beginning to fall within the skeleton's body, and Ragnar just stood there calmly.

"It certainly is intimidating," he admitted. "But against the magic power of Hiccup, who possesses the soul the next Demon King, my money is still on him."

Suddenly the skeleton began to implode no doubt its body was not capable of holding all that magic power was collapsing.

Melascula's mouth fell wide open as she stared in horror and Hiccup nearly stood there with a small smirk on his face.

"What's wrong, Melascula?" said Hiccup. "Cat got your tongue, you will very confident a few moments ago?"

Melascula closed her mouth and smirked, clearly she was not through just yet.

Ragnar then suddenly sensed something was off. "Everyone keep your minds in check, or it will possess your souls!"

Then everything around them began to go dark, and everyone sensed an eerie feeling in the air.

"What's happening now?" Fishlegs asked.

The dark spirits that were inside the skeletons were now exiting from the bones began to surround the entire city.

"This is bad," said Tarragon. "The disembodied spirits mind cluster."

"Hey, you guys," said Heather.

Everyone turned and saw Heather's eyes had turned black and the pupils were now a blood red. Additionally, tears of blood were flowing down her cheek.

"Is it okay that I kill you?" she, then began laughing.

At the Black Dragon, Shanna was well aware of what was transpiring within the city.

"Heather's mind has been swallowed up by the vortex," said Shanna as she lifted herself out of bed. "One that's overflowing with fear and rage."

She didn't take more than one step before collapsing.

"Are you all right?" Ruffnut asked, rushing to her side. "You shouldn't be moving."

"I refuse to let this happen," she said and attempted to stand only to collapse once again.

"You're in no condition to move," said Tuffnut.

"So let us come with you," said Ruby as she helped her up.

"You can't," said Ruffnut strongly.

The rest of the Sins had no idea what to do as they looked on helplessly at Heather who had been possessed.

"Heather, stop this!" Fishlegs pleaded. "You're not in your right mind right now!"

Heather ignored him and began swinging her hammer around. "Drole Dance!"

All of them quickly moved back in order to avoid getting hit by her hammer.

"Oh no," said Fishlegs as he and Ragnar flew out of her reach.

"This is strange, she doesn't appear to be under the influence of hypnosis or any kind of mind control," Ragnar noted.

"She's not it isn't from Melascula," said Fishlegs. "It looks like she's been possessed by the grudges of the people who were slaughtered."

"It's highly unlikely that a physical attack or magical power will work against them," said Tarragon. "Anthurium, forgive me as I'm afraid this is all my fault."

Fishlegs stared at him. "Wait? It's what? What's that supposed to mean?"

"We can't go easy on her," said Ragnar gravely.

"Her power level is 48,000?" Astrid stared.

"What are you talking about, we have to with she's one of us!" Snotlout yelled up at Ragnar.

"The way things are now we don't really have that luxury," said Ragnar.

"Hold on, wait!" said Fishlegs as he placed himself in front of them. "Hurting her isn't going to work, we'll never destroy what possessing her that way." He then turned and looked at Heather. "Don't get consumed by those grudges, your soul is stronger than that forced them out of you!"

"Anthurium, get back!" Tarragon yelled.

Heather then kicks Fishlegs sending him flying across the city and Astrid quickly rushed over to him.

"It would seem a more drastic approach is needed," said Eret and then he punched Heather Wright in the stomach. "I do apologise, Lady Heather, I'll try to make this as painless as I can."

Astrid rushed over towards Fishlegs and found that he was still alive, though he was barely conscious. He looked towards his helmet and saw that was severely dented, no doubt of the full brunt of the blow which possibly saved his life.

"How is he?" Ragnar asked.

"Fortunately for him, it looks like his helmet took the brunt of it," she said.

Heather had recovered from Eret's previous attack and then punched him as hard as she could. However, when the dust finally settled, Eret was completely unfazed.

"Making it really difficult to go easy on you, Lady Heather," said Eret as he picked himself up.

"Just hang on for a second," said Astrid. "I'm afraid Fishlegs is right fighting her won't solve the problem. I'll rescue her."

Heather then charged towards just as she raised her axe. "Raging Calm!"

She then created a pulse that slammed into Heather stopping her right in her tracks.

