Hello all! so a few days later than wanted to post this, but two reasons why this chapter came out later than the others was due to for whatever reason Fanfiction is screwing up on the main website so you have to read new chapters on their app and it works? Not sure how that works. The second reason was mostly editing and making sure everything flowed correctly, which I hope it did. If not, call me out on it. It only helps me improve :D
Anyway, here's a new chapter that's going to be leading to a couple of chapters of character building before we get to the real meaty event... USJ. and OH BOY will that be a doozy. (at least I hope so)
So some slight angst and some hints to something about Naoki's quirk that affects him that he seems to try and hide, but of course fails. And yes, adding more to his repertoire of monsters.
also, I am ending the poll earlier, and the winner is BOTH! with 6 votes *confetti*

Chapter 11
"Getting Reacquainted"
The school bell rang loudly much to the enjoyment of the students of Class 1-A, signifying the end of their current class of English with Present Mic. Kyoka was one of the people most happy about this as while Present Mic was an excellent teacher when it came to the foreign language, he was still overusing his quirk to project his voice which didn't help the earphone jack student. She thanked the various gods that she was pretty good with English due to her music obsession and hobby so she could tune out most of the lesson to avoid the man bursting her eardrums.
As she and the rest of her class were making their way towards the lunchroom, run by the chef hero "Lunchrush", her thoughts went towards the other music-obsessed hero in training as Naoki talked with Izuku and Tenya about various things like the most recently finished class. Tenya had asked both of the boys if they could set up a study session between the three during the upcoming weekend as he was having difficulties with that particular subject and Naoki agreed if the blue-haired boy would help him with the math assignment from earlier that day.
"Thank you for this opportunity, Gensou-kun! I will admit that my lack of knowledge when it comes to English is shameful for a hero, I am more than happy to help when it comes to arithmetic!" announced Tenya, his hand in the hair about to do the robotic arm wave he was now known for over the last few days.
"It's fine, Ilda… I'm not the absolute best when it comes to English myself, but I can give you a few tips when it comes to it," spoke Naoki as he stretched and yawned, his tail flexing up his back before coiling around his waist again, "I was shocked about the math assignment that Ectoplasm-sensei handed out though, granted I expected it to be hard since this is high school and all, and we are in the hero course… but this seems almost college-level stuff."
"It is a big jump for sure…" spoke Izuku as he was thinking and listening to his two friends, "But given how often heroes forego college to get a start on their careers, it's fair to say that by teaching us at that level, while also having the patience and attention of a teacher in smaller class sizes would benefit us more." said the green-haired boy as Naoki sighed at his friend already starting to go into "analyze mode".
"Say's the guy who got a hundred percent on every math test since we were in elementary." quipped the devil boy, causing Izuku to blush and rubbed the back of his head gently with a chuckle. Tenya thought on this for a moment, then looked to the shorter blushing boy before turning his attention to the blue-skinned boy.
"It is amazing you were able to accomplish that Midoriya, but considering how close you two are, why didn't he help you study?"
"Two reasons…" Naoki said, holding his fist up and raised his index finger, "First, while Izuku is smart, he mumbles and mutters when he tries to explain things… it's fine when it's simple addition and multiplication and the like, but advanced stuff? It's like getting slammed in the head by a wall made up of words." He kept his smug smirk as Izuku sputtered out words trying to defend himself as Naoki raised his second finger, "The second reason is that he often got too distracted when his phone would beep with the latest hero news." He finished giving a deadpanned look to his best friend who sulked and sighed, followed by Tenya reprimanding Izuku for losing his focus when he should have been helping Naoki during those times. Kyoka smirked to herself watching and listening to the three before she felt someone grab her shoulders, causing her to squeak and then scowl as she turned around to the one who spooked her, waving her jacks menacingly at the perpetrator.
"Toru! What the heck?"
