"Just say a prayer before your death?" Onoki said
"Something like that..." Naruto said and his eyes seemed to shimmer. Then he disappeared from sight and everything went into mayhem.
Ay powered up into his lightning cloak the moment he processed Naruto's movement. Onoki took to the sky and the Jinchuriki all had a red cloak around them.
When Naruto reappeared he was behind Roshi and kicked him in the spine sending him flying with a crack sound. Ay appeared beside Naruto and went to punch him.
"This is the fastest that the 'mighty' Ay can go?" Naruto said as he leaned his head back dodging it.
"YOU'RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT!" Ay spun around to kick him when he was shocked...literally.
Naruto had brought his hand up and covered it in red lightning. When he caught Ay's leg, the red lightning went straight through the armor and was sent through his leg. Ay reeled back in pain but before Naruto could strike again, Yugito blitzed by making him jump back.
"I get to dance with you again it looks like." she said and lunged again. This time however, Naruto handled it better as it was his second time seeing her fight and he wasn't being held back by anything at the moment.
"I'll be your last time." Naruto unsheathed his tanto as she pounced, all her momentum came straight at him. When she realised what he was dling and wasn't going to dodge, it was too late. He smirked at her when he saw her face as she realised her mistake. "Goodbye, Kitty Cat."
He lunged with his tanto and she resigned to her fate. It was too late to try to change course or do anything. As she closed her eyes, an intense heat was felt which forced her to look, a ball of lava hit the tanto and threw it off course. It was taken from his grip and she landed beside him. A nod to Roshi signified her appreciation and looked back at Naruto who was no longer there.
His tanto was on the ground but he wasn't. There was zero chance he was hit, so where was he? Fear ran up her spine as her senses were going crazy. It was like he was everywhere and yet...nowhere.
"Kitten, WAKE UP!"
"Huh?"
"Genjutsu! Move!"
Yugito nodded and jumped away which was just in time as Naruto had just slashed with his kunai where her throat previously was. He stood straight up and smirked. "Nice try..."
She looked down and noticed that a large array was underneath and it began to glow. She didn't understand what it was but now she couldn't move, and she felt her strength leaving her. After a while, she dropped to her knees panting heavily.
"W-what are y-you doing?"
"I'm sealing away your chakra. Don't worry though, you'll be dead shortly." Naruto turned his attention towards Roshi. "Now, for interrupting."
Several kunai were launched at Roshi who started dodging and charged Naruto.
"Did you not learn anything from the last time?" Naruto said from all around Roshi.
"No! You couldn't have! I haven't even looked in your eyes!"
"You'd think by now that you guys would realise that you don't have to make eye contact. There are more than one way to initiate a Genjutsu, you know."
"Well it's about to break now that I know, so HA!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble there. But haven't you noticed that nothing is breaking. You are very much still in my Genjutsu. You won't be breaking out, nor will you live past this."
"What? How?"
Naruto appeared within a flock of crows and stood before him as the world darkened around them. It became nothing but a void.
"I've sealed your mind. This is just a hint of what I see..."
Naruto disperesed and then everything faded away. All existence gone, nothing...pure nothing.
Naruto cracked his neck and watched Roshi's body dropped like a sack of potatoes. He looked back at Yugito who was still on her knees and took a knee infront of her.
"Here, no need having you suffer. We were the same at one point..." With that he stretched his fingers all out like a knife hand and placed the tips of his fingers in the center of her chest. "Goodbye." Red lightning discharged and her heart, lungs, all internal organs blew up in an instant. She felt no pain, just instant death.
2nd Company
"Mercy? I thought you said he has none in this state." Temari said
"You really don't understand what I meant. Just shut up and focus. We'll have to engage once he drops." Kakashi said.
"Naru is doing just fine. What makes you think that?"
"Sasuki. Despite his power, he's taking it all on by himself. He's expelled quite a bit of chakra to have been sealing both of them. That's the real reason he killed her that way. It was going to cost too much to seal her and the Bijuu as he planned...still it was mercy in a sense since she can go to the pure world, while the other is sealed forever." Wolf said.
"I don't get it. His strength was increasing and was still rising. Why is there need for concern?"
