Chapter 10 Robots, Music, and Acid, Welcome to U.A
Alex's P.O.V
So I'm here. Finally. It took over two years to have an opportunity. This is it. I will make it in. I will be a hero. I look to Izumi who is sweating and mumbling. Even after training hard for the last couple of years and getting a powerful quirk, she is still Izumi.
I smile and poke her head. This snaps her out of her mumbling. She looks at me and her face becomes a little red on the face. I assume shes embarrassed and I look forward.
As we look forward we both hear a very familiar voice behind us "I wondered when you two idiots would show." We turn to see none other than Katsuki Bakugou walking behind us towards the entrance. He walks past us and continues to do so until he gets a little ahead of us and turns around. "Deku, Fireboy, one of you better get in. I need someone to beat easily." he said with a cocky grin.
I grin back. I remember how he got that nickname for me. I had Izumi and Katsuki both dodge fireballs as a part of their training when we first started. Thankfully he wasnt the only one with a nickname.
"Don't think you're the best yet, Explosion Mouth. Once we get in, I'll show you who's better." I reply. Izumi replies as well "I won't let you be the best Kacchan, I will beat you." she had said.
Katsumi smirked and walked off without us. I smile. He may be cocky and arrogant most of the time, but with at least Izumi and I, he does it out of fun...sometimes. Izumi and I begin to walk when in front of us we see a girl trip on an uneven part of the pathway. Using my quirk on my legs, I rush over and grab her waist with my arm before she hits the ground.
"Wow there, you alright. You almost fell there" I say finishing with a chuckle. As I help the girl to her feet I take a look at her. She has short brown hair and brown eyes. She also had these round pink circles on her cheeks. Her skin seemed a bit pale, but it seemed to be genetic.
She looks up at me "Th...thanks. I should have been careful. If you weren't there, then it would have been a mini disaster" she replied while sheepishly rubbing her head. She seemed adorable. I look back at Izumi who just looks blankly at the girl.
I shrug. She's probably thinking about what the girls quirk could be. I turn back and smile "I'm Alex Washinhton, this is my friend Izumi Midoriya. Nice to meet you." I tell her while holding out my hand. She shakes it eagerly "Ochaco Uraraka, it's nice to meet you both." she replies.
Before we could discuss any further, the three of us notice that we'll be late if we dont speed up. After saying our goodbyes we head inside the building. Inside the building it appears to look like a play of some kind with many seats however the seats are high up like a stadium and the stage is the only thing on lower ground.
As we are guided to our seats to sit down, Izumi and I realise that that Katsumi is in front of us. Izumi whispers in my ear "Must be separated by schools." I let out an understanding oh. I was confused by that.
After everyone had sat down, suddenly a large T.V had appear on top of the stage. This T.V was probably almost as big as Roshi's house. Suddenly the stage lit up and a blonde guy walked up to the mic in the middle.
"HELLO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO THE U.A ENTRANCE EXAM! CAN YOU MAKE SOME NOISE?!?!" The blonde had yelled out into the mic. Which kinda defeats the purpose when you think about it.
His request was met with utter silence. Which got a small laugh out of me. He continues "SHEESH TOUGH CROWD! LETS TRY AGAIN, COME ON MAKES SOME NOISE!" again total silence, although I did hear Izumi start to mutter a bit next to me.
The man sighs sadly and just continues "AS I'LL EXPAIN THE RULES FOR THE EXAM, THE TELEPROMPTER UP THERE WILL HELP CLARIFY WHAT I SAY ABOUT THE EXAM!" oh so that's what its called.
As he explains the exam, I hear the name Present Mic come out of Izumi's muttering. At least I know the guys name now. Present Mic started to explain the practical exam.
"YOU'LL ALL HAVE 10 MINUTES TO SCORE AS MANY POINTS IN A MACH BATTLE IN A REPLICA OF A CITY! ALL OF YOU WILL BE SEPERATED INTO DIFFERENT BATTLE CENTERS. IN EACH BATTLE CENTER, THERE WILL BE THREE TYPES OF ROBOTS THAT WILL ACT AS VILLIANS. WHEN YOU INCAPACITATE ONE, YOULL GET A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF POINTS." Present Mic states as the teleprompter shows three different types of robots.
He continues "YOU READ YOUR PAMPHLETS, YOU'LL SEE WHAT ROBOTS ARE WORTH HOWEVER MANY POINTS." As he was about to continue, someone beats him to the punch.
