Chapter 27

The next morning Darjeeling woke up with Kay wrapped around her torso, she felt a small pain on her neck and felt the mark left by the sleeping girl from the previous night. She sighed as she knew that there was no way of getting out of the bed until the other woke up or moved on her own. She looked over at Kay who was sleeping peacefully, she kissed her on her cheek. Kay woke up and smiled at Darjeeling who had been watching her sleep.

"Good morning beautiful," Kay said "I hope you slept well."

"After last night I can't argue."

"What about today, you are going to tell your friends, right?"

"Well, after me staying over here and all, I have to now"

Kay sat up and threw her legs over the side of the bed. Darjeeling did the same and stood. The mark on her neck was bruised and noticeable, Kay noticed and smiled at her handy work. The two girls did morning routines and Darjeeling sat on the bed.

"Kay?" She said breaking the silence.

"Yeah?"

"I'm nervous, what if my friends don't accept me after I tell them? I am very reluctant to tell them."

"Darjeeling things will be fine. There is no reason to think they would. I am going to be there no matter the results."

"Thank you. I just want things to be ok."

"I am sure that this will be fine. Now let's go get something to eat"

"Alright, Assam said they would be here around noon. So we have a few hours to ourselves."

The two finished their morning routine and left the room. They headed to a small cafe near the dorm building. They sat down and ate their meal and talked about things. The two wandered around the ship until noon drew close. They arrived at the arrival dock on the ship and saw the transport vessel docking to the ship. Assam, Rosehip, Pekoe, Rukuriri Masala, and Ceylon climbed the steps and met them on the deck. Kay led them to a place that was well known amongst the Saunders students for lunch.

"Thank you guys for coming over. I am sorry that I left without saying anything." Darjeeling said to her friends

"It's fine, at least you are ok." Ceylon said as got to the restaurant. "Wow, this place looks amazing."

"So, what were you doing over here anyway commander?" Masala asked as she took a sip from her drink.

"That is actually what I wanted to talk to you about, this is very important and I hope that you understand." Darjeeling said with a sigh. "Me and Kay are dating, we have been for a few weeks."

"I mean, is it bad to say I am not shocked? Both of you have shown a liking towards one another without knowing it. I am proud of you both still." Masala said without a second thought.

"I hate to agree with her for once, but she has a point," Ceylon said, receiving a slight glare from her fellow driver.

The others agreed with what the two had said and told them that no matter what, they are still friends. Kay smiled and looked at Darjeeling who looked like she was holding her breath. Kay leaned over and planted a small kiss on her cheek. This action caused Darjeeling's cheeks to turn to a bright shade of red.

"See, I told you things would work out. I am proud of you, this was a huge step for you." Kay had said. As she did, the food arrived and the group ate and conversed. The group finished and Kay told them she had the bill covered. The group waited outside and ran into (in Rosehip's case slammed into) Naomi and Alisa. Rosehip immediately apologized to them and moved out of their way.

"Hey guys, how are you doing?" Naomi said with a smile.

"Quite well," Darjeeling answered, "where are you headed with all that gear?"

"The airsoft field, I did grab Kay's gear for her." Alisa said

As the group was talking Kay exited the restaurant and greeted her friends. Alisa handed Kay her gear, Kay turned to the St. G girls and asked them if they wanted to join them at the field. They all agreed and made their way to the field, when they arrived there were other groups of Saunder students there and the sound of the games going on could be heard.