"Sealing Bijuu isn't easy...to put it into perspective, it will normally take multiple sealing master to seal a Bijuu. There's certain seals that you can do alone but it generally results in death or a weak seal. He sealed one on his own, and most likely would have done the second had he not need to conserve strength."
"But, if he sealed one, why not finish the other?"
"He doesn't have unlimited chakra. His levels are still rising but to finish it would leave him tired. I wonder what made him decide to seal them?" Wolf watched as Naruto was fighting. "Then again...where did he seal the 4 tails?"
"What?" Baki said
"Well...he sealed the Bijuu, where?"
Naruto
Ay watched as Yugito was killed. Naruto had placed her down gently and stood up. He was infuriated at seeing his Jinchuriki be killed, and he was close to her, almost seeing her like a niece.
"YOU'LL PAY!" He charged Naruto who dodged casually.
"Where's the eight tailed Jinchuriki?"
"NOT HERE!"
"Oh, shame. Now sit quiet while I deal with Yagura." Naruto fused a lightning punch and Ay collided into a stone wall that bordered the stronghold.
He knew time was limited, this power would fade soon. He wouldn't lie though, it felt great to feel his full strength. To be swallowed fully in the darkness gave so much power. He felt great.
Naruto looked at Yagura who had an unfamiliar feeling...fear. Yagura was only slightly older than Naruto and yet their levels of power the furthest they could be. Just what gave him so much power?
"Uchiha..."
"Yagura."
Yagura held his staff a bit nervously. "Enough! He's trying to keep us isolated! He know's he can't handle us together. Besides...we all know he's going to run out of time at some point...it's all a matter of time." Onoki started laughing and the three Kage got together.
"You're right. We just gotta hold out a while longer." Yagura said.
2nd Company
"Something is wrong." Asuma said.
"Yeah...they know this won't last. He tried to keep them seperate but now they know." Kakashi said.
"We're about to see a whole other side to Naruto. For once, he can't afford to hold back." Wolf said, without them noticing he began charge up chakra and held a syringe in hand.
Naruto
Naruto sighed, it was only a matter of time before they really worked together. Atleast he took out two of the pieces first. There was only one more target that he wanted to get. No matter what, he would kill the last target.
"It almost went perfectly. If only Gyuki's Jinchuriki was here."
"Kit. you have two clones left with nature energy. I'm ready to fulfill my role but the odds of survival..."
"Odds don't matter. All safeties are coming off. I only have a little over a minute before i start diminishing...we won't be able to do it after that."
"It will be an imperfect fusion due to the seal...Naruto...the risks might be too great."
"Kurama, listen to me. This was always going to end in one of two ways. I either die to them, or to the aftermath of these techniques. At this point, I know I can no longer fight after this. It's time to go all out."
"Kit."
"You with me, Kurama?"
"Very well Naruto. LET'S DO THIS!"
Kurama clapped his hands together and channeled as much chakra as he could due to the seal's restrictions and then looked down to Naruto. He made a fist and put it through the gate of the seal. In return, Naruto bumped his fist to his and absorbed the chakra, it burned and he tried to scream but nothing came out.
It felt like a fire that shot from his hand, through his arm and to his whole body. It spread up his neck and as it went all through his eyes, he opened them to reveal gold...
In the real world, wind started to pick up like crazy, Naruto's cloak that he'd cut up was flapping around and his eyes were shut. The Kage didn't know what was going on and took a step back to brace for whatever came.
2nd Company
"What's happening? Where is this wind coming from? What's this feeling?" Yugao said as everyone stumbled slightly.
"Naru-kun...is he ok?"
"Yes...I think?" Kakashi said. "Commander Wolf, do you know anything?"
"N-no...I've never seen what's coming. All I can say is that he really isn't pulling any punches anymore."
"Uchiha...you fascinate me." Gaara watched intently, never taking his eyes off of Naruto.
Dust picked around Naruto and clouded their vision. They all covered their eyes as dust came and when it settled slightly, a blinding golden light seemed to appear from Naruto. After a second to adjust, they noticed a golden glow was pulsing all throughout Naruto. His EMS was even golden. At some parts it would flash back to normal as the golden glow circulated all around his body.
"What is this? Is this really you? Naru-kun?"