Said invisible girl was giggling gently as she moved behind Mina to protect her, causing the pink-skinned girl to huff, "You weren't answering us and we kept calling your name, I thought you had a super hearing aspect or something? Oh, wait!… were you listening in on something? Any juicy gossip?" asked the alien girl with a big smile, leaning close to Kyoka who blushed and looked away.
"Nothing like that... just overheard Gensou, Ilda, and Mirodiya talk about helping each other with homework over the weekend."
"Oof.. yea no thanks… at least for now. I'd be fine for Genny to help with me with English given that song he sang on Sunday." She said with a finger on her chin, thinking about how great Naoki looked without his shirt as he sang the very… interesting song. Mina was beaming to herself for a few moments before snapping out of her thoughts and looked to Kyoka, "Hey Kyoka, your super into music too, right?"
The purple-haired girl gave her a deadpanned look that just screamed 'are you serious' before sighing and rubbing the bridge of her nose and sarcastically answered her, "Yes Mina, I am super into music as you say, not like I don't have guitars and various other musical instruments adorning my dorm walls or anything."
"Alright... Alright… Sorry…" Mina said while raising her hands in surrender, causing Kyoka to calmly sigh.
"No, I'm sorry… didn't mean to bite your head off, what did you wanna know?"
"Well, remember when we did the dorm room viewings to get to know each other better?" asked Mina as Kyoka looked at her for a few moments in silence. Oh, she remembered alright… it was right after coming back from classes on Monday that the girls' plan to help Gensou and Midoriya socialize better had begun. Initially, it was disguised as a way to find out what were the two boy's interests to help them better understand and plan future events for them, but also it allowed everyone in the class to better acquaint themselves as well, a win-win according to Momo.
Midoriya's room was your stereotypical hero otaku room, with a big emphasis on All Might merchandise, something that embarrassed the boy to great effect when it was revealed by Gensou that this wasn't even his full collection and had to leave most of it at his home. Though not everything in the room was hero merch. On his desk were volumes upon volumes of notebooks with each title reading something along the lines of "Hero Analysis for the Future '', one particular book looked to have burned edges though it seemed to be encased in glass and hanging on the wall. When asked by Kirishima as to why that one was hanging up, the green-haired boy was stuttering and blushing up a storm before answering that it contained an autograph of All Might before getting into UA.
Gensou's room on the other hand looked almost similar to her own, though instead of the myriad of instruments on the walls were band posters and one lone guitar on a stand that shared the same color as the boy in question, plus it looked custom made and designed, which made Kyoka extremely jealous over and she had asked that they have a "jam session" to figure out who the better player was. He didn't take to it quickly before Midoriya had pointed out that she may be the challenge he needed to fulfill his goals as a hero, so he took the challenge, though to have it sometime after school had settled down, which she agreed to. Kyoka stopped her trip down memory lane to answer Mina's question, "Yea I remember, what's up?"
"Well, all those posters of that one band called 'Night Terrors" with the big Oni looking guy on them… what do you know about them?" asked Mina as the group of three girls walked into the cafeteria.
"Hmm…" started Kyoka thinking for a moment, "They are a metal band that travels all over the world, not much is known about where they started though there was speculation they started in Japan, which is interesting due to the big Oni looking guy you mentioned."
"Why is that?" asked Toru from behind the rocker girl, Mina was in front of the three in the lunch line but was listening.
"He's a foreigner…" she said thinking back to what she could remember about that one band member, "I think he was from Canada, and he is a registered hero named "Abomidible" or something… Midoriya or Gensou would probably know I think," she said as she rubbed her chin, "Anyway, not much else is known about him outside of him being a rescue or support hero for emergencies so he could still be the lead singer and guitarist for the band."
"Wait, all he does is tour and hero work?... huh... Must be a lonely life..." said Mina looking a little sad as she thought about that, though that flipped a one-eighty when Lunchrush plopped a big fresh and juicy steak on her plate, which she licked her lips at from the delicious aroma it was giving off.
