Redburningdragon: redundant spells will not count on the Overlord spell series, and only spells Aims has been known to use or actually cast.
guest (1) : He would be unable to do anything to Regulus just yet, or maybe he could… I may have a few ideas on what to do with him.

Anyways after the death of Petelguese things are gonna change A LOT.
Also I will write a re:circuits remake fic, I am making a poll on a few ideas for it.

Chapter 12: Slothful Death part II/ Bill of Greed and Gluttony
I knew that this had not killed Petelgeuse, to think Satella had also forgotten all this as well, it seems that due to my rather longer than usual return something might have happened to her.
It was then when I remembered something important…there was a bomb on the carriage that Emilia and the kids were in!
I was thorn, I could rescue Emilia and lose Rem, or the other way around.
It was then when I got a new notification
[Store has been upgraded, Overlord's treasury is now open]
I looked hungrily through the store, the items were rather cool until I found one that had ALL the necessary things I needed for my plan.
[Crystal Hourglass, item rank: ?, a consumable item, will reduce cooldown period of skill/spell to 0 (max purchase: 1 per day)]
I jumped back on Patrasche and looked at Julius, "You got things in here?"
"Yes, do not worry about things in here, it seems something has you worried, take care of it my friend" Julius said.
As soon as we were out of sight I activated a nifty new skill I had acquired, a job specific ability.
[Shadow Exchange]
By using it, I could create a portal and switch places with any shadow monster I had out or attached to someone, so the first one I chose to go near Emilia, who no doubt was confused, as she could not understand nor even know that this was part of my plan to help her and the rest of them.
It was then when I felt it, Petelguese's body had reanimated itself using the sloth factor.
I had grabbed his gospel when he was on the floor asking why he was forsaken by Satella… and I was now avoiding his attacks, I turned around allowing Patrasche free reign as I looked at Petelguese.
"You keep going at it uh? You useless diligent asshole" I said.
His attacks were read, good girl Patrasche avoided them all.
"GIVE IT. BACK! MY LOVE... MY DILIGENCE!" he yelled out. "EVEN IF YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN I NEVER WILL… SATELLAAAA!"
Grabbing his gospel I bit my thumb hard enough to make it bleed and wrote something on the last page with my blood. Using this world's i-script I wrote the message that would put the final nail in his coffin and his heart.
After writing in it I showed to his face. And it contorted into a delightful hateful face.
"YOU. ARE. DONE!" I yelled as I snapped my fingers.
From his shadows 50 of my shadows erupted from underneath them, I send them when we were running away, the idiot was casting a large shadow, enough for many soldiers to inhabit, and then they roam up with their blades piercing him, with a last look of pure rage he send his unseen hands, but it was too late, his body truly expired, I asked my knight shadows to save the body and placed it on my inventory… I would keep my word with him.
[Sloth Witch Factor has been acquired, gestation period for skill has been lowered due to previous use of said ability [Invisible Providence] has leveled up to level 5, 3 arms can now safely be summoned, reach has been extended by 8 times]
With that I used my new "fast travel" ability, a vortex of shadows swallowed me and Patrasche as a lone shadow soldier who had the direct order to kill any witch cultists.
I was a bit away from Emilia's carriage so in order to reach them faster I used [Quicksilver] while on Patrasche.
Combined with her divine blessing, the whole thing was so fast, everything looked like it was moving so slow that they may as well be still.
We were leaving a black and orange energy trail in our wake, the speed and power we used was such that many cultists were completely destroyed by our passing by.
Turning off my skill we rode normally to her carriage, I jumped over and landed inside, I saw the plank that was somewhat badly place and I struck at it with my palm, making the thing open up, quickly I managed to pluck any stray debris from hitting anyone and took the bag with the smoldering fire magic stones.
Puck emerged from her hair "So that's what is going on"
Then from my free hand I grabbed the [Crystal Hourglass] and as I was about to use it…
"Subaru…? Why?" She asked, confused at my actions.
I keep forgetting she is rather young… at least mentally speaking, as she had been frozen for so long.
"Didn't I say so already?" I said with a smile as I cleaned a tear from her eyes.
I was so close I could feel the warmth from her body… her eyes unable to comprehend my actions, she was unable to see that I was 100% honest with my words and actions.
It did not matter...