"Wolf! That's the Kyubi's chakra that he's mixed with his own! I thought that shouldn't be possible!" said Kakashi as his Sharingan analyzed Naruto.
Had they paid attention, they would have seen that through Wolf's eye holes were a pair of glowing Sharingan watching intently at Naruto. "So I'm going to need to use this afterall." Wolf deactivated the eyes and looked towards Kakashi. "It normally wouldn't...but he's bypassed it somehow...the repercussions to such a move...it's practical self destruction."
"He's going to die?" Kankuro said. He was silent the entire time having been watching the fight and had been in awe at how Naruto handled himself this whole time. Never did he imagine anyone being able to pull off what he had done.
"That's not what i mean. His chakra is attacked by this illness, because of the Kyubi's chakra. Him doing this...will take away all his chakra now entirely. He won't recover like he would have before...he'll have absolutely no chakra."
Just then two people arrived at Wolf's side. "THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"
"Jiraya-sama...what are you doing here?"
"WOLF! What have you done?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"CUT THE CRAP IT-WOLF! WHAT IS THIS?"
Wolf flinched slightly when Jiraya slipped up. It took a second to recumpose himself and gather his next words.
"He wanted to fulfill his role in the war. He only had a couple weeks left. He decided to go down while taking the Jinchuriki with him. He's taken out two. He is almost done completing his goal."
"YOU ALLOWED THIS?"
"Jiraya-sama, you have no right to be angry. In fact, this is very much your own fault. YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS! THIS, this is on you. If you had just given him the key, Naruto-kun wouldn't be in this situation! If you had just given him the key, he would actually get to live! BUT NO! You tried to control something you had no idea of! NOW LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
"Take it easy Commander."
"No Kakashi! This bastard ditches Naruto-kun, denies him of the one thing that will save his life, then blames me for this? NO! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! You should have come six years ago! You have no right blaming me! I already watched my bestfriend die...because of you, I also need to watch his little cousin die!"
Jiraya took a step back. He didn't know what to say. It was his fault. All of it. All he had to do was stop being stubborn...all he had to do was trust Naruto. Had it been Minato, he would have done it without hesitation since he fully believed and trusted him. But with Naruto, he didn't, he doubted him and because of that, he's suffered.
"Commander Wolf, I don't know what's really going on here but it's clear that you care about Naru-kun...how can we help him? fighting amongst eachother doesn't solve anything."
"Sasuki, there isn't anything we can do. I planned to shoot this into his system, it would potentially save his chakra system so he can recover...It's untested and may not work."
"Look, before you guys started fighting, we came to bring the key to the seal. How are we supposed to do that?"
"Tsunade-sama." Wolf bowed to her "Once Naruto-kun's power fades, I will go in and by you guys time to retrieve him. At that point, I don't know how the key works so you'll have to handle that part."
"Very well."
"Wolf...I didn't mean-"
"Save it Jiraya-sama. Save Naruto-kun, and maybe we'll talk."
Jiraya nodded and took a step back away from him. He wouldn't mess up anymore after this. He would do right by them and everything will work out.
Naruto
Opening his eyes, Naruto looked at the three infront of him. The gold was pulsing all around him and he looked at them with an impassive gaze. He showed them no emotion.
Forming an "X" with his arms, he held three kunai in each hand between his fingers. He outstretched his arms and at the same time flung the kunai all at them. They began to scatter to dodge and he Hiraishined through every single one delivering a blow to each of them. All three Kage hit the stone wall, all the kunai landed in the wall beside them. Onoki and the Raikage were the closest together, so Naruto teleported to the kunai between them and in his left hand was a red Chidori, in his right, was a Rasengan.
Onoki tried blocking the Chidori with a stone armor but it was torn through like nothing and stabbed into his left shoulder. Ay managed to not take damage from the Rasengan but it threw him through the stone wall.
Naruto took out a kunai and went to stab Onoki when Yagura came to hit Naruto.
"Screw it...It's over!" Naruto glanced at Yagura and everything changed.
Genjutsu
Yagura looked as the sky was red and everything was black. He stood in water that burned and seemed like he was slowly sinking. It felt so hot like he was being out on fire but it was worse. When breathing it was freezing cold. Everything about the world he was in was excruciating.
"W-what is t-this?"
