Until I Bleed Out

"He has my power, you think I'm going to let him keep it?"

"And you intend on getting it back? How?"

"I have my ways."

"I do not like this, sir, but I'll support it. I do not see him fit."

"Good. He shall die, just like the rest of his friends."

Percy walked with Aydn and his father through the camp they'd set up, inspecting everything, and nodding respects to his soldiers.

"We're looking mighty fine, aren't we?" He said. Aydn nodded.

"We're ready to go, on your word." Aydn stated.

"Soon, General. I sense the armies of Night are approaching a state of ability to demand war with us." Percy said, nodding to Aydn. "And father?" Order's eyes snapped to Percy. "How's the kid?"

"Alexander is doing fine. Adapting well, but hasn't woken up yet, about two days overdue. Nothing worrying. I assume he wakes before dawn tomorrow." Order said confidently.

"Good. Once he's awake we'll train him. New powers and all."

"I don't want to fight, Cameron." said Sarah, a daughter of Ares.

"It's unwarlike of you to not want to fight. Father would be disappointing." said her brother, Cameron, mid-slash on a dummy. Sarah sighed.

"But what if we have to kill demigods? I don't want to kill demigods. They're just misunderstood." She said, fiddling with her dagger.

"Maybe you should go into politics then, pacifist." Cameron growled.

They'd grown up homeless, and only recently had gotten to the camp, and Cameron had always set his mind on making their father proud, despite him never being there for the either of them. Their mother left them very young, and Cameron had taken care of her, and in her eyes, was the only reason she was alive today. Sarah looked up, and Cameron sat down next to her.

"Don't worry. The gods are looking after us, sis." He said, smiling down at her. She smiled back.

"Dad will make sure nothing happens to us. I promise you." he said, and kissed the top of her head.

She prayed he was right.

"There's more to this war than just you, Perseus." Order said, as they stood in a penthouse in the Burj Khalifa

"I know." Percy said, waving off a worker at the tower. Order smiled at his son.

"Your mother would be proud of you." Percy stiffened. "Don't have that reaction."

"You've never told me how she died."

"Yes I have. The Beast race took her and slaughtered her. I couldn't do anything." Order sighed. "How do you not remember? You made the Beast race go extinct, and decimated half of the Capitol with your power."

Percy did remember.

flashback

Percy appeared in a field 5 miles north of Haala, with a certain army behind him. His eyes remained shock open, unmoving.

"Boss?" Aydn asked. Percy turned to him, before turning to the three hundred behind him.

"Kill every single Beast you see. I want them all DEAD! Leave the King for me! I'll make him PAY for his crimes! Kill every straggler! I want all of their heads!" Percy roared, and the army screamed agreement, no question.

"We have won the war, but these fools continue to disgrace the legacies and power of ORDER!" Percy screamed, but the army cried back.

His eyes turned pitch black. His axe appeared from the ground. His signature, with the Greek alphabet engraved in the blade.

"CHARGE!" He screamed, and he ran, and the army followed. In running, he grew to fifteen meters tall, shirtless, and his body was so large you could see each muscle ripple with the movement. His axe grew to mirror his size. His hair remained short, and wind-blown, but the eyes…

Black orbs of pure power.

Somebody was going to die today.

Percy blinked, and his father was still sitting across him, eyebrow raised.

"Remembering Haala?" Percy nodded. "They deserved it, you know." Percy's eyebrows raised.

"I agree."

"Percy, never be ashamed of your true form, the Quasar. It's what you're supposed to become. You've seen mine, Chaos's, now never, and I mean never, fear yours." Order said, sitting up, staring at his son. Percy nodded, smiling at his father.

"Your mother would be so proud of you, and I mean that."

Alex walked with his newfound leader, across the castle walls in the void.

"Have you learned of the elements of the void yet, Alexander?" Percy asked his disciple. Alex shook his head.

"No, sir."

"Destruction and Regeneracy. Destruction lives within us, Regeneracy in the void. This place, heals all. If you respect and worship it, it'll do bounds for you. More than I could ever do for you." Percy said. "Destruction is used within our powers, summoning raw power from the void to cast upon our enemies. The sole reason we're reigning as the strongest army in the world. Nobody dare test us." Alex continued to look up at Percy. "I do not know the power of the void, the reason I keep our army so small. And I for one, do not want to test the bounds of the void." Percy sighed.

"I have no doubt you'll live long and great, Alex. I'll teach you all I know."

"I appreciate such praise, sir." Percy shook his head.

"Just Percy."

Alex nodded.

"Annabeth is calling for me… I must go." Percy said, nodding to Alex. "Go, get to know some of your peers. They're amazing people." Percy smiled.

