Town of Kuoh
Few days have pass since the Familiar Forest and having both Kuroka and Koneko have amends to each which Koneko ask Virgil to live with him in his house. Of course, he accepts while Asia ask Virgil to train her since she needs to get strong when she saw him used magic with ease. That early morning, both Virgil and Kuroka were about to start their training, but Koneko have arrived at his basement which her sister must've told him where he lived while Asia was watching them getting ready to train.
"Was there a reason why Koneko is here?" Virgil asked curiously.
"There is, she wanted to learn Senjutsu, nya~." Kuroka explains. "That and one other thing, due to her trait of the Rook Piece, she has an impressive offense and defense. However, what she lacks was speed which I might be able to fix that."
Virgil nods with an understanding as Koneko began to transform, revealing her cat ears and cat tail.
"First, I want you to spar against Koneko." Kuroka told him. "I want to see the result of your abilities."
Virgil nods as he used his paradigm to commando as both he and Koneko clashed against each other in hand-to-hand combat. They blocked and parried against each others attack which they were evenly matched, but Virgil blocks Koneko's punch and counters her attack with a knee to the stomach, which Koneko cough a bit while Virgil deliver a back kick to her face, leaving her stumbled a bit. Asia was worried as she was about to rush towards Koneko, but was stopped by Kuroka when she raised her hand.
Koneko got back up as she rushed towards Virgil as she about to deliver a flying kick, but Virgil leaped over to dodge her attack while grabbing her and began to choke her with the half-nelson hold. Koneko was struggling while trying to pry herself out of the chokehold but Virgil used his legs as body-scissors to wrap her body around so she won't get away. She had no other choice but to tap as Virgil lets go of the hold while Koneko gasp for air.
Kuroka sighed as she walk towards them and spoke. "Here's what I see so far. Shirone, due to the traits of the Rook, you have some impressive defense and offense. Plus, you were evenly matched with Virgil's hand-to-hand combat, but what you were lacking was speed and the reason being is because Virgil have much battle experience due to the monsters he fought and you weren't able to tap your Senjustu ability."
Koneko couldn't help but look down at the ground her sister was right as Kuroka continues.
"However, I might be able to fix that which I can teach you about Senjutsu and Virgil may be able to help you work on your speed which it will be an addition to the traits of the Rook Piece." Kuroka told her sister as she turned to Virgil. "Virgil, I want you to train yourself while I begin teach Shirone about Senjutsu."
"Um...what am I going to do here?" Asia ask curiously. "I have been sparing with Virgil few days ago which he taught of how to use magic."
"Is that so?" Kuroka questioned, getting a nod from her. "Well, you can spar with Virgil which you have been improved a little since few days ago."
Asia nods as she began to spar with Virgil which he taught her some basics of combat and magic while Kuroka began teaching her sister of Senjutsu.
Kuoh Academy
After they got finished their morning training session few hours ago, Virgil, Asia, and Koneko have made their way towards the Kuoh Academy and heading to their classroom, but noticed Issei was staring at Virgil with a glare.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Virgil questions, raising his eyebrow.
"I'm still mad at you for washing those slime at those girls in the Familiar Forest." Issei answers as Virgil sighs with annoyance.
"Issei, if you quit being a pervert you might have a chance, but if you keep annoying me, I'll have Asia call Raigil to give you a shock treatment." Virgil warned him with a threat which Issei's face was pale, not wanted to through that. However, class was about to start as the students take their and they heard a new teacher arrived which was none other than Kuroka.
"Good morning class, I'm Kuroka Toujou and I am your new homeroom teacher." Kuroka introduces herself. She wore her black dress coat with black dress skirt, stockings, and high-heels.
Most the male students, except Virgil, cheered at the new teacher, but Kuroka slammed her book down with annoyance.
"Everyone shut up or each of you boys will be sent to detention." Kuroka warned them, leaving the male student gulped with fear as they begin the lesson.
When the class was over, Issei yawned which he didn't get enough sleep as his perverted friends approaches Issei.
"What's wrong with you, man? You tired?" Matsuda asked with worry.
"Yeah, I had a weird dream that kept me up like almost the whole night." Issei answered, leaving both Matsuda and Motohama shocked.
"If you're talking about the wet dream, start spilling right now!" Motohama demands with jealousy glare.
"Well it wasn't." Issei said, averted his gaze. Virgil walked toward Issei.
"It probably make sense if you had a nightmare." Virgil guessed. "Which I think it explains why you slept in late."
"Yeah, it's probably that." Issei nods.