"I mean, he could also keep his life outside of the concerts and work privately to avoid the fans stalking his home and that, it makes sense in that case," continued Kyoka, "As for the band itself, while they have produced a few original hits that did well on record charts, they are primarily known for covering old metal songs from bands long ago in the past… some of their best covers are pre-quirk era songs like the one Gensou sang last weekend, which yes, I did hear by the way." She said as a steak was placed on her plate.
"Huh… wonder why they do that?" asked Mina as she headed to a table not too far from the rest of their class, her yellow irises spotting the three boys from earlier sitting at one table with Tsuyu, Ochaco, Kinoko, and a couple of the girls from Class 1-B, said mushroom girl was sitting right beside Naoki… causing both teens to blush up a storm as they tried to make small conversation and ignore the playful smirks from Setsuna and Ochaco. Mina couldn't help but smile at her two friends being so adorable together that she wished she could be right there and join them, perhaps also helping Setsuna tease the two playfully. Her thoughts were interrupted when Kyoka spoke again after taking a bite of her steak.
"If I remember correctly, it's to "preserve the past so future fans can experience the foundations of Heavy Metal itself." or something… All I know is that while they cover the songs with the way their band plays, then they also release a second disc along with it that contains the original songs so people can enjoy them. That song, "Poison", the way he sang it was similar to how it originally was sung back in the day because the Night Terror's version is heavier on the bass…" The rocker girl took another small mouthful of steak and gave off a happy squeal from how tasty it was.
"You think Genny idolizes the lead singer like Midori does All Might?" asked Mina who had finished her steak, wiping her lips with the napkin before tossing it onto the plate lightly. Kyoka had raised an eyebrow at her while Toru was finishing off her meal.
"I mean it's possible… given how many of those posters were of the Night Terrors, and it would make sense since the lead singer has similar looks to Gensou."
"Oh, yea! I noticed that too- uh oh…" Toru spoke up, causing the two other girls to look at her, "Looks like that Monoma guy is back…"
As the three girls looked back towards the small group of their friends and classmates, sure enough, there was one of the cocky blondes of Class 1-B, Neito Monoma with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face, "Well Well if it isn't Class 1-A, still thinking they are too good to go to orientation and starting their hero studies before us?" he said with his usual condescending tone of voice, which was starting to become a daily thing since the first time the two classes met at lunch earlier that week. Many at the table were frowning at the boy when Kendo rose from her seat to glare at her classmate.
"That's enough, Monoma! You know that it was their homeroom teacher that decided that! Vlad-Sensei told us how they can teach the classes how they want."
"Yes, I remember Kendo, but still doesn't mean that they should have the head start, after all…" smiled the copy-quirk boy with a sort of devious look to it, walking around the group and placing his hand suddenly on Naoki's shoulder, "Word through the grapevine is that two students have already been expelled from their class, one for not 'making the cut'… and the other, well… a soon to be criminal that was scared into confessing by another student acting villainous himself… right, Gensou-kun?" He patted the devil's boy shoulder a couple of times to emphasize his point, which only earned him a swift chop to the head by an enlarged hand from Kendo.
"I am SO sorry about that everyone! We will take him out of here before he starts another fight… the last thing we need is another lecture from Vlad-Sensei." She said while picking up the knocked out boy with Setsuna helping her, Kinoko was only looking at Naoki as he had his eyes downcast to his plate and said nothing. There were a few moments of silence before Kinoko got out of her seat and bowed before the group and rushed off to catch up with her classmates, leaving Naoki to exhale from the breath he had been holding in without knowing. At this point, Mina, Kyoka, and Toru had joined the table.
"Ugh, what a jerk!" exclaimed Mina as she sat beside Naoki who still hadn't moved or looked away from his plate, the pink-skinned girl looked to her fellow "horn buddy", something she came up with between her, Kirishima, and Gensou since they all had horns (at least in a way for Kirishima). She placed a hand on his arm and spoke gently, "Hey… you alright Genny?"