"Why do you lie to him?"

"To save you, sister."

"Why would you do such things?"

"If he knew of the truth, he'd fade you in an instant. I do not want that to happen!"

"He'll learn eventually. All of that power, yet the knowledge will hit him… very soon. I don't see the point in hiding such things."

"He cannot know of our deception. If he does, he'd do…. Unspeakable things, sister."

Percy was working outside the castle, overlooking the raising of the southern wall, when he was tapped on the shoulder.

"Who da-"

He caught himself. Behind him was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Blonde hair cascaded from her head to her shoulders, gray eyes staring into his soul.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"Annabeth. I'm a direct descendant from Chaos herself." Annabeth said nicely, but firm, almost like a war leader.

"Perseus. The only son of Order, at your service." He said, kneeling, and kissing her hand. She blushed.

"I just came from Chaos's domain to see what was happening. I'm really into architecture, and I heard you guys were expanding your castle."

"Yes. Wind has brought rumors that there will be a war soon… We're just taking precautions." He smiled down at her, and she didn't meet his eyes, cheeks pink.

"How old are you?" He asked.

"Fifteen. And you?" she smiled up at him.

"Fifteen. Look at the odds." He smirked, and her heart melted.

She wrote to him every day during the war, they were best friends before he was sent into actions by his father. She liked him a lot, romantically… and even thought she loved him. She felt willing to spend her whole life with him. She missed him.

An arm on her shoulder tore her from her thoughts, and she looked over her shoulder to see her mother. She quickly scrambled to hide her journal and notes, mid-writing period.

"You do miss him." Chaos said. Annabeth blushed, hiding her face.

"No I don't."

"Yes, I don't miss my best friend who I write to every day, and I keep diary entries about."

"It's not a diary!" She defended, but knew it was useless. Chaos smiled.

"We all have stages of infatuation, Annabeth. And if you happen to fall in love with young Perseus…" Chaos looked to the skies, "I'd approve a relationship between Chaos and Order." Annabeth beamed, but sighed.

"He wants me to come with him to meet his mother" Chaos noticeably grimaced. "after the war… you know. Thinks I'd love her… that we'd get along great. I think I love him." Annabeth whispered. Chaos recovered, smiling at her daughter.

"I knew his mother once, and I think you'd love her as well." Annabeth gasped.

A 25 year old Percy strolled into the castle, calling out.

"Mother! Father! We've defeated the Yotherian Armies! We've won!" He called out, to no response. He ran to his father's bedroom, where he found his dad knelt at the side of the bed, sobbing.

"Father! What's wrong?" He said, running to his dad. Order's eyes opened wide when he saw Percy.

"What are you doing here? You have a war to fight!" His dad scolded, still crying.

"We won… We've captured the Trident… it's all…" Percy turned, and Chaos walked out of the bathroom.

"What are you doing here?" Percy asked, confused. "Father?"

"Percy… last night… I wasn't home… and they-" He sobbed again. "They took your mother!" Percy's heart froze cold, and the temperature in the room dropped.

"I couldn't protect her… I'm so sorry!" Order sobbed, standing to hug his son. Percy's eyes remained wide, fixed on the ground before him.

"Dead?" he whispered.

"Percy! Calm down! Your aura… it's growing!" Chaos cried, running to Percy, clawing at his chest.

He threw her off him, and his shirt stayed in her hands.

Emerging from his legs, a black tattoo rippled up his chest, and through his neck, circling around his eye. His hair blew up, as if he was standing on a jet turbine, and air was blowing up. He stared his father in the eyes.

"Why didn't you save her?" The wind was loud, very loud, but his voice was clear as day. Order shook his head.

"I wasn't aware… I couldn't see her." Order whispered. Percy's hand flew to Order's throat, choking him. He felt someone trying to interfere, and his eyes flicked to his right, where Chaos stood, attempting to shoot tendrils of power at him. His right hand shot out, and he choked her as well.

"YOU COULD'VE SAVED HER!" He screamed, staring Order in the eyes. Percy's eyes were pitch black. Order realized.

He's taking his true form, for the first time. He'd never been able to do it before, but now… It was here. The most powerful form in the universe, it was destined to be. More powerful than Order and Chaos's combined.

The grip tightened on Order's throat, and Order's eyes remained wide, staring into his son's.

I love you. Order mouthed. Percy recognized it, growled, and tightened the grip on his father's throat.

"Percy! Stop this madness!" Someone said from the door. Percy's head turned, ready to fade whoever dare interrupt him.

Annabeth.