"Well, you probably need to sleep early if you slept late." Asia told her.
"Oh yeah, I was meaning to ask of how Koneko was doing?" Issei asked.
"Well, Koneko have made amends with her sister and she lives in my house." Virgil answered, much to their shock.
"Wait, Koneko lives with you now!?" Motohama questions with a glare.
"That and Kuroka was living in my house which she's got nowhere else to go." Virgil told him, covering up the story. "It's pretty much hard to say no when she wanted to make-up with her sister."
"Virgil was a kind soul, even though he sometimes wanted to help." Asia said with a smile.
"Shit! Probably wanted to help her straightened her bra too!?" Matsuda said with jealously.
"Whoa, she's her own lady." Virgil told him. "Both Koneko and Asia were helping Kuroka out getting adjusted to my house which I don't mind."
That got both Matsuda and Motohama shocked.
"Why are these hot girls throwing themselves at that guy!?"
"It's doesn't make any sense, man!?"
With that, Motohama approached Virgil, much to his surprise.
"Listen Virgil, I don't think it would hurt anything if spread the waffle a little and introduced us to one of the ladies." Motohama pleads as he clapped his hands together. "Oh great one, do this for us! Only you have the power!"
"I just don't know what to tell you, other than telling you guys to get a life." Virgil said with annoyance, but Issei intervenes.
"Actually, I know someone." Issei told them, getting Matsuda and Motohama's attention.
"Really!?" His perverted friends said with a grin, getting a nod from Issei.
"If you set me up with the introduction Issei, I swear you will be rewarded accordingly." Motohama told him.
"Accordingly like what?" Issei asks curiously.
"Tell me, how does the VIP Room sound?" Motohama questions with a perverted grin.
"We can work something out." Issei said as he call someone on a phone. When Issei hangs up the phone, he spoke.
"I do know someone who's pretty interesting." Issei told the two perverts.
"You meant it!?" Motohama and Matsuda ask in unison.
"And we did talk about meeting up today." Issei added with a smile.
"Oh shit!"
"Possibly having some of my friends join us." Issei finished.
"You the man! So, what she like?" Matsuda asked with a grin.
"Well, I definitely say a virgin." Issei answered with dull expression. "No doubt about that."
"A Virgin!" Both Matsuda and Motohama said with excitement.
"That's right, son!" Matsuda added.
"Awesome! Tell us her name!" Motohama said.
"Mil-tan." Issei answered with a sweat drop.
With that, the perverted trio were headed somewhere where they could get into trouble, as usual while both Virgil and Asia were heading towards the tree, enjoying each others company, sleeping. However, they got disturbed when Kuroka arrived.
"Sorry to wake you up, nya~" Kuroka apologizes, waking them up. "I've heard that Issei was heading towards the girl's locker room. I already told Shirone about it."
"Guess you overheard us?" Virgil questions when Kuroka revealed her cat ears.
"Well, my ears aren't for show, nya~. I can hear what they say, even to those three perverts, nya~" Kuroka informed them.
"Can Koneko hear them too?" Asia asked, getting a nod from Kuroka.
"Boy, Issei will be in for a surprise." Virgil said with a chuckle.
With that, they heard a scream coming from the locker area as wall got cracked open, both Kuroka and Virgil rushed towards the changing room while Asia trailed behind them. When they got into the room Virgil drew out his gunblade while Kuroka readied her fireball, but they noticed Koneko smashed the locker with her fist.
"NO KONEKO! PLEASE! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Issei screamed when Koneko sent him flying out of the locker and hit his head on the locker.
Virgil sighed with annoyance as he placed his gunblade back to his holster while Kuroka extinguished her fireball.
"You shouldn't look at the girl's in the locker room." Koneko said with a glare, cracking her knuckles. "You should be put down."
"WAAAAHHH! KONEKO, PLEASE!" Issei screaming, begging for life.
However, Virgil noticed that both Matsuda and Motohama was planning to slip, but he rushed in front of them, looking at the preverts with a death glare.
"And where do you two think you're going?" Virgil asked with his dark tone, leaving them shriveled up to their spine with fear. "Don't think that I'll let you two weasel out of this!"
With that, both Koneko and Virgil have given the Perverted Trio a major beat-down.
Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club Room
After school, the club members was sat together in the Occult Research Club, even Kuroka was there. Koneko was sitting on his lap, Kuroka was sitting next to him on his right side, cuddling him while Asia was sitting on his left side, also cuddling him.
"Kuroka, why are you sitting next to Virgil?" Rias asked curiously.
