Deep underneath the abandoned cemetery laid a series of a tunnels of an underground facility. From the looks of it, it hasn't been explored for long time. But there were still many things inside that were usable and active. Such as the Guardian, who was in a room the size of a garage, with only two steel fans in the back to keep the room cool. Tubes that were glowing red were attached to the Guardian under his ribs, on his back, his shoulder blades and his head. There was a bright red pad on his coat that blinking, indicating that he was recharging. Eventually, the pad simply just shined red and stopped blinking. The Guardian rose up and forcefully ripped the tubes from his body and then cracked some of his bone...
Guardian:"Charge main objective. Protect artifact testing area."
Returning to their campgrounds near the lake, Lucy, Lily, Jane and Stacey were rather happy to be back in the woods, looking to have barely broken a sweat after such a long.
Stacey:"Ah, it's good to be back."
Jane:"Yep."
Lucy:"Even though we're near a cemetery, I can't help but find these woods look beautiful."
Nigel:"Speak...for yourself!"
Dragging behind them was Haiku, Georgia, Ken and Nigel, who were crawling their way towards them. That was, until Ken passed out and Nigel struggled to get back on his feet.
Nigel:"(exhausted) I'm never...walking...that far...ever again."
Stacey:"With any luck, you won't have to."
After a little while, they come together and talk about what they're going to do next.
Stacey:"Okay. So I plan that today, we go back to the cemetery while they're still some daylight out and try to find the Guardian and take him down for nearly trying to kill us."
Ken:"How are we gonna do that?"
Stacey:"We'll split up the work load. Divide into two teams and search the entire cemetery that way."
Georgia:"The entire cemetery?"
Stacey:"...Okay, maybe not the entire cemetery. We'll search for about half and hour then meet right back here. Deal?"
Lucy:"Sounds fair."
Haiku:"That works."
Persephone:"I can live with that."
Jane:"All good."
Georgia:"No problem."
Ken:"Good enough for me."
Nigel:"No sweat."
Lily:"Yah!"
Stacey:"Good. We'll start as soon as possible."
Nigel:"What?! We just got back here, and I'm still tired! Can't we take a break?"
Stacey:"Man up, Nigel. It won't kill you."
Nigel:"Uh, it just might if we actually find the Guardian."
Stacey:"Stay strong. We're here for you."
Nigel:"...Fine.
A little while later, they were at the cemetery, which thankfully was void of any zombies like last time. Stacey's group, which consisted of Lucy, Haiku, Lily and Persephone, was currently looking around the tomb house where she first met the Guardian. So far, there was nothing and the door to the tomb remained shut.
Stacey:"(pulling on door) Grr! Why won't this open?"
Haiku:"(holding Lily) Maybe it's a push, not pull door."
Stacey:"Hmm...(tries to push door) Ugh, who am I kidding?"
Lucy:"I wonder how the others are doing."
Georgia:"We're here."
The group turned to see Georgia, Jane, Nigel and Ken coming back.
Persephone:"How was your search going?"
Nigel:"Not so great. Ken kept breaking headstones."
Ken:"Not true!"
Georgia:"True."
Ken:"So?"
Lucy:"Well, we've been busy watching Stacey trying to open for 15 minutes."
Stacey:"(tries to pry open door with stick) Open up! Open...up! Open-( stick breaks) Ah!"
Haiku:"Yeah, it's not been going well."
Nigel:"Oh joy."
Ken:"Well, I don't really see how you can open an ancient stone door like that."
And as he said that, Ken leaned against a tombstone, which then shifted to the side. And it was then that the door seemed to have opened automatically, surprising everyone.
Jane:"Like that, apparently."
Opening the door further, the group saw a flight of stairs heading down into who knows what."
Stacey:"Honesty, I wasn't expecting this."
Nigel:"You think the Guardian's down there?"
Stacey:"Only one way to find out."
Heading down the stairs, the group was encountered by...another old door. One made of steel this time. Stacey tried to give it budge, but it was just as sturdy as the last one...
Stacey:"Oh, come on."
Jane:"Hey, it's not a total loss. Look!"
Pointing downward, the group that there was a small crawl space at the right side of the door. Ken had second thoughts about this...
Ken:"Uh, tell you what. You guys, go on ahead. I'll might you later and-"
Georgia:"Come on, big guy!"
First Stacey allowed Lucy, Haiku, Lily and Nigel to go first. Then, she went, then Jane, then Ken...who go stuck, until Georgia gave him a little push with her hands...which didn't work out too well, so she kicked him straight through before crawling through herself...
Ken:"Now I see what you guys mean by 'this is getting old'."
Jane:"Come on. It's just like going through a door."
Ken:"Yeah. Only more right!"
Georgia:"Complain all you want, we're all used to it! Now get your butt out of the way so I can move!"
