Welcome to 2021! A brand new year is starting! New year, new beginning, new chapter!

I'm so sorry for taking really long, I had a lot of business going on like school work, and I also decided to take a small break on this. But at least I've got a new chapter ready for all of you.

Anyways, let's-a-go!

[OST: Super Mario Land - Marine Pop, Sky Pop]

The Bros were now flying in the air with the Sky Pop. As they saw some airships invading desert land.

"Looks like this spaceship has got an army." Modern Mario said. "We'll need to watch our flight."

"Why not just fly towards them at maximum speed?" Classic Mario asked

"Well, we want to be careful." Modern Luigi replied. "Plus, we haven't used this thing for a- Chickens!"

Suddenly, some Chickens were dashing towards the Sky Pop to take it down.

"Quick! Use the cannon!" Classic Luigi exclaimed as Modern Mario smashed the button to shoot some cannons to them, knocking them out of the sky.

"That was a close call!" Modern Mario sighed. "But we'll need to watch out for flying enemies."

"Speaking of a flying enemy," Classic Luigi replied. "What is that?"

"It must be a Roketon!" Classic Mario gasped. "Haven't seen them in a while, but at least those cannons can destroy them."

The Roketon missed the plane, but still had a plan.

"Eat, Bullet Bulls! You stinkin' plumbers!" It called as a Bullet Bill burst through the cannon and sped towards the plane.

"We need to dodge that Bill!" Modern Mario exclaimed.

"At least this Sky Pop taught me something." Classic Mario smirked.

"And what would that be?" Modern Luigi asked.

"It's the definition of holding on to your seat." Classic Mario replied.

"I don't like where this is going." Modern Luigi whimpered.

Classic Mario grabbed the plane wheel and did a stunt, before firing cannonballs at the Bullet Bill.

"Aye, I had a great flight." The Bullet Bill sighed before the cannonball knocked him out of the sky.

"We got 'em!" Classic Mario smiled.

As they kept flying, more Chickens and Roketons invaded the sky, Classic Mario grabbed the handle harder, and did shot more cannonballs to knock them away, while doing some flight tricks.

"Fly away! They've got cannons!" A Chicken exclaimed as some flew away, and some got hit by cannonballs. Some airships also retreated.

"Retreat! Retreat!" A Roketon called.

"You know. Normally extreme plane rides make me airsick, but so far I feel fi-" Modern Luigi was about to continue before he started to gag, then, he threw up out of the plane offscreen as Classic Luigi looked at him grossed out. "Never mind…"

"So it looks like that we've cleared the flock of enemies," Modern Mario sighed in relief.

"Now we're heading to a Coin bonus!" Classic Mario cheered as they were now arriving at a room full of Coins.

"Let's collect them!" Classic Mario continued as he grabbed the handle to do some more tricks, before his Modern counterpart stopped him.

"Let's chill out with the extreme tricks," Modern Mario replied. "We don't wanna get sick."

"Okay." Classic Mario sighed as they all collected their Coins, and used the cannons to break through some bricks. Then they saw some upside down pipes.

"I heard that a giant fist from inside one of the pipes will try to punch us here." Classic Mario said. "So that may mean it's do or die!"

"WAIT! WHAT?!" Modern Luigi screamed.

Classic Mario sped as fast as he could, and the fist was about to close in!

"Quicker!" Modern Mario panicked.

"No problem!" Classic Mario replied as he went even faster, and then…

"Whew, we missed." Classic Luigi sighed in relief. "That fist was inches away!"

They were right, the fist was close to hitting them, but thankfully missed. But it wasn't over yet.

"Hey, we've found that spaceship!" Modern Mario cheered.

"Why does that spaceship look familiar?" Classic Mario asked. "I swear, it looks like the one in Sarasaland's Chai Kingdom."

"THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME ONE FROM YOUR ADVENTURE!" A loud voice called.

Suddenly, the Spaceship started to slowly turn to them, and a purple alien was seen inside it, looking furious.

"Is that?" Modern Mario asked. "Tatanga?"

"Tatanga?" Both of the Luigi's gasped.

"Yes! It is none other than me!" Tatanga yelled.

"Alien?" Classic Mario sighed. "Haven't seen you since 1992."

"That's not my name." Tatanga groaned angrily.

"It is on the preview material." Classic Mario smirked.

"So that's who you fought while I was not in your Sarasaland adventure!" Classic Luigi replied. "Rude to not include me."

"Wh-What's going on?" Modern Luigi whimpered. "Why are you here?"

"Bowser and his Classic buddy asked me to defeat you," Tatanga explained. "After I searched around desert land, I finally found you, and now… I'll make you perish!"

"Revenge? Of course, Bowser and Koopa's doing." Modern Mario groaned.

"You're wanting a fight, Tatanga?" Classic Mario asked. "We'll give you one!"

