Title: After the Nightmare
Summary: After the Penguins leave for home, King Julien sets about resuming his rule. Meanwhile the Penguins address their concerns about Julien ruling the Lemur Kingdom again. Plus: Julien has one of his "ideas".
Timeline: After Unexpected Files: Nightmares from Madagascar.
Characters: Julien, Maurice, Clover, Mort, The Penguins.
Madagascar
(Maurice's POV)
The Penguins, The Super-plane, and their jets had just disappeared over the horizon. Though their probably tempted to never return again I have a feeling we'll be seeing them again. Julien would probably insist that we bring him back to the zoo to annoy...I mean...visit his former "subjects". And Skipper did say that Clover would get to train with them. Hopefully they have insurance on all their training rigs because she can get...destructive (not Rico destructive but still).
Karl had disappeared back to Florida but was probably planning his next revenge. Hopefully he decides to stay local and bug the penguins instead of us. Uncle King Julien had retreated back to Feartopia with the Fossa and Crimson. Everyone had accepted Julien as King and allowed him to resume his rule without complaint (even hector didn't complain). Becca and Abner on the other hand...had reignited their LALA movement. Timo was just happy to have a official Job again as the gecko wasn't really receptive to the wonders of science.
Julien was still staring at the spot the Super-plane was and was deep in thought. Mort tried to touch Julien's feet only to get kicked into the forest. Julien then continued to stare at the horizon. Clover and I exchanged concerned looks as Julien seemed to blank out.
"I'm okay!" Mort said from the distance.
"Julien are you okay?" I said.
"I haven't felt better Maurice," Julien said.
"Good we have to meet with the kingdom in the...uh," Maurice said, "We don't really have a plane wreak anymore so...in front of the great tree?"
"No tell my kingly kingdom to meet me in front of the water-slide!" Julien said, "Because I have a special announcement Momo!"
"Great," I said, "It better not be one of your 'ideas'."
"What wrong with my ideas?" Julien asked.
Clover and I opened our mouth to speak but Julien quickly backtracked, "Wait! Don't answer that!"
"Don't worry it's not one of those Will-probably-go-completely-and-utterly-horribly-wrong Ideas!" Julien said.
"Good," I said.
"It will be a Definitely-going-to-go-completely-and-utterly-horribly-terribly-wrong Idea," Julien said before running off.
"What!?" Clover said.
"This is probably a bad idea," I said, "But let's gather the kingdom."
"I'll help!" Mort said before running into the kingdom.
"I'll get the torches," Clover said.
"I'll get the people," I said.
"I'm going to grab my special crown!" Julien shouted.
"What could go wrong," I muttered.
Meanwhile
Penguin HQ
(Skipper's POV)
"Home again, Home again," Kowalski said.
"Should we be worried about Julien's transition back into Power?" Private said.
"Nope," I said, "Maurice and Clover will ensure a smooth continuation of power."
"What about his enemies?" Kowalski said.
"He has a one-lemur army one his side...he should be fine," I said.
"What about the Lemur Alliance Liberation Army?" Private said.
"A Two person revolution?" I said, "I doubt they could do much..."
"Besides they don't have enough revolutionaries," Kowalski said, "And those two are kind of..."
"Stupid?" Rico said.
"Sorry got a little weird there," Kowalski said.
"Also democracy in a kingdom of...to put this lightly...dummies...is a bad idea," I said, "Most of the kingdom doesn't have the intelligence, or the focus, or the desire to run a democracy."
"Even less likely in the neighboring kingdoms," Kowalski said, "especially the kingdom of the dumb kangaroo rats and their constant desire to build a pretty pointless maze."
"So unless Julien does something incredibly stupid," I said, "Madagascar should be fine..."
"But this is Julien we're talking about," Private said.
"Not our Zoo...Not our problem," I concluded, "Case closed."
"But..."
"Not if I say case closed," I said.
"But Karl is back in Florida..." Kowalski said.
"Then he's our problem now," I said, "Julien should be happy about that!"
"I don't he really cares one way or the other..." Private said.
"The Civet does and that's all that matters," I said.
"But what if Julien has one of the 'ideas' Maurice was warning us about?" Private said.
"Then he can worry about it," I said, "worrying about the fallout of Julien's poorly thought out ideas... is not our job anymore..."
"Like I said him deciding to stay in Madagascar is the only smart decision he's ever made," I said, "some made up War of the Beasts not included."
"But I'm..."
"Stop worrying...that's an order," I said.
"Aye sir," Private said.
"Then same goes for you two," I said turning to a worried Kowalski and Rico.
"Right sure," Kowalski said.
"Uh huh," Rico said.
"Good," I said, "Now who want's Ice Cold Sushi for dinner!"
Madagascar
(Maurice's POV)
"Hello my people!" Julien said, "I am Back!"
"Woo!" Everyone shouted.
"Thank you!" Julien said pointing at the crowd.
"How much you want to bet that this is a bad idea," Clover said.
"How much do you got?" I said.
"Five mangoes," she replied.
"Sure," I said, "make it ten."
"Done," Clover said as we shook on it.
"Now I have an idea...thought up by Maurice..." Julien said.
"Great now he's doing the project blame thing," Maurice said.
"IF he's already blaming you for it it must be bad," Clover said.
"And approved by Clover," Julien said.
"Make that a double bad idea," Clover said.
"And authorized by your King," Julien said.
"What's the idea!" Someone shouted.
"It better not cause us all to die!" Someone said.
"NO! Don't say that now you going to set off Willie!" Somebody else said.
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"
"Nice going," Someone else grumbled.
"No," Julien said, "We're not..."
"GOING TO DIE!"
"Just let me finish," Julien said, "The Idea of...Maurice's...is a excellent fantastic definitely-not-going-to-go-wrong amazing idea..."
"GET ON WITH IT!" Hector shouted.
"I was trying build excitement but," Julien said, "I am going to build a theme park themed after your truly!"
"Oh no," Maurice said.
"Excellent," Timo said, "Now I can finally built that Roller coaster!"
"Your hired!" Julien shouted.
"This isn't going to go well," Maurice said.
"YES!" Mort shouted.
"Thank you mort!" Julien said, "Now who wants to help build...RINGTAIL LAND!"
"Ringtail?" Somebody said.
"Yes a land of action and adventure based on the true tales of King Julien the...DOUBLE AGENT SPY GUY!"
"Oh..." Everyone said.
"Oh no, this is bad," I said before gathering ten mangoes.
"Whoa! His idea don't usually go wrong until after he implements it," Clover said.
"He better not have made up a song about it," I grumbled.
And then a bunch of fireworks went off, The firework spelled out Double Agent Spy Guy in the sky.
"DOUBLE AGENT SPY GUY!" Julien sang out, "The Ultimate theme for a amusement park..."
"DOUBLE AGENT SPY GUY!"
"Oh he did," I said face-palming.
"Let's just go..." Clover said.
One terrible idea later...
Ringtail Land lay in ruins as Julien looks at the devastation in shock, "No my theme park!"
"My Roller Coasters!" Timo said running towards the devastated rides.
"I TOLD YOU THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!" somebody shouted.
"TODD!" A familiar voice shouted.
"And it seems the dream of Ringtail Land has ended in the worst way possible," Xixi reported.
"Let's not tell the penguins about this," Julien said.
"Best idea I heard all day," I said.
When Julien's back was turned I handed Clover her ten mangoes, "Thank you," Clover said.
The End