"Because, I've decided that I like Virgil, nya~" Kuroka answered with a smile. "He's been a good person to Shirone and an impressive fighter. Also, he did help clear my name few days ago and I was happy to reunited with my little sister."
Rias couldn't help but smile of the black-nekoshou's answer.
"Ow...I feel hurt right now..." Issei complains. He underestimated of how Virgil was, and how to not piss off his friends either. Asia look troubled and went to head towards, but Virgil shook his head and gently laid his hand on top of Asia's hand.
"But he's hurt, Virgil." Asia told him.
"He deserves for being a pervert, Asia." Virgil countered.
"Uuuuu...I'm conflicted." Asia said with pouty face. "Even you told me no, I can't ignore his pain."
"He's been spying on my Shirone, nya~" Kuroka told her seriously. "I understand you feel conflicted, nya~. But you need to remember punishment sometimes needed to happen."
"If that's what you mean, then I'll believe you." Asia said.
Virgil nods with a smile as Issei cried when he nursed his bruised face.
"Damn it! Why did you two deny her to heal me!?" Issei shouts with complains.
"Because you spied on the girls in the locker room, especially Koneko." Virgil answered with expressionless face. "That's way out of line and perverted. You need to respect their privacy if you know what's good for you."
"He's right, you reap what you sow." Koneko added with a glare. "This is why I like Virgil better because he's interesting and helped my sister's innocence when no one else could. When it comes to fighting, he's very skilled, but can be a bit peachy sometimes."
Kuroka, Asia, and Rias giggled a bit of that 'peachy' remark. Akeno came over with the tea set as she passes some teacups to the others.
"Ara ara, you might want to keep that perverted level down a notch for that point on." Akeno told him with a smile.
"But still, I don't understand how can you be such a boy." Rias said with a smile.
"What? My friends invited me to go, I didn't want to be rude." Issei told her with a dull smile.
Virgil sighed with annoyance which he knew Issei couldn't help it, but Asia look towards Virgil, wriggled her body.
"Virgil, e-even Issei was a pervert, I'm sure you would also want to experience it too." Asia said with a blush. "I-If you want to see-"
"Um Asia, there's no need to push yourself." Virgil told her with a blush.
Asia had a complicated face while Kuroka giggled a bit of that display as Akeno used her womanly charms on to Virgil.
"Ufufufu, I don't mind if it's you looking at my body, Virgil." Akeno said with her seductive tone. "Thinking about it make's me so hot. Asia, Kuroka, and Koneko gets to play with you, it makes me feel jealous. I just want to play with you, Virgil."
"Sorry, you're just not my type." Virgil told her with deadpan expression. "I'm not into a girl who was in way too much S&M."
"Oh, how can you be so mean Virgil?" Akeno asks with a playful sad tone. "I'm hurt, I just wanted to get to know you better, yet you find me unattractive? How mean of you, Virgil."
Virgil raised his eyebrow which he knows that Akeno was trying to fall for him, but it won't work as Kuroka steps in.
"You know, you might need to give it a rest. He's not falling for it, nya~." Kuroka told her. "His mother have taught him well for not fallen for a girl who's a floozy."
"Like you have room to talk." Akeno retorts with a sweet smile. "You're just a cat who wanted Virgil for yourself."
"True, but I have no sense of hiding it." Kuroka admits. "At least I don't get into S&M, you slut."
With that, both Kuroka and Akeno glaring at each other as sparks began to come out of their eyes. Rias sighed as she turned to Issei.
"Anyway that aside, all you have to do is ask and I'll show you anything." Rias told him.
"What? Seriously!?" Issei questions, getting back up.
"Of course, you've already see me naked, a lot." Rias answered with a smile.
"Yeah, but it's not like it gets boring." Issei said with a smile, blushing while scratching the back of his head.
'What kind of an idiot willingly lets a massive pervert look at a girl in her birthday suit? Well, since he's been offered, I can't do anything about it.' Virgil mentally thought.
With that, Virgil, Issei, Koneko, Kiba, Kuroka, and Asia left the Occult Research Club Room, leaving both Rias and Akeno alone. Rias was looking out the window, watching them leave while Akeno was organizing the papers of the request forms.
"Don't you think it's funny?" Akeno asked with a smile, getting her attention. "You know, the reviews our clients give about Issei are pretty positive. They say stuff like, 'It was so fun' or 'I had a great time with this guy, thanks for sending him to me', yet out of all of them he still hasn't gotten a single pact signed. Huh, oh well, at least he's really good at hanging out, right? As a Devil he's a massive failure, but at the same time the clients seem to adore him. No idea what to make of it, but there you go."
