(Sorry about being a couple day late for this update! Time got away from me. As an apology gonna give ya two chapters for the price of one! Tuesday's update should still happen on the same day lol so long as I don't forget to update again!)
Hey gonna start things off today by answering some reviews. I forget this site has a different way of responding to them and I don't wanna pm people just in case. Idk I'm weird lol. Feel free to just skip to the chapter if you like.

Not sure if this is a good or bad thing tbh. Though I have been working on and posting this story to AO3 for a few months before I first decided to start posting it here too. So yeah. Also my summaries kinda suck so I feel like mine isn't perfect for the story. I've never been good at properly doing summaries and the limited characters here doesn't help lol.

Ngl your review made me super happy. Thanks so much! Also I like to think I always catch all my mistakes but it just never happens lol. I usually manage to catch the majority of them though. There's always a few I catch when I go back and read chapters to double check stuff for future chapters. Once this fic is done I'll be going through it carefully to hopefully catch any remaining errors.

Yeah their names are in that order intentionally. I felt it was a bit more accurate this way. (ie Kaminari Denki vs. Denki Kaminari)

I actually do read vigilantes! It's a real fun spin off from the main manga (that I do recommend to you all). As for the whole legality thing yeah technically what they're doing isn't illegal (funnily enough this is addressed in this chapter briefly) but the authorities aren't aware they aren't using quirks. These guys rely on support items and their own skill rather than quirks out in the field, but some of those support items could be mistaken for quirks. I would hazard a guess that not a lot of authorities in this world would be expecting a couple of vigilantes to be fighting quirkless. Thanks so much for the review though. It lets me know that I definitely need to make some thing clearer. Some of my earlier chapters are iffy in quality and I plan to at some point go back and rewrite some of the worse ones. (at the time of writing this the story is one chapter from completion). Anyway thanks again so much for your review!

