Chapter 26: Moving Up
Following Wednesday - Grace and Makayla ' s Beach House
The next Wednesday after Slammiversary , the Extended Family and Inheritors got together to move Grace and Makayla into their new house on the beach just as promised after the PPV was over on Sunday. The group was impressed with how much room there was out at the beach house as they all looked at Southern Comfort when everyone had arrived .
" We figure that there maybe times when we have most of you over here , so , we had to have enough room for get togethers . " Makayla said .
" Not a bad idea , " Daniels said .
" But , you girls , couldn ' t do anything smaller ? " Jarrett asked .
" My dad didn ' t teach me to think small , Papa Jeff , " Grace said .
" We ' ve been saving up for it since we lost the last place . " Makayla added .
" Well , let ' s get the girls moved in and then we can hang out . " AJ said .
The move in went much quicker with a lot of the bigger guys like Gallows to help them get stuff in , they made sure everything was settled and as it should be before they decided to chill out .
" We have food on the way , guys , " Grace promised as her dad looked out at the beach .
" Sounds good , " Sabin said as he , Shelley , and Devine worked on getting electronics set up for the girls .
" We didn ' t mean to put you guys on TV and computer setup , but you guys are the most technologically advanced dudes we have . " Makayla scratched her head as TJ and Dakota tried to help them .
" Don ' t worry we have these two learning the tricks of the trade . " Devine said .
" Good , that way if I need anything fixed I can just call TJ , " Makayla winked at her man .
" You have your own room for that stuff now , so , stay out of mine , " Grace looked at the two .
" No problem , " TJ agreed with a smirk .
" I swear I will have one of the guys dump you in the pool . " Grace teased .
" Don ' t mess with TJ , " Makayla said .
" You kids are ... " Jarrett started .
" Trouble , " Rosie and the Twins said .
" We know , " Mason said .
" I noticed that it ' s far enough away from other houses , " Chris said .
" While we may still have people on occasions walking up and down the beach , we didn ' t want it to the point where we are bombarded when we are hanging out with family and friends . " Grace said .
" We love our fans , but I think we all know it ' s safer when they don ' t know exactly where we are and what we are doing at all times . " Makayla added .
" Yeah , some of them could be a little excessive to the point where it becomes unsafe . " Bobby agreed .
" And only the Extended Family and Inheritors know about this place so far , due to not wanting wierdos show up like we ' ve dealt with in the past with certain groups . " Grace said .
" Good , then I don ' t have to worry about you , " Chris hugged her daughter .
" No sir , " Grace agreed hoping he would take that as a hint to quit worrying as the Wolves showed up with the pizzas .
" I need to teach you girls not to bring pizza around the Cowboy . " Gail said .
" Aunt Gail , dad , was up early this morning to help me get my stuff ready to be moved here , so , he earned it . " Makayla said .
" Do what I can ? " Storm said .
" Alright , let ' s eat , " AJ said as they got food and sat around like family .
" It definitely reminds me of the place , Chase and I had together , " Andy said .
" Chase said the same thing the other day before Slammiversary when I showed him the pictures . " Grace said .
" You two are going to be alright out here ? " Chase asked .
" Look it ' s not as far as you think , " Makayla said .
" Yeah , " Chase said looking at Grace .
" If dad isn ' t allowed to worry about me , then you ' re not allowed to worry about me either , bro , " Grace said .
" Sure , " Andy said .
" I ' m okay , I ' m not going to break anymore guys , " Grace looked at the Naturals knowing what they were worried about .
" You two promise that if anything comes up you will call someone to help you ? " Storm said .
" We promise , " Makayla said .
" Grace , that means you , too , because we know you inherited your dad ' s habit of not telling anyone when something is going on with you , " Chase said .
" I promise I will call one of you if something comes up , but I will be fine and I don ' t want everyone worrying about me , the people that hurt me are gone . " Grace said making all of the ones who had known her for along time look at her .
" Dad ' s getting old , Grace , so he ' s gonna worry about something . " JC said .