"Interesting." Rias said.
"Still though in his own way, he's trying-"
"But that's not enough." Rias interrupts, leaving Akeno shocked. "Considering what happened with the Familiars, I'm afraid his inability to get a pact might make him stumble and lose confidence."
Rias looked away when she look at the window and spoke. "I must focus on him. He needs me now than ever before."
"Well, that was certainly assertive of you, isn't it?" Akeno questions.
"Is there a point you're trying to make?" Rias retorts while looking at her.
"Just remarking that your style is normally more laissez faire." Akeno answered. "I find this commitment you have to him fascinating, that's all. Do you think there might more to it?"
"Akeno." Rias interrupts. "It's not a bad thing to have my best friend worry about me, but this is my own problem. And I am still President of this club, am I not?"
"Yes, President." Akeno answers as she stands up and bows to her. "If you don't mind, I like to head home now."
"That's fine, I'll just see you tomorrow then." Rias said.
With that, Akeno walks out closing the door, leaving Rias alone as she looks out of the window at the view of the sunset with a troubled expression on her face. Suddenly, a light is showed as she looked at it with a freaked-out expression, noticing someone who knows as the figure appears.
Town of Kuoh
When Virgil, Koneko, Kuroka, and Asia made their way home as both the white-haired l'Cie and the black-nekoshou cook some dinner. What they are cooking was beef stew and tossed salad which Virgil learned from his aunt long ago.
He remembered the time when he was 7 years old, his first cooking was a flop which his adopted family knows that he tried, but Serah discouraged him for cooking while teaching him how to cook and teach him about safety. When Virgil tried cooking again, he got better and his adopted family were very proud of him while they continue to teach him.
It was one of the fond memories that Virgil had when one of the girls spoke.
"Was something on your mind?" Koneko asked curiously, making him snapped out of his stupor.
"Sorry, just remembering the time in Gran Pulse." Virgil answered.
"Oh? Like what, nya~?" Kuroka asked as Virgil explains.
"When I was seven years old, I thought I could try cooking breakfast which I pretty much messed it up. My adopted family noticed the smoke when they rushed towards the kitchen and they saw me cooking."
"Were they mad at you for cooking?" Asia asked with worry.
"Basically yes, but they know I was trying and Aunt Serah give me a few scolding." Virgil nods. "I pretty much got discouraged for cooking which both Uncle Snow and Mom figured that I was trying something nice."
"What did you do after that?" Kuroka asked.
"Mostly training from Mom and Uncle Snow." Virgil answered. "But when I got done training, I asked Aunt Serah for teaching me of how to cook. She said 'yes' and she taught me of how to cook which she knows that I was trying."
"Well the reason is because Serah was worried and she don't want you to get hurt, nya~" Kuroka told him, getting a nod from him with an understanding.
"And how did it went?" Koneko asked.
"It took a while to learn and when I cooked again in the morning, they were amazed when I cooked." Virgil answered. "But when they tried it, they were impressed and I was happy for it."
"They are really proud of you, did they?" Asia asked with a smile.
"They were, but I'm still learning of how to cook which I thanked Aunt Serah for that." Virgil nods with a smile.
Until, they noticed a teleportation magic that was in his home, but it wasn't even Rias's magic circle as the flame rises and it revealed to be Ravel Phenex, much to their surprise.
"Ravel, what are you doing here?" Virgil asked surprisingly.
"Actually, I came here to warn you about my brother, Riser." Ravel answered.
"I bet you came here to tell us that Riser sent you, you grilled chicken." Koneko said with a glare.
Ravel turned her attention to Koneko, glaring at her.
"If I am a chicken, then you're a useless cat that wasn't worth of being well-pampered." Ravel countered.
Koneko's eyes widen with anger as she was about to step forward, Virgil breaks it up while Kuroka grabs hold of her sister.
"That's enough, both of you." Virgil shouts. "There will be no fighting here in my house. Let's just hear her out before it gets out of hand."
With that, both Kuroka and Virgil have separating the two as Ravel noticed the simmering smell that coming from that pot as she took a whiff.
"Are you cooking by any chance?" Ravel questions.
"You're not getting any, Princess Chicken." Koneko said.
"Koneko, be nice." Virgil scolds as he turns to Ravel. "And yes, we're about to have dinner tonight. Would you like to join us?"
Ravel's eyes widen with a blush as she averted her gaze at him and spoke.
"W-Well, I could...since you o-offer me." Ravel said nervously. "S-So yes, I'll gladly accept your hospitality."
