A special princess part 11
summer visits starting year 7 a junior midwife and so very much more.
Today dad took Elsie mom and I with him on a special visit to a near by kingdom to see his best friend from childhood Marry his 2nd wife. She like mom and I was a villager before she and her son met the king. Her son Jonathan has down syndrome and he is such a very sweet he may be my new guy friend. Prince Ernie and his family moved back to his mothers kingdom several weeks ago so we are just friends. We all had so much fun at the wedding and meeting new friends. When we arrived home mom had us sit down with her as she had sad news my great granddad passed away late last night. We all were quite shocked and cried quite a bit I called violet on crystal ball and arranged to take the week off. so that we can all attend the funeral.
We spent a week in moms home town where we saw a lot of family and some friends of moms. When we got home we spent several weeks making royal visits and I worked with Violet as much as I possibly could. We started back to school the day after I became a teenager and had a huge party. We are taking such hard classes we only take 4 per quarter at each school this quarter I am taking 2 science classes and 2 elective midwife courses at Hexly hall and at royal prep I am in 2 history an English and a math class.
We had so much going on that mom had me pick out only 2 extra and one weekend activity I am in quilting and dance classes. And will continue guitar lessons every other Saturday plus work with violet every day but Sunday. We all help out every day this year as we have so many clients. Sofia's aunt Tilly is now the 2nd full midwife in the practice as we needed another experienced midwife. We all are studying for the jr midwife test which is in exactly 5 days and if we pass we will be officially jr midwifes which is a huge deal as its only 3 ranks away from a full midwife. When I got home mom and I went through my books making notes and preparing quiz cards that either she or auntie Beth will go over with me each night. She then helped me braid my hair so it will look ok when we have pictures tomorrow.
We had pictures this morning at royal prep after which we attended classes for half a day as the fairies had to leave for a meeting. I spent the rest of the day on rounds with Violet and the others. We have 6 moms we are looking after including mine. Kelly announced 3 days ago she to is expecting again and will be due around a week after mom. We then had a study session for our test. Violet explained that on this test is worth up to 400 points any thing over 200 is passing so we need to study very hard and know our stuff. When I got home I went through the notes 3 times and had mom quiz me on vocab.
Late that night I was called to assist at a birth way out in the country we didn't get back to town till after 6 in the morning so we all missed school to rest. When I got up I spent the rest of the day studying. There are 3 sections to the test vocab science and experience paper it is a 3 hour test. We will take the exam tomorrow so we can see what it like and get used to the test center. When I got home from work mom helped me study extra extra extra hard as its not going to be an easy test.
We took our tests this morning I should know late next week how I did when I arrived home I relaxed for a bit before mom and I delivered baby bunnies to there new homes. She then dropped me off at Adair's for a sleepover with all my buddies. The next afternoon mom met me after my Guitar lesson and we went to Violet's for her checkup. When we got home mom had me help Mrs Lopart with supper so she could leave a bit early as she has a cold.
We spent the last week at the kingdom of my friend Jun and her family which was a lot of fun as we did a lot of fun activities. When we got home an owl dropped my results off and I SCORED A 375 OUT OF 400 YAY. This is an amazing score and I found out the other 3 did just as good or slightly better. We went and celebrated not only our news but also the fact that Sofia earned her jr Sorceress ranking. And Lucinda has earned a Jr medicine making ranking so we are all proud. Lucinda decided on her career as her late father was a medicine man and she loved it. We all ate at the diner before going to my house to sleepover and enjoy our long weekend.
We went back to school Monday and were all recognized for are achievements as were several other students. We celebrated at the all school picnic and games day it was so much fun although I managed to either badly sprain or slightly fracture my foot falling over someones foot during a water balloon fight. Mom is taking me to the ortho tomorrow for now I am using my crutches and taking the week off work. I am resting in my sensory room reading a new culinary mystery.
Mom and I went to the ortho and I did fracture 2 bones in my foot and am in a boot for 8 weeks I am on light duty for work and only going half days at school as I cant walk super far and mom needs my help at home. She is struggling with severe morning sickness and body pain. We will have a busy next few weeks and I wont write for a while as we are going on secret business.
We got home last night and I can tell you what we were doing we were helping my Friend Adair's family adopt an orphan young witch and her warlock brother from a village that was destroyed by Constance. There names are Simon and Samantha and they are 4 and 3 they will be an amazing part of our community. We also helped Abby's family adopt twin 2 year old's a witch and warlock named George and Grace.