"I told you, I could have killed you long ago just by looking at you...you see...I only have a limited time and I might not have enough to kill you all, at the very least my goal was to seal all the Jinchuriki. I succeeded with the 4 tails I have him. But I couldn't seal the two tails otherwise I couldn't access this power. So I killed her instead. You...well, I already promised to kill you."
"I-I won't accept this!"
"You don't have to. It's over." Naruto said coldly at him and turned away as meteors came crashing down on Yagura.
Real World
Naruto watched Yagura's body drop and shake like crazy. It was like he was having a seizure. He knew what it was, the Bijuu was trying to break free.
"Well Kurama. This will most likely be the last move."
Naruto went through several handsigns and slammed his hands onto Yagura. An array of seals spread over his body and then glowed brightly. It looked like what was happening to Yugito to them however it was different since Yagura was already dead. After a few seconds, the light faded and Yagura was ignited in red flames.
Naruto was panting heavily when it finished and he was on a knee. The golden glow was still pulsing around his body so he still had chakra, he was just running out fast.
"If you'd been sealing them within yourself, it wouldn't be this draining."
"I can't handle them right now...It would kill me."
"Says the guy who chose this route. It seems like you're hoping you survive, even if you don't say it. You don't want to die yet, do you?"
"What can I say Kurama? Maybe I'd like to see her again."
Naruto stood up and looked at the two remaining Kage. He stood slightly slouched and his head was tilted to the right side. They knew he was running low on time and even less due to sealing the 3 tails. What they didn't know was that Genjutsu he used was the biggest factor to the drain.
It's true, he could kill without resorting to that Genjutsu, but for Genjutsu to work on the Jinchuriki, it took that one. Otherwise the constant chaging of the chakra due to the Bijuu, it would break it.
Taking a deep breath, they thought he was purely exhausted and Ay charged. But a wink changed that thought as he spoke. "Fire Style: Great Dragon Flame Bomb!" Three dragon heads flew at them and all collided in the center which happened to be Ay. For a second he thought his lightning armor would protect him...for a second.
The fire all collided in an explosion, but the explosion was exponentially larger than normal due to the mixture of lightning into it. Ay dropped to the ground and was having trouble trying to get back up.
Onoki tried to fire off a beam of his particle style at Naruto. The beam incased Naruto who looked shocked. Onoki smirked and unleashed his technique to destroy Naruto. He laughed when nothing remained.
"Ha! Serves him."
"Serves what?"
Onoki heard a voice behind him and it sent chills up his spine. He became far more scared in that moment than any other time in his life...far more than that night Madara had come to Iwa...
"H-how?"
"My father killed 1000 of your shinobi with it...have you forgotten how it works?"
Naruto placed a kunai at his throat and Onoki remembered that there had been marked kunai just by him. He really has lost a lot due to age. Resigning to his fate, he closed his eyes.
Just as he was about to slit his thoat, a tentacle came out of the ground and hit Naruto sending him away from Onoki. This made Naruto snarl.
"Someone is always coming to save you all last second!" Naruto looked at the new arrival and noticed that it was none other than the Hachibi Jinchuriki.
Naruto was about to go in and try to kill Bee but stopped abruptly. He began coughing up blood and dropped to a knee while clutching his chest.
"No...not yet...I just need...a little...more..."
Naruto dropped completely to the ground. The golden glow faded away and he was trying to lift himself up using his forearms but couldn't. He couldn't do anything.
"Now you'll die!" Onoki shouted as he began charging up another particle attack.
Naruto could only watch. His Sharingan was no longer active and his eyes looked cloudy. He almost chuckled to himself as he thought about it. This was how it was going to go?
His eyes widened when he noticed someone step infront if him. Then his blood ran cold when he heard a single word escape the person's lips.
"Tsukuyomi."
"I-Itachi? Is-is this really you?" Naruto thought before he faded into unconsciousness.
Hey guys, hope you had a good day. Happy Holidays. Wasn't expecting to get this chapter out but I have been bed ridden so why not? Normally I'd have to go to work tomorrow and Sunday but I've been sick and it's gotten worse. My manager is having me go get tested for COVID and I go on Monday. So since I'm home, I'll be trying to get as much done with the stories as I can.