Her soft-spoken voice got him out of his thoughts as he looked at her, from the way her face looked at him was full of worry and some kind of care within her ever deep and hypnotizing eyes. He was lost in them until she blinked and he cleared his throat gently.
"Yes... Yes, I'm fine... if you'll excuse me though, I need to wash up before class starts." he said giving her a smirk that he hoped would placate her for now as he got up from the table and left the cafeteria, unknown that another person had watched the events and soon followed him out and doing so to not alert the devil boy's friends.
Mina had watched Gensou leave and once he was no longer in her vision, she sighed and rested her head on the table, before looking at Izuku as he continued to look to where his friend had left, "Midori… What is it with you two and attracting asshole blonde boys and starting fights?" she asked in a jokingly, but also serious matter that caused the boy in question to blush and chuckle innocently.
"I-I don't know what to say about that, A-Ashido… i-i-it's not like we go out seeking trouble." He answered back with his little stutter, looking down at the table before feeling a hand on his upper arm, he turned his head to see Tsuyu staring at him, giving off a gentle ribbit from her throat as while she looked as emotionless as before, he could see the worry in her black eyes as if she was staring deep into his soul. But they were both knocked out of their staring contest, much to the annoyance of Mina who had been watching the two love-sick teens with a big grin before so being rudely interrupted by Ilda.
"To have that Bakugo boy straight-up attack you is shameful for a student of UA! Only because he didn't know you were a late bloomer, Midoriya." spoke the bespectacled boy as Izuku nodded gently, the whole incident on the first day of school still fresh in his memory.
"DEKU?!" roared a voice within the large and busy cafeteria of UA, freezing the green-haired boy on the spot with a clear look of terror shown on his face as Naoki beside him looked around to see where he could spot the very well known person who owned that voice. However, both boys were blindsided by a small explosion hitting them and sending the two in opposite directions. Naoki skidding across the floor with a grunt of pain from the impact (and his head hitting the floor hard) and Izuku slammed against the cafeteria wall before a fist grabbed the front of what remained of his school jacket and tie, pinning him to where he landed, "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET INTO UA?!"
Izuku was coughing from the hit of the explosion, gasping for air as Bakugo kept slamming him against the wall, every slam with a statement or question. He kept shouting at the slightly dazed boy when he was suddenly pulled back and off of Izuku by Kirishima and a grey-haired boy with an odd set of tan-colored eyelashes. Both boys had to use their quirks as Bakugo kept using his explosions to try and break free, destroying most of their upper uniforms as well.
As the two hardening quirked boys were busy with Bakugo, Tsuyu was immediately at Izuku's side, looking him over for injuries as she moved her large hands to rip open what was left of his upper uniform and croaked in worry when she saw the fresh burn mark that was left from the initial explosion that sent him into the wall, but of course, she had also gotten a look at the "old" scar that was mentioned in the showers just twenty minutes prior. She croaked coldly with anger so deep you'd think it was a war cry against Bakugo, she was about to turn her head towards the soon to be "dead teen" when Izuku coughed and knocked her out of her 'murderous' stupor. She started to fuss over him again, while he smiled at her gently and told her he was fine.
Another explosion and the grunt of Kirishima caught both of their attention as Bakugo beelined towards the pair and his hands sparking up and priming another explosion. Izuku quickly moved so Tsuyu was against the wall, shielding her from the incoming attack with his body pressed against hers to take the brunt of the incoming explosion. Though a sudden 'erk' from Bakugo and a thud to the ground made Izuku loosen his hold on Tsuyu a little so he could turn back and see his assailant on the ground, wrapped up in what could be considered a long scarf. He looked up to see Aizawa standing above the still struggling explosive teen, his eyes blazing that deep red again as he shouted at the student body that had watched the conflict, "Tell me what is going on here. Immediately!"
