Tarika was very restless to know about the girl. She remained gloomy all day long. She couldn't stop thinking about the girl. She was talking with her own mind.
Tarika:" Koun hai wo ladki? Koun ho sakti hai? Abhijeet ne jabse mujhse pyaar ka ijhaar kiya hai ,tabse kisi ladki ke sath dekhi nehi maine usko. Phir achanak wo uss ladki ke sath itna close kaise ban gaya? Kahi wo uss ladki se pyaar...Nehi ,nehi , aisa nehi hoga shayed."
Tarika's mind : " Aur agar hoga bhi to kya harz hai? Tumhare liye to accha hi haina , Abhijeet kisi aurse pyaar karne lagega to tumse pyaar karne ka dawa nehi karega. tumhe to uska pyaar nehi chahiye , hai na?"
Tarika :" Ha , nehi chahiye. Par...Wo aise kaise achanak kisi aur ladkise pyaar kar sakta hai ? Wo to kehta hai ki...Wo mujhse pyaar karta hai."
Tarika's mind:" Ha ,karta tha. Magar tumne badle me usko kya diya? Pyaar de payi tum usse? Nehi na? Pyaar karna to dur , tumne to uska apmaan kar diya. To bhala kyu wo tumse pyaar karta rahe?Abhijeet aab shayed tumhe sirf apna dost mante hai , aur tum bhi to usko sirf apna bohot accha dost manne ka dawa karti ho na? Phir wo chahe kisike saath bhi ghume ,kisise bhi pyaar kare , tumhe usse kya fark padta hai?"
Tarika : " Tum thik kahte ho , mujhe kuchh fark padna nehi chahiye. Par mujhe kyu kuchh bhi accha nehi lag raha? Kyu dilme ek bechainisi hone lagi hai? Kyu? Pata nehi kya ho raha hai mujhe. Magar mujhe uss ladki ke bareme janna hi hoga. Abhijeet raat ko ghar lautega to mai khud puchh lungi usse ki koun thi wo ladki."
At 11: 30 p.m...RAICHAND MANSION...Abhijeet's bedroom...
Tarika was waiting for Abhijeet's arrival at his bedroom. She was engrossed in reading a book. Abhijeet entered inside his room. At first, he didn't notice Tarika and threw his jacket on the bed. When he was unbuttoning his shirt , he saw Tarika and asked her with surprised tone,
"Tarika? Itni raat ko tum yaha? Kya baat hai? Sab thik hai na?"
" Sab thik hai Abhijeet. Mujhe tumse kuchh baat karni thi. Tum kab lautoge pata nehi tha, issliye tumhare kamreme baithke tumhara intezaar kar rahi thi. Tumne dinner kiya?"
" Ha. Ek dost se milne gaya tha , to dono saathme dinner karliya."
" Dost? Ladka tha ,ya ladki?"
"Ladka. Par aise kyu puchh rahiho? Kya baat hai Tarika? Kya baat karna chah rahithi tum?"- Abhijeet asked in surprised tone.
" Abhijeet , aaj dopaher ko... tum ek ladki ke saath apni car me kahi ja rahethe. Maine traffic singnal pe tum donoko bohot...bohot...hass hasske baat karte huye dekhi thi. Koun thi woh, Abhijeet?"
Abhijeet stared keenly at her for sometimes and tried to figure out what was bothering her. He had a mischievous grin in his face. He said with serious tone ,
"Accha woh? Woh Radhika hai. Bohot khoobsurat hai na? Pata hai tumhe , Radhika bohot acchi ladki hai. Accounting me masters complete karchuki hai. Uske papa engineer hai. Waise tumhe bohot jald usse milne ka mouka mil jayegi. "
Tarika : ( With sad tone) " Ha , dekha maine , bohot khoobsurat hai. Lekin mai kaise usse milungi? Aur kyu milungi? Woh to tumhara dost hai na?"
Abhijeet : " Sirf dost nehi hai. Woh mere liye kuchh aur bhi hai. Kuchh khaas."
Tarika : ( With teary tone)" Accha? Radhika bohot khaas hai tumhare liye? Aisa kya rishta hai tumhara uske saath ,jo...itni khaas hai woh?"
Abhijeet : " Radhika bohot jald iss ghar ki bahu bannewali hai. Mai bohot khush hu. Kal sunday hai na ,to Radhika ki mummy papa humarey ghar aarahe hai mere papa aur mumma se shaadi ki baat karne."