With that, they began to have supper as Ravel began to savor the taste of the beef stew, she was amazed of the beef stew.
"Wow, that stew is delicious." Ravel compliments as she turned to Virgil. "How is it that you were able to make it this good?"
"I've learned from Aunt Serah and I got help from Kuroka." Virgil told her.
"All I did was contributed a little, nya~" Kuroka said with a smile. "You did the most part."
"He's right, your meals were amazing." Asia added. "I was blessed for having your meals."
Koneko nodded with a agreement as she was scarfing it down as they continued to eat. Ravel was too occupied enjoying the food as much as she can. She don't know when she'll be able to have Virgil's cooking.
Once they finished their supper, they settled. However, Ravel was secretly wondering when she'll be having Virgil's cooking again as she cleared her throat.
"Well, I thank you for your hospitality." Ravel thanked him. "As I said, I came to warn you about Riser."
"Go on." Virgil said seriously, getting his attention.
"Riser will be planning to be in Kuoh Academy at the Occult Research Club by tomorrow to see his fiancé." Ravel explains.
"You mean to tell me that Rias and Riser were engaged?" Virgil questions, getting a nod from her.
"Apparently, Rias didn't want to go through with it which it's because Riser has a peerage full of girls. I'm pretty sure you've already know some." Ravel told him which they nodded her. "The plan was to have them get married until Rias graduates in Kuoh, but both of the clans decided to change it by tomorrow."
Virgil, Koneko, and Asia were shocked from what Ravel have told them about the engagement.
"That made it sound like they're in a bit of a rush, nya~." Kuroka said.
"It does sound like it." Virgil agreed. "However, for one thing I don't agree was forced marriage."
"I agree with you on that, but if Rias don't want to be engaged, they'll have to settle it with the Rating Game." Ravel told him, much to Virgil's confusion. "Allow me to explain, it's the name of the game that noble Devils play against each other which to be specific, it's where they along with their servants battle each other to determine the victor. Also, it's the reason why each of those have individual powers that were inspired by the Evil Pieces which were based in the game of Chess."
"I see." Virgil said, pondered. "For what I gather about it, Rias was the master which she has the chess piece of the King, both Siris and Kiba were Knights, Asia and Kuroka were Bishops, Xuelan and Koneko are Rooks, Issei was a Pawn I bet, and Akeno was probably a Queen."
"That's right." Ravel nods with impressed look on her face. "You seem to catch on. But, Riser have played numerous games which he won mostly."
"No surprise."
"There's another thing about it, nya~" Kuroka said. "Only the mature Devils are eligible to play the Rating Game."
"What do you mean?" Virgil questions.
"What she meant to say was that Rias was immature to participate in the Rating Game which that didn't leave her much of an opportunity." Ravel answered, getting a nod from him with an understanding as she continues. "Also, my parents wanted to see you in person."
"Why?"
"Well, they wanted to thank you for saving me since I told them about what happen for the past few days." Ravel answered with a blush. "Anyway, I best be going. Thanks again."
With that, Ravel have teleported back to the Underworld as Virgil began to clean the kitchen while leaving the girls upstairs in the bathroom. Virgil was starting to wonder about the engagement in between Rias and Riser which of course, she didn't like him. However the Rating Game that Ravel have told them was a bit different and whenever Rias wants to settle it with Riser, things could get really ugly.
The next morning, Virgil, Koneko, and Asia were heading towards to Kuoh Academy after their training session with Kuroka which of course, she used her own teleportation magic to get to school. They meet up with Issei while heading towards to school, but Issei got clotheslined from behind by one of his perverted friends with angry looks on their faces.
"Rot In Hell, Traitor!" Motohama shouts with anger.
"Sorry?" Issei said surprisingly. "Isn't a little early for you guys to be so mad?"
"I'ma Kill You Bitch!" Matsuda shouts with anger. "Mil-tan The Goon Like Hell, Son! I Know Andre The Giant When I See That Shit Dangled!"
"Issei, what did you do?" Virgil asked seriously.
"Oh, He Did This To Us!" Motohama answered with a yell. "Not To Mention He Was Dressed Up Like A Princess! He Asked If We're Magical!"
"Come on, it's not my fault you didn't want a piece of that." Issei told them with a dull expression.
"How Are You Trying To Hook Us With A Dude!" Matsuda shouts as the two felt scared for they have witnessed last night with teary eyes.
"There was having a party with guys who dressed like little girls." Motohama added. "I've never been to the room full of magical princess tanks, it's not pretty."
"I've never been so scared in my life, that was cold Jack." Matsuda said as the two went after Issei. "We thought we were dead."