"Yes sir!" answered Tenya who came up to him, "We had just arrived into the cafeteria and there was the shout calling out for someone named "Deku", then an explosion happened that knocked both Gensou and Midoriya apart where this student pinned Midoriya to the wall and kept shouting questions. Kirishima and the other boy had pulled him off to attempt to end the fight, but Kirishima was knocked away until you intervened, sir!" shouted Tenya as he waved his arm up and down robotically while Aizawa nodded in confirmation while still glaring at Bakugo.
"Name and class. now." He demanded, for which Bakugo merely clicked his tongue and looked away. Glaring more at the unruly student and tightening the wraps around him until a cough from a female student got his attention, though he was still training his eyes on the explosive teen, "What is it?" he said in a cold tone, though given what was happening, no one could fault him.
"I-I'm sorry to interrupt sensei, but that's Bakugo Katsuki from Class 1-B… he is in my class." She said with a graceful but soft tone to her voice, the girl herself had seen the lone Bakugo eating his lunch by himself when he had suddenly shouted the word "Deku" and launched himself towards the cafeteria entrance. As she finished explaining what she saw, Aizawa asked for her name, "I am from Class 1-B as well, and my name is Shiozaki Ibara." bowing her head afterward.
Just as Aizawa was about to instruct her to go fetch their homeroom teacher Vlad King, said teacher burst into the room with a few of the other teachers that had heard the explosion, the blood hero looked at his struggling student in Aizawa's capture scarf, "Aizawa, what happened?"
"Seems like your student decided to try and start a fight, Vlad…" spoke Aizawa as Midnight and Present Mic rushed past the two to check on the other students. The 1-B teacher sighed and growled in his throat, having put up with Bakugo's horrible attitude and swearing all day and now this. He activated his quirk as the blood from the back of his glove took over for restraining his wayward student and he picked him off of the ground.
"I apologize for this, Aizawa... I will make sure it will not happen again." He said as he then lifted the boy over his shoulder and carried him off and out of the room. Bakugo was cursing up a storm, demanding to be let go and get his answers from the "useless Deku". Aizawa sighed heavily as he released his quirk, reaching into his belt and pulling out his eyedrops and using them, once done he looked to Izuku and walked over to the still crouching teen holding Tsuyu close to him still.
"Midoriya, are you alright?" asked the teacher with a soft tone to his voice that didn't seem to match his attitude towards his students earlier in the day. Izuku blinked to get himself out of his thoughts of just witnessing Bakugo getting carried away, he was about to say he was fine when he heard a ribbit close to his chest and he suddenly backed up, letting Tsuyu go and blushing up a storm.
"S-s-so sorry As-I mean Tsuyu! A-Are you alright?" asked the stuttering boy as he looked upon his female classmate to see if she was alright, "I-I didn't mean to grab you l-like that… I-I was-"
"I know you were trying to shield me from the explosive moron, Midoriya-chan." Tsuyu interrupted as she then looked to her teacher, "Aizawa-sensei, Midoriya has suffered some burns from the initial explosion done by Bakugo." she reported as Aizawa turned his body to look over the wounds, looking over the burn and nodding his head.
"Superficial, but go to Recovery Girl and get it looked over. Asui, take Midoriya to the infirmary and make sure he gets there safe before returning to class." He commanded with a low tone that was still that same sort of softness and caring of a teacher. The frog girl nodded her head and slowly helped the still blushing boy up, as Aizawa's attention is taken by a call from his friend and fellow teacher, Present Mic.
After arriving at the infirmary, and Tsuyu explaining what happened to the elderly hero, the frog girl helped Izuku into a hospital bed to rest as Recovery Girl gave the boy a kiss on his forehead, the burns slowly disappearing as it made him extremely sleepy.
