AN: I apologize for taking so long to write. Holiday season can be pretty hectic. I've had tons of work and my brother came home from California, so that meant I've been spending time with him.
I also sorta lost my inspiration and I'm still searching for it. Anyways… Thank you for your comments! I read them all and soak up the love. I hope 2 chapters make up for abandoning you guys. Even though they are 2 small chapters. Again.. SORRY! I'll try to do better.

Chapter 11

Meliodas saw red. His own brother had threatened the life of his one true love. Even after experiencing love himself, he was a heartless bastard. They'd gotten so much closer together the last few months, how could he do this? Did he even know Elizabeth was the whole reason for his drastic change into an actual caring brother? No. It didn't matter. Excuses, reasons, logic evaded Meliodas as darkness flooded him with unparalleled strength.

No introductions where needed as Meliodas's packed punch sent Zeldris zooming through the castle, into a stoned-lined wall, which he dented with a grunt.

"What the fuck? Meliodas? What are y-?" His question was cut short as he noticed the death glare he was receiving from the first demon prince. The darkness coming from him seemed to darken the already poorly lit room.

It was brutal. Unrelenting. Unforgiving. Meliodas hits lived up to his rage. He punched Zeldris from one end to the room to the other and just as his body was about to collide with the wall opposite to the one he'd destroyed moments ago, Meliodas appeared again, kicking him to the other end.

The same went on, next time Zeldris was about to hit the wall, Meliodas appeared in his path to knee him with as much force as the last hit. Meliodas was simply too fast, much faster than Zeldris's reaction time allowed. It went on like that for a while. Meliodas was playing a game of tennis with Zeldris's body.

Cusack rushed to the scene as soon as he could and intervened, sending an attack towards Meliodas. This caused his rhythm to falter as he dodged the dark flames Cusack had released. The moustached demon proceeded to catch his protégée in the air, saving him from Meliodas's attacks.

"What in the Demon King's name is going on here? Why are you attacking my Zeldris?"

"HE TRIED TO TAKE WHAT IS MINE. I WILL KILL HIM."

"Ah… young master… you're truly splendid." Said a teary eyed Chandler.

"CHANDLER!" Demanded Cusack

"Yes, yes. I know. He can't go killing the second demon prince. I mean he could. Evidently he's more talented but…" A snap of his fingers trapped Meliodas in a Perfect Cube.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Meliodas screamed in rage, bouncing off the edges of the cube trying to find an exit.

Zeldris grunted in pain, his wounds already healing. "Meliodas… wh- what is going on? I've never seen you like this. I took nothing from you I swear!"

"DON'T LIE. GOWTHER FIGURED IT OUT. YOU USED THE VAMPIRES FOR THIS. AFTER EVERYTHING YOU'VE TOLD ME."

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!"

Meliodas began hitting the walls of the cube with all his power, throwing hell blaze after hell blaze attack, but nothing worked. He's demonic power was starting to drain out. With less darkness clouding his vision he finally saw the sincerity in Zeldris's wide-eyed look. He seemed terrified of him. Could he really not be responsible? He'd accused him with no evidence to sustain his suspicions. He based everything on far off conclusions that Gowther had drawn.

That goddess held too much power over him. The mere thought of losing her could send him in a rampage. The fact that she'd been hurt on his account made him downright murderous even against his own kin. He could've killed his flesh and blood if Cusack hadn't stopped him.

"Y-you didn't use the vampires as mercenaries to off someone?" Asked Meliodas in a more calm manner.

"NO! I wouldn't do that. I'm the King's executioner. I do my own killing. And I wouldn't bring… someone into my problems."

Someone, as in Gelda. Meliodas knew it was true… Zeldris wouldn't use his connections with Gelda for his personal agenda. He cared for her too much to put their relationship in jeopardy. People could easily find out if he had her giving kill orders for him.

The darkness dissipated, leaving Meliodas on his hands and knees in utter shame at his previous actions. The demon prince was bowing to his underlings; a sight never before seen. Followed by a second first, an apology from said demon. Time seemed to stop for those witnessing Meliodas say, "I'm sorry… I lost my head. Chandler, let me out. I wish to be alone."