With that, both Matsuda and Motohama have given Issei a beat down, leaving Virgil, Asia, and Koneko watching this display as the white-haired l'Cie sighed.
"Come on, we're gonna be late for school." Virgil told the girls which they nodded with agreement as they left Issei behind which he's gonna have to set this one out.
Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club Room
When the class was over, Virgil, Asia, Issei, and Kuroka were meeting up with Kiba as they were heading towards Occult Research Club Room while they explain about what happen last night. Issei explains about Rias have been into his house last night, which he also told him about the woman named Grayfia have arrived to get Rias. Virgil explains about Ravel arrived in his house last night, to warn him about Riser.
"Hmm, if I have to guess, I'd say it's a House of Gremory drama." Kiba guessed.
"That's not surprising." Virgil said with dull expression.
"Do you think Akeno might know what's going on here?" Issei questions.
"She is a right-hand lady, if anyone would know it's her." Kiba answered as he stopped with serious expression. Making the group stopped.
"What is it?" Issei asked.
"I have a pretty good idea about it." Virgil told him. "Ravel have told me about the engagement which I think that got Rias upset about it."
"You're right, that got upset Rias about the engagement and it's bad." Kiba agreed.
It was more than enough for Virgil to be serious about it. He knew that trouble would come, especially with that forced marriage that Rias didn't like and he'll meet Riser in person.
When they arrived, Virgil opened the door, he noticed that Koneko was sitting on the sofa while Akeno was standing at the side of the desk with Rias sitting in her chair and the woman named Grayfia, standing in front of the desk with her back facing them.
She was a young woman appearing to be in her early 20s with back-length silver hair that features a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the end, while the rest is let down in twin braids and silver eyes. She wore a blue and white maid outfit with long sleeves and a white maid headband over her head with red lipstick as a cosmetic accessory.
'Damn, I can sense her magic and no doubt that she's really strong.' Virgil mentally thought with a serious expression. Asia had an uneasy feeling in the room as she was holding on to Virgil's sleeve with an uneasy expression. Kuroka tensed her body with serious expression.
"Well, everyone's here. Good." Rias said with serious expression as she gets out of her chair.
"My lady, if you don't mind. May I have your permission to speak openly?" Grayfia asked politely, but Rias rejects her offer by waving her hand.
"Let's here her out-"
All of a sudden, a fiery orange teleportation circle appeared from behind Virgil, Asia, Kuroka, Issei, and Kiba. They looked at the magic circle that was glowing on the floor. Virgil knows that the magic circle belongs to the Phenex as the flame rises that stood tall and roars when they saw a silhouette of a man.
When the flames disappeared, he revealed to be a tall and young man in the early 20s with short blonde hair and dark blue eyes. He wore a burgundy blazer with gold embroidery on the right with matching pants and black dress shoes. However, his blazer was unbuttoned that shows a white shirt and giving a slight view of his chest.
"Ah, and Riser has arrived in the human realm." Riser said before turning around to face the group with an arrogant grin. "I've come all this way to see you, my beloved Rias."
"Okay, who's this douche?" Issei questions.
"This gentleman is Lord Riser Phenex." Gryfia answered. "He's a Pure-Blooded Devil, a Noble birth, Third Heir in line to the House of Phenex."
"That means what?" Issei asked.
"He is also a fiancé to the next Head of the House of Gremory." Grayfia told him, much to Issei shock.
"Fiancé to what? You're joking right?"
"I am not." Grayfia answered. "Lady Rias had been engaged to Lord Riser for quite some time now."
'So, this is Riser Phenex that Ravel have warned me. By the look of this, Rias hate his guts.' Virgil mentally thought.
Both Rias and Riser were sitting on the sofa that was in front of the window while the others were standing behind the opposite sofa which the atmosphere was still tense. Riser took a sip of the tea that Akeno prepared.
"Lovely, the tea prepared by my Rias' Queen is most delicious." Riser complimented.
"Thank you for the compliment, sir." Akeno replied as she walked away.
'What a fuckin asshole! No way that twat face is gonna marry Rias!' Issei thought with a glare.
Riser began to play with Rias' hair and blatantly feel her body, much to her disgust and didn't enjoy it. Virgil was mustering every bit of his emotions that he possessed to prevent himself from literally freezing him and slice him into pieces. With that, Rias have had enough as she got up from the sofa.
"That's enough, Riser." Rias said with displeased look on her face. "Let it go, why don't you understand? I have no intention of ever marrying you."
