Chapter 26 : Terrible Humiliation

Both Ayumi and Fubuki was silent as they got to eat their lunch.
Due to the electricity being busted, Fubuki was forced to cancel her morning stream. As for Ayumi, she was still thinking about the action she needs to do to her hacker. She was also depressed because the fame that she build up for two months was crumbling just because of some hacker.
It was at the point where she wanted to cry.
Fubuki also knows this. She became aware of that post this morning when one of the people who was on her Hyperchat made her aware of it.
Most of Kotomi's viewers seems to jump to Fubuki's stream because they think Fubuki was innocent to anything that the "Bitchy Kotomi" was doing. They think that Kotomi was brainwashing Fubuki because she was heavily denying the viewer's negative perception of Kotomi, telling them that it wasn't Kotomi but another person who was doing it.
Well, before she can finish her early morning streaming, the electricity was cut off and she can only inform her fans from Chirper using her smartphone.
Fubuki can understand why Ayumi was depressed today. Anyone would be depressed if their hard work was suddenly broken like a shattered glass.
But even though Ayumi was depressed, she was still doing her daily routine like it was a part of her. She was the one who cooked their meal even when she looks like her mind was somewhere else.
Though the air is now becoming awkward because Ayumi was very silent. Even Fubuki can't say anything because Ayumi was generating an aura of depression. Basically, it was hard to talk to her in her current state.
So their lunch was just a silent one. With only the sounds of their utensils being heard in the room.
After awhile, Ayumi finally got up and took all the dishes. Fubuki was already finish so she also got up. Though she was still worried at Ayumi.
Of course the thirteen year old girl notice her worry because she turned her head in her way to speak.
"Don't worry about me. I'll manage somehow." She said with a forced smile on her face.
Then she got back to taking care of the dishes using her Psychokinesis.
While this is happening, Fubuki decided to go back to her room. Even if she was worried, she knows she can't really do anything to help Ayumi other than defend her name on the internet.
So she opens her Chirper account again, only to be surprise when she saw something that makes her baffled, and also tremble in anger.

She became mad due to the hacker essentially telling them that Kotomi was quitting on her Youtube account. She was going to sell her body using the Vtuber gimmick as an appeal.
She doesn't have any knowledge about that site but making certain inferences, Fubuki can easily get that they are talking about THAT.
It's basically cyber prostitution.
AVtuber is a pornographic site focused on people streaming in their virtual avatars.
Due to the rising popularity of Vtubers, porn managers also goes on the bandwagon and tried incorporating it on their industry. This is why Adult Videos containing Virtual Characters became a part of the pornography.
And it was surprisingly popular because they can watch people doing THAT while streaming in their virtual persona. For most porn viewers, they felt more immersed watching cute anime girls screaming their brains out as the guys behind them pounded them to ecstasy.
It was disgusting in many ways, but most people loves it anyway.
And because it was being done Live, so it was like they are interacting with their dream woman that they like.
It was pretty hard to do this because the streaming equipments in this world, while streamlined, is still bulky and was pretty heavy on the body. Still, people will do anything just to acquire more profits. And Virtual Streamers are profitable so they did many things even with those restrictions.
Ayumi knows this. She accidentally got to know this because of her research on being a Vtuber. Of course she didn't go deeper on the site, but she have an awareness of this.
So Fubuki, being alarmed at this post, quickly goes back downstairs to tell this to Ayumi.
But when she got there, she saw Ayumi was already looking at her smartphone with her shoulders trembling.
"... What did... I do...?" She heard her mutter that with a trembling voice.
Fubuki quickly got to her side and holds her hand. She wanted to comfort Ayumi who was currently suffering from this harassment.
"Ayumi, please calm down. I am sure we can do something about this thing." Fubuki said as she tightens her grip on Ayumi's hand. "I'll also help you. We will look for the culprit!" She said in resolve.