Perhaps. Ships aren't a focus of this fic but who am I to deny it if it feels natural? You'll just have to wait and see if anything comes of it.
And to all of the people who left reviews saying they liked the story
Thanks so much! Even a simple review/comment like that makes me real happy! I hope you all continue to enjoy it!
Anyway enough of that for now. Not sure how often I'll do this. But once I get enough I'll likely slip another one of these before a chapter. But yeah, enjoy the actual update!
"You ready Shinsou?" Izuku said as he jogged up next to where Shinsou was waiting for him.
Shinsou nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be. If I can survive training from Bakugou I can survive this." He answered as he started walking.
"Yeah, Kacchan is a tough teacher but he means well. I wonder what all we're going to be doing with Eraserhead. Though it'll be nice to work WITH him for once." Izuku said, following Shinsou.
"Yeah and it'll be nice to do some hero work without the threat of potentially being arrested." Shinsou admitted.
Izuku shrugged. "We could probably get out of any charges if we were caught. By law vigilantism is described as using one's quirk to perform heroic deeds without a license. I don't have a quirk and you two don't use them when we patrol. Me and Kacchan made that rule for a reason back when we first started. Also made it harder for us to be tracked by our quirks." he explained.
"That's still a technicality though. I'm sure they don't expect people to go around fighting villains without a quirk that'd be suic-." Shinsou flinched as he realized what he was saying. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that."
"It's ok, I know." Izuku smiled. "For now we should just focus on this week ok? We need to be careful around Eraserhead. He knows us in our vigilante personas, so if we slip up he could recognize us."
Shinsou nodded. "Right, I'll be careful."
The two completed the rest of their walk in comfortable silence. As the gates of UA came into view the duo spotted Eraserhead waiting by the gate. They walked over and he gave them a short nod of approval. "Good, you two are on time. Follow me, I'll quickly show you where you'll be staying for the week. After that get into your gym uniforms and meet me in gym gamma." He said walking off. They followed after him silently. He led them to a small building away from the main campus building. "Teachers sometimes stay here if they don't want to go home. I've gotten everything cleared so you two can stay for this week. Now get changed, I'll meet you at the gym." With that Eraserheasd walked away, leaving the two to quickly place their things down and change. It took them around 10 minutes to change and make their way to gym gamma. "Alright let's begin." Eraser said looking over the two.
"If you don't mind me asking what are we going to be doing?" Izuku asked timidly.
"Well firstly I'd like to put you through a set of tests so I can see where you are. I saw a lot of what you could do in the sports festival, but I still want a baseline for you. I'll be putting you through the same set of tests I put my class through on the first day." He turned to Shisou. "You have free reign to use your quirk to help you if you can find a way to do so. Midoriya-" he said turning to Izuku "- don't think just because you're quirkless I'm going to give you special treatment. Show me you deserve a spot in the hero course."
Izuku's expresion grew serious as he nodded. "I wouldn't want you to treat me any differently anyway. I won't let you down."
Shouta then put them through the tests. Both did well at them, especially given that neither had any help from quirks. If they'd been scored with the rest of his class they'd have placed solidly in the middle. All throughout the tests he observed them carefully. It was only the first day and he was already becoming more and more sure that these two were the vigilantes Rabbit and Sphinx. Who did that leave Wolf to be then? He often saw these two hang out with two others. One being Hatsume Mei from the support course, which Shouta was certain was not Wolf, and the other being Bakugou Katsuki. The more Shouta thought about it the more he could see how their personalities matched up. Honestly he was surprised he hadn't made the connection earlier. He'd done some digging after the USJ and found out that one general studies student had left campus feeling sick on the same day of the attack. That general studies student just so happened to be Midoriya, and from what he could find out he'd left at nearly the same time the villains had infiltrated the USJ. It was harder to pin Shinsou as Sphinx but since the other two vigilantes had admitted they'd met the newest member of their team at UA that narrowed it down. There were only a couple students he saw Midoriya with on any sort of regular basis after all. Shouta had seen him with Todoroki a few times, but that was after the sports festival and Sphinx had joined the group before then.
For now Shouta would focus on getting the other two into the hero course where he knew they belonged. "Alright, now that I know what I'm working with I know the best way to move forward. You two seem to have some experience already, Midoriya you clearly have had more than Shinsou, but you both have potential." He let one of his "creepy" smiles spread across his face. "Let's see if we can mold that potential into something before the week is over." Izuku and Shinsou glanced at each other, nervous, but soon their expressions changed into determined ones. They seemed ready for the challenge.
Aizawa had them do simple exercises all day. He put them through all sorts of drills that were pretty similar to what they'd been doing before. He even had them practice a bit of parkour which Izuku found himself getting a bit lost in. He sheepishly glanced back at where he'd left Shinsou in the dust in the small race course that had been set up for them by Cementoss, Izuku had not fanboyed when the hero had come in and no one can say otherwise. Aizawa glanced at him, his eyes widening just a bit. "That was fast, have you had experience with this before?" Aizawa asked.
Izuku rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "A-ah well a bit yeah. I figured it'd be a useful skill to pick up since, you know." He answered, gesturing to himself.
Aizawa grunted and went back to watching Shinsou who was about 2/3s of the way through the course. Izuku wasn't entirely convinced he'd accepted the answer but wasn't going to push it. Izuku was already about 60% sure that Aizawa was suspicious of them. He couldn't help but admit that he'd gotten more reckless with information after he'd gotten into UA, Katsuki had given him quite the earful about that before. Aizawa had probably learned enough about him and Katsuki to have a very well informed guess as to who they were. Although Izuku was sure Aizawa wouldn't arrest them at this point he was still nervous. No one else knew that they were vigilantes, well except for maybe their landlord but she didn't really seem to care about what he and Katsuki did so long as they didn't wreck the apartment.
