The sun streaming in through the window causes you to wake from your slumber the next morning. You rub your eyes whilst sitting up, only to find the space next to you was empty. Before disappointment could hit home you catch the smell of something deliciously sweet and you get up to investigate. Your met with a sight that makes your heart swell. Leon is by the stove, frying pan in hand as the mixture inside sizzles away. He hears the sound of your footsteps and looks up with a smile. "Good morning (Y/N)" You hop up on a stool by the breakfast bar. "Good morning, what are you making?" Just as the question leaves your lips he flips the pan in the air and you realise it's pancakes. "I hope you don't mind, I saw you had some leftover mixture in your cupboard and couldn't resist whipping up a batch. Here you go." He hands you a plate that has a stack of pancakes on, syrup oozing down the sides and your stomach rumbles in reponse causing you to blush and Leon to bark a laugh. "I suppose I made the right choice!" You mumble an embarrassed thanks and grab a fork, eagerly digging into the stuff as Leon dishes up his own, joining you on the opposite side.
There's a peaceful silence as you both eat your pancakes. As you finish yours you realise you can hear the sound of munching behind you. You turn to see Scorbunny happily eating his own miniature pancake. "That is so adorable! Thank you for doing that for him." Your (E/C) eyes sparkle as Leon grins. "Why of course. Can't treat one and not the other." He winks making you giggle as he stands, going to take your plate. "Oh wait, please let me help with the washing up. I feel bad doing nothing!" You join his side at the sink as you clean the cutlery whilst he dries. This had to be the most perfect morning you had ever had in your life. But there was something you had to be sure of. You wait until you've finished up the last plate, as you dry the soap suds from your hands, you turn to him as he finishes drying it off. "Um...Leon?" There's a nervous edge now to your voice and he seems to catch on as he sets down his towel and gives you his full attention. "Thinking back on everything that was said last night...does this mean we're now dating?" You look up at him, trying to read his expression. Luckily he doesn't keep you guessing for long as he pulls you into a hug. "I'd like think so." He murmurs into your (H/C) hair and you embrace him tightly.
"There is one thing I'd like to make you aware of." He gently pulls you back after a minute and looks seriously at you. "I'm not trying to blow my own horn here or anything. But as you are my girlfriend I'd like to support you in whatever way I can both emotionally and materialisticly. (Y/N) if you are struggling somewhat with whatever drove you to work in The Love Ball in the first place, I'm more than happy to help so that doesn't have to be the case anymore." You bite your lip at his words. Of course working there was only ever meant to be temporary. But you would miss the friends you had made and the freedom that came with dancing on stage. Leon saw the conflicted look on your face and tucks a loose strand of your hair behind your ear. "You don't have to answer me now. We can take this one step at a time. But I have to make it known (Y/N) I'm a very selfish man, I don't take too kindly with sharing your beauty with the other males of Galar." A protective streak worms it's way into his tone causing you to shiver slightly. "I understand. Quitting won't be a huge problem. I can still meet with my friends and get by with you at my side. Besides I'm sure there are more innocent alternatives for my passion of dance." You end your sentence in a chuckle and a look of relief bubbles up on your boyfriend's face.
"Now then, let's say we freshen up and go for a walk in the nearby park? I'm sure Scorbunny would appreciate the change of scenery and I have a feeling Charizard will get an attitude if I keep him in his ball much longer!" You nod enthustically and go to get ready. You put on your favourite sweater accompanied by leggings and knee high boots. You top it off with your winter coat to keep the cold at bay and some gloves. You put Scorbunny back in his ball as Leon finishes getting ready and with that you both step out, hand in hand for your first time as a couple. The sun shone high above your heads but there was a brisk, chill wind to remind you it was winter. As soon as you get to the local park you both let out your Pokèmon who frolic around in the grass. Naturally, this draws attention as fans of Leon spot his famous partner and they rush to greet him. You stand quietly by his side, understanding that this would become a regular thing now. "Hey Leon is that your girlfriend?" The question draws your attention as the ex-champ proudly puts an arm around you. "Yes she is. Now if you'd please excuse us, we would like to enjoy this beautiful park's scenery whilst we can. Thank you for your continued support." With that you two break away from the crowd, leaving his fans in awe staring at your backs, wondering who Leon's new girl was.
The evening is upon you and your now sat in Leon's massive apartment. It had an incredible view of the city, all lit up looking like fireflies glimmering in the dark. Leon had suggested heading back to his as he was excited to show you around his pad as he rarely had visitors. After a grand tour and some dinner from your favourite takeaway, you were both curled on his sofa watching a movie. Now back at his own place, your boyfriend had changed into his own comfort attire which consisted of simple grey sweatpants and a T-shirt with a fading image of a Pokèball on it. It looked to be well worn and possibly shrunk a little over the years as you were acutely aware of how it hugged his biceps and chest. You had honestly lost all concentration on the film a while ago as you found your eyes kept lingering on your man. Even dressed down he was still so attractive and memories of the night of the party flashed in your mind causing a rosy flush in your cheeks. 'What am I thinking? Stop staring at him you pervert!' You scold yourself hoping he wouldn't notice your inner turmoil. But it's too late.
"(Y/N)are you feeling okay?"
'Oh shit.'