"Now, he's going to rest here for a few hours until his stamina gets back up to snuff, please inform Aizawa once you get back young lady." said the older woman, and after a nod from Tsuyu, left the two teens alone. Izuku was staring up at the ceiling, dizzy from the quirk used on him to heal his wounds when Tsuyu stood up, staring at him.
"Thank you again for protecting me, Midoriya-chan..." she said and bowed to him, causing the half-awake boy to chuckle softly, shaking his head gently and smiling up at her with his eyes half glazed.
"... It was nothing Tsuyu… I'm just *yawn* glad that I was able to protect you… didn't want Kacchan to hurt you ..." Izuku spoke gently, no sign of his already well-known stutter as he gently passed out from all the excitement and stamina loss. Tsuyu watched as the boy before her as he was sleeping soundly, a small smile crept from her lips to see her crush look so peaceful in his slumber, and after making sure they were alone, she leaned forward and gently placed a kiss upon his cheek, blushing softly as she walked to the door and then turned back to the sleeping hero in training.
"*Ribbit* Have a good rest, Izuku-chan."
Izuku wasn't sure if the last part was simply from exhaustion or had happened, but over the few days, he would notice that Tsuyu was sticking close to him, especially during the lunch breaks over the past week. As if protecting him from Bakugo which while flattering to the green-haired boy, was also mind-shattering as he never expected anyone but Naoki to ever stick up for him, let alone a really cute… no… beautiful girl like Tsuyu. As if on cue to get him out of the thoughts of his crush, the bell rang to end their lunch period and the students all started to head to their respective classes, and Izuku thought back to his still-missing friend, but he knew Naoki wouldn't be late. It was Friday after all, which meant that today's hero class would be more of a "cool down" strategy and tactics class, something that was added recently to the first-year heroics instead of constant physical training but to also foster and improve rational thinking and battle planning. As he was about to enter the class, he was stopped just outside of the door by Mina who was smiling wide and waved at him, he walked over to her just out of the view of the classroom, "Y-yes Ashido? Is something the matter?"
-Meanwhile, just before the bell rang-
[Boy's bathroom]
The coolness of the water that was splashed onto his face sent shivers down his spine that also caused his tail to shift and wiggle, making the blue chitin skinned boy sigh gently as he reached for some paper towels beside him to dry his face. His thoughts remained on what that moron Monoma had spewed out before being knocked out by Kendo, and grunted as he slammed the countertop with a fist, he sighed to himself as he looked into the mirror, staring upon his reflection as the events of earlier in the week flooded his mind.
How he was knocked out by Bakugo in an attempt to get to Midoriya.
The concussion he sustained from taking a blow to the head when he landed.
The fact that before being woken up, Aizawa had explained that he made Kirishima, Present Mic, that one boy named Tetsutetsu and himself hold down his arms, legs, and tail. And with one foot on his wrist, the teacher had used some smelling salts to wake him up. And of course, it went to shit.
He remembered waking up groggily and disorientated before his thoughts came to him like a rush of pain, his eyes opened quickly with his iris' constricting as he struggled to get up, not realizing where he was or what was happening.
Who were these blurry shadows? Was he being held down by Bakugo's "henchmen" again? Was he going to be beaten for being a "nightmare-inducing" extra? Where was Izuku? Oh god, did they beat him first? It was then that his "flight or fight" kicked in, and he decided to fight back. He shouted, using his quirk to make his shout something unholy and monstrous, the images of various monsters beginning to take form around him (though muddled and slow forming due to the concussion).
The shadow that was on his right hand reached out and gripped his mouth, eyes blazing red which started to make the devil boy more scared. Though instead of an incoming explosion or the usual inane shouting of the bombastic blonde, a dulled serious tone of a voice broke through the haze.
"Gensou Naoki. Calm down."