" Boy don ' t make me bend you over my knee . " Chase warned his son .
" He has a point , Uncle Chase , " Andy Jr. said .
" That goes for you , too , nephew . " Chase said .
" Ahh , " Daniel said .
" All of the boys have something to say , " Andy said making Chase look at his partner .
" What else is new with the Naturals ' side of the family ? " Shane asked .
" Except for the girls , we ' re good for you , Pops , " Talia said in a matter of fact tone making all of them laugh .
" Hmm , what did we do with Rosemarie and Steve ? " Allie asked .
" They were going to see Raven about helping us with Dixieland . " Jarrett said .
" Hey , this is a no depressing and stressful topic zone . " Makayla pointed out .
" Mmhm , " Grace agreed as Eddie massaged her shoulders .
" Grace , " Jessie said .
" Look , we ' re not doing anything illegal here . " Grace stated as she enjoyed the massage .
" Do you ... " Andy Jr. started as Grace glared at him .
" Hey , don ' t ruin my massage by bickering . " Grace said before Eddie and Andy Jr. could get started .
" If you two don ' t start playing nice we will force you to get along . " Angela said .
" How are you going to do that ? " Davey and Dakota wondered .
" My family comes with handcuffs . " Grace reminded them .
" You mean you hijacked a pair of them a couple of years ago during the war between the Saints and Tennessee Connection and still haven ' t return them . " Chris said .
" Really ? " Chase looked at Grace .
" They came in handy and still do in certain situations . " Grace said .
" Yeah , I bet , " Chase chuckled .
" Not my fault you guys didn ' t plan ahead ; Chase likes to do things on a whim . " Grace said .
" Don ' t I know it , " Andy said .
" Considering I learned to think from you , Devine , and the rest of the X-Division around here . " Grace looked at Andy .
" Good girl , " AJ , Kazarian , and Daniels said .
" We are the best influence around here anyways . " Petey said .
" Your daughter is smart , " Shelley said to Chris .
" You should be proud . " Sabin added .
" Some of us in the X-Division are a bit crazy though . " EY said .
" Exactly , " TJ agreed .
" And if you guys think Grace isn ' t crazy then you haven ' t properly met my sister , " Rosie declared .
" I take after Chase in that department . " Grace said .
" Amen on that one . " The Franchise said .
" You two like to scare us to death . " Traci agreed .
" Oh yeah , " Debra said .
" Just be careful , babe , " Eddie said as he pulled her back into his arms .
" That ' s not my style , Wolfman . " Grace hugged Edwards .
" All you can do is ask , Eddie . " Storm said .
After lunch , most of the group left back home leaving Grace and Makayla with Chris and James to talk to them alone .
" Girls , " Chris said .
" We ' ll be fine , " Grace sighed knowing they were about to get a lecture .
" I know you two promised the guys , but I want both of you to say it to us , " Storm said .
Makayla and Grace looked at each other wondering why they were getting this again .
" What ? " Chris asked .
" Are we in trouble or something ? " Grace asked .
" No , why ? " Storm asked .
" Because all of a sudden I feel like we are being treated like kids . " Makayla said .
" It ' s not you two that we are worried about , it ' s all of the problems we ' ve dealt with in the past since the Aces & Eights Crisis , " Chris said making Grace and Makayla look at each other .
" We promise to call someone if something goes wrong or comes up . " Grace and Makayla both said .
" But , only if you two and everyone else promises to quit worrying about us . " Grace added looking at her dad and Uncle James .
" Fine , we promises to quit worrrying about you two , " AMW said .
Chris and James then left the girls alone in their new home making the two look at each other .
" We ' ll be okay , " Grace said .
" I know , " Makayla said as they cleaned up the house and decided to chill out on the back deck with drinks watching the waves on the beach .
" This was our best idea to date . " Grace said .
" Good way to relax after a match or when we come in from being out on the road . " Makayla said .
" Yeah , " Grace agreed .