Fubuki was thinking of helping Ayumi like it was natural. She was feeling indebted to her because she took care of her without asking anything for return. Fubuki was glad Ayumi was the one taking care of her and not some other person. She wants to do something for her, at least even a little bit.
But Ayumi doesn't want her to help. For her, this is her own problem. She can't let someone solve her own problem. It was natural for her to deal with her own problem and not the others.
She was ashamed of asking for help. It is because she thinks she was showing a pathetic side of her if she ask for someone to solve her own problems.
It was alright for someone to help if the problem she is facing is something minor like asking for her friend's recommendation of dresses, borrowing some games, or even just passing some ideas to each other.

But she doesn't want to force Ayumi to let her help. If Ayumi was saying she doesn't want any help, then she will just hope that she was fine doing things on her own.
She also have a slight suspicion that Ayumi was diverting her attention from all the troubles that come their way. She is essentially avoiding trouble to involve Fubuki.
'I think... I'll try and see if I can do something for her...' Fubuki thought to herself as she took off her hold on Ayumi's hand.
"Thank you." Ayumi said. "Your concern is enough for me." She continued before going looking at the smartphone again where she was looking at her Chirper account.
Fubuki then goes back to focusing on her own smartphone. She was going to repeatedly protect Ayumi's name. She doesn't care if people hated her because of it. Ayumi was her friend.
And for her personal opinion, she was like a family to her. And as part of the family, she won't just leave her alone to deal with her own problems.
The problem of one is the problem of the whole family. That is what's Fubuki is thinking as she go back to her Chirper and show her support to her friend.
When Ayumi was done on taking care of the dishes, she then goes to her Forbidden Room where a lot of items are scattered and cluttered around.
"... I think I should do this now." Ayumi thought to herself before looking at her shop.
She knows that it would be impossible to deal with everything in her lonesome. A lot of things were destroyed just because of her single uncontrolled jump.
So she needs a lot more things to repair the house. She also needs to replace a lot of her broken equipments.
There is also the problem about the hacker. She was being impersonated and it seems like people think she was publicly selling her body to anyone. She can't even access any of her accounts due to how good of hacker is assailing her person.
So she needs to repair her house first for the electricity. Then she also needs to set up new equipments for her streaming room.
She can also just repair the broken things on her streaming room but because she have a lot of spare devices and parts that she got on her chests so she decided to just replace all of it.
"First of all, I should buy these abilities." She said to no one as she opens her system and buys the abilities that she thinks she needs right now.

Even with her insane learning capability, it will still take her a week before she can acquire a decent knowledge about physics, both applied and theoretical.
As she looks into each things surrounding her vicinity, she can easily understand what are their uses even without knowing what are they called.
So she got to work.
With just willing her mind, she manage to move everything in her house. Recalling all the destroyed parts in her house, she controlled all the molecular structure that collapsed on the ground and also take some of the missing grams of particles that was a part of her broken structure on the outside of her house.
As to how she knows some of the parts of her broken house were outside, it was pretty much common sense. When something was broken, some of their parts moves on the air due to being as small as a dust when they parted off at the main part.
So when she destroyed her streaming room, along with the lines of electricity with it, some parts of the concrete became dust and they flew out somewhere from in and out of her house.
That's what she took.
Her Psychokinesis easily engulfs the whole Japanese soil, along with some parts of South Korea and even the part of Pacific Ocean that was near Japan. If she wants to, she can crush the whole country with her sheer mental will alone.
Of course she won't do that. She wasn't that kind of person.
Anyway, it seems like her Psychokinesis and Analysis synergizes well. She can easily analyse whatever her telekinetic reach interacted.
If her psychic hold interacted with an oxygen, she somehow know it was oxygen even when she doesn't have any visual cues or it wasn't even on her vicinity.
This makes it much easier for her to differentiate what she needs to put in her house and what she doesn't. She took out anything that wasn't needed inside her house. Of course she also take off all the dirt that was on the interior parts of the house that she can't reach. Like a rat's nest, ant's nest, or even other insect nest.