"Excuse me Sir, I have question!" I hear a voice about a few seats away from us. Present Mic replies "HIT ME." A spot light is shined on the owner of the voice.
I look over to see a tall, maybe even taller than me. He has very dark blue hair and has Glasses on. He stands up to answer the question, standing as straight as humanly possible. Maybe even more than that.
"The print out shows four villains instead of three. With all respect, if this is an error on U.A offical material, it is shameful. We are exemplary students. We should expect the beat out of Japan's most notable school, a mistake like this won't do." He said. He basically called out the teacher. Jeez the guy needs to learn how to relax.
He then turns and points in our direction "Additionally, you, with the unkempt hair." I follow his finger to find out hes pointing at Izumi who let out a small yelp when she realized he was talking to her. "You been muttering this entire time. Stop that. If you cant be bothered to take this seriously then leave. You're distracting us."
Izumi looks down in embarrassment and mumbles "S...Sorry." I barely hear Bakugou let out a small growl. That guy was a little rude. He didnt need to do that to Izumi.
Before I could defend her, Present Mic begans to speak "OK OK EVERYONE RELAX. AS FOR YOUR QUESTION EXAMINE 7111, THE FOURTH VILLAIN IS WORTH 0 POINTS. ITS AN OBSTACLE WE'LL BE THROWING YOUR WAY. WE EXPECT YOU GUYS TO AVOID IT, NOT THAT IT CAN'T BE BEATEN, THERES JUST NO POINT."
The blue hair boy replied "Thank you very much. Please continue." he finished as he sat down.
"ACTUALLY THAT ALL I HAVE TO SAY. AS I'VE SAID BEFORE MANY OF YOU WILL BE SEPRATED INTO SEPARATE BATTLE CENTERS! ON YOUR PERSONAL PAMPHLET YOU'LL HAVE YOUR DESIGNATED BATTLE CENTERS TO GO TO. GOOD LUCK!" did he really have to shout?
I look inside my book and see that I have Battle center C. I look at Izumi who had B while Katsuki had A. I frowned at this. I was really hoping to see how these guys did. "They seemed to have separated us so we couldn't help each other." Katsuki had said. It was the most plausible option as to why we weren't together.
I put my fist in between the three of us. "You better make it in. Or else the next time we train, I will make it worse." I told them. Izumi put her fist in and gave me a determine nod. Katsuki did the same thing with a cocky grin. After we part our fist away we part ways to change into our clothes.
For the practical exams, I decided to wear the gi Izumi had gotten me for our first christmas. It was a little tight since I hadn't used it for a long time, but looking in the mirror I look decent enough. The only thing I wished I had were my weighted clothing. I'll just have to be careful holding back.
Some students alongside me were driven to our battle center. As we arrived there I looked around to take a good look at some of the students I see and I feel feel their energy levels.
Two girls catch my eye. One of them was short with purple hair, and she had what appears to be earphone jacks for earlobes. She also had dark purple eyes, they seemed very beautiful. The other girl was entirely pink. She reminded me of a bubble gum creature I once saw in my dreams. Except instead of an evil grin, she had this nervous smile.
Wanting to help her out, I approach her. "You nervous?" I ask from behind her. She turns and rubs her hair sheepishly "Its that obvious isn't it?" she ask.
I smile "Not to many people, I could just tell, since I'm also nervous." I admit to her. I wasnt lying. I did feel nervous. My friends are working hard so that means I can not fail. I chuckle out loud. I look at the girl and notice how her sclera is black and her iris is yellow.
She looks like an alien. I mentally slap myself after that thought. I really have no room to talk when it comes to that. I decided to reassure her "Don't be nervous, all we have to do is destroy robots. That shouldnt be too bad" I tell her with a smile. Nailed it.
The girl looks at me with surprise "You seem calm though, how can you be nervous?" she asked me. I smile and reply "Its simple I promised my friends I would. So I can't fail." She looks at me in awe, before that look changes to a look of determination.
"You're right, thanks for helping me." she responds with a smile. I give her a friendly grin with a thumbs up. Suddenly the gate in front of us. I get too excited and I just run in using my quirk as soon as the door fully opens.
As I'm running in I hear Present Mic "THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL LIFE. GO GO GO." That means the practical has actually started. I see 5 robots in front of me. From what I remember from the pamphlet, I figure out these robots are mostly 2 pointers with two 3 pointers. Using my quirk I jump over them.
As I'm going over them I point my hands downward and I unleash mutiple fire balls down on them, destroying all but one robot. I land and as I turn, I put all my energy into my left fist for a fire punch and I knock its head clean off.
