I'm back! I'm so sorry for the super long wait, I promise I'm not giving up on this story. Rose is my favorite character I've ever created and comfortable to share.

Well, how are you? How was your day?

Alright, truth, I'm wasting time, I didn't get any reviews!

Once we got to the Dining Pavilion, I jumped up right next to Ethan and stole half of his peanut butter sandwich.

"Ink!" he exclaimed while I munch away on my meal on the floor. Ick, I have to remember to grab something eat off of, but then again, we won't be here long... On the other hand, I don't feel like getting sick...

Eh, I'll be fine. I also noticed that by the time I came back to reality, my sandwich was gone! It just disappeared! I looked around me, then Ethan leaned down and whispered, "You ate it."

No. That couldn't have happened, but I didn't think Ethan would lie, so I shrugged it off, I wasn't hungry anymore anyway. I pranced in and around his legs, he laughed again and followed me to the Big House.

"So, we need to talk Chiron into giving out this Golden Fleece quest?"

My head bobbed up and down and I barked. I really want to be human for more than just like half an hour. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but this making my liking for them decline a little.

We jogged up to the four story sky blue house. I dashed in, letting my legs carry me to Chiron's office, I wasn't paying attention. Ethan was right behind me, having a little trouble keeping up. I didn't think I was going that fast.

When we came to the wooden door my friend knocked on the door and a muffled 'come in' sounded from inside. It wasn't Chiron, though, if anything it sounded like Mr. D. Ethan opened the door and I saw a frantic Mr.D riffling though all the camp files.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

I stared, dumbstruck. Was our camp director actually doing work?! What has the world become? "Uh, where's Chiron?"

Mr. D sighed, "He was fired because the tree was poisoned. I didn't realize how much he did for this camp till he got replaced. I'll miss that old horse."

"Oh... I think I know a way to get him back here."

I saw the god look up hopefully, "Yeah? How?"

"Issue a quest. Get the Golden Fleece, wherever that is. It can heal anything, including Thalia's tree." Mr.D seemed to be thinking it over, maybe we could get this mission done, then get over to LA.

He nodded, "That could work, but I'll have to talk it over with Tantalus, the new activities director. He should be here tonight."

I started pacing, I didn't we had that long, I mean with Percy knowing something was up and the di Angelo kids all the way in Cali... How was I supposed to juggle all of this? I'm 13!

"Is your dog okay?" I looked up and Ethan and we seemed to come to the same conclusion. We had to get issued now. No more waiting."

"Yeah, she'll be fine. But why should you have to wait, you are the director of the whole camp, it should be your decision. And the sooner we get those heroes out there, the sooner Chiron will be back."

I must say, Ethan makes a very good argument, he would be a lawyer. If we live that long. No, bad Rose, of course we'll make it, we have to. "True... You know what. I'll announce who's going at the campfire. Final decision."

That was as good as we were going to get, and that means we can get packed. We need a way to LA... I yawned involuntarily. I was I so tired?!

"Thank you, sir," Ethan nodded in thanks and started to leave when Mr. D stopped him.

"I like the manners, if only the whole camp would be that kind. You know, Rose tried to make small talk with me at times. I never talk back, but it was nice to listen to her babble, I wish she hadn't switched sides."

Ethan smiled, "By what I've heard she seems like a nice girl, I'm sure she had good reason to join Luke." I felt the guilt snake coil up again. Everyone was saying all these nice things, I mean I heard an angry thing here and there, but otherwise they just seemed sad that I wasn't there anymore.

I was never treated like this at camp... But what if I was and my anger for my father didn't let me see it. That night during capture the flag, Connor seemed genuinely worried, and Will was nice...

Oh my gods, I'm a horrible person, I took my friends for granted, thinking they didn't care for me. I was just another pitiful demigod that wouldn't make it past 20, but this is my family. So what my father was absent all my life. Annabeth wasn't and neither was Grover or the Stolls. I had people who cared for me and I was too blind to see it.

But what about Luke? He was always the closest to me, always right there by my side when I had a nightmare or just needed someone to lean on. Why did my life have to be so complicated?

I whined up at Ethan, showing him I was quite ready to go. He picked me up and smiled at Mr. D. I could see it was a little forced though. Even though he was a nice person, he still didn't like the gods.

"Alright, that's done, what next?"

I hopped to the ground and trotted over to the Hermes cabin, as that's where Ethan was staying. He opened the door for me and I saw the Stolls sitting on one of the bunks, and notebook between them. Their heads were together and they were whispering, laughing quietly occasionally. I shrugged it off, those two were always up to something, a new prank idea most likely.

I curled up on Ethan's sleeping bag for a quick nap, then get the Hades out of there.

I had a dream.

My feet were a human's again, and I was in this very fancy looking throne room. Hades was there, he was on a throne made of bones. That rhymed. Hehe. "Hello again. Your back soon."

"Well, we need a way to get to LA, as I can't go on a plane, and our cruise ship only travels over the water."

Hades nodded thoughtfully. "That is a problem, isn't it?"

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, but stayed silent. "I could get you to The Lotus Casino, but I must warn you, it isn't the most comfortable form of travel."

"My life isn't the most comfortable." Hades nodded, and snapped his fingers, pulling me back into consciousness.

I yelped, Ethan sitting beside me with a book open. "What's wrong?"

I took a deep breath and sat back down, I shook my head and stretched. "Hey! Ethan! You ready for the best night of your life?"

I looked over and, I think, that was Connor. I couldn't be sure though. Ethan laughed and stood up, "If you can beat the night my dad and I slept under the stars somewhere in the Rockies, then I'll be seriously impressed."

"You never mentioned your dad before," Travis, I think, said. Ethan just shrugged and stood up. It was time to find out who was going to save Thalia's tree.