She was doing something that not even the best psychic in this world can do. Her Multitasking capability is already godlike. She can differentiate quintillions of particles that her telekinetic reach were interacting.
Like a magic, her broken streaming room was slowly repairing itself. All the tears and some cracks on the house were somehow fixed. Even the worn look of the house vanished. Now it looks new.
After that, she let electricity flow through the wires that she fixed along with the walls and the floors that she repaired.
Light was back on her house once again. And it seems like it is much better due to her fixing all the flaws that she saw on the molecular bonds of each strands of wires that she fixes. It was also the case on her whole house.
Thanks to her Engineering and Technician, she have an instinctive knowledge how to build a proper structure and make a proper wiring on it. She just took Analysis because knowledge about particles wasn't really included on those two earlier skills.
"Now then... next is this." She said before opening a many portals in the Forbidden Room.
The portals were connected in her streaming room.
She took out all the broken devices that was on the streaming room and dumped them all to the Storage Shack outside using another set of portals. She thinks it was fine to put it there because it was broken beyond recognition anyway. Even if someone goes to her house to steal something on the Storage Shack, they will only see those broken streaming equipments and computer parts.
After she was done taking out all the broken and destroyed parts of the computer and the other streaming equipments, she took all the replacements from her Forbidden Room using her psychic hold and let it pass through her Portal.
Then with just sheer mind alone, she assembled everything else in a precise and quick manner.
Now her streaming room was recovered to it's former look.
She goes out of the Forbidden Room, not forgetting to lock it. Then she goes to the streaming room to see how the new room looks.
Even though her Psychokinesis and Analysis makes it easier to learn what's happening on wherever her telekinetic hold was reaching, she still didn't have any visuals on it so she wants to see it for herself.
And it seems like it was much more better than how the old one looks.
She then go to her room and booted it up. And when nothing pops up on it, she sighs in relief before continuing on.
She didn't open her internet. She thinks she was being hack due to her internet being open. And it seems like she was right.
They might be using some sort of IP Address tracing app or something. Whatever hacking tool they are using, Ayumi will make some things to prevent it from happening again.
As for the problem of her hacked accounts?
She wants to shelved that problem for later. For now, she needs to make a lot of defenses not just for her computer, but even on Fubuki's computer.
It would be bad if someone hacks into Fubuki's computer while she was streaming. Ayumi is scared that people will catch sight of Fubuki's true appearance.
It might be the same as her virtual appearance but it is still scary to think about that. It's not really the normal viewers that she was nervous about. It's the people from the other side.
For as long as she can do it, she wants to hide Fubuki's anomalous existence to those people from the Other Side. She doesn't want to encounter any of them.
So she was being serious with this one.
In the end, Ayumi's first priority wasn't herself. It is still Fubuki.
Even when someone is destroying her image, she still thinks of Fubuki first.
But it was natural. Ayumi, while feeling somewhat frustrated because of what is happening to her, is still someone who sees herself as inferior to anyone. For her, it doesn't matter if she becomes angry for it. It was natural for people to see her as something below a trash.
She is angry, but she is telling herself that she shouldn't let her temper get the better of her. Even if she sees herself as useless, she wants to help those she sees as amazing like Fubuki.
So she is focusing all her efforts on making some defenses for backdoors, malware, and any other type of cyber attacks.
She have a Programming ability so she thinks, even while offline, she can whip up some terrifying countermeasure to stop anyone from taking control of any of the computers from her house ever again.
It was evening when Ayumi was done programming a lot of securities and AI for her whole server.
It took her a long time because she even took the time to buy something in her cheat ability and integrate her CPU and Fubuki's CPU with it.
It is what people would call as a Server. This device was the client for the computers to work without being interrupted by third party interventions.
