DISCLAIMER: I own nothing from the Naruto universe but I do have an imagination of my own. I got some inspiration from the story ARVUM, but have expanded on it. I desperately tried to get permission to continue that story, etc., but received no response, sadly.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear: Naruto sensed Mizuki and henged before she saw him. She hid behind the door opposed to the closet that held the forbidden scroll. In broad daylight, the idiot tried to jimmy the door. Naruto pounced.
Kakashi Hatake actually decided to be on time today, even though his instincts were screaming against it. He just wanted to get it over with, though. He had to find out about living quarters and Kami-only-knows-what-else to prepare for life with his wife. Wife: ugh.
The last thing he expected to see when he arrived at their assigned meeting time was his new wife putting the beat down on an Academy sensei next to the Hokage's office. "Naruto?" Kakashi asked the two identical blondes that were kicking the chunin and other, who was punching said chunin's face. Startled big blue eyes looked up at him, and immediately the kicking Narutos dispelled. The original Naruto gave the chunin sensei an additional punch in the face, even though the man had already been knocked out. What the fuck?
"I can explain," his wife exclaimed. Kakashi heard her mutter something about this being the worst day ever. Yeah, he can understand that. His new wife has caused serious injuries to a fellow Leaf nin, after all, right in front of him. "Would you mind getting the Hokage for me?"
"Maa, you sure you want that?"
Nice of him to ask, I guess. "Hai." She looked so flustered that he couldn't help but smile at her.
Well isn't she a little weird? He knocked on the Hokage's office door and entered. "Maa, Naruto would like to talk to you, Hokage-sama. She's out here with a chunin sensei. He's a little… unconscious and broken."
Thus began the meeting between the Hokage and the Hatakes.
The Hokage came out, bewildered, and could only shake his head at what greeted him. Naruto reported on what had taken place in the hall. Her husband, looking on with one eye, said nothing until after their leader led the ANBU out who had remained in his office. "I'll be back shortly, you two."
It was hard to look up at the man, but she finally did. Here they were in the Hokage's office, alone - just the two of them. Naruto felt like crying. She had missed the man so much and now, here they are in this situation. "So you're exactly on time," Naruto finally said to Kakashi.
"Maa, I was actually on my way to a bookstore when a group of dogs forced me towards the Tower. I figured since I was in the area, I should probably be here on time," Kakashi finished lamely.
Naruto's heart warmed so much at hearing one of her former sensei's dumb excuses. And this one for being on time? It was even more precious to her. She smiled up at the silver-haired man. "Is that so? Sounds awful! You didn't get hurt by those dogs did you?" She batted her eyelashes twice at him playfully and slowly.
Kakashi blushed: he could feel his entire face heating up. He had not been at all prepared for her to be amused at his terrible excuse. Usually, he just pissed people off! He was looking at the floor when her light laughter caught his attention and he realized that she was now standing. Slowly walking towards him, he watched her hips sway back and forth. That outfit she's wearing was really doing it for him. Kami! Did she know that she was being seductive? Alluring? Because she was!
She definitely didn't have the body of a teenager. Seriously. Kakashi wasn't sure what to do as she slowly approached him. He was the ass that cast women off before morning, but this is his wife who's quite effectively…
Sensei is going to drag the Shinigami back with him and kill me repeatedly for what I'm thinking. Now she was just an inch apart from him, looking up at him. And she's beautiful… She's tiny, except for her chest… and hips - although it all looks great. He chastised his perverted mind again. The bewitching blonde stared at him with her incredible eyes and long lashes, looking up at him; after all, she only came up to a little over his chest. His heart was beating fast and there was a heat he could already feel between the two of them.
Her sweet pink lips began to speak to him and he was awestruck. Utterly captivated. I'm going to hell. As he began to bend down towards her, there was a very clear and singular cough.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked, looking pissed.
Both parties to the seduction froze, Kurama laughing his multi-tailed ass off in Naruto's mind. Neither Kakashi nor Naruto had even noticed the man enter!
Naruto recovered first, "What took so long, JiJi?" She turned around to look at her grandfather-figure and Kakashi had to hide his red-as-all-get-out blush. He also had to force himself to look away from his wife's ass, which was working for him, too. Mind out of the gutter, Hatake!
The Sandaime looked at the couple, feeling unimpressed - to put it mildly. Not to mention, the little blonde before him is Minato's daughter, so how did she manage to have some of Jiraiya's traits passed to her? That jutsu of hers… Not to mention my idiotic Elite Jonin standing here looking like a fool... "It seems you were correct Naru-chan. Mizuki is at T&I, singing like a bird."
Having composed himself and honestly curious, Kakashi finally asked "May I ask what you are referring to, Hokage-Sama?"
He got an awfully testy look from his leader! "Naruto-chan here uncovered a spy within our midst, teaching at the Academy." Kakashi was shocked. Looking at the young woman - who would not be getting free ramen on him tonight - the leader added, "You will be paid for a B-ranked mission in reporting on and bringing him in. Why don't you head to the missions desk and collect your pay, Naru-chan?"