The same voice that told him to stand down during the battle trial, the one that told him to rest after running those ten kilometers, and he blinked a few times causing his vision to look less blurry. He looked to his right to see the familiar shape of his homeroom teacher, his eyes shifting to the left to see a concerned Present Mic. He blinked a few more times before being slowly seated up with the help of both teachers, he felt weights coming off of his legs and tail as his blue iris' looked to a bewildered Kirishima and Tetsutetsu as they stood up and backed away.
The rest of the memory was burned into his mind, the looks upon the faces of many of the other students that he had seen many times before he ever came to UA, and when his gaze had come upon Mina and Komori, his heart stopped for but a moment and his blue skin paled slightly upon the look that the shorter brown-haired was giving him. A look he never wished for her to ever give him now or in the future, and one that still haunted his dreams since that day.
The absolute look of fear within her eyes as she looked at him.
Shaking his head from that awful memory, looking down from the mirror for a moment before catching his gaze on the reflective surface again, "Great job dumbass… get to UA, and already most of the school thinks you're the "boogeyman" again…"
"To be truthful Gensou-kun, how you acted was not your fault." spoke a deep voice from the closed entrance of the boy's bathroom that caused Naoki to shout in alarm and whip around. His eyes coming upon the figure of Fumikage Tokoyami with his arms crossed in front of him and the glare of his avian head staring at him, something that Naoki had noticed that the fellow quirk altered student rarely changed.
"Goddammit you scared me Tokoyami!" exclaimed Naoki with an exasperated sigh before leaning back on the counter and catching his breath. The room was silent for a few moments before he spoke again after catching his breath and letting his heart simmer down, "... and I know that… I was dazed from the hit to my head, I get that… but…"
"Having your peers look upon you with fear? Or the fear of a particular person?" asked Fumikage as he leaned against a closed stall door, the question made Naoki flinch which the dark hero in training picked up on. He waited for Naoki to answer him with the devil boy staring at him for a few moments before sighing and looking down.
"That obvious, huh?"
"Indeed… while I do not know the full story, everyone will see the value of summoning otherworldly beings to cause fear and havoc to your opponent's state of mind for hero work eventually. It is a very good strategy and could be used in other ways which I am sure you no doubt have already thought of." Fumikage said as he took a few steps forward, causing the other boy to raise his head to see a hand out to shake, "Know that while you tread upon the balance of light and dark, that you have an ally within the darkness."
Naoki blinked for a few moments, then slowly smirked, taking the hand of the Avian headed boy and shaking it, "And I hope that I can aid you whenever Dark Shadow gets too unruly." which caused said apparition to appear and fumed at him, which made Naoki chuckle before Fumikage willed said "unruly" beast back into his being. The bell rang then as both boys nodded to one another, leaving the restroom to return to their classroom.
"Gensou, I am curious though about the creatures you tried to "will" into existence after Bakugo attacked you, and I apologize if it's too recent still to ask, but… what were you trying to bring to life?" asked Fumikage as Naoki looked at him.
"Truthfully? Movie monsters from a really good science fiction horror series my dad used to watch with me when I was younger and when he was home." Naoki rubbed the back of his head, "They were always a "go-to" to scare off unwanted attention."
"Interesting, and what was the premise towards such revelry in the dark?" continued Fumikage as Naoki smirked.
"Well, it all started when a bunch of astronauts came across a derelict ship out in space and found this weird egg…"
"I-I'm sorry Ashido, b-but I already have plans after school today... " Izuku said while blushing a bit, while Mina was pouting at him and huffed.
"Fine, that's fair I guess… though one of these days you are going to have to come with us as a group!" she pointed at the boy then, her fingertip just barely grazing his nose which made the green-haired boy blush brightly. Mina smirked seeing the cute reaction from him, but that was far as she was going to push it when it came to Izuku… after all, Tsuyu had already called "dibs" which was fine for the pink hair and skinned girl.