Tarika looked at Abhijeet with a jerk. Tears were started to form in her eyes. She moved her gaze away to hide her tears from Abhijeet.
Tarika : " Oh! C...c...congratulations. Ye...ye..ye to b...bohot acchi baat hai. A...Abhijeet , b...bohot raat ho chuki hai. M...mai chalti hu."
Tarika ran away from his room without giving him any chance to utter even a word . She entered into her room ,closed the door with a 'bang' and started crying badly hiding her face in a pillow. After sometimes , she was sobbing and thought..." Mujhe itna buda kyu lag raha hai? Ye to acchi baat hai na! Meri sabse acche dost ki shaadi hai . Maine khud usse kahatha ki wo ye baat bhul jaye ki wo mujhse pyaar karta hai , to usne waisahi kiya hai. Mujhe bhulakar zindegime age badhna chah raha hai. Abhijeet agar Radhika se shaadi karke khush rahega to mujheto dost honeke naate uski khushime khush hona chahiye. To phir mujhe itna rona kyu aaraha hai? Aisa kyu lag raha hai jaise mera koi bohot apna mujhse chhut raha hai. Aisa kyu lag raha hai jaise koi aur aake wo cheese chhin rahi hai ,jo sirf aur sirf mera hai. Kahi ,bhabi ki baat sachto nehi hai? Mujhe kahi Abhijeet se pyaar...Nehi nehi ,aisa nehi ho sakta ! Mai kisise pyaar nehi kar sakti. Pyaar, mohabbat mere liye nehi hai...Nehi hai mere liye! "
Tarika was crying badly. She was struggling with her internal feelings. After sometimes, she fell asleep.
Next day...At 8: 45 a.m...RAICHAND MANSION...Dining hall...
Everybody was gathered at the dining table for having breakfast. Everybody looked so happy except Tarika. She was not properly taking her breakfast. She was only moving her spoon.
Mithilesh : "Radhika ki mummy daddy , chacha chachi aur uski bahen Alisha shamko anewale hai. Madhavi , sara intezam acchese ho jana chahiye. Unki khatirdari me koi kami nehi rehna chahiye. Akhir iss gharki pahli shaadi hai , mere bete ki shaadi. Mujhe sab kuchh perfect chahiye."
Madhavi : " Mithilesh , aap to aise keh rahe hai jaise aaj hi shaadi hai. Aaj sirf wo log shaadi ki baat pakki karne , aur mere bete ki 'Roka' ki rasam keliye arahe hai. Aap bilkul fikar maat kijiye. Sab intezam acchese ho jayega. Mai mere bete ki shaadi me koi kami rahne dungi kya?"
Raj became so emotional hearing ' Beta' from his buya ji and fufa ji. He asked with tensed tone ,
" Buya ji , fufa ji , aap dono iss rishtey se khush hai na? Mere zindegime aap dono ki khushi bohot jyada maine rakta hai. Sirf mere aur Abhijeet ke kehne par aaplog Radhika ko bina mile iss shaadi keliye raaji ho gaye ? Aaplog mujhse gussa to nehi hai na ?"
Mithilesh : " Beta , mai ek businessman hu. Koi bhi kadam bina judge partal ke nehi uthata. Maine Radhika aur uske parivaar ke bareme sab kuchh pata karliya hai. Wo bohot acche log hai , bohot sharif , aur Radhika bitiya bhi humarey khandan ki bahu banne keliye ekdam perfect hai. Mai aur tumhari buya ji tumhare faisle se bohot khush hai."
Tarika was confused . She thought..."Uncle ji Raj ke faisle ke bareme kyu baat kar rahe hai ? To kya Raj ne chuna hai Radhika ko Abhijeet keliye? Raj ko to mere liye Abhijeet ki pyaar ke bareme pata hai , to phir wo kaise...Waise thik hi hai. Wo Abhijeet ka sabche accha dost hai. Usko pata hai, mai pyaar nehi karti Abhijeet se, aur usko kitna apmaan bhi kar chuki hu mai . Issliye shayed usne apne dost keliye Radhika ko chuna hai. Akhir Radhika hai to bohot khoobsurat , aur uncle ji ne kaha bhi hai ki wo iss ghar ki bahu banne keliye perfect hai. Tarika , tujhe to khush hona chahiye apni dost keliye."
