Morning arose and everyone looked at the monitor where Red Tornado and Black Canary had Evelyn's picture up. "We now know that our former tech genius has switched sides. Evelyn Blackwell has taken on the mantle of Hunter and is showing her skill in physical combat. That being said, she is no longer just a Young Justice problem. She is the concern of the entire League. She knows too much about our inner workings and we have not heard from Miss Martian or Superboy which leads me to believe Evelyn kidnapped them."

"Over the course of the evening, we were able to get intel. We watched a few goons go around and talk about Dylas. It seems he's formed a secret society much like the Reach. Assassin's Creed is a band of the most brutal assassins. Already at the top of the chain is Evelyn Blackwell and her two sidekicks. Shay and Zach have no former history but it's clear they have been connected to Evelyn for a while."

"They mentioned something about Evelyn losing a brother," La'gann responded coldly. "Was that just a lie? Or were they actually telling the truth?"

"We looked into it and there are Arabian birth cards that match Evelyn and one other person's. Evelyn and Talon Blackwell were twins and born on May 12, 2008. Talon's death was recorded on May 12, 2013. When they were 5 years old Evelyn watched her brother die. We're attempting to contact Talia Al Ghul to see if we can't get anymore information. Though as of late the Al Ghul's have been off radar."

"Maybe they're the reason Evelyn's acting out. Trying to impress her former mentors," Beast Boy suggested.

"Possible. Evelyn certainly did seem to know the Al Ghul family when Batman introduced her to them while she was here. Evelyn could be merely following their lead and being a follower. While it concerns me, we should prioritize our tasks. Recapturing Evelyn Blackwell is now a top concern. Find her and we find our missing heroes. Or if we don't, she'll know where they are," Nightwing answered.

"I do find her betrayal to the League to be alarming. Why would someone so bright give her full commitment to such an evil cause?" Orin never understood it even in the small amount of time that he had known Evelyn.

"Evelyn has her reasons. She could have also mentally snapped. Seeing a pool filled with Zacharias's blood and his body face down could have been too much," Nightwing answered.

"She was mentally prepared," Doc answered making everyone gasp and turn around. "Evelyn's always been a shrewd one when she wants to be. So for us to all assume the worst? It's betraying the girl we all know."

"Are you truly her uncle?"

"I am. Drew though," he began cautiously before Batman looked at him. "She's a robotic replacement of Evelyn's real aunt and she knows it. She never says anything though. Which is why I'm suggesting that maybe we don't know everything. Maybe Evelyn's only appearing to switch sides," Doc explained.

"If that's the case she's using her blood as a way to get close," Nightwing answered before Batman cleared his throat. "Dylas Blackwell has been revealed to be Evelyn Blackwell's father. Her mother is Emily Blackwell. A trained assassin."

"We haven't seen hide nor hair of Emily in weeks," Batman added. "Evelyn could have been ordered to dispose of her as proof of loyalty. If that truly is the case we have a massive bloodshed done by our tech savvy friend."

Before much else could be said there was a ping on the computer making everyone open it rather quickly in case it was their missing heroes.

Want Superboy back? Meet Hunter. She has what you want. But she has a price. Immunity.

"Evelyn's taunting us," Beast Boy groaned looking at Batman. "I say we give her an ambush pummeling."

"Hold up. Evelyn would have signed it with TTTTB," Nightwing answered looking at it as he managed to freeze the screen. "If Evelyn was calling us out, she'd use something that she knows make us come running. Why didn't she?"

"I'm concerned with the last statement. Immunity. What else besides being a thief has she done?" Black Canary knew that asking for immunity wasn't small.

"Maybe the tasks required to make it into the Assassins Creed," Batman answered. "Though as Nightwing has mentioned, why didn't Evelyn reach us directly?"

"She might be toying with the Justice League. Seeing if we respond to her taunts in any other manner," Superman answered as he looked at it. "We'll go. Nightwing, leave your team here. I don't want any unnecessary bodies. Myself, you, Batman, Black Canary, Green Arrow and J'onn. We all were the ones who helped her through her first weeks with the League. We should be the ones to convince her to return."

"If we do." Nightwing never denied one thing to Evelyn Blackwell. She was good at what she did. She could hack through any system. She could make villains turn against each other. But now it was clear those were only the surface layers of her talent.

When they met at the alley where Evelyn had first fought them, they looked around. "It's quiet," Green Arrow noted.

"Probably Evelyn's way of scoping the grounds. Seeing if we came," Batman answered before he glanced up. "How's the view?"

"Pretty shit," the voice responded making Batman turn around and glance up to look at Evelyn. "I didn't send the memo FYI. I don't use the third person in reference to myself. Just a tip."

"Then Zach or Shayera," Batman answered making her nod. "Alright. Well we're here. What's it going to take to get Superboy back?"

"I have a deal," she began.