The rest of the day was uneventful as they were put through more basic exercises; with a break for lunch. "Alright we're done for the day, meet here tomorrow at the same time. Come prepared to work hard. Now get some rest." Aizawa patted the two on the shoulder as he left the gym. Izuku blinked in surprise at Aizawa's retreating back. From what he'd heard about Aizawa as a teacher from Katsuki, the shoulder pat was completely unexpected. Katsuki had said he was the type that didn't show it if he was proud of you, at least that's what he'd thought. Katsuki was generally good at reading people but maybe he'd been wrong? Or possibly he was right in assuming Aizawa knew?
Izuku shook his head to clear his thoughts. "We should head in Shinsou. We need to make sure we get enough sleep tonight."
Shinsou gave him a deadpan look. "Do I look like I ever get enough sleep? Do any of us really get enough? You know we can both survive off a couple hours of sleep and some caffeine in the morning. I just look more like it than you or Bakugou."
Izuku shrugged and started walking out of the gym. "You have me there. Doesn't mean we can't actually get a good night's rest for once."
Shinsou seemed to think about that. "Maybe." Shinsou conceded.
Once they were both back in their temporary accommodations and changed, Izuku decided to bring up his suspicions. "I think Aizawa might know that we're Rabbit and Sphinx." Izuku tried to mention casually.
Shinsou turned to him and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Isn't that a big deal?"
Izuku nodded. "Yeah, but the more I think about it the more I realize that we can't do anything about it. If he knows, he knows. I'm just worried about what he might do next." Izuku admitted.
Shinsou stayed quiet for a moment. "He wouldn't arrest us, right?"
Izuku shook his head. "No, at this point he could have arrested me and Kacchan a hundred times over if he wanted to, and no other heroes really care about us since we're small and stick to areas where heroes usually don't operate. But I have no idea what he IS going to do and that's what's worrying me."
Shinsou scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah… Well that might be one of the reasons he took us on for the internships. What are the odds that he just wants to make us do things the legal way?"
Izuku thought on that for a moment. "You might be right. Eraser doesn't really show it much, but I think in a way he does care about us. This might be his way of trying to get us going in the right direction so we stop risking ourselves at night."
Shinsou nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that sounds plausible."
Izuku sighed, getting up. "I'll let Kacchan know about this later. I don't want to interrupt his internship or his sleep."
Shinsou got up as well and sent him a questioning look. "Interrupt his sleep? He sleeps just about as much as we do. He's probably still up."
Izuku smiled. "Believe it or not when we don't do patrol he actually goes to bed around eight."
Shinsou looked at him in mild disbelief. "Really?" Izuku nodded and Shinsou smiled back. "Thank you for more teasing fuel Midoriya, not that I needed any more."
Izuku sighed and shook his head, smile still on his face. "One day Shinsou, he's gonna snap and you'll be first to go."
Several hours ago, elsewhere…
Katsuki firmly grasped the case that contained his hero costume in his hand. He paused at the entrance to the building and looked up. In the end he hadn't ended up picking Best Jeanist's agency. Though the circumstances in which he'd chosen his agency were a little odd. On the same day he'd pretty much decided to go to Best Jeanist Aizawa had informed him that he'd gotten a last minute offer. It was hard to tell but Katsuki noticed that Aizawa looked slightly surprised, so he decided to look over the offer. To his surprise he'd been given an offer by Miriko, who if Izuku was to be believed that night during dinner, didn't really take on interns since she was always moving around for her hero work. Apparently she was in town and had decided to shoot Katsuki an offer. Katsuki had gotten interested to say the least. He spent the next couple days debating back and forth with Izuku on the pros and cons of both heroes. Though in the end his, and in part Izuku's, curiosity had won and he'd accepted Miriko's offer.
Now he stood in front of a normal looking building that was apparently serving as a temporary agency headquarters for Miriko. He'd found out not long after he'd accepted her offer that she was in town working on a larger case that required her to be on hand. Pulling himself out of his thoughts Katsuki pushed open the doors and spotted the receptionist. He walked over to her and got her attention. "Hey, I'm here to see Miriko. I'm her intern Bakugou Katsuki." He kept his voice as pleasant as possible.
The receptionist looked up at him with a slight smile on her face. "Ah right. I was told you'd be coming today. Take the elevator up. It'll be the first door on your left."
Katsuki nodded at her in thanks and moved over to the elevator. It was a quick ride up and the door was easy to find. He decided to actually knock, since he was dealing with a pro here. He heard a somewhat muffled "come in" and took that as permission to enter. Hunched over a desk filled with papers was the rabbit hero: Miriko. She looked up from her work as Katsuki entered and gave him a grin. "Ah the intern arrives!" She walked over to him and clapped him on the shoulder. "Glad you decided to accept my offer! It isn't often I see a hero to be that I like enough to send an offer! Or the time to take on an intern."
"Thanks for sending me an offer." Katsuki replied somewhat subdued. He was attempting to be respectful to the hero because honestly he wasn't sure how to act around her.
Miriko laughed. "Oh there's no need to be formal! I sent you an offer because you weren't like that. You can be yourself here kid, don't worry about it."
Katsuki slumped slightly in relief. "Thank fuck…" He said quietly much to Miriko's amusement. "I'm glad I don't have to act all nice and shit. But seriously thank you for sending me an offer. I'm sure I'll get a lot more here then I would have with Best Jeanist." Katsuki said, setting down his case and putting his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah and he would have tried to tame your wild hair and stuck you in those god awful jeans him and all his sidekicks wear." Miriko mused. "I won't try and do any of that shit to you. You're here to learn and I'm here to teach ya. And maybe you can even help with this case I'm working on while you're here." Miriko winked and turned back to the desk. "For now get your hero costume on, we're going on a patrol!"
As Katsuki changed he could help but think that this whole internship thing wouldn't be so bad and he'd still get to beat up villains.