She looked at me like she was looking at something she has never seen. It was cute and endearing, but also painful.
"Because I love you Emilia" I said as I crushed the [Crystal Hourglass].
Then the shadows began to swirl around me and then began to swallow me.
"SUBARU!" she yelled in both concern and fear for me.
She tried to reach for me, but it was too late.
I had vanished, and all she got was air.
With Rem and Crush
With both weapons out I quickly used [Sprint] and slammed into a small child like opponent as soon as I appeared from the shadow I left on Crush.
He has long, light-brown hair that goes down to his knees, the tips of which are smeared with blood and dirt. His most distinctive facial features are his repulsive emerald green eyes and teeth shaped as numerous sharp fangs forming a deranged melancholic smile that often unsettles people.
But right now, all I wanted is to pull an Elsa on him.
"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING TO MY REM YOU ASSHOLE!?" With that I straddled him and began to wail on him, brutally beating him with the handles of my daggers.
"Hahaha this is fun, you sure are an interesting one, show us more" Lye said in his deranged way.
"SU-!" Rem was about to say my name.
"Stop! Don't call out my name, if he knows my name he can eat it and make the world forget me, or eat all my memories, or worst, do both and leave me in a coma!" I shouted. "He is the archbishop of Gluttony!"
She placed her hands in her mouth when she realised what would have happened if that person and touched Lady Crush or herself!
"You are too slow!" Lye said as he used Leaper to get to Rem.
Using [Sprint] I got in front of him "says who?" I delivered a roundhouse kick, which he avoided by jumping back.
However I was hoping for that.
With a flick of the wrist I launched my dagger.
"Gehehe come let us see what you can do" he said as he used his twin cultist blades to block it.
He deflected them and with a smirk he rushed at me.
"ITADAKIMATSU!"
"NOOO!" Rem yelled.
[Dominator's Touch]
As he was close to me I made my dagger fly back and sliced his ear off.
With that, he was caught off guard, I grabbed his arm and slammed against the ground.
I was about to slam my dagger on his neck when I quickly felt something odd.
Quickly I rolled out of the way as I felt something sharp slice a bit of my cheek.
Regulus has activated his ability [Stillness of an Object's Time] and launched the air at me to get me out of Lye's hair.
"I am sorry but would you please step away? I believe you are violating my rights, you see we have to see whatever happened with the White Whale, and you being in the way… IS VIOLATING MY RIGHTS!" He yelled.
Damn it, he is getting involved too?! I am gonna die!
If I was truly alone.
Polaris and Cetus both rose from Rem's and my own shadow, along with the hundreds others, especially the magicians.
With the magicians, knights and Cetus keeping Lye bussy I prepared myself to fight with Regulus, with Regulus the problem was his Authority of Greed.
The problem would be his many wives that served as his 1-ups.
However with the new spells from the Overlord series… I could bypass his authority in a clever way.
By using around 900 MP I used [Grasp Heart] on him, in my hand there was a single heart made of many others, his wives hearts to be exact.
And then I crushed it.
It may seem underhanded, but those women preferred death than being tied to him. He was a bastard that could never see what was wrong with what he did.
Regulus felt something odd. He saw a large heart on my hand.
He felt a sense of apprehension as he saw a heart made of multiple ones. And what was worst, it was beating.
[Grasp Heart] was a spell from the Overlord series that complimented my own, the way this spell worked is that it made a copy of the enemy's own heart and projects a curse of relationship, meaning what happened to the 'fake' heart will happen to his, except that I made it so it connected to the hearts of his wives as they worked as his for his authority of greed.
And then… I squeezed, breaking it.
His eyes widened in shock.
"You… what have you done?" Regulus asked in shock.
"Oh? Whatever do you mean?" I asked.
"My authority… why… you… YOU! HOW DARE YOU DESTROY WHAT IS MINE!? THAT IS A VIOLATION OF MY RIGHTS!" he yelled.
Using his authority he froze the time around him as he whipped his arms around and launching it towards me.
It would be a terrible matchup against me, if I did not have previous knowledge of how it works.
Still, my Sense stat was getting a workout. His attacks were nearly impossible to see, I got a few nicks and cuts here and there.
Regulus was steaming, he was angry, furious even. In his mind he was possibly cursing at me, like, I was certain he would be hollering in his kind something along the lines of "how dare this insignificant peon do this and that"... I guess?
