Christmas

Hello everyone, before the holiday begins I want to take this time with everyone to tell what does Christmas means and how it is celebrated. First we must understand something that isn't said or discussed as much as most of us believe. The first is how Christmas isn't truly the day when Jesus is born, but more so a celebration created sometime ago as Christians became more common over the years. In the Bible, God didn't say when Jesus was born, nor does he give a date of that day. While we don't always know what God wants from us all the time as many of believers should live. We must consider how when dates and days are known, it's only because God wants us to understand something or have some importance when we hear his words of wisdom.

Second is that Christmas doesn't necessary mean the day of Christ, it is still recognize as the day we take this time to celebrate Jesus and his day when he came to our lives as savior of our world. Most of us at this time forget this as traditions and other sorts like presents, Santa Claus, and other sorts are used to cover what we should be celebrating now. Even for Easter when most of the time it's labelled with the Easter Bunny and candy, that day in April is around the time when the pass over for 7 days is mark. Christmas is as fact tradition made from after Jesus has past on and many others that had became followers of Christ, it has change over the years into what we have now and have forgotten that Jesus is who we are to celebrate.

The time where he is born into our world, the time we have receive our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But one of the traditions that seems to stand is peace on Earth and good will to men. It's a time we take our moment to give great joy and celebrate with our family and friends. However the unfortunate fact of the matter is despite how we are to have our family friends, how are those who don't have family and friends can't fill joy or reason to live in this life. Can I say that this season of winter, we can all agree that it's the coldest night of our lives. Many of us reading this can say they have family friends, you have homes that give warm and comfort, and most of all we have many gifts given to us. Yet in this we have riches, we have possessions, but in all these things we have stone hearts, cold feelings and forget that these things on earth can fade away into dust and ash.

Folks I say this that Christmas has overshadowed our lives through stuff and the need to have something by make up people like Santa Claus. Don't allow these things to dictate your life or say to yourself this is enough. Cause no matter how much stuff you obtain, no matter how much riches you have, you will always feel the empty hole once filled of this world's treasure, rot away as it dies by time and age. Folks the day of Christmas is remembrance of both how Jesus is born to our lives, to how Jesus came as God the Son, loving us before we were born or known at the time, came because he loved us more then we do on our own strength, that no matter how vile or wicked your life is Jesus still loves all of us and wants us to know him. To know that there is hope in our lives, to know we don't have to fall in despair that there is a God who wants us home, but loves us enough that even when those people rejected him on the earth, he will love them until the end.

Folks we need to be aware that while we don't truly have an date of Jesus birth, the day of Christmas is both filled with many good and bad things that come from it. One of those things is when we say peace on Earth and good will to all men. We not only do this once a year, but every moment of our lives, and that we are all forgive if we come to him humble and submit our lives to him. There is also something you never realize and I didn't understand it at the time. When we are willing to commit to Christ, we receive a gift from God, that gift is grace. Folks how many times do we take for grated the things we have, the people we are surrounded by, the life that could have ended if we did this or that. Don't take what Jesus has done for our lives for grated, and don't say to yourselves we have everything and can buy more. Many who are rich are not only blind and sick, but also naked in spirit. Take this time to truly give thanks to our Lord and to many things both good and bad that has happen.