"But my daring, Riser believes your family circumstances are still such that you can not afford to be so selfish." Riser told her with a smirk.
"I will not bring my family to ruin." Rias said firmly when she turned to face him. "I have no intention of denying you your right to our name. However let me be clear, my husband will be my choice."
"Remember, it's imperative for Devils to remain Pure-Blooded." Riser stated. "We're still recovering our numbers from the Last War. Both your father and Sirzechs decided on this arrangement with the future of Devils in mind."
"My father, my brother, and my whole Clan made this decision because there in too great of rush." Rias told him when she turned away but turned to him. "For the final time, Riser. I will not marry you."
Riser stood up with annoyed expression as he held her chin.
"For the final time, Rias. Riser bares the reputation of the House of Phenex." Riser replied. "Smirching our good name is unacceptable."
Virgil, Kuroka, and Rias' peerage was getting ready to fight as Riser looked at him.
"Riser doesn't care if has to incinerate every one in this room." Riser said with an arrogant smirk. "You will return to the Underworld with me!"
Both Riser and Rias eyes glows, but Virgil activate his paradigm to ravager.
"Blizzaga: Snowstorm" Virgil activates his ice magic to drop the temperature in this room as snow appear and began to swirl around the Occult Research Club Room. They starting to grew cold as they tried to cover themselves while shivering and Riser looked at Virgil with a glare.
"You honestly think I will stay quiet and watched you destroy this place? You've got another thing coming." Virgil said with a glare.
"You dare to speak to me like that, boy?" Riser questions.
"Oh I dare since you're the one who hides under that ladies skirt and couldn't get your hands dirty for fighting against me." Virgil retorts.
Everyone was surprised of his retaliation, but Riser tensed his glare.
"Why you!" Riser snarled.
"Enough, both of you." Grayfia said, cuts in. "I am hear by order of Sirzechs. Which means, there will be no disruption of peace."
Virgil backs down out of respect as he stops the snowstorm and apologizes to her, giving him a nod while Riser backs down.
"When told such an ominous thing by one who was known as 'The Ultimate Queen'. Even Riser can be somewhat fearful." Riser commented.
'He doesn't know the meaning of fear. Only because of his pride.' Virgil thought, not convinced.
"My Master anticipated there would be a conflict of some sort." Grayfia told the two. "As such, he has assigned me a last resort should the communication break-down."
"Yes, of course he did." Rias commented with her arms crossed. "Would you to be a little more specific?"
"If my lady insists on putting her personal preferences above those of her family. She is to settle this via 'A Rating Game' with Lord Riser." Grayfia explains.
"Wait, what's a Rating Game?" Issei asked confusingly, he felt familiar until he realized. "Oh yeah, Sona mention something like that before, didn't she?"
Virgil have already know of how the Rating Game works, thanks to Ravel which he listens without turning away.
"It's a game Noble Devils play with each other." Kiba explains. "Long story short, they and there servants compete in battle to determine who wins."
"Like the Chess thing?" Issei questions.
"Exactly, it's the reason we have individual powers that are inspired by what we call 'Evil Pieces.'" Akeno added. "In order to play the Rating Game."
"Okay that's good to know."
"Riser has played through numerous Rating Games and has scored several wins for himself." Riser said with an arrogant smirk. "Unfortunately, my inexperienced bride has never even qualified for an official game."
"He knows only mature Devils are allowed to participate. So, it's not as if she had much opportunity." Akeno told him.
"So, you're saying we're at a disadvantage?" Issei asked with shock.
"We've got more to worry about that." Koneko told him without looking. Virgil remained silent as he kept his attention to Riser who scanned over Rias' peerage. Asia got nervous and hid behind Virgil while Kuroka kept her attention to Riser with a glare.
"Rias, I have to ask." Riser looked at her. "Is this adorable group the extend of your servants? They're all you have?"
"All of them except me and Kuroka are her peerage if that answers your question." Virgil interrupts.
"He's right, all them except Virgil and Kuroka are my servants, why?" Rias asked with confirmation.
That Riser laughed heartily with a mockery as he snapped his fingers and the magic circle appeared before the flames erupts. Out of the fire stood a large group of girls that appeared to from young, pre-teen, and adult. Almost all of them were wearing a different outfits of their own.
"Riser has 15 pieces." Riser answered. "In other words, I have a complete set."
Virgil scanned the group of girls which he's not surprised that Riser was a playboy, but he noticed that four familiar servants among them.
"Xuelan, Siris, Yubelluna, Ravel." Virgil called each of their names and their heads peaked up upon hearing them. They were surprised to see him again and Riser noticed while glancing between them and Virgil. He was confused at first, but suddenly remembered and chuckled.