Madhavi : " Tarika beta , kya soch rahi hai? Tujhe pata hai na Radhika ke bareme?"
Tarika : ( With low tone)" Ji ,anty ji. Mujhe Abhijeet ne kaha hai uske bareme. Wo log aaj shaadi ki baat karne arahe hai , ye bhi kaha hai."
Madhavi : " Bohot taiyarian karni hai. Beta, tu help karegi na meri?"
Tarika : ( With sad tone)" Jaroor anty ji. Aap bilkul fikar maat kijiye. Hum dono milke sab sambhal lenge."
All of them finished their breakfast. Abhijeet had to go to his office for a project. Raj and Mithilesh also had go to the factory for some emergency purpose. Abhijeet already left for his office. Raj was about to go , but he decided to meet Tarika first.
Raj was a little bit surprised at Tarika's expression. He thought..." Baat kya hai? Tarika kuchh sad sa dikh rahi hai. Usne mujhe congratulate bhi nehi kiya ! Usse baat karna parega." He went to Tarika's room and asked her,
" Tarika , kya baat hai? Tum kuchh pareshan si lag rahi ho? Tumne mujhe congratulate bhi nehi kiya?"
Tarika thought..." Raj kya keh raha hai? mai usko congratulate kyu karu? Oh! Shayed issliye kyu ki usne Abhijeet keliye itna accha rishta dhunda ,aur uncle anty bhi usse bohot khush hai. Ha ,mujhe usko bhi congratulate karna chahiye."
Tarika : ( With sad smile)" Mai bilkul thik hu ,Raj. Koi pareshani nehi hai. Congratulations Raj. Tumne bohot accha rishta dhunda hai. Maine Radhika ko Abhijeet ke saath kal dopaher ko dekha hai. Wo bohot khoobsurat hai."
Raj became very happy that Tarika also liked Radhika. Meanwhile ,Mithilesh called him and they headed to the factory. Tarika went to the kitchen to help Madhavi for the arrangements.
Tarika : " Anty ji, aapne aur uncle ji ne Radhika se bina milehi shaadi keliye ha kardiya? Aapko aapni bahu khud dekhke pasand nehi karni?"
Madhavi : " Maine aur tumhari uncle ne Radhika ki tasveer dekhe hai. Mujhe to wo bohot pasand ayi hai. Aur zindegi bhar jin donoko saath nivana hai ,wo donohi agar ek dusre se pyaar karte hai to humey kya aitraaz ho sakta hai beta?"
Tarika :( With sad face)" Ha , wo to hai. Waise anty ji ,mehman kitne baje tak anewale hai? Ye sabto office chaley gaye. Abhijeet ko taiyar honeme kahi der na ho jaye?"
Madhavi : " Wo log sham ke 6 baje tak pohoch jayenge. Tum Abhi ki chhodo ,mai to soch rahithi Raj khud time se taiyar ho payega ya nehi. Ye log kaam me ulajh jayengey to waqt ka khabar nehi hoga unhe. Mai Mithilesh ko waqt pe phone kardungi ke Raj ko leke jaldi ajaye. Raj ko 'Roka' keliye taiyar hona hai na?"
Tarika : ( With surprised tone)" Raj ko taiyar hona hai? Par 'Roka' to Abhijeet ka hai na?"
Madhavi : ( With surprised tone)" Tu ye sab kya bol rahi hai beta ? Radhika se Raj ki shaadi ho rahi hai. Abhi ki nehi."
Tarika : ( With surprised tone)" Per aap aur uncle to keh rahethe ki aapke 'Bete' ki shaadi hai , to phir..."
Madhavi : " Raj bhi to humara beta hi hai na ! Humne bachpanse Raj aur Abhijeet ko alag nazarse nehi dekha kabhi. Raj bhalehi mere vai ka beta hai , par mere aur Mithilesh keliye wo humara dusra beta hai, humara bada beta . Aur Abhi se iss waqt shaadi ki baat karu to pura ghar sadhpe utha lega. Wo apni sofware company ke opening ko leke bohot pareshan hai. Sab akele handle kar raha hai. Tumhare uncle ji se financial help leneko bhi taiyar nehi hai."
Tarika was amazed. She hugged Madhavi happily and said ,
" Anty ji ,aap aur uncle ji kitne acche hai ! Kitna bada dil hai aap donoka. Aaj mai bohot khush hu ki aap dono ke najdig rahne ka mouka mila mujhe."