" So , what ' s the plan ? " Makayla asked .
" Plan ? " Grace looked at her partner .
" Against the Kingdom , " Makayla said .
" I was going to ask Jarrett if we could keep Rosemarie and Allie to be able to deal with unfinished business with the Kingdom , but if you think we should go with something completely different I can go with it . " Grace said knowing they had to talk about it at some point .
" Maybe we should see what Jarrett says first as far as keeping Rosemarie and Allie , " Makayla said .
" Okay , " Grace said just as her phone vibrated .
" Huh ? " Makayla asked .
" I ... " Grace started as she looked at who was calling a little surprised .
" Who is it ? " Makayla asked .
Grace showed her the names of Ron Horn and Ryan Stone on her phone , the name of the two who had once been apart of KHAOS , but were now on good terms with the family and Inheritors after helping to bring down their former bosses and bringing them the news of the first wave of Dixieland .
" Hello , " Grace said then listened to the two understanding that she now had a back up plan if things didn ' t work out with LoS .
" We may need you two as a Plan B if things don ' t work out right . " Grace finally said and both understood what was going on as they hung up the phones .
" We can now move forward with the distruction of the Kingdom within Dixieland . " Makayla said .
" Oh yeah , " Grace agreed as they high-fived each other .
Following Day - Chase ' s House
The next day , Grace decided it was best to drive out to Chase ' s house to inform him of the phone call she just received the previous day .
" Hang on , let me get the door , " Grace heard Chase said after she knocked on his door .
" Well , look who decided to visit . " Chase said letting her in .
" Who were you yelling at ? " Grace asked .
" Him , " Chase pointed at JC .
" Hey , Grace , " JC hugged her .
" You driving your dad crazy ? " Grace asked .
" Like he does to us , " JC said .
" He speaks the truth . " Grace looked at the Natural .
" Yeah , yeah , I hear you , " Chase said as he looked at Grace knowing she wanted to talk about something .
" Jacob go upstairs for a minute so we can talk , son , " Chase said .
" Yes sir , " JC looked at his dad curiously before going up to his room .
" Thank you , I wasn ' t sure if I should say anything around anyone else yet . " Grace said making Chase look at her concerned .
" Should I be worried ? " Chase asked .
" I don ' t think so , this is more of a courtesy call , than anything that ' s gonna be dangerous . " Grace said .
" Alright , I ' m listening , " Chase said .
" Ron and Ryan are coming back to help with Dixieland , " Grace said making Chase look at her .
" Okay , when did this come up ? " Chase asked .
" Ron called yesterday after everyone had left , he and Ryan saw that the Kingdom show up at Slammiversary and felt like they needed to be here to help out . " Grace said .
" Very well , what ' s the plan from Southern Comfort against the Kingdom ? " Chase asked wanting to here what she and Makayla were planning .
" Right now , we are hoping that we can keep Rosemarie and Allie to help us finish what we started in ROH . " Grace said .
" LoS versus the Kingdom ? " Chase asked .
" Part two , if this goes sour or it can ' t be done we were looking for a Plan B , infact Ron and Ryan maybe our Plan B , a completely outside team coming in as a surprise to take out the Kingdom before they can get settled in to help Dixie Carter and her crew . " Grace explained the rest of the plan .
" Not bad , just remember that the family is behind whatever you do , but be careful . " Chase said .
" We will , Chase , " Grace hugged her dearest friend .
" Good girl , " Chase said still feeling protective over the one that he had known since she was really little .
" Don ' t say anything to the others yet , we are trying to keep one step ahead of Dixieland before anyone gets any ideas of bringing someone else in to hurt us . " Grace said .
" Very well , I will keep your secret . " Chase agreed .
" Alright , I ' m going to meet up with Jarrett and Sting to talk over Plan A with Makayla . " Grace said before hugging Chase .
" Good luck , American Kid . " Chase said making her chuckle as she left .
