Chapter eleven

Bogrod got in contact with Remus, there was a meeting set up between Remus, Harry and the muggle military. Part of it is run by witches and wizards who left the magical world because of discrimination. The magical military squad was going to lead the attack on the terrorist known as Lord Voldemort, and his death eaters.

A woman in her sixties took Remus and Harry to one of the military bases. The three stepped into the room to not only see it full of military personal, but also the prime minister and his advisors. What surprised Harry was the queen of England was in there, Harry instantly went down on one knee and bowed his head to the queen.

'You may stand Mr Potter.'

'Your Majesty,' Harry nodded.

'Everyone take a seat and let's hear about these terrorists from two experts,' John Major said. He waited until everyone sat then looked at Harry, 'We heard from one of our spies that you are called the chosen one Mr Potter. Could you explain please?'

'Yes, sir. There's a prophecy made about a baby boy that was born at the end of July to parent's who had thrice defied the dark wizard. The boy would be the one to vanquish the dark lord. It says the dark lord will make him as his equal,' Harry pulled his hair back to show his scar, 'Many believe my scar is the mark.'

'Harry got the scar when he survived the killing curse as a baby,' Remus said.

'I was told no one survives that curse.'

'Normally they can't, but Harry did and he is only person to ever survive that curse. He is known around the magical world as the-boy-who-lived.'

'So, this prophecy says only you can kill him,' John said.

'We believe it means me, but we also worked out there is a chance it could mean another. A friend of mine, Neville Longbottom, he was born the day before me. His parent's and my parent's were all in the order of the phoenix and they did defy Voldemort three times. Neville wasn't marked with a scar of any kind, but he was emotionally marked when his parent's were cursed into madness. We've been putting together a lot of plans, but one main thing is Neville and I are going to be side by side and take out Voldemort while everyone else deals with the death eaters.'

'We know they will turn up so we're making sure there are enough of us to deal with them while Harry and Neville deal with Voldemort.'

'How can you be sure he will turn up with his…death eaters?' John asked.

'Right now, he has a snake, Nagini, who he is mentally connected to, the snake is at Godric's Hollow watching my parent's graves and my old home. Voldemort believes I will turn up there soon to visit my parent's graves since I never had a chance to go before. We have two aurors with us, one is the head of the department of magical law. We also have some of the teachers at Hogwarts, one is a duelling champion,' Harry looked at Remus who nodded, 'Remus has heightened senses and is a lot stronger than most. And I'm due to have my last magical release in another few days which should put me equal in power as Voldemort.'

'If not more so. Harry is already one of the most powerful wizards around, more powerful than many adults,' Remus said.

'We'll get to that. But please explain why you would be stronger than others?'

'I'm not dangerous to any of you,' Remus sighed, 'I'm a werewolf, I was bitten as a child. I make sure to lock myself up on the wolf nights and I take the wolfsbane potion which allows me to keep my mind when I transform.'

'Remus is one of the most caring people you could met. He used to baby sit me, before my parent's died. My parent's trusted him to be alone with me. Remus was also one of my teachers at Hogwarts. He's no danger to any of you, only to death eaters and other werewolves.'

'There are others?' the queen asked as she stared at Remus.

'Many, all supporting Voldemort. One of the reasons we came up with this plan was to make sure they didn't attack during the full moon. The one that bit me is the leader and he is vicious. He prefers to bite children while their parents watch. If they attack on the full moon, it would be a massacre, everyone would be slaughtered. But he has more dark creatures your majesty. He has dementors, which can only be seen by magicals, yet non magicals can feel them. He also has vampires, giants, inferi and trolls. We heard he tried to get some dragons but the people he sent never returned.' Remus explained.

'We know what dementors are, no thanks to that idiot Fudge,' John said then looked at Harry who laughed, 'Something amusing Mr Potter.'

'Sorry sir, but he is an idiot. I told him at the end of my fourth year at Hogwarts that Voldemort returned. I told him the names of the death eaters that turned up the night he was reborn. He refused to believe me then tried to have me expelled, not to mention, kissed by a dementor to shut me up.'

'Fudge put out a smear campaign about Harry. For nearly a year everyone believed what Fudge was saying. He also sent a woman to Hogwarts who ended up torturing Harry, on Fudge's orders.'

'Not just me, but many students were tortured by that…witch. She is still working at the ministry and has brought in some disgusting laws. She wants to kill or lock up all muggleborns.'

'We'll get to more of this later. Let's see if we can help with these plans.'

'One thing sir, ma'am. Neville and I plan to use a gun to kill Voldemort, but we got hold of grenades which should do a lot of damage to the death eaters. No one apart from a few know we're going to use muggle methods because we know they would throw us in Azkaban if they did find out. It will give us the element of surprise and they would not know what these muggle items are, so they will not be able to summon them. Remus and few others are going to summon the pins from the grenades when they are in place.'