It is a small device, easily fitting below a desk. It was some sort of cube with a bluish orb inside of it and some sort of matrix that kept moving along with the bluish orb inside it. It seems like this miraculous technology was known as the Ether Core Server A. Based on her analysis, it easily made an energy output that was tenfolds than the sun itself. Also, it's data capacity was ridiculously high. Even putting all the supercomputers in this world together can't beat it's computational and metadata processing. It can be considered a work of wonder itself.
Which it literally is because it came from Ayumi's cheat ability.
It took her a long time to decipher how to even use this device before she manage to put all her securities in this Server and make it do all the automated process.
She have a godly programming skill so even if she doesn't have any confidence to herself, she was sure that the skills she got on her system are topnotch and can't be compared by the standard ones.
There are a lot of things she put on her security. But it all did either of the four things. Block unknown third parties, prevention of probing or backdooring, counter assault on the third party using any forms of viruses and data sabotages, and implementation of new options if flaws were detected on the first three protocols.
Thanks to her programming skill (which was ridiculously high level) along with her insane Talent and Creativity score, so she easily made what is essentially a self-evolving AI.
She made sure that the AI's priority is to just protect their computer from any malicious intent. How it does it is up to the AI.
Ayumi makes sure it won't just go on a rampage and make a Skynet event. She saw some examples of that from the shows that she watches on her past life so she took a long time checking all the codes for anything that will spur the security AI to suddenly go berserk. After making sure that nothing like that is in the codes that she made, she made it operational.
As she was feeling accomplished with her achievements, she heard the sound of doorbells.
'Who is it?' She thought to herself in confusion.
She go to the front door to greet whoever was visiting her in this evening.
Fubuki seems to have heard it because she took a small peak in her room. She wasn't streaming today because she was busy thinking of something to prove Ayumi's innocence to the people. Also, Ayumi told her not to stream for now and she should just use her smartphone today because of this hacking problem.
'Who is it I wonder?' Fubuki thought to herself. 'Wait... don't tell me...!?' she thought as she realized something.
She remembered some people from the hacked account of Kotomi telling her that they will come in this house because the hacker somehow knew their address and shared it on Kotomi's account.
Without thinking too much about it, Fubuki rushes out of her room to stop Ayumi from getting into there.
This whole day, Fubuki was checking on Kotomi's account on YouTube and Chirper and she can see that the hacker seems to be persistent on impersonating Kotomi. Using her account to answer the people who wanted to have "Fun" with her and telling them that they can even take their own camera on them to put it on a live action play.
So Fubuki wasn't thinking straight as she was exposed for too long on the malicious hacker and his attempt to make the people who doesn't know any better to rape Ayumi.
She almost forgot that Ayumi, while timid, was also someone who can easily lift a lot of utensils and dishes on the air like it was nothing.
And talking about Ayumi...
"Hey girl, we came here just like you want. Can you open this gate for us?"
"Uhmmm... no, please leave me alone." Ayumi simply said that while feeling somewhat fidgety.
Ayumi knows who these people are. They are the ones that the "Fake Kotomi" invited to her house to have some "Fun".
She reads her Chirper account as an anonymous so she knows how most people who are just horny for their own good just can't seem to get that something is wrong with this at all.
That "Fake Kotomi" also said that she won't know who are they when they came to her house and it was already the start of her "Role-playing" when she asks them like that.
So for the people here, they think that she was just making some play that will make them excited.
For them, they have the consent of the other party so they would take advantage of it.
So they tried to persuade her using a poor attempt of a "Good Onii-san" angle as they think she was playing with them.
She repeatedly denies them entry of her home, which was slowly grating on their nerves.
It was when she denied them once again that they snapped.
"FUCKING BITCH! JUST OPEN THIS STUPID GATE SO WE CAN GET THIS SHIT DONE WITH!" The guy on the front yelled in anger as he kicks the gate in his rage.
But instead of his kick meeting the steel bars of the gate, his feet somehow felt out of balance and he overextend, his kick going upwards. This causes him to land on back with a flail of his arms.