"Ah that's right, you four were with him that day." Riser said.
"Care to explain yourself!?" Virgil said with a dark tone. "But if you utter a lie, it'll be your last."
Riser was flinched that Virgil was threatening him as he smirked.
"Riser sent them only to observe you after I had a Familiar scout for me initially." Riser said with a smug. "They were taking too long to come back home, so Riser sent a Familiar to find them. Riser have found out about those monsters went on a rampage. I thought those beasts would kill you and if they killed one of Riser's servant's, it won't matter. Instead, you, my darling Rias, her servants, and Riser's servants have fought them in the end."
Virgil have got his answer which he was pretty mad that Riser would put his sister in danger. Ravel was shocked of hearing what her brother have told him.
"So you were content to have your servant's die even if your plans have failed and putting Ravel in danger." Virgil said with pure anger. "What kind of a brother are you that leaving your own sister in danger from the hands of the Cie'th?"
"How dare you!? It was only fitting for a King to make sure there servants remain strong." Riser answered with a glare. "And if Riser did nothing, it won't matter. But when they-"
"I'm gonna stop you right here!" Virgil interrupts with his tone. "You were suppose to lookout for your sister and not to put her in danger!? You don't even care about her well-being, all you care about was yourself and getting what you've wanted."
That got Riser glaring at him with anger.
"You dare insult me, Low-Born!?" Riser shouts. "You insult me for the second time with your words!? You do not know your place!"
"Save your threats, it's just empty words, brat!" Virgil retorts back. "You've got no right to have Ravel as your servant."
That got everyone shocked, especially Riser as he was startled of the outburst and got more irritated for being called a brat by Virgil as he used his flame magic to aim at the white-haired l'Cie, but noticed that Ravel was in front of him, defending Virgil.
"Ravel, move! Riser is going to incinerate this boy!" Riser ordered with irritation.
"No, I will not let you hurt him, Riser." Ravel refused. "Virgil saved me, Xuelan, Yubelluna, and Siris. You should at least be grateful for this."
"Riser was grateful until he disrespects Riser with his insults!"
"Oh get over yourself!" Virgil said with a glare. "You're the one who disrespect the most."
Riser tensed his anger as he was about to fire at him.
"Wateraga" Virgil used his water magic to extinguish the fire and having Riser wet, making him even more angry.
"Why did you do that?" Ravel asked.
"Because, he was about to fire at us." Virgil answered. "Also, you remind me of my cousin, Nora. Before I was enrolled here, I watched over my cousin since 9 years ago in Gran Pulse."
Ravel couldn't help but blushed a bit as Rias jumps in.
"Grayfia, tell Sirzechs that I accept this Rating Game." Rias told her, getting her a nod as Riser and Ravel headed towards their group. "Riser, believe me when I say 'We will annihilate you.'"
"I look forward to it, dear." Riser said. "Riser will see you at the game."
With that, Riser and his servants returns to the Underworld as the magic circle disappears while Virgil turned his attention to Grayfia.
"Grayfia, right?" Virgil called out. "Can I ask you a favor?"
"Of course." Grayfia agrees.
"Can you check if there's any loop in this Rating Game system that would allow any outsider to participate." Virgil informed her.
"I'll look into it, anything else?" Grayfia asked. Virgil shook his head.
"Ten days, I think we can all agree that's fair." She told Rias.
"You sure?"
"Considering your youth and lack of experience. And Lord Riser's prowess, I've decided that I assigned a handicap would be appropriate." Grayfia answered.
"As much as it pains me to admit it, I think you maybe right." Rias said with defeat. "Extra time to train would be very useful. For all of us, thanks I accept the offer."
With that, Grayfia heads back to the Underworld to inform Sirzechs. Virgil turned his attention to them.
"Kuroka and I were coming with you guys on your training trip. If that's the case whenever I help out in your match or not, but the best we can do is to help you out."
Rias and her peerage's eyes widen with surprise at the white-haired l'Cie.
"Thank you, Virgil." Rias thanked him. "But why are you doing this for us?"
"Let's just say that I don't agree with the forced marriage." Virgil answered. "Plus, Riser have rubbed me the wrong way and being a bad brother to Ravel. I just want to personally beat his ass and knock some senses into him."
Rias then smile as she gave him a nod.
"I'm gonna let my family know about what's going on and see if they can help us." Virgil told them.
"You don't mean?"
"Yeah, you're about to meet my family." Virgil told them with a smile.
