After some minutes bureau's landline rang

All the officers present in bureau surrounded the table.

Abhijeet signaled Freddy to cut the call and Freddy did as directed
After the call Abhijeet with Sachin and Freddy move towards interrogation room leaving Purvi and Vivek behind.
After interrogating the person three of them came out. Freddy was looking somewhat relax as if they got some important clue regarding this case.
Soon they heard security guard informing them about the arrival of their unwanted guests, the media persons

Reaching the bureau Daya once again checked his cell phone
but to his disappointment there was no miscall or message from the desired number, owner of that number didn't even bother to give a compliment to him when he gave the information.
In these years many times they face the time when they were not talking to each other but still didn't stop to giving a compliment on each other's success or small achievements
So, repeating his decision of working under the supervision of Abhijeet once again only as an officer, he untie his seatbelt and got down from the car
He was thinking to move on when heard a commotion from upstairs. He climb the last step and saw some people with hand mikes and cameras asking, no in fact interrogating and Abhijeet answering their questions with Vivek silently standing at one side. Rajat was also standing silently, but behind the press people looking out of place. Daya heard one of the press people asking Abhijeet
To sir…aap kia kehna chahein ge…aap log is case ko apne sentiments se deal kar rahey hain…ya ye case bhi baqi normal cases ki tarha hai aap logon ke liye….
Abhijeet started in a confident tone
Dekhiye…hum har case dil se hi deal kartey hain…haan...dimagh se bhi kartey hain….ya yun keh lije…ke dimagh ka kaam zada hai…lekin agar dil se na karein to na hum case solve kar paein ge…or na hi victim or us ki family ke sath sympathy kar paein ge…
One of them asked
To kia hum ye maan lein…ke…ACP sir jab tak they…bas ap ke liye bhi bas tabhi tak they…or ab wo bhi baki cases ki tarha bas aik case…
Before Abhijeet can answer anything to them, they heard a voice from behind
Aap log…case ki progress janney aye hain ya humein interrogate kaney…
All the cameras turned towards the speaker. There they saw senior inspector Daya standing with ready to eat expressions on his face
He continued in a same tone
ACP sir…humere sirf senior ya boss nahi they…wo mentor they humarey…guru they…un ki maut humare liye…kabhie bhi case nahi ban sakti…
Ignoring Abhijeet's hard looks Daya further said
Hum logon ke liye ye aik aisa loss hai…jis ki bharpayi nahi ho sakti kabhie bhi…
One of the journalist asked
We can understand that sir…but sir…me ye poochna chahun ga…k is case mein to Senior Inspector Abhijeet team ko lead kar rahey hain…lekin in future…CID ki command kis ke hath mein jaye gi…aap ya Abhijeet sir?
Dekhiye mere pass ye sab sochney ka time nahi hai…mujhe bas ACP sir ko insaaf

Now Abhijeet turned to Daya and move to ACP's cabin signaling him to follow
Coming inside the cabin Abhijeet looked at Daya with

But a deadly tone stopped him

Daya who was looking at ACP sir's chair silently looked at Abhijeet with red eyes but found an unreadable expression so turn down his eyes.
Freddy and Vivek came there to ask something stopped at the door and heard Abhijeet as

Daya looked at Abhijeet for a second tried to say something but shook his head to himself
Mujhper itna biswas rakh lete Abhi, mein bas yea kehta ki humne suspects ko uthake interrogate bhi kiya, jitne log chemical terrorism ki sath kaam kerte hey sab gang se suspect utha rahe hum..mein bhi itne saal se CID mey hu boss..mujhe bhi itna to pata hi hey
then said aloud
I'm sorry sir…
Abhijeet let out a sigh and said irritated: huh..sorry…
Then said: tumhe sari information mail kar di gayi hai…us ko dehaan se dekh lena…

Abhijeet pressed his teeth but didn't say anything and Daya left the cabin, he thought it's better not to explain himself to this stranger

After a long tiring day in bureau at late evening, Abhijeet ordered every to move back home
Daya didn't ask anything but silently kept the quills key on Abhijeet's Desk and move out.
Abhijeet was about to ask something but stopped himself and continued writing the file. Freddy and Vivek looked at each other but Freddy shook his head in no to something which Vivek asked through his eyes. So, Vivek silently started packing his belongings. Purvi didn't say or ask anything. Rajat tried to be the brave one and asked
Sir…aap ghar nahi jaein ge?
ye raid ka plan jo banaya hai…wo aik baar final karna hey
And he again got busy in his work. Rajat looked at others for encouragement then asked bit hesitatingly
Sir…aaj interrogation room mein jo kuch bhi hua…wo sab..pata chala mujhe..
Abhijeet looked up with a scowl, question evident- he wants to know the spy in bureau but didn't asked
Rajat looked at him meaningfully, Abhijeet hide his eyes, Rajat continued
Sir per agar wo doctor apni zubaan khol de to Daya sir…
Abhijeet replied quiet irritated
Han to? Jis ne ye kaand kiya us ko tension leni chahiye na..hum kiun lein?
Rajat looked at Abhijeet with disappointed look and said
Bye sir…
And all others too left one by one
Abhijeet looked at the empty bureau and sighed, leaned back on the chair and closed his eyes for few seconds then concentrated back on his work

After reaching home by the cab Daya packed his necessary belongings in one bag and one suitcase and moved out from his room. He was about to open the main lock when remembered something

He moved back to his room opened his cupboard again and pulled something out in between the pile of shoes
He was arranging his shoe corner when heard a voice full of amazement
Wese ye cleaning hour kis khushi mein manaya jar aha hai…
Wo…aise hi…bas zara puraney jootey or kaprey nikaal raha tha…taakey naye le…
And he looked at the other one with puppy eyes
Me bata raha hun Daya…me yehi jootey utha ke sar per marun ga tere…
Other one saw Daya hiding something by putting the shoes over one another in an odd manner. He snatched the shoe from him with
Dikha….kia chupa raha hai…dikha…
Days made a face but choose to be silent
Abhijeet saw something and said in exasperation
Had ho gayee wese…cheque book or credit card na hua…koi khazana ho gaya…jo aise chupa k rakha hai…
Haan…treasure hi to hai…
Wese…sahab ko…sign karna to yaad hai na cheque per…or card ka code to yaad hai na….kyun ke dono cheezein…rarely hi use hoti hain
He pat his head with
Dhat tere ki….such mein yaad nahi hai code…
Haan…haan…kyun ho ga yaad…use kartey ho to yaad rakho ge na….me bata raha hun…apney card ka pin code change karwa lun ga me…or bataun gab hi nahi…
He smiled harshly
It's not that he was totally or even partially dependent on him but his only part is to just handover his contributions.
Even his savings, mutual funds all are maintained by Abhijeet
Daya doesn't even remember when was the last time he have to take full responsibilities of household, even wen he have to perform some work, he was given clear plain instruction on how where when what..actually many years back his elder one took the burden of household from him.

He shook his head again and moved out from the room and left the house after putting the sticky note on the main door stating take the extra set from the place
he knows Abhijeet will understand that which place he is referring so didn't make it obvious and move towards the cab which is already waiting for him