Ok 12 points. I can't slow down now. I look as I see the others start to make their way into the city. I smile to myself. I crack my knuckles and neck. Let's do this.
Third P.O.V
The U.A staff continue to watch the monitors to keep an eye on the Exams. Among the U.A staff are famous heroes such as Midnight: The Rated R hero, Eraserhead: The erasure hero, and of course, All Might: The symbol of peace.
Nezu smiles. He knows that the robots are scattered in such a vast area, so finding the robots will be tricky. He also knows how many students would find said robots and pass the practical. Whether it was because of strategies, speed, being calm under pressure or pure power, these were the common factors he had seen over the years.
As the staff watch the monitors there were three monitors being focused on specifically.
The first monitor showing Katsuki Bakugou destroying mutiple robots with ease with a cocky grin. The teacher watching that is Midnight wondering why this child was so aggressive.
The second one was of Izumi Midorya punching mutiple robots as she destroys one after another. This one was being watched by both Aizawa and All Might with the former seeing what the child can do and the latter wondering what his successor would do next.
The third and final one was of Alex Washington as it showed him drop kicking a robot while burning three others to ash. This one was being watched by none other then Nezu.
He had been keeping an eye on Alex during his training with Izumi and All Might, seeing the progress he has made since they first met. Nezu's smile grows wider as he watch Alex save multiple students from things like rubber bullets by burning them to ash midair or students that are outnumber or overpowered. Whether Alex knew it or not, he was getting points for helping them.
Midnight speaks "We have some promising candidates this year. Especially those three." She points to the Bakugou, Midoriya, and Washington. Nezu grins. She wasnt wrong. A man in a cowboy hat speaks up "They may be doing fine now, but it's still early in the test." he pushes a large red button. "Let's see them handle this."
Mina was having a better time than she thought she would. Thanks to the kindness of that guy from earlier, she felt more confident in this test. During which there was a sudden rubble. She heard some screams and she followed. She looks to her right to see a bunch of students were running the other way.
She wondered what could be causing them to run like that. She didn't wonder for too long as the answer appeared a few seconds later. A large robot had appeared and started destroying buildings forcing most of the students to fall back. Unfortunately there was one girl trapped and only Mina saw her.
A girl with purple hair and earphone jacks for earlobes had gotten trapped under debris and couldn't move them. Mina almost immediately ran to help move the debris. She started to push, when that didn't work she tried pulling. However, no matter what she did, she wasnt strong enough to move it.
She had an idea. She focused on her quirk and slowly the debris had started to melt. Once the debris wasnt in the way, she helped the girl up. "Thanks." The purple hair girl said. The girl tried to walk, but almost fell if Mina had not caught her. "Come on, you're hurt, let me help you." Mina had told her.
The purple girl had no choice but to take up her offer and flung her arm over Mina's shoulder. As the two walked to safety, the giant robot had caused debris to fly towards the two. As it came closer and closer, Mina had rotated her body so when the debris hit, it would hurt her instead of the girl.
Mina prepared for the hit and the pain to come. She shut her eyes tightly. Only for nothing to come. She opened her eyes to see a familiar figure in front of her. There were only two differences she saw from him when they last saw each other. His right arm appeared to be made of blue flames, and the look he had was not one of calm and comfort. It was one filled with determination.
She looked in front of him to see that the debris that was going to hit her had shattered to pieces. The purple haired girl had looked surprised.
Unlike Mina, she had her eyes open the entire time. The boy had come out of nowhere and landed in front of him. He then pulled his arm back and his arm had turned from a normal brown to blue flames. In one punch shattered the piece of concrete like it was nothing.
The boy turned to the duo and smiled "Nice to see you again. Hello nice to meet you." He said to Mina and the purple hair girl, introducing himself to the latter of the two. It was none other than Alex Washington. He looked back to the robot and his smile faded. He reaches into his gi and pulls out a brown bag and tosses it to Mina. "Hold this, cause your friend and I might need it." He said.
He looks at the robot and processes what to do. "The robot needs to be stopped. If I hadn't arrived sooner those two girls could have been hurt. This robot will be tough considering I promised myself to not use Ki at all for this exam. Even with my quirk I'll have trouble." Alex thought to himself. He then grinned and muttered under his breath "But that'll make this even more fun."