Everything stopped. Chaos and Order dropped, and Chaos coughed, but nothing came from the body of Order.

"You're disrupting the evenness in the realms! The universe is in chaos right now! Stop it!" Annabeth yelled at Percy.

Shame flooded through Percy's body, thinking that Annabeth saw him as a freak. His eyes stared into hers, and the two souls connected for a brief moment, two lives completely intertwined, inter dimensional hand-holding, and Percy's soul kissed her, and his physical form jerked back, before shaking his head, and teleporting away.

Annabeth ran to her mother, before looking over at the lifeless body of Order.

"He'll reform, but…" Chaos muttered. "It should be impossible to kill him here. The void protects him… unless Percy overpowered the void, but that's impossible. Not even I can overpower it." Chaos whispered.

Annabeth looked to the skies.

Wherever you are, I love you, Perseus.

Annabeth didn't see Percy for nearly a month after the events of what happened, and from what Annabeth heard, he'd assumed control over the Kingdom of Order because of what he did to his father.

She wrote to him every day, and was promised by one of Percy's closest friends he's received each and every letter.

"I don't know about your crush on him, Annabeth." Chaos muttered. They were out, at a restaurant on a newly civilized planet, Earth.

"Why? Just a few months ago you approved of it." Annabeth said, waving off the waiter, who gave her a generous stare. She glared at him.

"What he did on that day… I don't know how much he can control it." Chaos said, looking at her nails. Annabeth gasped.

"You're- You're afraid of his power?" She said. Chaos sighed.

"Yes. I am. I am afraid his power, combined with yours, will be able to destroy the universe." Chaos said, meeting Annabeth's eyes.

"Our souls touched that day." Annabeth whispered. Chaos's eyes widened. "I kissed him, in that state. I'd only heard rumors of the soulmate state, but is that truly what that was?" Annabeth said, looking at her mother. Chaos was surprised beyond belief.

"It is. I have never experienced it, and am fairly jealous you have experienced it before me. I have been told it is like ecstasy, never ending love between you and your partner. An eternal connection, that could never be severed."

Annabeth was in her study when a knock came at her door. She frowned. Her mother was off on another planet, dealing with political issues, disguising as a world leader, George Washington she said. She had no idea who that was.

She opened the door, and stood before her was Perseus. He sighed, looking at his feet.

"I appreciate your letters." He whispered. Annabeth regained the ability to do anything, and welcomed him into her study. He grabbed a chair and on the opposite side of her desk.

"I'm sorry for not visiting, despite my oaths. I had other issues to deal with."

"You killed him, Perseus." Annabeth whispered. Percy growled.

"I lost control. He deserved it. The blood of my mother is on his fault." He said. Annabeth couldn't disagree. It looked bad for Order.

Percy's hands caught his head, and he started crying.

"I can't believe she's dead…" He whispered, and Annabeth ushered him to the bed, where they sat on the side, side by side. Her arm wrapped around his shoulders.

"I never got to meet her, but I'm sure she was the best woman to ever live." Annabeth whispered. "She loves you, and is proud of you, Perseus." Percy continued sobbing.

"I'm such a failure. If only I didn't take my time with the commanders… I could've saved her." He said, sniffling his nose.

"I don't even know who killed her… I can't get revenge. I want to erase whoever killed her from the universe, from history. I swear it to you." He whispered. Annabeth's eyes widened.
"That's a very hefty promise, Percy." She only used that name for him when they were in a really intimate time, and this deemed worthy.

"I'll fulfill it, Until I Bleed Out." he whispered, looking up into her eyes. The man who she's basically gone through the most important times of her life with. They were both twenty five now. They stared at one another, not breaking eye contact.

"I don't know how to say this, Annabeth." He started, not breaking eye contact. She felt her soul reaching out again, like it did in the bedroom, searching for his.

"I've never met someone like you. I never want to do anything but spend time with you. Those three years, with the war… where I couldn't see you… were hell. I never want to go through it again." He whispered, and her heartbeat rose, and rose, and her cheeks heated up.

"I feel the same way, Percy." she whispered.

And her soul felt his. They touched hands.

Percy leaned forward, catching her lips on his. Kissing her was something godsent. No other feeling even came close. It was so much better in real life. It was both of theirs first kiss.

Their souls felt one another, and they felt one another in the real world. Her hands searched his body, tearing off his shirt. His body looked nice, but felt so amazing.

His hands remained idly patient on her hips. His mouth went from her lips to her neck. She moaned.

"Go up…" she growled into his ear, guiding his hands up.

Their bond was completed for the first time, their souls combining for one night. Their first night together, and despite the times Percy was in, he'd never felt better.