Madhavi : " Mai bhi bohot khush kismaat hu ki mujhe tujh jaisi beti mili hai. Mera baas chale to mai tujhe iss gharse kabhi bhi na jane du."
Tarika didn't pay much attention to her words as she was very happy to know that Radhika was going to get married to Raj ,not Abhijeet. She said in happy tone,
" Aap aaj ki taiyari ko leke bilkul maat sochiye anty ji. Mai sab dekhlungi."
Tarika was so much happy. She called Abhijeet and he recieved the call.
Abhijeet : " Hello Tarika. Kya baat hai? Achanak phone kiya? Sham ki programme keliye kuchh mangwaya hai kya mumma ne?"
Tarika : " Nehi. Arrangements sab ho jayega thikse. ( With angry tone) Tumhe kaal raatko maine jab congratulate kiya to tumne mujhe kyu nehi bataya ki Radhika aur Raj ki shaadi hai? Mai kitna ghabda gayi thi pata hai? "
Abhijeet : " Apne mujhe kuchh bolne ka mouka diya tha kya ,Tarika ji? Bhag ke chali gayi apni kamreme ! Waise Tarika , tumne socha tha ki Radhika ki shaadi mujhse ho rahi hai. Tumne mujhe congratulate kiya , yaha tak to samajhme ata hai. Par...( With mischievous tone) Tum ghabda kyu gayithi ? Aur ha , mujhe aisa kyu lag raha tha ki tum roti huyi mere kamrese gayithi kaal? Aur aaj bhi tum kuchh sad dikh rahi thi? Baat kya hai? Agar Raj ki jagah shaadi mera honewala hota to kahi kissi bhajaise tumhe buda lagta kya?"
Tarika : ( With tensed tone)" A...A...Aisa k..k...kuchh nehi hai. T...T...Tum shaadi karo ,chahe pyaar karo ,usse m...m...mujhe kya ? Tum bohot jyada sochte ho! Shamko jaldi ajana. Mai abhi rakhti hu. Mujhe bohot kaam hai."
Tarika cut the call. Abhijeet looked at the phone and smiled lightly. Then he again became busy with his work.
At 6: 30 p.m...RAICHAND MANSION...
Radhika's mom ,dad ,chaccha ,chachi and younger sister Alisha came for the 'Roka' ceremony. Alisha was a very beautiful bubbly girl with an average height, beautiful brown eyes , very lovely face and long straight hair. She was a would be computar engineer. She had given her final exam for graduation and was waiting for the result. She was so well behaved and a very jolly girl. Mithilesh and Madhavi liked her very much. Abhijeet also talked to her cordially. Tarika noticed that Abhijeet and Alisha were so much comfortable in talking to each other. Abhijeet didn't pay much attention to Tarika. Tarika was a little bit furious finding Abhijeet and Alisha busy in talking and laughing with each other. The ' Roka' ceremony was over and the elders were discussing about the date of the marriage. Abhijeet said to Alisha ,
" Chaliye Alisha ji ,mai aapko aap ki honewale jija ji ka kamra dikhata hu."
Alisha: " Sirf jija ji ka hi kyu ? Aap ka bhi dikha dijiye."
Abhijeet : " Ha ha ,kyu nehi. Par soch raha hu ke aap mere kamre me chalengi to mere kamre ka rounak kuchh jyada na badh jaye."
Alisha blushed and smiled shyly. Tarika was feeling jealous as Abhijeet was calling Alisha as 'Alisha ji' and also he was flirting with her. Abhijeet took Alisha to his bedroom and showed his novel collection to her. Tarika was very much curious to know what were they doing inside Abhijeet's room. She took a tray containig two cups of coffee and headed to Abhijeet's bedroom. Abhijeet came out of the room and found Tarika at the thresold. He said,
" Arrey Tarika tum ? Oh! Alisha ji ke liye coffee layi ho ?"
Tarika : ( With angry tone)" Sirf tumhare Alisha ji ke liye nehi ,tumhare liye bhi layi hu."
Abhijeet decided to tease her. He took the tray from Tarika and said,
" Ye coffee mai andar le jata hu. Tumhe niche bohot kaam hoga na. Dinner serve karneki taiyari bhi karni hogi ,to tum niche chali jao ,ha?"
Abhijeet entered inside the room without giving any chance to her to say anything. Tarika took a very angry sigh and started to go downstairs with 2 drops of tears in her eyes...