Suddenly, as fast as someone can blink, he was gone and had jumped up to and aimed a punch to the robot's chest. His arm flared up in responds to his move. His fist collided with the metal chest, making a large thunk noise. Using this to his advantage Alex uses the robot's chest as a spring and put his feet on it and used it to launch himself back.
As Alex falls to the ground, he looks to where he fist had collided on his chest, only to see a dent. Suddenly as Alex lands, he back to running only this time he aims for the leg wish a powerful kick as the flame goes from his right arm to his left leg. The kick causes a larger thunk. As the boy backs up he notices that he did more damage as the metal looked torn apart.
As Alex is assaulted the robot, Mina and the purple haired girl stare in awe. This boy was the only one in their battle center going toe to toe with that robot. That last blow made their eyes open even wider. He was able to damage it.
As Alex lands he cringes in discomfort. He moves his left leg and right arm. They are starting to burn a lot. Alex curses under his breath. He needs to finish this now. Alex's then cloaks his entire body with flames. Both his arms and legs become cloaked in more intense flames.
Focusing all his flames into his right palm, a small ball of blue fire appeared. Which grew larger and larger until it was almost as big as Alex's body. He then chucks it at his chest. When the ball of fire connects, it goes through the robots chest. Everyone watching this fight go down gasps, while Alex grins.
Alex's then jumps ups high, making to heights that the robot couldn't reach. He front flips once and pulls is right leg out, putting all of his quirks strength into it as he aims his drop kick to the robots head. As his legs connects with the head, like knife through butter, his leg cuts through from its head to the hole in its chest which he then falls to the ground landing on his butt.
As the robot falls forward, its head splits opens wider as the two split parts of the head create an opening for Alex to be safe when it eventually landed. (AN: If you're looking for a better understanding, it's similar on how the dragon landed in God of War after Kratos killed it.")
Alex slowly gets up as he inspects his body. His right arm is definitely burned, along with his left leg. His right leg had the worse damage. His leg was burnt, like brownish black burnt. It was almost currently steaming from hear. As Alex tried to walk, he heard Present Mic "AND THATS A WRAP. TIMES UP!" announce.
The loud voice had Alex fall to the ground. Suddenly two pairs of feet appear in his view. He looked up to see Mina and the purple haired girl. Alex smiles. Hes was glad they were still ok. Mina spoke "That was amazing, you just went in there and started to fight that robot, even though it was short it was amazing, you're very strong."
Alex grins "Thanks, hey by the way, can I see that bag I gave you?" Alex replied. Mina realizing she still had the bag tossed it back at Alex. When Alex caught it he opened it up and pulled out two senzu beans. He ate one and held the other out to the purple haired girl. "Here eat this, it'll heal your limp." Alex said as he swallowed the bean.
Not even a second later, Alex's wounds healed themselves up. The two girls stare in awe as they saw the boy who had burned legs and arm suddenly heal. The purple hair girl looks at the bean, takes it and chews it up. A second later she suddenly feels better. As Mina let's go, the girl begans to walk around normally.
Alex gets up and walks the two. "I don't believe we've met officially, I'm Alex Washington." he introduces himself. Mina turns and smiles "My name is Mina Ashido, thanks for helping us there and for cheering me up earlier." Alex smiles "No problem, I just wanted to help" he replies.
Alex then feels a finger poke his shoulder, he turns to see the purple haired girl looking up at him. "My name is Kyoko Jiro, thank you for helping us." she said. Alex grins and gives her a thumbs up "No thanks necessary." he replies
As the three examines talk, all the other examines were looking at the three in awe. More specifically Alex Washington. They all saw what he had done, which was take down that robot. The power that he displayed was incredible. They could not believe that all of that was a fire quirk.
As the three continue to talk, Mina brings up giving each other phone numbers. Alex shrugs "Sure that sounds nice." Jiro silently agrees. As the three exchange numbers, Alex gets a text from Bakugou. When he sees the message, he starts to get ready to leave. "Sorry to leave girls, but my friend sent me a text, its urgent. Let's talk after." He says.
After the two girls nod and agree. Alex starts sprinting out of the battle center. As Alex runs to the exit, Bakugou's message replays in his mind

Fireboy, get to the nurses office, Deku broke her arm and legs.
Alex ran in to see Izumi on a bed in the nurses office. Alex felt his blood turn cold. His best friend was in bed, hurt. He couldn't even save her. Alex slap himself. There was no time to blame himself, Izumi needs him.