'I wasn't going to allow those people inside the ministry to lock up my cub,' Remus stared at Harry who stared back, 'They might even send the dementors after him.'

'We can give a guarantee that all of you are free from prosecution,' the queen said.

'I don't mean to sound disrespectful ma'am, but the purebloods will not care what you say. Sorry, but they think all muggles are basically dim-witted fools.'

'They forget that it was by royal decree that they were allowed to govern themselves as long as they followed the rules set out for all British subjects.' John said. 'Since we know they have broken the decree many times, we plan to send our people into the ministry of magic to take over until investigations and trials are done. The queen plans to make sure fair and impartial elections are called for the minister of magic along with your Wizengamot. We know that many seats are hereditary, they will remain only after they have been proven innocent.'

'So Harry will keep his families seat along with the Black seat which was willed to him when his godfather died?'

'Yes, even though we did not know you came from an old family.'

'James Potter, Harry's father came from a very old family. Sirius Black, his godfather and who was innocent of the crimes he was sent to Azkaban for. His family is older again, an ancient and noble house. Harry will be Lord Black when he turns seventeen next week, but that will only be when he sits with the Wizengamot. Harry will always be known as a Potter.'

'We will get to all that later. Explain more about these dark creatures, especially the inferi. I don't believe any of us know what they are.'

'Inferi are dead bodies brought back using dark magic.' Remus said.

'You would call them zombies. They can be fought and killed, by fire or beheading,' Harry said.

'Harry is correct, fire is one of two ways to deal with them. Werewolves can be killed by beheading or being stabbed in the heart by something made of silver. But werewolves in human form are strong, fast and have heighten senses, like smell and enhanced eyesight.' Remus said.

'Vampires are like the tales, they cannot go out in the day time but they can if it's a very cloudy day. They can only be killed by beheading or sunlight.' Harry said.

'Giants are resistance to most magic and are strong. We plan to use guns, but more along the line of automatic machine guns or pump action shot guns, but I have had trouble getting hold of any. We are not sure how many rounds it would take to put down a giant, but it would be a lot. Trolls are similar, but they aren't very smart or fast, they are strong though.' Remus said.

'As you would have felt the dementors you should know that so far they can't be killed but they can be driven away using the patronus charm. Remus taught me how when I was thirteen because Fudge put dementors around Hogwarts.' Harry said.

'The trouble with the patronus charm is that not everyone can do them. Many adult witches and wizards cannot produce a patronus.' Remus said.

'I was able to teach a group of students to do the patronus charm during my fifth year. If one hundred dementors turned up, between our patronus's, we should be able to drive them away. We just need to keep focus or the patronus will fade.'

'Can you explain what a patronus is and can we see them since we cannot see dementors?'

Remus nodded to Harry, 'I could show you if I can use my wand.'

Everyone looked at the queen, 'I believe it would be wise to see what these patronus's look like. Go ahead Mr Potter.'

'Thank you, Your Majesty,' Harry flicked his wrist, his wand popped into his hand. He thought of a happy memory, 'Expecto patronum,' Prongs burst forth from the end of his wand and galloped around the room, 'I can him Prongs.'

'James Potter was an animagus, he could turn into a stag and he called himself prongs. Harry's patronus looks exactly like his father's animagus form. When you are able to concentrate, you can have your patronus relay messages.'

'I haven't had time to learn that yet, but I plan to,' Harry said then lowered his wand, his patronus faded from sight.

'Harry was able to drive off around one hundred dementors when he was thirteen. Most adults are lucky to drive off ten. Between the members of da and the adults who will be with us that can do a patronus, should drive them away, hopefully they will return to Azkaban.'

'Before we begin to work our plans to correspond with yours. Tell us who might be able to fill in as minister for magic once we take control of the ministry?'

Harry and Remus looked at each other, 'Amelia Bones, who is staying at Harry's home right now after being attacked. She is an auror and head of the department of magical law enforcement. Apart from her niece, all her family was slaughtered by Voldemort and his death eaters. She would make a great minister,' Remus said.

'She would, she's fair and not corrupt like many, nor does she believe that purebloods should get away with everything like others do. Arthur Weasley would also make a great minister, but he's a bit soft to make the hard decisions. Kingsley Shacklebolt, who you should remember prime minister, he guarded you a few months ago. He's an auror and a member of the order of the phoenix. Right now, he's working behind the scenes to try to take out death eaters.'

'We could probably give you a list of about a dozen people who could do the job as minister or head of the different departments,' Remus said.

'Then let's begin there. After you work on the list, we will see about organising another meeting where we can coordinate your plans with ours.'

Harry and Remus were given a notebook and pens, they were also given cups of tea and some sandwiches and snacks. They began to discuss who would make a great minister then write them in order from best, Amelia bones, all the way down until they had eleven names on the list. They also wrote what they do now and anything else they could think of about that person. But both Harry and Remus felt a lot more confident now they were going to have help from the muggles, including the magical military squad.