"Please... I don't want to hurt any of you, just leave me alone." She tried talking some sense to them.
"FUCK YOU!" One guy who was along with the one who landed on his back yelled in rage as he tried to touch the gates and shake it with his hands.
But his feet somehow didn't extend that right and he felt a moment of weightlessness as he falls to the ground upfront.
The other guys was getting somewhat unnerved about what is happening but driven with their desires, they tried to just hurl profanities in her way as she doesn't want to open the gate.
Ayumi was using her Psychokinesis so they won't damage her gate. She doesn't know how much the gate will hold with their strength so she was making double sure just so they can't get inside.
Of course she was only doing some minor uses of her mental power because she doesn't want to hurt the other party that much. She was just trying to discourage them to come any further and make them give up on doing whatever they are planning.
But her idea of not hurting them will vanish as she saw Fubuki suddenly passing through her and blocking their sight of her with her body.
"Stop bullying Ayumi! She already rejected you so you should give it up!" Fubuki scolded them as she tries to hide Ayumi's figure behind her.
Fubuki caught sight of them throwing profanities at Ayumi's way while Ayumi was apologizing to them and also asking them (Politely) that they should leave her alone.
It looks like a scene of bullying to Fubuki so she can't help but feel like protecting her.
Ayumi was also much shorter and younger than Fubuki. So Fubuki felt that it was reasonable for her as the senior to protect the younger one.
Though their gaze was now turned to Fubuki. And their gaze was full of desire inside it.
"Oh, so it's this kind of play."
"This would be fun. A cat cosplayer and a beautiful Loli."

That's what the other guys said with a perverted grin on their faces. Which also makes Ayumi's face darkens as she heard them.

It felt like every negative feelings in the world were suddenly poured into their being. Like a new emotion was suddenly injected to them so they will forcefully feel it.
For them, the whole world was slowly turning black as felt something beyond them was slowly moving closer into them.
'Did they just... look at Fubuki in THAT way?' Ayumi thought as she slowly walks to the gate and opens it.
Then she grabs the two guys who were on their butts on the ground and suddenly throws them at the three people gathered on the side who were still despairing at the foreign emotion that they are feeling.
With a thud, the five guys crashes into the residential wall on the side, with one of them hitting the electrical post on the intersection near this house.
"I don't care if you throw insult at me. I don't care if you hate me. I also won't care if you humiliate me." Ayumi muttered to herself with a darkness on her tone. "But trying to involve Fubuki-chan..." she steps on their side again before stepping just two steps farther than them. "... It was your greatest mistake!" She yelled before pointing her glare at them.
Along with her glare are many portals suddenly appearing out of nowhere. With these portals, many weapons of different make slowly left it.
All of these are the weapons that she got on her chests. These weapons were currently placed inside her Forbidden Room. She was using that in a fit of her rage.
But her anger quickly dissipated as she tries to calm herself down. The dark aura that she was releasing vanishes, causing them choking atmosphere to become breathable once again.
As to how she did it, it is because of her Charisma and Essence.
Charisma is the capability to become much more attractive and easily convey her meanings much easier to the other party. Essence is the capability to enact phenomena and resist that same phenomena in this world.
One of the anomalous things in this world are the so-called Souls. And soul was nourished by the energy that essentially makes it function, Spiritual Energies.
And she have a lot of Spiritual Energies thanks to her Essence score.
What she felt was essentially what her Soul also felt and due to her Spiritual Energies, her soul was much larger than what a normal human should have. It easily expands on this whole residence.
So because of it, along with her Charisma, her Soul forces the other smaller souls to feel a primal fear on her way. It is because these smaller souls can feel that the other one is much more superior on them in a spiritual way.
Yes, the five guys who came here doesn't know this but their souls were screaming to them to run when Ayumi snapped.
Only mythical beings like Archdemons or Seraphims have a large soul. Hers are much larger. It can easily be mistaken as a soul of a Deity.
