Warehouse 93 huh? That was where we were going. Just me, Jon, and Raven who happened to come with us, much to Jon's dismay. "You really didn't need to come. I think we got it under control." said Jon.
"I'm going because all this is very interesting. I'd rather be with you two than be alone in my room reading my books." said Raven.
Jon smiled nervously, but I spoke out loud. "With Raven with us, Red Hood won't stand a chance." I said.
"Just because I'm with you two doesn't guarentee victory friends." said Raven.
"You see! Raven knows something bad is going to happen!" cried Jon.
"Stop being negative you two." I said.
"Negative?! I'm the last person to be nagative!" cried out Jon.
"Baby Jesus, if you don't mind me saying. Please be quiet. We are approuching the warehouse." said Raven.
"How dare you speak to me like that!" said Jon in a fierce whisper. I had no idea Jon had that sense of self entitlement. He was humble at times, but I think being Superman's son get's in a little over his head.
"Quiet you two!" I whispered fiercly. We were hiding behind some boxes outside the warehouse. Everything was quiet. Perhaps too quiet. And I had a feeling that the Red Hood was expecting someone to stop him. I knew that cliche all too well.
"So what now?" whispered Jon.
"Red Hood is setting up a trap. Not for us. Someone else is coming." said Raven.
"I bet it's my father." I told them.
"Uncle Brucey?" asked Jon.
Just then, a motorcycle was heard from the distance and we both hid in the darkness. Raven manipulated the shadows to make us seem almost invisible. We then watched as a lonely motorcyclist arrived at the warehouse. Coming outside was the Red Hood himself. Jason. The person in the motorcycle removed his helmet. He was a teenage boy about 16. He was sweating bullets and he grabbed a box from behind the motorcycle.
"Your late." said Red Hood.
"I got sidetracked. Here's your order." said the boy handing the box to the Red Hood. Jason opened the box and pulled it from the boy. "Good, very good." he said mumbling to himself.
"Can I go now?" asked the boy.
"Not yet. I still have chores for you to do." said the Red Hood.
"But... I have to get home! My mom... she'll be worried if I don't come home." pleaded the boy, almost to his knees. Jason turned around to face the boy and pulled his hair to look at him.
"If you don't continue doing this, I will leak your video to the web, and all will know of what you've done." said Jason.
"Please! Have mercy!" cried the boy.
"I know no mercy. All I know is vengance, and violence. You on the other hand know one thing. Sex! So either you do this next chore, or you dear mommy will see what a bad boy you've been while surfing the web. Great, now your making me sound like as stupid anti drug PSA. Get out of here before I put you out of your pathetic little life." said the Red Hood.
The boy then did something. He began to pee his pants. The Red Hood let him go and walked backwards. "Disgusting filth!" he cried out. The boy fell on the floor humiliated and began to cry. I felt awful looking at this. The boy may have done something very innapropriate, but it was very cruel the way the Red Hood was treating him. I felt obligated to do something. I grabbed one of my knives to throw at Red Hood when Raven placed her hand on my shoulder.
"No. You do this, the boy will die. He will use him as a hostage." said Raven.
"Are you serious? He's going to shoot him anyway." I said.
Just then, we heard laughter. A vicious and unhealthy laughter. The boy looked up and cried even more. The Red Hood turned around and grabbed his guns. "Where are you!? Show yourself bastard!" cried the Red Hood.
"My my little red bird? Is that anyway to treat an old friend?" asked the sinister Joker, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He too was hiding behind some crates outside the warehouse. The three of us were looking at eachother in confusion, hoping this man didn't sense our presence. If he is a man to begin with. I always considered the Joker an animal than a human.
The Red Hood fired his guns and the Joker shileded himself with a policemen's riot shield. Only his was decorated with weird floral patterns.
"Put your sheild down and face me!" screamed Jason.
"Now now Robin. I'm only here to see what it is you have to stop me. Is it a super weapon of some kind? Or are you just doing what Batman has always been afraid of doing? Killing?" teased the Joker.
"My goal is to blow your head off from your miserable corpse like body. After you die, Gotham will be mine to control." said the Red Hood.
"Like a holy knight in shining armor? You realize Batman will come after you should you bury me with the maggots." said Joker.
"Let him come. I'll do away with him just like I'm going to do away with you." declared the Red Hood as he began to fire more bullets. Joker ran around the field like some prancing jackrabbit, still holding his shield. The Red Hood then blew out a whistle, and a few thugs with painted red faces appeared out of nowhere, with their own guns and they began to fire at the Joker. One would think he would die right there. No. He actually dodged them by shielding himself with his shield, then he threw a grenade on the floor.
"Time for me to go kiddies. Remember to always smile in these rough times! Tootles! And may the force be... or was it peace and long life? Whatever, I don't watch cartoon network or whatever you kids call it these days." Joker then ran towards the boy's motorcycle and began to laugh like a maniac. The Red Hood then screamed at his men.
"Everyone clear out! This grenade has Joker venom! Once you laugh, you'll all end up being fitted for halos!" cried the Red Hood. Everyone cleared out, even the boy who managed to get up weakly.
Raven then pulled her hand out while Jon and I watched in amazement. "Azarath Metrion Zynthos!" she cried out.
A portal opened, and the three of us fell through. Within an instant, we were now in Raven's bedroom in Titan Tower. Raven closed the portal and she fell on her bed.
"Goodness. I haven't done this sort of thing for a while." she said.
"That skinny dude was the Joker? He didn't look that dangerous." said Jon.
"Are you kidding. He's the worst criminal Gotham has. He's downright evil." I said.
"But what about the Red Hood? He's more evil than Joker." saidd Jon.
I nodded. But I had to slightly disagree on some level. But I did see Jon's point. Jason was dangerous. Much more so than the last time I saw him. He threatened that boy the way he would a criminal. I was sick to my stomach.
"Now that you have seen what Red Hood is capable of, and now you know where he hides, what shall you do Damian?" asked Raven.
"I have to tell my family. They will know what to do." I said.
"Joker shot my Dad. I have to stop him too." said Jon.
"That reminds me... how is your dad doing? I didn't ask you at all." I told Jon.
"I spoke to him last night. He's doing a little better. He's performing tests to see if the Kryptonite in his body is gone." said Jon.
I smiled knowing this was good news. "Well that's good." I said to Jon.
