Over the Edge: In Your House: 31/5/1998
WWF Over the Edge: In Your House was live at the Wisconsin Center Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The first match that aired was the tag team encounter of L.O.D. 2000 (Hawk and Animal) and the Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball). Control of the match went back and forth between the two teams throughout, until 8-Ball attempted to switch places with Skull. Droz, who was at ringside in L.O.D's corner, interfered by clotheslining 8-Ball, allowing Animal to powerslam and pin Skull.
After that match, The Rock came out to insult the Milwaukee audience when suddenly Bladewolf slides into the ring behind him after coming out through the crowd. The fans cheered loudly or screamed in excitement as the Bladewolf stood behind the Rock who did not know who was behind him until he backed up and bumped into a chest then slowly turned around.
"Rock, you aren't going to like the view." Lawler said as the Rock saw Bladewolf and went wide eyed before being laid out with a hard right hand. "Oh no!"
"Oh hell yeah you mean!" JR nods.
Bladewolf slides out the ring as the Rock recovers and the Demon WOlf grabs a steel chair which makes the fans begin cheering loudly as he slides back into the ring, a sadistic look in his eyes.
"Oh no." JR now said. "We all know what this man is like when a weapon is in his hands."
"A psychopath is what he is!" Lawler said. "Look at what he did to Triple H at last year's Survivor Series!"
Bladewolf places the chair down before grabbing the Rock and then hoists him onto his right shoulder, gets him into position infront of him upside down...AND THEN HITS A TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER ON THE CHAIR!
"Good God!" JR exclaims.
"Poor Rocky!" Lawler said with wide eyes. "Somebody help him!" The NOD begin running down towards the ring. "Yes!"
The lights go out when the NOD hit the ring and Bladewolf vanishes under the cover of darkness. The NOD tend to their leader as the crowd booed them.
The next match was the encounter of Steve Blackman and Jeff Jarrett. The two superstars fought back and forth exchanging control of the match, however, Jarrett would grab one of Blackman's arnis sticks and attempted to hit Blackman with it, however, Blackman countered and retrieved the stick and hit Jarrett with it. Blackman then went to the top rope to attempt an aerial technique, but Tennessee Lee hit him with the arnis stick, leading to Jarrett pinning Blackman for the win.
The third match was the encounter of Marc Mero against a mystery opponent chosen by Sable, where if Sable's representative lost, she would have to leave the WWF. After Mero was introduced, Sable came out and told Mero that she did not need a man to fight for her, insisting she would fight Mero. Mero then lay down and allowed Sable to pin him. However, he reversed the pin at a two count and rolled Sable into a small package, winning the match via pinfall. This forced Sable to leave the WWF.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The crowd cheered loudly as the lights went out for a few short seconds and when they eventually came back on...THE BLADEWOLF WAS IN THE RING! He was standing right behind Mero who slowly turned around...INTOA GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Mero up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf walks over Mero to check on Sable, picking her up bridal style and heads to the back with her in his arms.
After this, Bradshaw and Taka Michinoku fought Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh and Sho Funaki) in a Handicap match. Bradshaw dominated the match by squashing all Kaientai members, but in the end Michinoku was pinned by Togo following a diving senton.
Now it was time for the Rock vs the Bladewolf for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
A bell begins tolling after the wolf howl as Jim Johnston's Dark Side starts up. Fire goes off at the entrance and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf walks out to a loud pop from the fans.
"The following contest is scheduled for One-Fall and it is for the WWF Intercontinental Championship!" Howard Finkel announced as Bladewolf walks towards the ring. "Introducing the challenger first, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs...THE BLADEWOLF!"
"Well Bladewolf has the chance to make history once more by winning the Intercontinental Championship at just 21 years old. He could not only become the youngest WWF Champion, but also the youngest Intercontinental Champion." JR said.
"That's IF the Rock is able to make it out tonight." Lawler reminds him.
Bladewolf rolls into the ring and takes off his trench coat, his theme dying down as he looks at the entrance, waiting for the Rock to come out but after nearlya minute, there was no sign of him, no music. WWF Commissioner Slaughter comes into the ring with a microphone.
"Rock, you have ten seconds to get out here and defend your title...or I will strip you of it right here tonight." Slaughter orders. "10...9...8...7...6..5...4...3...2-"
The Rock's theme hits and out comes the Intercontinental Champion with a neckbrace on him, the Intercontinental Championship in hand. A referee was with the Rock, who he was arguing with.
"Well here he comes." JR said.
"Oh my gosh, what a man." Lawler said, sucking up as usual. "What a Champion, JR. Do you hear that entrance music, Slaughter? Know your role, shut your mouth."
The Rock kept complaining about his neck as he approached the ring and caught Slaughter on the way there, trying to convince him to call off the match but Bladewolf had enough of waiting, he wanted title gold right now so he leaves the ring and walks up behind the Rock, grabs him then tosses him right into the ring apron hard.
"Bladewolf not waiting any longer." JR said as Bladewolf unloads on The Rock. "Look at those lefts and rights."
Bladewolf stops and tosses the Rock back into the ring and follows him, He tells the referee to ring the bell and he does so.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"And now this match is underway officially." JR said.
"No! This is unfair to Rock! he's injured, JR!" Lawler said.
"You really think Bladewolf gives a damn if he's hurt?" Jr asks him like he's stupid.
Bladewolf rips off the Rock's neck brace and tosses it aside before he punches away at him with heavy right strikes befor egetting to his feet and then grabs the Rock by the neck, lifts him straight into the air...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
"Chokeslam!" JR exclaimed.
"Come on Rock!" Lawler cheered on the Champion.
Bladewolf grabs Rock and lifts him onto his shoulders...BEFORE HITTING THE WOLF'S HOWL! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet and glares down at the Rock coldly. "Here is your winner and the NEW! WWF Intercontinental Champion...THE BLADEWOLF!"
"Bladewolf has done it, Bladewolf has won his second singles title in the WWF and is the youngest at just 21 years old." JR said. "And in less than a year he has done this.
Bladewolf is given the Intercontinental Championship and places it onto his shoulder before leaving the ring and heads to the back as the Rock groans and recover sin the ring.
Hope you all loved that chapter, Bladewolf is now the new Intercontinental Champion, and the youngest.