Usually, Ayumi have a strict control on her capabilities thanks to her higher Talent scores. But when she snaps, all her restraints will also be lost. This will cause her surroundings to feel a primordial fear unlike any other else due to their soul being scared itself.
Anyway, Ayumi manages to control her temper once again. Her control over her full capabilities took hold once again.
No one knows this other than Ayumi. Since the start of her acquiring a strength beyond any humans, she made a conscious effort to suppress herself so she can still experience some normality in her daily life.
After calming her breathing, she looks back at Fubuki and panics when she see her looking at her with some apprehension. This causes Ayumi to feel heartbroken and she felt it was her fault.
But before she can say any apologies on Fubuki's way, the white fox shook her head and then goes to her side.
"Are you okay?" Fubuki asks as she patted her around her body.
This causes Ayumi to become confused as to how Fubuki quickly changes back to her usual self.
She was thinking that she scared Fubuki too. So she was trying to think of ways to somehow make Fubuki forgive her. But it seems like it was unnecessary because Fubuki easily took off any type of fear that she have of her.
And Fubuki is fine. Even though her soul also flinched when Ayumi laid bare her full power, it also felt somewhat safe on her presence. So Fubuki felt it doesn't matter what Ayumi does. She will believe in her.
Because for her, Ayumi is her family.
"Why are you..."
"What are you talking about?" Fubuki tilted her head in her way as she finally stops patting her whole body. "... Isn't it natural to be worried about your friend?" She said like it was a matter of fact.
Ayumi wants to say more but Fubuki quickly shuts her up with her next words.
"Your my best friend. There is no need for me to fear you right?" Fubuki smoothly says that with a bright smile on her way.
"... Right... yes your right..." Ayumi muttered to herself while feeling touched at how gentle is her friend.
For Ayumi, it was a first for her that someone praises her even if she did something wrong. Someone was willing to call her a friend that much that even if she shows her scary side, they will still stay as her friend no matter what happens.
It almost make her tear up, if not for the fact that she still have five unconscious strangers that was still lying on the street on the residence that was in front of her house.
Ayumi thought of taking care of that later before looking back at Fubuki and bowing her head in gratitude.
"Thank you." She said with a heartfelt tone of expression.

After that, they talk for a bit more before Fubuki came back inside the house. As for Ayumi, she was going to do something about these five guys.
Though she thinks there are others who will come here next day because her impersonator kept inviting a lot of guys on her hacked account.
She told to herself that she will make sure that something like this doesn't happen once again as she buys some abilities. New abilities so the people coming on her place will be dealt with much easier.
She resolved to herself that she will take her account back and track down the hacker who was trying to destroy her image and even instigate an assault on her person. She can't just take this lying down now.

So I was planning to put another section after that scene but this chapter was getting ridiculously long. Also, I was also planning to write her purchase of her new abilities at the last section but again, too long. You can see her new abilities in the status above this Author's Note so it's fine.
So this arc causes me to have a large headache. It makes me wish that I could kill the very bitchy character that I introduced here... so it seems like I am succeeding in making a villain then.
Like you, I want to get this arc done with. So I am making a longer chapter so this arc doesn't cover many chapters. It might still take two or three chapters before this arc ends. Four if something unexpected happens.
This arc widens the wound that this made into my soul. I made a content that borders on the M Ratings.
If not for certain wordings, I would have to change the rating into a higher one. So I am thankful that the english word is pretty flexible when it comes to the flower and bees topic.
I did a lot of breaks while writing this chapter because of this disgusting arc. The only thing that makes me soldier on in writing this is this story's image cover (Fubuki heals my heart!)
I should just remember that she was the Best Friend and I will be fine xD

A certain true idol, the idol's friend, a certain maid, and a festival loving girl was supposed to appear in this arc. This might be a disgusting arc, but it was already planned that they will appear here due to some of my plot points meeting the requirements on this one...

P.S. There is a big disadvantage on Ayumi's title.