[OST: Super Mario Land - Final Boss theme]

And just like that, the battle began.

Tatanga pressed a button and started to shoot some bigger cannonballs at a fast speed.

"Look out!" Modern Mario exclaimed.

They ducked from them, and the alien shot another one to damage the Sky Pop.

"Quick! Shoot one from our plane!" Classic Luigi exclaimed and Classic Mario hit the button to charge a bigger one from their Sky Pop. The cannonball hit his ship twice and damaged it a bit.

"Agh! My ship!" Tatanga yelled. "If you wanna throw me out, I'll take you out with me!"

He pressed another button and shot some energy weapons that flew like a boomerang. They missed at first, until it came back and-

"Ouch!" They all exclaimed.

The energy weapon hit them back and damaged a wing. Making the flight more difficult.

"Whoa my!" Modern Luigi panicked.

"We've been hit! We've been hit!" Modern Mario yelled.

"Hold on tight!" Classic Luigi ordered.

"Man! He means business this time!" Classic Mario gulped before he grabbed the wing, and tried to fly. "Angry Alien is literally bringing us down!"

"Classic Bro! No time for jokes!" Modern Luigi shrieked.

"We need to fire another cannonball!" Modern Mario yelped. "I'll press the button!"

He tried to aim at Tatanga's ship, and tried focusing hard. Then, he fired the cannonball.

"Please hit his ship, please hit his ship." Modern Mario thought before he heard a crash and saw that it hit his ship again.

"MY SHIP!" Tatanga gasped before he turned red. "THAT'S IT! NO MORE MR. SOFT ALIEN!"

Tatanga had enough, and he flew away angrily.

"I think he gave up." Modern Luigi sighed in relief.

Suddenly, they felt a very hard bump on the back of their Sky Pop that sent them flying away uncontrollably. They were dazed and surprised after the heavy hit, and they saw that Tatanga was still flying with his bent ship.

"How did we not see this?!" Modern Mario asked.

"How do you like that, plumbers?!" Tatanga bellowed.

Classic and Modern Mario both were very angry at that surprising bump, and saw that their place was billowing smoke, but they didn't give up. The classic red plumber gripped the wheel harder.

"IF YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE US DOWN," Classic Mario yelled.

"WE'RE TAKING YOU DOWN WITH US!" Modern Mario continued.

The Sky Pop, still having enough power, flew very fast.

"Eat a spicy meatball!" Classic Mario yelled as he tried pressing the button, but it wasn't responding. "What happened?!"

"It's broken!" Modern Mario called.

"Oh no!" Modern Luigi shuddered. "Are we actually going to accept defeat?!"

"No! We aren't!" Classic Mario replied. "I may have to make a more reckless decision, but it should stop him!"

"WHAT?!" The Modern Bros and Classic Luigi exclaimed. "ARE YOU MAD?!"

"It will stop him, and trust me, we will survive!" Classic Mario exclaimed as he flew faster and charged the plane towards Tatanga's ship.

"I can't watch!" Modern Luigi whimpered.

They kept flying, getting closer to his spaceship. The Modern Bros and Classic Luigi braced for impact, while Classic Mario kept charging towards it's until…

CRASH!

They hit his spaceship and it exploded and fell apart, and Tatanga jumped off with a parachute.

"YOU'LL NEVER SEE THAT LAST OF MEEEEEEEEE!" Tatanga growled as he splashed into a huge lake. Unfortunately for him, his spaceship was also heading into the water. "Oh boy…"

[OST stop]

It landed with a huge splash, creating a wave the size of a tsunami, and the Goombas and Koopa Troopas who were watching ran away.

"At least we'll get cool!" A Goomba called.

Meanwhile, the Sky Pop was also falling into the sea, and it also landed with a splash, albeit smaller than the spaceship from Tatanga. The Classic and Modern Bros escaped from the water, and were gasping for air.

"Is everyone alright?" Modern Mario asked.

Modern Luigi spat out some water.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Modern Luigi responded. "What about you Classic me?"

"Same here." Classic Luigi sighed.

"At least we get some cold water." Classic Mario smiled. "I'm impressed you still have it in you as of now, Modern me."

"Well, thanks." Modern Mario replied. "I may be growing up, but that doesn't stop me."

Suddenly, the spaceship ached and clanked until a Power Star flew out of it. Modern Mario saw it fly out.

"Hey, we've got another one!" Modern Mario beamed.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Classic Mario asked. "Let's grab it!"

And they did.

[OST: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Star Get]

You got another Power Star!

"YAHOO!"

[OST stop]

Meanwhile, Tatanga was floating in the lake with bandages and bruises.

"Bowser and King Koopa are definitely going to fire me after this." Tatanga sighed as he looked at this now destroyed spaceship.

This chapter was pretty difficult to write, and I'll admit, this wasn't as easy as I thought.

I'm glad I was able to finish this chapter, and now I'll be working on the next one.
