Lawyer James Alotta was working in his office with his secretary Teresa. They were busy with three big cases to be taken into court and his partner Robert Douglas was in court for one of the.

Alotta has been a lawyer a little over 20 plus years with his father having started the firm on Wall Street. At first it was himself and his wife Ann before moving up to a much larger firm with four lawyers.

His secretary Teresa saw the two at the door opened as she asked who they were.

"We are from the 12th precinct and we need to asked your boss about one of the lawyers about his abili on the night Melanie his girlfriend flew with him by helicopter from the cruise line. I am sergeant Esposito and this is my partner Detective Kevin Ryan."

"How can I help you detectives?" He needed to asked with the question about Robert.

"We are checking out his abili on whether or not he was working with you here at this firm?" Esposito asked with seeing the look on his face. "Is something wrong Mr. Allota?"

"I have no idea where Robert was the night before nor in the early morning. He comes and goes as he pleases. Especially when he went off on the business cruise only flying there and back for one day and night wondering what the hell he was doing?" Allotta said to the two detectives finding it really interesting."

Ryan spoke up this time. "If you find that Robert Douglas tries to threaten you in any shape of form. I suggest that you call us and we will see what we can do to protect you and your family." Ryan hands him one of his business cards in case he wants the protection.

"I will if and when it does arises. Normally Robert has always been kind working here. However with his military record. I have alway found it to be questionable." He will reply with the Intel on the lawyer.

"Why do you say that Mr. Alotta?" Esposito will have said with the question.

"Because lately he's been distance and one time I had picked up his calls and found out that he had been some military types mostly snipers. I was thinking that maybe he was thinking of hiring a few of them for a special job. And I have been listening to the news about those three women having been found dead."

"You can add another Melanie Jones the woman that had come back with Douglas from his helicopter ride from the cruise line. She was found choked to death down by the harbor. We will need to bring him in if we find just cause. However his alibi has been shot to hell." Javier will make mention with Alotta shaking his head.

Robert Douglas was running down the steps of the courts after finishing his arguments with the judge on his case. He was hungry and decided to walked down to the deli to have a late breakfast. He needed to call his partner Allotta and find out on things were going at the office.

Allotta working in his office was told not to mention anything about the police coming by to speak with his was with his secretary.

He picked up the phone to answer it to be his partner Robert Douglas taking in a deep breath before speaking to him. "What's going on Robert?"

"I am finished up at the courthouse and decided to have a late breakfast. Is there anything I should know about before coming to the office?" He asked with opening the door to the very busy deli and finding a seat at the counter.

"Nothing is going on right now. It's quiet just the way I like it. Why don't you take the rest of the day off. I can handle the start of the other two cases since they don't go to court for at least another week."

"Are you sure?" Robert needed to asked with feeling strange about taking the day off. Even though he had a number of calls to make at his apartment complex. He needed to speak with Jake and Joey and see if they are available for another possible job.

"Yeah I am Robert. Now go home and get some rest." He responded.

Meanwhile Sergeant Esposito and Kevin Ryan had gone back to the 12th precinct to discuss the Intel given to them by Allotta.

Captain Beckett was speaking with her husband on the phone in her office with another one of those interviews for his book Cat's Eye. He was heading for a bookstore in Manhattan called Waylands books. And there was going to be a number of people attending for the interview with Castle and two other authors. They had tried to get Patterson. However he was in California on his own book tour currently.

Once she was done talking. She noticed the both of her detectives heading for her office. She was beginning to think something was going on.

They walked inside..."What's Wrong Javier with that look on your face and demeanor?" She stated with closing the door behind her.

"I am afraid to say this. Robert Douglas alibi is a bust. His partner said that Douglas lied to him for where he was supposed to be. The lawyer Allotta his partner of the firm is not a happy man at all telling us that he's been having dealings with some military types as snipers and those two names are Jake and Joey having to be brothers and the same with having to be involved in the shootings of Rebecca and the two hookers."

"Damn! This is not good at all. We will need to figure out how to get further evidence on the lawyer. I will get back to you both on who is going to help out with the evidence."

"This is going to get dangerous for the one getting involved Captain." Esposito needed to say with his concern.

"How well I know it gentlemen. Now I suggest you get out of here in order for me to do my work." She ordered with picking up the phone.