Although Kinoko was crushing hard for Naoki which was hard for the mushroom girl most of the time due to how often her timidness was hindering her and being put off slightly by his quirk when it came to its darker "aspects", Mina could not help but admire her fellow "horn buddy" and the lengths he went to for his friends or people he cared about, especially when it came to Izuku. That and he was very fit and handsome… which Mina liked VERY much, and his singing would send chills down her body when she remembered the passion from the song he sang when she and Kinoko had accidentally opened the door to his room.
During the few times, she could spare a thought to said singing, she had wondered if Naoki would sing other genres of music if she asked… gods help her if he knew softer romantic songs.
Mina was knocked out of her inner thoughts when said boy she was thinking about had turned around the corner with Tokoyami of all people, the avian headed boy looked deep in thought as she picked up the ending of the conversation, "-to think that the way those creatures could alter their appearance depending upon the host…" he shuddered and muttered something she could not hear but had made Naoki chuckle. His attention was taken from his new friend when he saw Izuku and Mina just outside of class and raised an eyebrow at the two.
"Hey you two, everything alright?" Naoki asked as Izuku turned around and nodded at him.
"Y-yep, everything's fine, Naoki…" Izuku said with a small smirk before it faded somewhat as he stared at the devil boy, "W-what about you? Are you alright?"
"Yea… just had to think over some things and Tokoyami here helped with that, so what are you two doing outside of class? It's gonna start soon."
"Oh!" Mina spoke up then, smiling that ever bright smile that Fumikage winced a little at as Mina was one of the few "bright" teens within Class 1-A and her brightness would often be too much for the boy who preferred the darkness, "I was asking Midori if he was free to join a bunch of us going to karaoke after classes today, but he said he already had plans…" she fake pouted at the said boy who chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head, then she turned back to the other two boys before her, "I was hoping to catch you before class started and invite you to Genny and you are welcome to join us as well Tokoyami!"
"I thank you for the invitation, but I must pass on it for today as I already have plans set in place for the coming celestial event tonight which will help me retain my control over Dark Shadow," Fumikage said with a polite bow when Mina huffed playfully again before Dark Shadow suddenly popped out from behind his host.
"Just admit you wanna watch the full moon and stars tonight, Fumi!" spoke the sentient quirk which caused Fumikage to puff his feathers a bit in embarrassment.
"Quiet, beast!" he said with the other three students chuckling at the antics of the host and quirk as they hurried into the classroom.
"I'll never get tired of how those two talk to one another…" Mina said, calming herself shortly as she looked expectedly at Naoki, "Well? What do you say Genny? Wanna give that voice of yours a real workout, show off that talent of yours?" she leaned forward and got close to him, her golden iris' staring hard at his blue ones, causing the said boy to blush deeply with Izuku snickering and blushing a little himself while watching this.
"I-I… um… y-yea sure…" stuttered the flustered Naoki, making Mina smile brightly and leaning back clapping her hands together.
"Great! We are gonna meet at the front gates an hour after classes end!" Mina beamed as the bell rang loudly, "Oops better get to our seats before All Might shows up!" she said as the other two boys nodded, following her into the classroom.
As she sat down at her desk, she caught a glance at the Naoki from across the classroom, who was still trying to quickly recover from blushing up a storm out in the hallway. She smirked inwardly to herself with how well the plan to get Naoki to come to karaoke with her as well as a few select people from both Class 1-A and Class 1-B. It didn't hurt that playfully flirting with the boy she had a very small crush on helped, something that she had admitted to herself after the events of the battle trials and how he dealt with that purple asshole.
Still, she had a game plan and while she would like nothing more to simply ask the boy out and be more flirty with him and all that entails with that… She then smirked to herself, looking forward to the front of the class as she finished her thoughts and focused on the possible ending of her schemes.
Because why just have a very lovable and sexy devil of a boyfriend when she could also have an equally sexy and adorable mushroom obsessed girlfriend as well…
Looks like Nezu is adding something to Naoki's list of "Don't make it exist."