As Alex waited for Izumi to wake, Katsuki made it into the room. Alex started to process his thoughts. Alex and Izumi hadn't told Bakugo about One for All. They did tell him that Izumi had developed a quirk and was a late bloomer. Thankfully Bakugou fell for it. He still believed that he was going to be number one so he didnt know the strength of her quirk. It didnt matter to him.
After an hour Bakugou's phone started to ring. When he picked it up and answered, Alex could hear yelling from the other line. He automatically knew it was Bakugou's mom. Mitsuki Bakugou. Alex laughed to himself. If Katsuki got his personality from anyone it was definitely his mom.
Katsuki hung his phone up after 5 minutes of "talking", aka growling and cursing each other out, with his mom, he told Alex that his mom wanted him home. Alex nods in understanding and Katsuki heads home.
30 minutes later Recovery girl walked into the room. "Ah, I see you're here." she said. She look at Alex's right leg "I see your right leg looks better, how does it feel?" she asked. Alex replies "Its good, thanks to a senzu bean, my wounds are better."
Alex had told Recovery Girl about senzu beans and she even had some given to her. Although Alex had begged her to only use them in extreme situations as making them would be a long process. Of the 23 he had been given, only 5 remain. However since Alex had started to regrow them, his bag currently had 9 now.
Recovery Girl sighs "You should really let me use my quirk, as useful as these beans are, you have to save them." she said while giving a poke to Alex with her cane. Alex smiles "Ok ok I wont use them often, besides I don't think I need considering you healed Izumi pretty well." he replied while chuckling.
Alex like to play his own rules from time to time. He didn't know if it was his human or saiyan side that caused this, but either way he wouldn't always follow rules. Alex looks at Izumi sleeping form. "What happened to her?" he had asked out loud.
"Well just like you, she went back to save a girl who had gotten her ankle caught in debris. Even after having better control of One for All, she is still breaking herself." Recovery Girl said after giving a sigh. Alex gains a small smile. "Of course she would do something like that." he thought
After waiting another 20 minutes Izumi started to stir. Alex looks up from his phone to see her stand up. Alex smiles and chuckles to himself remembering that her mom had gotten her a tracksuit to wear for the practical exam.
Alex looks at her right arm to see that entire arm of the tracksuit had been destroyed. Alex sits next to her "Wow even after learning how to use your quirk without hurting yourself, you still manage to do it." Alex chuckles out. Izumi turns to Alex and yawns "Where am I?"
"You're in the nurses office, specifically my office." Recovery girl chimes in. Izumi looks confused until a look of realization hits her face as her face turns red with embarrassment. Alex turns to her "Recovery Girl told me what happened. It's ok, you did what you felt was right. Besides we're done with the exams now. Let's head back, your mom is probably worried."
Izumi nods shyly and head back. After Alex and Izumi change their clothes they start to walk to the train station. Theres a silence between the two. Alex is the first to break it "So how do you think you did?" Izumi turns and responds "W..Well for the the written portion, I believe I did well on, for the practical...well I...I dont think I w...was that great."
Alex remembers the written part of the exam. They had to take it at their middle school early in the morning before heading to U.A (AN: Ok not going to lie, I do not remember how they did the written exam in the show. So I just did was seemed like the most plausible thing and made it like that...Ok look, dont judge me, I'm writing a fanfiction about a 1/4 Saiyan in a superhero society. Lol, so how are you guys?)
Alex replied "You'll make it in. Trust me. I have faith." Izumi let's out a small smile. "Besides if anything theres one thing to worry about, if we beat Bakugou in points" Alex said while grinning widely. Izumi shudders at the thought.
If it was Alex that surpassed Bakugou, then it wouldn't be so bad, after all Alex had always had a lead in strength while Bakugou had the lead in intellect. Those two were practically rivals. However if Izumi did better than Katsuki, then Katsuki would be aiming towards her in order to become the best. Also his ego would not allow it.
Alex puts on her shoulder for comfort, seeing her shudder and realizing why. "Hey you deserve to be a hero, remember I got your back." Alex said to her. Izumi smiled and gave him a one armed hug.
Even though Alex and Bakugou had become friends, Alex was wary whenever the three of them hung out. He trusted Bakugou, there was no doubt about that, but with his anger, ego, and his previous torment of Izumi made him protective, not on purpose, just by instinct.
One thing was sure whether Bakugou was a dick or not at times there was one thing for sure. He is willing to protect his friends, no matter what.
A week later and both Alex and Izumi had not received their letters yet. In that time Alex had began creating a friendship with the girls from the practical exam. He also quickly discovered how the two acted.
