I like to compare this chapter to flavored sparkling water. It says 'Dance' but there's not really much dancing in it. Maybe a hint.

I honestly had so much trouble with this chapter, it's not even funny. Can you see where I crashed and burned?

I really do like this pair, though.

Akira was never a fan of big parties.

Sure, he liked all his friends, and he didn't mind hanging out with them. But when they all got together it seemed like it was a little too much for him to handle for an extended period of time.

It was hard to avoid the Polar Star parties, though. Not only was it the place where half of his friends lived, but Jun would allow Alice to drag him over there and not let him come home until he spent a considerable amount of time at the dorm. In other words, he was in the middle of big parties often.

He had gotten used to almost everyone's personalities. After all, Yukihira and Alice frequented the seminar headquarters frequently, and he thought that they were the most extreme of his group of friends. Everyone else also had their degree of craziness, but he personally thought that they didn't compare to those two. However, it felt draining to deal with everyone together. He had to deal with people shoving food for him at him to taste, got involved with impromptu challenges, and whatever games that were suggested to play. By the middle of the night, Akira would end up drifting off alone to other places of the dorm while his friends were distracted.

Tonight was different, though.

Somehow, the idea of having a dancing floated around the room until Yuki and Alice decided to make that a reality. They had everyone pitch in to move the tables and chairs around the dining room until there was enough space to move around without hitting anything. Then, someone pulled out a speaker and music filled the air. Amid the cheers and the lights being messed with, Akira decided to bail early. This was getting too far out of his comfort zone.

Knowing that it was way too early for Jun to allow him to come home, Akira decided to head to the fields this time. Being here at the dorm frequently allowed him to figure out where most things were despite not living there. If anyone actually needed him he would be able to find his way back with ease. He hoped that didn't happen tonight because he knew that if he caught the attention of a certain albino he would be on the dancefloor for sure. He would rather wander around aimlessly on his phone until he could call for a car to go home.

"Hey."

Akira flinched at the voice. He had been caught. Turning around, his gaze fell on Ryoko, one of the Polar Star dwellers. Honestly, he was glad it was her and not one of their other more eccentric friends.

"You're leaving?"

"I can't. Jun won't let me come home until I spend some quality time with friends." He explained.

"So what are you going to do until then?"

"Probably wander around like usual."

Ryoko frowned and walked towards him. For a hot second, he thought that she was going to lead him back inside.

"Then I'll stay with you." She said instead, surprising him.

"B-but surely you would have more fun inside?" He stuttered.

"I might." She looked over at the building for a second before her gaze went back to him. "But I might have more fun talking to you."

"Other than my nose, I'm not an interesting person."

"Well, I don't know if you are or not." She countered before spinning around him.

"I want to know the tune you dance to when no one is watching."