Still, even if he couldn't use his triumph card anymore, it did not make him less dangerous.
Actually, I may have increased the difficulty to "insane" in doing so, sure he couldn't use his authority's strongest form, but it made him aware that I was a credible threat.
As I was about to smash his face I jumped back several feet. The air then went upwards, he made a wall with the air and was going to use it to slice me.
Polaris rushed his flank, while I went to the front.
Seeing Polaria as a bigger threat he attacked him.
His body was sliced in 2.
Stupid mistake
As I took the time to drink some MP potions his body regenerated and sliced at him, however Regulus, while taken back by this, managed to make a defence against his attack, but was caught flat footed. Thankfully my shadow monsters regenerated permanently as long as I had the MP to spare.
I rushed in from the back and plunged one of the daggers into his back.
He yelled in pain for the first time in many years, he had a look of fury as his white outfit was dyed red with his blood.
We exchanged a flurry of attacks, as he stopped time on stuff and then released it as to launch attacks that would suit a gauss cannon, still I managed to avoid the worst of them with liberal use of [Sprint]. However I still got injured. A few slices around my face, arms and legs, also one of my ears got sliced clean off.
With Rem, Cetus was doing an excellent job as a screener and tank for her and Crush, while my knights and magicians bombarded Lye with attacks to prevent him from eating their memories, however he was a bit too fast for the regular shadows I had, but Cetus covered them with its massive defense.
It was then when Cetus wailed… the sound he made enhanced the base abilities of all allies in the area by 1.5 times.
Rem and Crush were in awe at this development, it felt like the yan series spells. However there was no visible aura around them.
Lye saw that this was not going the way he would have liked, but still he enjoyed it, this meant that there was quality unlike any other he ever had!
He HAS to feast on them.
Still he was feeling a bit sluggish, his movements were slowing down.
It was when he tried to clean what he thought was drool when he noticed it.
Blood.
His blood.
The dagger I had attacked Lye with was actually [Rasaka's Fang] and the [Bleeding] effect took hold as the paralysis did not due to his resistance.
It was then when Rem launched her morning star flail at him.
The attack managed to tear off his arm fully, as Rem was delighting herself in his misery, as he was a Witch Cultist Archbishop, it made it that much sweeter for her.
She twirled her weapon to attack him once more but he dodged that time.
Crush was also delivering her own attacks at him, but he kept dodging her by looking at where her blade was pointing.
With an arm torn and internally bleeding he knew he would not last much longer.
Once I saw Regulus panting, his outfit thorn in many places and a look of desperation, vexation and hate, it was then and there when I decided to finish it.
"Regulus, Archbishop of Greed, you will be defeated by my Charity, you will lose today due to never understanding that there may be others who are stronger than you, more clever than you, and those who can understand things in a way you closed yourself from due to your own arrogance, because you took and took but never once saw the ramification of your actions… of your GREED. This is my CHARITY to this world, to rid it of something so pitiful as you" I said as I activated [Quicksilver].
He did not even had the chance to fully process what I said.
Time seemed to stop.
At once I sliced at his chest, and then pierced his eye deeply all the way through, pulling the knife out from the other side, then I threw the dagger at Lye's chest right between his lungs, flooding then with blood.
[Acquired Witch Factor: Greed and Gluttony (1 of 3)]
[Level up x6]
With that I deactivated [Quicksilver].
Lye fell on the floor with a look of complete incomprehension, while Regulus was crying from his good eye, unable to still understand what he did wrong.
And like that, those 2 died.
I fell on my face after that, my Stamina was literally on 0, my health was in the yellow, going to the red and my MP ran out as my shadows were being destroyed many times by those 2.
Before closing my eyes I saw Rem running towards me, crying as she let her weapon drop. She held me onto her arms as she placed my head on her lap, Cetus and Polaris arrived and melted into the shadows as I had no more MP.
I smiled as I allowed darkness to take over… knowing that this time I had done it.
I prevented that future.
That once I opened my eyes… her smile will be there.
Of course there will be hell to pay as I scared Emilia with my quick travel.
I think Puck may also add to my troubles, but still, now after I wake up again I must finally do it…
I would free her, Beako, from her prison.
Hopefully Ros-chi will not get in my way.
