Isabella got on the bus and walked to the back of the bus with her friends. Phineas was close behind her, and Emma was talking to the other boys behind them.
"So, you've shot a deer?" Buford asked her, surprised.
"Well, yeah, that's what happens when you go hunting, Buford..." Emma explained.
"But you're a girl! Girls don't shoot animals!" he stuttered.
Emma laughed and opened her phone. "Wanna bet?" she asked, scrolling through her pictures and pulling up one of the little buck she had gotten the previous fall.
Buford saw the picture and laughed. "Alright, so you're not your average girl."
"No, no I'm not!" she smiled.
Baljeet chimed in. "Plus, Ferb likes you, so you must be different than the other girls!"
Emma blushed at the comment and sat down in a seat, looking out the window.
Suddenly the seat moved and she looked over to see none other than Gracie sitting on the seat beside her.
"G-Gracie?" Emma asked nervously.
"Hey. Um, I'm s-s-s..." she started.
"Sorry?" Isabella chirped from the seat behind them.
"Yeah, that. I'm sorry that I've been kind of a jerk." she frowned, avoiding eye contact with the surprised blonde next to her.
Emma paused and gave her a questioning look.
"KIND OF?" Isabella asked.
Gracie looked back at Isabella with an eye roll. "Okay, fine, a huge jerk. I just had to tell you that I'm sorry because I realized what I did to you wasn't right. So, yeah." Gracie said, and then started to stand up and walk away.
"Wait!" Emma said.
Gracie turned around as Emma grabbed her arm. "I forgive you."
"You- you what? After all the crap I caused you?" she asked, puzzled at her reaction.
"Well... we all make mistakes. Even if they are borderline creepy."
"Hey!" Gracie defended.
"You literally snuck in our room to see Ferb get undressed..." Phineas whispered, and he and Isabella laughed.
Gracie sighed and sat back down. "Okay, so maybe I was a LITTLE creepy."
"A LITTLE?" the three exclaimed.
"OKAY, A LOT CREEPY, IS THAT BETTER FOR YOU?"
"Yes, yes it is." Phineas laughed.
Gracie scoffed and got up. "You guys can't even go a second without acting stupid."
She walked off.
"Well, that was a start, I guess!" Emma said to her friends behind her.
"Honestly, I'm surprised even that happened, she's not a very apologetic person if you know what I mean..." Isabella said.
"Yeah, me too. Did Ferb tell you guys what happened last night?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"After you left? Nope... what did you guys do?" Phineas asked, smirking.
"Why does everyone think- nevermind. It's not important." she decided not to say anything so they wouldn't try to kill Gracie and her group.
"Mhm, we can all just imagine what happened." Isabella giggled and Emma rolled her eyes.
"Goodness gracious, can't tell you guys anything!" she laughed.
They all laughed for a while, and then Emma remembered how tired Ferb looked in bed. He looked so helpless and exhausted, and she couldn't help but wonder what he was doing. She sighed and looked back out the window, watching the houses pass by.
Ferb woke up around 11, feeling exhausted from the late night he had had the night before. He yawned and stretched, and quickly remembered his plan. He gasped and hopped out of bed. Homecoming was in 2 weeks, and this was going to take time to plan, so he needed to start the plans soon.
"Honey! What are you doing out of bed?" Linda asked as she walked in his room to find him staring at his computer looking at Vanessa's florist website.
"Uh... I'm feeling better!" he said, his face turning bright red as she saw what he was doing.
"You weren't sick in the first place, were you?" she asked, shaking her head with a slight smile. "How late were you up?"
Ferb sighed and flashed her an awkward smile. "I didn't sleep till 6 this morning..."
"Ferb! That's not healthy! I'll allow it this once, but if it happens again, there will be consequences, young man!" she said. "Understood?"
"Of course, sorry mum." he apologized and gave her a hug before getting back to his computer. All of a sudden, his phone lit up. He grinned at the name on his phone.
"You love her, don't you?" she asked, seeing the look on his face when he got the text.
"We just me-" he started, then paused, sighing. "Yes. Yes, I do. More than she will ever know."
Her face lit up and she gave him a hug. "Oh, my baby's growing up! You know, I remember when your dad first brought you to our house... You were so shy, you wouldn't talk to anyone, and Phineas was getting upset because you wouldn't reply to him! After a while, he realized you didn't like talking so he started talking for you."
Ferb chuckled at his mother's recollection of their childhood. He remembered Phineas being his voice for the longest time, until one summer, Ferb decided he wanted to talk more, and everyone was shocked when he started using 2 sentences, then 3, then 4, then 10, then full conversations.
"Anyways, what do you have planned for her?" Linda asked, letting go of him.
"Well, she told me that her favorite flowers are carnations, and her favorite color is blue, so I talked to Vanessa, and she told me she had a bouquet with blue carnations as the main flower, so I ordered one. I wanted to make it as special as possible, so I'm gonna prepare one of those cheesy, stupid homecoming proposals just to make her think that's all I did, and then I'm gonna surprise her with a romantic stroll by the lakeside and a kayak ride, and then stage some sort of 'Little Mermaid' theme boat ride, and then at the end I'm gonna ask her to be my girlfriend. You know, end off the night right. Simple stuff." he explained, getting a few crazy looks from Linda.
"You're gonna do all this in 2 weeks?" she asked, flabbergasted.
"Well, yeah, I mean, everything we've ever built before only took a montage."
"What do you mean, 'everything we've ever built'?" she raised an eyebrow.
He paused, not sure how to tell her without getting in trouble. "Umm... I don't know how to explain this, but Candace was right about everything she ever told you about. We did all that in the backyard."
She laughed and when he didn't laugh with her, she gave him a puzzled look. "Y-you're not kidding?"
"No..."
"The rollercoaster? The time machine? The- the-the... ALL OF IT?" she stuttered, her eyes widening.
"Yep. All of it."
"I-I would bust you, but I guess nothing ever happened... and you cleaned it up nicely. How did you do that?"
"To be honest with you, I have no idea. Mysterious force, I guess." he smiled.
"Hmm... okay... well good luck with your girlfriend!" she said, ruffling his hair and walking downstairs.
Emma: Hey! u ok? i saw you were sick this morning :(
Ferb: yea, i'm fine. sorry stayed up too late last night thinking about you;)
Emma: awww really? but don't hurt yourself for me
Ferb: I'd do anything for you. meet me park afterschool. love you:)
Emma: haha okay, see you then. love you too!:))
Emma walked to her next class, eager to ask Phineas if he knew what Ferb was planning. She was hesitant to see Gracie again, but hoped it wouldn't be too bad. She walked into the class and went to her seat next to Phineas.
"Hey!" she said.
He looked up from his phone. "Oh, hey! What's up?"
She glanced at his phone and saw the name "IZZYBEAR" with 3 pink hearts on his screen and giggled. "Aww, you have a nickname for her?"
He blushed. "Y-yeah... she's too cute not to..." he said with a goofy smile.
"That's adorable! You guys are definitely soulmates, if I do say so myself."
His face got even redder, which didn't seem possible. "I-I sure hope so..." he said, looking off into space and zoning out.
"Hey, um... did Ferb tell you anything about going to the park later?" she asked, snapping him out of his mind.
"Oh! Um, no... sorry. I guess you'll find out!" he laughed. "I do know he likes you a lot."
She smiled and blushed. "Honestly, so do I."
Sorry for the short chapter, I'm trying to extend the story, and I want to do it in bits so there's some suspense! Let me know what you guys think Ferb is gonna do! Is Gracie gonna be rude? Will new friendships arise? New chapter comes out tomorrow! Goodnight!
