-Doc POV-

"As far as I've heard, the fights still on! The line's not cut-"

"And the whales not gone!"

"The whalerman makes his regular call!"

"To encourage the captain, crew, and all!"

"Soon may the whalerman come! To bring us sugar and tea and rum! One day when the tonguin' is done we'll take our leave and go! Soon may the whalerman come! To bring us sugar and tea and rum! One day when the tonguin' is done we'll take our leave and go!" we sang, finishing the classic chanty. Setting the dumbbells down, I laughed along with Taina, Erik and Sanaa, as we met up by the lockerrooms.

"Workouts never get boring when there's a good old sea chanty being sung" Erik spoke, taking a swig of his water. I watch as Taina shoots him a hard glare.

"Workouts never are boring to begin with idiota" she sneered, smacking him upside the head. Chuckling, he slung his fleece over his shoulder.

"Whatever" he said, facing me. "Anyway, the four of us should do combined workouts more often" he idealised as we walked into the lockerrooms.

"I call lead voice for chantys next time!" Taina called as she and Sanaa entered the womans lockerroom.

"Go for it!" Erik responds. As we enter the lockerroom, I gave him an odd look. "What?" he asked, catching me shooting him the look.

"You're gonna just let her steal your thunder?" I asked. He smirked.

"In case you hadn't noticed, your girlfriend is scary as hell. I just don't want to get on her bad side. Plus, we'll get to hear her singing voice by itself" Erik smiled, nudging me. I smirked, splashing my face with some water.

"There's not something going on between you and her that I should worry about, correct?" I ask, wiping my face down with a towel. Erik smirks, changing into a casual shirt.

"Nope. You're all good, my friend. I wouldn't betray Sanaa like that" he spoke. Nodding, I chuckled at my belief set.

A few minutes of chatting goes by before we exit the lockerrooms, meeting up with the girls, who were chatting up a storm. Taina and I say our goodbyes to Erik and Sanaa, and head to the lounge to catch a breath. Since the holiday parties, Taina made it her mission to get us both back into shape, or at least, back into the shape we were in before all the sugar, fat, and lack of sleep. It was exhausting, sure, but Taina got me through it.

"Sore?" she asked as we entered the lounge, finding it empty. I nod.

"Most definitely. I'll be feeling it in the morning" I mutter the last part, but Taina hears it, and chuckled at my expense. "Gee, thanks for the confidence boost" I mutter.

"Hey, what's a girl gotta do to get a laugh outta her boyfriend?" she smirked, ruffling up my hair. I laughed a bit, reaching around her back, and tickling her side, to which she fell over onto the couch, laughing like crazy. "Idiota!" she laughed, sitting up. "You know that's my weak spot"

"Really? You mean to tell me that the big, bad, Caveira was a weak spot?" I smirk, earning a hard stare from Taina.

"You use it against me, and it will be lights out for you" she promised, hoping up from the couch and walking over to the mini-fridge by the kitchenette. Grabbing a pre-made protein shake, and tossing one to me, she popped it open, and took a small swig. I watch as both her eyes go as wide as they can, before removing her lips from the rim of the bottle, gagging a bit, before sticking her tongue out. "Ugh!" she commented, setting the shake down, and grabbing a bottle of water instead.

"I'll just have water as well, then" I decided, putting my protein shake back in the mini fridge. Grabbing a water, I jumped up onto the counter, taking a seat next to the fridge, thumbing the cap. As I take a swig, I hear gargling, and look over next to me, where Taina was washing her mouth out with her bottle of water. "That bad?" I chuckle. Wiping the excess water off her mouth with her sleeve, Taina looks at me with an odd look.

"Spoiled" she said, finishing her water with a quick swig. I cock my head and look at her.

"Sorry?" I asked. She smirked.

"I didn't mean that you are spoiled, Gustave. I was talking about the shake" she said, opening the fridge, and taking out the package of pre-made protein shakes. "Best by November 24" she read, smirking at the expiration date. "Yeah, these are bad"

"Definitely. Well, we have a few hours before that recruitment meeting. We can pick some more up?" I suggested.

"I'll have someone else do it" Taina shrugged, tossing the box of expired shakes in the trash.

"By 'have', you mean-" I prompted. Taina smirked.

"Hold them at gunpoint until they do" she said with that evil smile of hers. I blushed. To most, if not, all, they see fear in that smile. Me? I just see a beautiful woman. A beautiful woman with the ability to kill.

"Why am I not surprised?" I say in a flat, monotone voice. She just smirks, and hops up onto the counter next to me, resting her head on my shoulder.

"Because you're used to my antics" she supplied, sipping at her water. I chuckled, setting my water down. It was then I noticed a package of lemon bars left over from the parties. Smirking, I reached over to grab one. 'One tangy little bar wouldn't hurt' I thought. Just as I went to open the package, Taina's hand grabs my wrist. "Don't even think about it"

"Just one" I promised. She growled a bit.

"Gustave, you idiota, we're trying to get back into a healthy rhythm!" she reasoned. I smirked.

"You know my obsession with lemon bars, Taina" I spoke, trying to break loose of her grip. Tightening her grip a bit, she knit her eyebrows at me.

"You're a doctor aren't you?" she inquired.

"Um...duh?" I spoke, skeptical about where this was going.

"Then you should know shit like that is unhealthy" she provided. I blew a raspberry.

"Yes, I am aware, however, it's not often I have a treat like this" I came back, glaring into her beautiful brown eyes. We stared at each other for a good while until we heard a camera go off. We both quickie turned to see Jamini smiling down at her phone, typing away. Once she noticed we were looking at her, she shrugged.

"What? You two are adorable." she said before pocketing her phone and heading to the fridge, popping it open. "Out of shakes?" she asked.

"They were past their expiration" I informed, nodding to the trash can where Taina had thrown them out.

"Would you mind grabbing a pack of them?" Taina asked sweetly, causing Jaimini to turn pale as a ghost. I smirked. Whenever Taina talked in that specific sweet voice, it meant you better do whatever it is she wants, or the results won't be pretty.

"S-sure. I was gonna head out anyway" she spoke quickly before heading out. Chuckling, I looked next to me at Taina.

"That's why I love you" I said. She smirked and looked to me.

"My threatening skills?" she asked. I chuckled.

"That and just being you" I said, finishing up my water. Taina smiled, laying her head back onto my shoulder.

Apologies for so long a silence on this story! Things have really been piling up. I will try and get back to a uniform schedule for updates! Anyway, peace for now!
