Alycee's POV

While my recovery took a bit longer than the others in quarantine with me, I was up and going as I could. I was with my master as we fought to free Ryloth, we were the ground assault team.

Anakin's first assault had failed, massively, and half of his troops had been lost.

"Men! Get ready to go into hyperspace!" My master had commanded. "Anakin has made his move, we need to be ready to land on Ryloth!"

We went into hyperspace and arrived at Ryloth. "Ashoka, are we clear to make our landing?"

"Yep!"

"I'm not even going to ask where the rest of his fleet is or why he's in an escape pod."

I sniggered, I had a good idea as to what his second plan was… and it looked like it had succeeded.

"That's probably for the best, Rex, that reminds me, send a shuttle to pick up master Skywalker."

"The trick will be getting our troops on the ground first."

"If you take the city of Nabat first, we'll have our landing zone." Master Windu said.

"Well, it's time to meet the natives."

"Good luck, and may the Force be with you."

Our ships started descending, and I felt the tall telltale signs of pre-combat nerves. My stomach felt like it was about to combust in on itself.

"We need to remember why we're here. We came to aid the Twi'leks, not destroy their home.'' My master started. "Cody."

"That means we'll be taking it back the hard way, minimal destruction with blasters and droid poppers only, no rockets, or detonators, check your aim."

"Remember to keep an eye out for the locals," I stated.

"Are we understood?" Cody asked.

"SIR YES SIR!" Our men obediently replied.

That's when the droids started their attack. Bombs went off, and we were called by Windu. "We can't land the larger transports until you take care of those guns!"

"Pull back, we'll take care of it." My master turned and faced the troops. "Whos up for a challenge? Were not getting any reinforcements until those guns are out of commission."

No one said anything, I felt the troops' nerves rise. "We can do this," I said. "There's no better legion than the 212'th."

Our ships deployed from the destroyers. We landed safely, and just as quickly we jumped off the ship and to the city. Me and my master activated our lightsabers.

"Come on men! Let's go!" Cody yelled. We advanced further to the city, the droids tried to stop us. However, we had run into a problem. "That bunker is going to be a problem, General."

"Leave the bunker to me, Alycee, stay with the troops, bring your troops in on my signal! You two wanted action, follow me."

"You heard him, Waxer!"

"Ghost Company, let's move!" Cody called.

We successfully defeated the border defenses. "The wall is secure sir, are we moving onto the guns?"

"We need to know what the droids have in store for us. Send your best men to scout ahead."

"Will do sir, Boil, Waxer, come with me."

"Alycee, go with them."

"No problem, master."

"I guess were the best."

"Buildings are just buildings, what makes a city, are the people who live in them," Cody said.

"So, where are they?"

"Guys, hold on. There's one other life form here other than us." I said. "Stay here, I'm going to go check it out." That's when I found her, a small Twi'lek child. "Kaaless, where's your zen'ka?" I ask in her language.

I could tell she didn't trust me. "It's okay, afa don't want ta hurt tun." That's when Cody and Waxer ran in and ruined any chance of trust I had of gaining.

"Really you two?"

"Apologies commander."

"I was planning on bringing her back to command with me, to keep her safe from the droids."

"Good plan, commander."

I turned around to the little girl again, "Afa plie do men don't want ta hurt tun." I said in her language again. "Afa plie do men don't want ta hurt tun." The little girl still didn't want to trust us.

"Boys, take your helmets off," I ordered. "She probably thinks your droids."

"See, were flesh and blood, just like you," Cody said.

"She looks half-starved." I pulled out a ration and gave it to the little girl. "Circaa, it's food" She took it cautiously.

"Nera, Nera, Numa." She said, referring to Boil, Waxer, and me.

"Aww, she's calling you her brothers." I translated.

"And what about you, Commander?"

"Sister."

"Sha want ta get tun ta safety, ta'brila tun hlaari plee sha?"

She shook her head no. "Eti so okay, stay close ta afa then."