Mina was similar to Toru in many ways, she was bubbly, cheerful, and kind. However there was one big difference between the two. Mina was very flirty. Alex wasnt a shy guy by any means, but it was possible to get him flustered. And Mina knew exactly how to do it like flipping a switch.
Although she won't admit it out loud, she did find Alex attractive. He seemed very handsome, as if other worldly handsome. Not to mention the look of determination when he had protected them during the entrance exam did make her chest feel weird.
Jiro was the opposite from Mina. She was quiet, a little reserved but not shy. She had a sorta chill attitude to her. She was also a music person. She had a preference to both quirks of today and pre-quirk era music. Alex never listen to music. He heard some rythem and tunes he has heard at stores, but most of the time he preferred the quiet.
So it was surprising for him when Jiro played a song on her speaker and he turned out to have liked it a lot. In fact, this had caused Alex to ask Jiro for help setting us his phone so he could choose music to play from. Surprisingly after listening to some songs, Kyoko and Alex had similar taste in music.
Jiro wouldn't admit it to anyone, but she did like it when Alex was around. She was always insecure about her looks and her body, but Alex felt like this cloak of comfort when he was around her. She also had a weird chest feeling that felt foriegn bit also nice.
On the day that the U.A letters arrived the three were excited. Izumi wanted to be alone when she got the letter. Alex had texted his friends. He texted Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure how he got his letter, and he would tell them the results after he read it. After receiving three different good lucks from the girls, he opened the envelope.
As he peered inside he saw that it wasn't a letter, it was a disk of some kind. Alex examined it and put it on his disk. It suddenly lights up and shows a holographic video. One the video it showed Nezu and All Might in his buff form while wearing a suit.
"Hello Alex Washington. It's a pleasure to be sending you this. Before we talk about the exam, let's talk about why All Might is next to me." Nezu in the video had started
Alex looked confused. All Might began to speak
"Young Washington, you may be wondering why I'm in this video for your results. Well for two reasons, the second reason shall be revealed soon, but the first reasons is a secret that you deserve to know." He finished.
Alex waited carefully and worriedly wondering what it could be. "The secret is that I will be becoming a teacher at U.A." All Might continued, shocking Alex. He couldn't believe it, All Might, the number one hero in Japan will be teaching at U.A high.
Before Alex could process this any further, Nezus voice is heard "I bet you're sitting there in shock right now. Well its true. The only ones that know are the staff at U.A and Izumi. I would like it if this were kept a secret until it is truly announced."
Alex knew he couldn't tell anyone for many reasons, most them being they never told his secrets to anyone unless they asked. So he would keep his mouth shut.
"Anyway let's talk about the results of the entrance exam. For the written portion you did well, pretty great in face in the top 6 in fact. Now for the Practical part. As Present Mic had told the examines, you were all being scored by how villains were defeated. I'll let All Might take over from here." Nezu says. As he finishes he looks over to All Might
All Might begans "For the practical you scored 56 Villian points. That's well enough to pass, however there was a secret factor. You see, being a hero is not all about beating villian. It's also about saving and protecting innocent lives. Let's take a look at some footage from the pratical."
Suddenly the holographic change from a video of All Might and Nezu to some camera footage. In the footage we see Alex save many other students from issues like rubber bullets and helping out numbered students. The last footage shows Alex protecting Mina and Jiro from debris and destroying the robot. The footage switches back go All Might and Nezu.
"There were also rescue points, in which the judges scored you with 49 points. Add those with your Villain Points and you receive a score 105. You're not one of two who were able beat the previous record this year, which was mine, but you also got first in the Exam." All Might finishes.
Alex stares in disbelief. He knew the practical would be his best bet, but he never expected to beat All Might's record or even be first in the exam.
Nezu speaks "Theres more to this scoring than entering the hero course. Yes you needed to pass in order to be enrolled into the hero class, but it also decided one thing. Which hero's course you were to enter. Either Class 1-A or 1-B. As you may or may not know, the hero courses in total can have 40 students. You're the exception. The judges also made some decisions to decide which class you'll be enrolled into."
Alex was hoping he would at least be with Izumi or Bakugou, any of his friends. Nezu continues as he drinks his tea.
"With the judges decision, it had been decided you will be enrolled in Class 1-A." Nezu says with a smile. All Might grin wider as he then says the words Alex has been waiting to hear all day.
"Welcome Young Washington. This is your Hero Academia."
At that moment whenever he would try to deny it, Inko will always swear that he heard Alex in his room cheer and yell "YES!!"
