Hi guys. Today I bring a new chapter. Gwen's perspective and thoughts. Here you can see how is it going the relationship Morgana-Gwen, more or less. Here in this chapter, you can see how more or less I imagine that relationship. Well, you are going to see it in a moment, so I hope you like it. Enjoy.

I'm not own from Merlin.

"Merlin! Merlin!"

Gwen rose quickly, frightened, hearing cries near her in the gloom. She turned her head to see Morgana, wallowing in her sleep, screaming and shrieking. Another nightmare. Gwen set out to comfort her when she heard a crackle in the dark. Gwen tightened up, ready to be attacked at any moment. For a moment, she thought that perhaps Morgana's nightmare might be a real threat and not just a dream, but seeing two known figures in the undergrowth come, she brazened the idea.

"What were those screams?" asked the first figure in a powerful voice, though it could be seen that it was also frightened. The figures showed the light of fire: Arthur and Merlin.

Gwen didn't even answer. He only looked where Morgana stood, who was still sleeping wallowing between nightmares. Luckily, she no longer shrieked, though she did whisper unintelligible words. Merlin and Arthur looked at Morgana and understood.

So they all went back to sleep. What no one asked was what the two of them were doing outside the camp.

The next morning, they got up at dawn to try to continue on the road. They had to go to Engerd as soon as possible, for that was where Balinor had supposedly been seen as last. It would be a journey of about two days if they went fast, crossing the Plains of Ascetir.

Gwen found out about all that as she looked at Arthur and Merlin, who were arguing with a map in hand, taking it from each other, about how to go faster to Engerd. Morgana was sitting next to her at the ashy campfire, hoping to start the road now. Gwen had already noticed how hurt she looked, probably from last night's nightmare. So, Gwen set out to bring up the subject.

"Morgana?"

"Yes, Gwen?" replied Morgana looking at her with a little smile. That eye contact they made at the time was pretty normal for Gwen, because, being more or less friends for a few years now, that contact was very typical when things were going to be told. Secrets they kept. Gwen loved that, because whenever she had something that bothered her and couldn't tell anyone else, she would tell Morgana. And the other way around. It was an unwritten rule. But Gwen had already noticed that Morgana was taking more and more secrets to the grave lately.

"Remember last night... your nightmare?"

"Not much," Morgana replied, turning her head to the other side cutting off that eye contact. That hurt Gwen, because that simple move meant she wasn't going to reveal her secrets that she kept. With that simple move, he basically broke the unwritten rule of telling all your secrets, and that meant his friendship cracked. Morgana didn't trust her. Normally, she would tell about her nightmares and dreams, as always. But it seemed not that day. Well, she couldn't blame her, she was a lady, she could keep secrets if she wanted to.

On his face, she could see that clearly "not much" meant she did know, but she didn't want to talk about it. Gwen didn't want to be too heavy, she just wanted to help her friend, so she didn't give up and tried to get it, even if it was somewhere else in her sleep. And that road was a perfect way.

"You shouted Merlin's name" in saying this, Gwen could see Morgana's face tightening and blushing slightly. No doubt she hadn't planned to shout his name, and now she was embarrassed. But, certainly, she had already seen Morgana look at Merlin several times. She knew there was something in those two that she would never understand. She didn't know what was happening, honestly. If Morgana was really in love or had just misunderstood him. But last night in the fire... The way she looked at him...

"Did I shout that?" asked Morgana, undeniably trying to seem indifferent.

"That's right. And several times" there was an awkward silence in which Gwen continued to say: "So, in the nightmare, Merlin came out, didn't he?

"Yes. But, as I said, I don't remember much"

Gwen didn't know whether to keep trying or quit. She looked like a gossip girl trying to uncover the truth. Yes, she didn't want to look heavy. So, he decided to turn the subject to something like that. Before commenting anything, Gwen already had a rogue smile on her lips.

"What about Merlin?" she asked, and could see Morgana's funny reaction perfectly: tense and embarrassed expression, deviant look (looking everywhere but her) and, apparently, quite nervous. Gwen smiled again before she answered.

"What do you mean?" she asked without even looking at her.

"I don't know, maybe there was something you want to tell me.

"There's nothing to tell, Gwen, believe me," she replied, pulling out a little smile trying to make it look like the subject wasn't going with her.

Gwen stopped trying. That wasn't the day. Morgana had risen very quite in terms of telling what happened. In fact, now that she remembered, the day before she had already decayed. She had started cheerful and happy, then ended up serious and worried. Just like Merlin. Yes, maybe it was Merlin. Maybe Morgana knew what was wrong with Merlin? Maybe they both had the same problem? Maybe Merlin had infected Morgana? Gwen laughed at it, though she later lost the comic when she thought it might be true. Not literally infecting, but rather something like feeling just like Merlin just to see him. Yes, if she was right, Morgana hadn't been the only one to realize how the day had changed only with Merlin's mood.

"What's the matter, Morgana? Rather, what's the matter with both of you? You and Merlin haven't stopped being serious and worried. What's going on?"

Morgana took a few moments to answer, looking everywhere as if she could find the answer among the trees.

"I'm just tired"

And with that, she got up to go with Arthur and Merlin. Gwen sighed. Why was Morgana hiding things from her? Did she do something wrong? Well, yes, she could keep intimate secrets, that was obvious, which the written rule allowed. But it wasn't just that time, but lately she kept secrets. And that annoyed her. Weren't they friends anymore?

Gwen sighed again and got up, thinking about what Morgana had said. He had only referred to her, without saying anything about Merlin.

She got to where the three of them stood looking at the same map. When she arrived, Arthur raised his head and said unconvincedly:

"We will go to Ealdor, then."

Uuuu. Ealdor? Yep, I have an idea there. Do you know who has suggested going there? I suppose so. And what about Morgana? What do you think about her? What is she not telling about the nightmare? And happen with Merlin? Well, those things will be in the next days. As always, you can revise and comment, and I will answer happily. I hope you liked this chapter and tell me about what you think.

Next chapter: Arthur's perspective. Going to Ealdor. The Great Gorge of the Mountains of Ascetir. What will happen?
