¨Being able to truly know someone is a wonderful privilege¨ - Alaska

Susan walked into the living room and saw Edmund and Fleurine sleeping on the couch and walked over to take them

¨Come on you two, you each have a comfy bed and you´re on the couch¨ she chuckled as she shook them lightly.

¨Five more minutes?¨ Edmund mumbled

¨No, you have work to do¨ she shook them again

Fleurine woke up now and was burying her head to try and fall asleep.

¨No no, you too¨ she said as she pulled them both to sit up.

They sat up on the couch and Fleurine leaned on Edmund.

¨Thank you so much for waking us Su¨ Edmund said sarcastically

¨Your welcome¨ She said as she walked away laughing.

Edmund stood up slowly and turned to help Fleurine up. After she stood up she wrapped her arms around Edmund

¨Good Morning¨ he said as he held her.

¨Morning¨

¨I have to go get changed¨ he said

¨Why? What's going on?¨ she asked

¨We're going to talk to people with complaints or gifts¨

¨Oh¨

¨You can join me if you want¨ he said

¨While you change?¨ she asked

¨Oh- uh, I meant to take complaints¨

¨Oh, right of course. Sure I´ll join¨

They walked upstairs and stood outside their doors.

¨Um, you can just come in when you´re done¨ Edmund said ¨I should be ready by then¨

¨Ok¨ She said while smiling

They each began to wash up and put on fresh clothes. Edmund stopped when he saw a letter on his nightstand, he opened it up. It was from his brother.

Edmund,

I hate to tell you this, especially now. King Asbasban liked you quite a lot, and he has asked if his daughter, Mila, could stay with us. I believe he wishes for you to court his daughter. I´ve told him his daughter is welcome here but we can make no promise on love.

Peter

¨You've got to be kidding me¨ he mumbled to himself

He put the letter away and put on his trousers, and it´s good he did because Fleurine walked in. When she came he had no shirt on, he was only 17 and yet he was very muscular. She could see all his scars from battle and his muscles flex as he moved.

¨Fleurine, I- ¨

¨Sorry, I thought you would be done¨ she said as she took in the sight.

¨No, it's ok¨ He said as he put on his tunic. ¨You look beautiful¨

¨Thank you¨ she said, smiling

She was wearing one of the gowns Susan had given her. It was a little too long but it still looked nice as the pinkish orange complimented her skin. Edmund walked over to her and kissed her forehead.

¨Are you ready to go?¨ he asked

¨Yes¨

¨Alright, it'll be in the throne room, and you will have to be seated at a table with Mr. and Mrs. Beaver. They will take notes when we ask, and they will be pleased to meet you¨

¨Ok¨

They made it to the throne room and sat down at their seats.

¨You must be Fleurine¨ said Mrs. Beaver

¨You know me?¨ she asked

¨Oh of course, Lucy has told us about you¨ said Mr. Beaver

¨Oh how sweet¨ she replied

They sat there for hours as the Kings and Queens addressed complaints and came up with solutions. Edmund thought of with most of them, they were all well thought out and strategic, all the solutions were sure to help the people. Although all his siblings were attentive to each individual and truly cared for everyone there, Edmund was especially invested in helping them the best he could. He had felt unworthy of being King since his coronation and still felt that way, he had to prove himself. All was going smoothly, until one complaint caught everyone off guard.

¨Your Majesties, I'd like to report a crime¨ said a man

¨To us?¨ Peter said

¨Yes your Majesties¨

¨What is it?¨ Susan asked

¨After bounties were put up for Ceslitt, I decided that I could be brave enough to stop another like him¨ said the man

¨Who is it?¨ Edmund asked, as he signaled to the beavers to write this

¨Her name is Dedromeda, she´s been hurting young boys for years. She teaches at the school in my town¨

¨What town?¨ Lucy asked

¨JadeCrest¨ said the man

¨And your name?¨ Susan asked

¨Gohn¨ he said (AN: it´s john but eccentric)

¨Are you a victim yourself?¨ Edmund asked

¨No your majesty, but my boy is¨ he said

¨How old is he?¨ Said Peter

¨He just turned 6 your Majesty¨ Gohn said while clutching his hat.

This news saddened everyone, it was bad enough someone they knew had gone through this but now so were young and innocent children. After a description of the women was given they had to take the next complaint. After everyone had been heard the siblings each took a portion of complaints from the beavers. Peter was given Gohn's as to relieve Edmund of more stress.

Edmund and Fleurine slowly walked together to his office, Fleurine could tell how upset and stressed he was.

"Edmund, do you want to talk about it?"

"Talk about what?"

"Whatever you're stressed and upset about." she said

"No, I don't"

"Are you sure? It will help"

he sighed "I do want to talk about it, just not yet."

"I understand" she said as she took his hand.

"and what about you?" he asked

"What do you mean?"

"Do you want to talk about what happened to you?"

"No, not at all" she said

Everything that had been going on was horrible and only made them both sad. Her eyes started to well up as she thought about what happened to her, and Gohn's son. Edmund turned his head and saw a tear stream down her face, he stopped walking and squeezed her hand so she would stop too.

"Fleurine, come here" Edmund said

He brought her closer to him and held her. She just stood there weakly, and cryed.

"Would you like to sit down?" he asked

"Yes"

They walked to his office and she sat down in his chair.