Astrid was currently inside her mind trying to locate and bring her to the surface.

"Heather, for the sound of my voice and guide me to you," said Astrid. "I'm sure you already realise this, but we're all worried about you. Please answer me!"

She then heard someone crying within the mist and found Heather sitting there crying.

"I'm no good… I did a terrible thing to Ruby," she cried.

"It's all right," said Astrid gently.

"Everything that is happening to her is my fault! What will I do if she ends up dying?"

"I see that exploited the wounds in your heart," said Astrid as she approached her. "Come on, let's go back; we're all waiting for you."

Heather then looked up at her. "Astrid… I just…"

"No!" said a voice. "This body belongs to us!"

Suddenly the water beneath their feet began to rise washed Astrid away and pulled Heather away from her.

"You're not getting it back!"

"Take my hand!" Astrid yelled, extending her hand.

"Astrid help!" Heather yelled as she was pulled away.

Astrid then found herself in the outside world and seconds later was struck by Heather's hammer. The blow was strong enough to send her flying, and she skidded across the ground.

"Gotta ya," said Heather.

Melascula laughed at the sight of this. "Isn't watching friends turn on each other, simply the best? Speaking of which you would ever think your beloved Astrid would be embedded inside the doll of that traitor Gowther."

"What's going on out there?" Hiccup yelled.

"If you need to know why don't you just escape on your own?"

Astrid's armour had been torn to pieces from the blow, but other than that she was fine.

"That body belongs to a friend of mine, you can't have it, so I'm going to drive you out," Astrid vowed.

"Oh, really?" said Heather dubiously. "Well, what if I do this first?"

She then pointed the sharp part of Gideon towards her face, and Astrid realised what she was about to do.

"No, stop it!" Astrid pleaded.

Heather pulled her hammer back was about to hit herself with it.

"Snatch!" Snotlout yelled.

Heather had just hit herself with her hammer, but Snotlout had snatched the impact of the blow, leaving her unharmed. However, Snotlout was now in great pain, and he was unable to perform the same feat again.

Heather merely chuckled as she raised her hammer once again and everyone was now completely helpless.

"No, Heather, don't!" Fishlegs yelled.

"Enough," said Tarragon and Heather stopped in her tracks. She turned and saw Tarragon hovering in midair just above Fishlegs' helmet. "Your wrath is aimed at the wrong person if your vengeance needs a real target, and that would be me. I am the one who was so deluded that I slaughtered all of you innocent people… me, Tarragon."

"Wait, no," said Fishlegs, with tears in his eyes.

"You are that fairy," said Heather as the helmet floated towards her. "The one we saw that day." The spirits that are possessed Heather remembered the day that Tarragon had slaughtered them. "I remember you. The fairy who killed us. The one that destroyed this town."

Heather then hovered her hand directly over the helmet.

"No, don't go! Please, Tarragon!" Fishlegs begged.

"I'm sorry, this is goodbye," said Tarragon smiling down at him. "But I'm glad that I have a chance to be your friend."

"Tarragon," Fishlegs cried.

"Just be sure to live your life, all right."

Fishlegs then watched as Heather crushed the helmet in her hand and like that that he was gone. Heather opened her hand, revealing the twisted helmet which fell to the ground, and everything around them started to become calmer.

"The raging aura around us is calming," said Astrid then her eyes widened. "But not completely! There are still some souls that are not willing to leave!"

Sure enough, several souls were still embedded inside of Heather and were refusing to release her.

'Did you think that would satisfy our vengeance?' said one of the souls.

Heather was trying to break free with all her willpower. 'Stop it, I don't want to hurt anyone. Get out of my head!'

"Imperial of Wrath of the Golden Wind!" a voice yelled, and suddenly Heather found herself unable to move.

"You can rest in peace now, let there be light!" a second voice yelled.

A beam of lightning struck Heather's back and exiting from her chest with the vengeful souls embedded in her. The moment they were out of her body, they faded away, and soon the sky reverted back to normal.

Heather turned her head and found standing there were Shanna and Ruby with the twins standing beside them.

"I don't get it," she said with tears in her eyes. "Why would you do all that for me?"

"Because you're somebody that I care about," said Ruby smiling at her. "Isn't that enough?"

The two girls can help but smile at one another.