"We don't deal with fugitives," Green Arrow warned pointing an arrow at her. "Give us Superboy or I shoot."

"Shut it Queen. Let me finish." Evelyn pulled out a memory stick and Nightwing looked at it before realizing what it was.

"That's the memory stick from the Wayne Tech infiltration." Batman glanced to Evelyn concerned now. What did she steal? "Didn't you already hand it over to your father?"

"I gave him a decoy. He was onto it though. I lied and said that in the fight with Tigress, I must have had the sticks swapped because I went soft for an old friend. Now he wants me to get the real deal. If I give back Superboy, I release the data on this stick to Dylas."

"No deal," Superman responded. "Where is he?"

"Right now? Probably 40 feet from Kryptonite. Not enough to poison or kill, but enough to hurt," she answered.

"Why would you?" Black Canary couldn't believe it. "We know about Talon," she called out as Evelyn went to leave and that made her freeze. "You were close to Talon, weren't you? It's why you panicked when Zach took on Dylas alone."

"Anyone who dares to take on Dylas is a fool. He has more than you could even imagine. The weapons he has access to, you wouldn't believe it. I'm warning you that you should let me escape. There's an explosive planted nearby and I'm told the yield is quite impressive. I have the switch and if I'm followed, the switch reaches 20 miles," she warned.

"You have a deal," Nightwing responded quickly and she turned to Nightwing. "We'll let you release the data on the stick. Just give us back Superboy," he answered.

"Nightwing," Batman cautioned before he watched Evelyn jump down to their level. "You were one of our best. Why'd you switch?"

"Taking on Dylas? You're bound to lose. I switched sides before my sanity was on the line," she answered as she motioned for them to follow. "I kept him close," she promised as she walked into an abandoned building and up some stairs.

"Evelyn," Shay warned.

"We have a deal. The data on the drive being released, for Superboy. Cut him loose," she ordered. Shayera nodded and as she did so, Superboy walked over to Clark before Nightwing rushed Evelyn and went to punch her before missing.

"Nice try. But we have our deal so," she answered escaping through a window.

"Let's follow," Superboy answered.

"We can't. She has a dead man's switch to a bomb and we don't know where it is," Nightwing answered. As everyone watched her ship take off, Nightwing growled. "We got one back. Now we know that you were right Batman. Evelyn Blackwell had both Superboy and M'gann. We need to recover Miss Martian."

"Problem being we don't have any tracking software on Evelyn," Black Canary answered looking at him. She glanced at a photo she had taken of her, Evelyn and Green Arrow. "How did our youngest tech savvy hero go so bad?"

"Guys," Miss Martian called and everyone glanced around to see her there. "Thank goodness you're alright."

"No thank goodness you are," Nightwing exclaimed hugging her. "Where were you? Did Evelyn see you? What happened?"

"Evelyn actually was the one who walked over to me and let me go," she answered. Everyone stared at her in shock. "Yeah she put her ship on autopilot and then cut me free and told me to run."

"What is she up to?"

"Did she hurt you? Did Zach or Shayera do anything to you?"

She shook her head and even Superboy shook his head. "Despite being her captives, we weren't treated horribly. She treated us like the friends we were to her. Never lacked food, water, or a decent place to sleep."

"But she left you in the building with Shayera," Nightwing answered thoughtfully before he knew in his own mind that there was something he needed to do. "You two come with me, Batman and Superman tonight."

"Where?"

"An informant that knows Evelyn has agreed to meet with us," Superman explained. "We hope it's enough information to find her."

"It should be. Not many people know her," Batman answered.

Over the rest of the evening, everyone was preparing for the meeting that Batman had arranged. When they walked into a warehouse, they watched as a hooded figure came out. "You don't make it easy," she chuckled.

"Your acting is coming along nicely. Thanks for returning Miss Martian," Nightwing answered pulling down the hood to reveal Evelyn. "Did you release the data?"

"Yeah. So are we the only ones that know?"

"Yes. All of us are the only ones that know the truth. That since Zacharias's death you've been in deep cover with Dylas. I also know about the Al Ghuls and them helping. Talia finally hinted at it," Batman answered.

"Good. Our time to reveal the trick is coming. We have a giant thing planned and I think it'd be the best time to crash Dylas's party."

"Agreed. Now where's your mother? Where's Emily?"

"She's been dead since 2019. I killed the robot on my first day," she explained. "Look. I miss the team. I miss everything, but the mission is riding on this. Tomorrow I'm raiding the base. I advise you prepare for it."

"How?"

"Just know that what is there, may be remnants by the end." Nightwing knew what it meant and nodded at her.

"You be careful. We may act hateful in front of people, but we care," Superman answered. She nodded and handed them a device. "What's this?"

"It won't be any good to you until after the raid. Wait until 4 hours after the raid and then turn it on."

"Understood," Batman answered as he watched Evelyn take off. "Soon we will reveal to the League your true nature."