"I think they're closed."
"Go, Naruto. I need to speak with your husband alone," the Sandaime ordered darkly. As the blonde turned to shut the door she saw the pitiful look in her husband's eye. She tried to tell him that she was sorry or worried about him with her eyes, but he wouldn't look at her. He wasn't helping himself, either - if she was right about what they could be "discussing" - he looked pretty shifty, standing there in front of the Hokage.
The door shut behind the blonde, and Kakashi sighed. Yes, he knew how he'd screwed up. And this discussion he was about to have with his leader was probably going to weigh on him for a long time. "Hokage-sama," is all that he got out before he saw the flash of an old man's face in front of him and his world went black.
When Naruto returned from the missions desk to attempt to collect her pay she found quite a site waiting for her. Sitting at his desk, the Hokage was looking way too pleased for a man that was actually completing his dreaded paperwork. Her husband, on the other hand, was out cold and partially hanging off the nearest couch. "What did you do to him?" Naruto asked coldly.
"Mou, Naru-chan! I have no idea what you're talking about. I was going to have a talk with your husband, but what do you know? He wanted to wait for you and then fell fast asleep." The Sandaime's mood was way too bright for such a thing, and Naruto wouldn't have imagined that he would actually knock-out Kakashi! She walked over to the masked man and gently tried to right his position. Kakashi groaned.
Yes, it looked like that old coot had hit her hubby. She turned around and gave the Hokage a mean glare, while the man just looked back at her in amusement. "He didn't do anything wrong," she muttered.
"And now he won't," the elderly man said. He looked away as Naruto finally was able to bring the Hatake back into the here and now, finally looking up as he heard the Jonin say something nonsensical. "All right you two. I'd like you to decide whether you would like to live in the old Hatake Clan grounds, or if you would like to reside in Minato and Kushina's home."
Kakashi sat up straighter and looked at Naruto. "I suppose I'll leave the choice up to Naruto-chan, but," he paused, looking away, "I would prefer not to… Wait: didn't Minato-sensei and Kushina-nee live in an apartment? I know they had an extra bedroom, but..." He then looked at Naruto guiltily, as if he shouldn't have said her parents' names, or done so with such familiarity. Naruto placed her hand on his own but then moved it away soon after when she saw him stiffen from the gesture. She knew that Kakashi had "issues with intimacy," meaning open gestures of fondness or the like. She really hoped that he didn't have other intimacy problems! She was more than nervous enough about things like that for the both of them! Internally she flushed.
"The village charter states that a new Hokage will have an estate built for them by the village if that individual is not part of a major clan. Minato-kun was the first Hokage to have a home built for him this way, as Sensei and the Shodaime both lived on the Senju estate - as did Kushina-chan, when she was younger. They did have an apartment, as you know, Kakashi-kun, and sadly they never took the opportunity to move into their estate," the Hokage informed them.
"Oh, that's too bad. But really, Kakashi-san: whichever option you prefer will be fine with me. Had my parents lived there, I think I would have wanted to live there, too, now. Although I have to say that if that makes you uncomfortable, I would be happy to live at your family's compound: no doubt," Naruto said sincerely.
"Maa, maa, Naruto-chan. No need for honorifics," he said, giving that eye smile of his. "I'd rather live wherever you want. I don't see any need to go back to the Hatake grounds." It'll probably be a mess, anyway - one I don't want to see. He had avoided it since his father had committed suicide in their home when he was 5. That was the last place he wanted to be.
"Very well," said the Sandaime. "Then tomorrow I will take you on a tour of your new estate. You will need to furnish it and such. Oh, and Naru-chan, we will be moving back the genin team assignments a bit because of the issues with Mizuki."
"May I ask for the details of this?" Kakashi asked. After all, it involved his wife, but it also could be even more of a headache for him. The council was insisting that he teach the "last loyal Uchiha," and wanted him to be Kakashi's apprentice. Kakashi wouldn't do it though. The kid would either pass with a team or not pass at all! Teamwork, he felt, was too important to surviving as a shinobi, and was a major part of the Will of Fire. If the little Uchiha-prick couldn't deal with that, then there's no way Kakashi would pass the kid.
Sarutobi looked up at the man. "Why don't you ask your wife about it as you walk her home? She's the one who reported it to me, after all. Oh, and Jonin Hatake: you will only be walking her home. Am I clear?" He was clear all right, to both the Hatakes.
"Hai, Hokage-sama. Crystal clear," Kakashi replied stoically.
No sugar tonight, not even masked-sugar, Naruto pouted unhappily. She was told that the team placements would be soon, but the issue needed to be discussed by the council. Great.
"You two get out of here. I need to - do anything else," the leader groaned. He had seen Naruto pouting about his order and really wanted to scream at her father for not being here to deal with this himself. For a moment he could see his village soon filled with little silver-headed nuisances if things continued as they were about to - but he quickly banished the horrid thought from his mind. Why am I the one left here to deal with all this shit?