Impact Zone - Jarrett ' s Office
" There she is , " Makayla said as Grace walked into Jarrett ' s office , Jeff Jarrett and Sting both were sitting there .
" Before anyone gets worried I went to see Chase , " Grace said .
" Should have known , " Makayla said as Shane walked in .
" I had to as a courtesy , " Grace looked at Makayla .
" What is this meeting about ? " Jarrett a little more curious .
" We were hoping we could at least keep Rosemarie and Allie until we can deal with the Kingdom , as LoS has unfinished business with the four of them . " Makayla said .
" We were planning on keeping both of them anyways as a part of Impact Wrestling , in fact the Board of Executives was very impressed with both of them so they agreed with our decision to keep them . " Jarrett said .
" Okay then , we have additional aid coming to help deal with Dixieland , " Grace said .
" Who ? " Sting asked .
" Ron Horn and Ryan Stone , " Makayla said making the three look at them .
" They did help finish KHAOS and brought us the news about the first wave of Dixieland . " Grace added .
" Yes , but make sure you two are absolutely sure they are with us and are up to the task . " Shane said .
" We will , " Makayla said .
" And LoS taking on the Kingdom ? " Grace asked .
" I think we can allow it , " Sting looked at Jarrett and Shane .
" Yes , how about an eight-man tag next Thursday , LoS versus the Kingdom ? " Jarrett suggested .
" We can do that , " Makayla said .
" Then we will make it official with the board . " Shane said .
" Girls , if you are going to deal with them , make sure you do so with integrity because the board is paying close attention to everyone and if they feel like you don ' t represent Impact well then all four of you could be gone along with the rest of the family . " Jarrett warned them .
" We will wrestle the Kingdom and keep the ideals that have been apart of TNA since day one . " Grace said .
" Good , you two can go . " Sting dismissed them .
" That went well , " Makayla said after they had walked out of Jarrett ' s office .
" Very well , " Grace said .
" Hide me , " Eddie said hiding behind Grace .
" What did you do ? " Grace asked her Wolfman .
" Edwards , " Mason said as he walked out of the guy ' s locker room with a dart attached to his head .
" Wow , " Makayla laughed at her little brother .
" Edwards get out here . " Mason said .
" Hey Dakota and RJ were shooting them , I just moved out of the way from getting hit . " Eddie peeking out from behind Grace .
" RJ , is my dad here with the twins ? " Grace asked .
" Yes , he is , " Chris said walking into the locker room area looking at Mason .
" Eddie shot me with a dart , " Mason pointed at Edwards and his head with the dart still on it .
" I told you Dakota and RJ shot at me and I moved out of the way causing the dart to hit you in the forehead . " Edwards said as CJ came over .
" Mason come here , " CJ said .
" What ? " Mason leaning down as CJ took the dart off of his forehead causing a red circle to appear .
" Nice , " Makayla said as Grace and Eddie laughed .
" Why do you guys like to pick on me ? " Mason asked .
" Well normally it ' s your dad or Chase , but they ' re not here . " Chris chuckled .
" Aw , Uncle Chris , not you , too , " Mason said .
" Don ' t expect to get any help from him , Mason , " Grace said .
" Aw , " Mason went back in the locker room causing them to laugh at the red mark on his forehead .
" Wow , " Dakota said .
" That was close , " Eddie whispered .
" You causing trouble , mister , " Grace poked Edwards in the chest .
" Maybe a little baby , " Eddie said kissing her .
" Don ' t think that will get you out of it , either , love , " Grace said kissing him back .
" What about dinner and a movie ? " Edwards said as both of them looked at Chris .
" Hey , you two have done heard my spill and you are both old enough to know better than to cause trouble , all I ask is you two keep everything safe and clean . " Chris said .
" Thanks dad , " Grace said as the Wildcat walked into the locker room .
" So , what do you think ? " Eddie asked .
" Dinner and a movie sounds good , " Grace agreed .
" I may go see TJ then tonight . " Makayla shrugged .
" Good plan partner , good plan , " Grace patted her on the shoulder .