Moving out of the way, Ken allowed Georgia to move through the crawlspace and meet with the rest of the group. And it was then that they found themselves in an old looking hallway, with the walls and ceiling made out of steel and what looks to be some kind of control pad on the opposite side of the door. It was glowing blue and Stacey was looking at it at the moment.
Stacey:"Guys, come look at this?"
Lucy:"What is it?"
Stacey:"Looks like some kind of map."
They could see a glowing red dot on the center of the map...
Nigel:"What's that glowing dot mean?"
Stacey:"Might just be where we are right now."
Jane:"Why would the Guardian even have this?"
Stacey:"I don't think this belongs to the Guardian."
Georgia:"Than who?"
Stacey:"Maybe some people worked here?"
Nigel:"And who would that be?"
Persephone:"Uh...guys?"
All heads turned to Persephone who points to a logo on the wall. It was a red skull in the center of a cross hairs symbol. It was a bit of a shock to everyone...
Ken:"No, no, no, seriously. Who are these people?"
Nigel:"Terrorists, maybe?"
Stacey:"We'll find out soon."
They continued down one of the halls, and it just seemed to get even more dirty the more they headed in deeper. But they soon realize that they some of the darker stains are actually blood stains. This makes Stacey and her friends feel a little creeped out, but to Lucy, Haiku and Persephone, it was actually kind of cool. It got even scarier when they saw a few dead bodies on the floor, some armed, some with lab coats, all of them looking to ripped apart.
Ken:"Gross."
Lucy:"Cool."
Nigel:"Seriously?"
Haiku:"Yep."
Ken:"Weirdoes."
Persephone:"Fatty."
Stacey:"Shut up. All of you."
Eventually, they're search came to another steel door, and little bigger than the first one. They all headed in before Ken, since it would take less time for him to go through. Opening the door, which was thankfully unlocked, Ken sidestepped in, feeling his gut grind against the post of the door. But fortunately, he didn't have to struggle to much as he was able to get through by himself.
Ken:"Finally. A break from all that. Whoa."
Coming through the door, Ken saw what they were all seeing. The Guardian's charging room, though, they didn't know that. All the saw was a room filled with tubes hanging from the ceiling and a large computer that showed the silhouette of the Guardian on screen...
Lucy:"Hmm, the must be where the Guardian resides...it says here that he's...fully charged."
Jane:"Heh. Guy's like a cellphone. What do you think, Stacey? ...Stace?"
Turning to where Stacey was, Jane and the others saw that Stacey was looking at the blueprints for the Guardian that was had been the wall. It showed what the Guardian was made of, with both organic and cybernetic parts. Stacey clenched her first, seeing the same logo from before...
Stacey:"These b*...they built the damn thing...they killed Erma...my little sister!"
And then, out of fury, she slashes the blueprints in half with her whip. The rest of her friends stand there, feeling rather sorry for Stacey. She's been through a lot. But, the moment came to an end when heavy footsteps were heard coming their way. Knowing exactly who it was, the group looked around to find a way out. Luckily, there was another door leading to a hallway.
The headed out and went through the maze of a facility, that was until Nigel saw what looked to have been daylight coming from a vent. Prying off the vent, he began to crawl inside...
Nigel:"Guys! I found a way out! Come on!"
Stacey:"Nice going, Nigel.
Stacey stop by the vent and guided everyone through Following after Nigel, they all started to go through, with Jane being first, then Georgia, Persephone, Lucy, Haiku, and then...Ken.
Ken:"(got stuck) Oh great!"
Stacey:"(starts pushing) Not now! Not now! Not now!"
Pushing with her right shoulder, she was barely able to nudge him through.
Stacey:"Come on! GET MOVING!"
Ken:"What?"
Because the walls were to thick, Ken could barely hear her. Deciding to try a different way of pushing, Stacey used both hand, but wasn't able to get good traction, as her feet were slipping on the ground...
Stacey:"Okay...this isn't working! He's too big!"
She wanted to take a break, but she the Guardian's shadow just outside the door. Knowing she was out of her element here, she decided to make one last effort of fitting Ken through. Taking a few steps back, she did a running head start then rammed herself against Ken's backside. It was enough to make him pop right through.
Stacey:"About time!"
But just as she was about to go through herself, the Guardian had entered the room. Stacey was already heading through the vent when the Guardian came up and grabbed her by her long ponytail. She yelped in pain as she was pulled back into the room.
Stacey:"Not now!"
She kicked in the nuts, but he seemed unphased by that and it actually hurt her leg. So, she decided to bring her whip, wrapping around the Guardian's and pulling it back. The Guardian's arm was caught clean off and he was back away as Stacey went back through the vent as blood was beginning to spew out. However, she failed to notice that coming from the stub of the Guardian's arm was something that looked to have been growing out of it. The Guardian's new arm was going to be something more monstrous than before.
While Stacey was crawling through the vents, she grabbed hold of her hair to make sure what happened didn't happen again...
Stacey:"That...was almost too much to handle."
And with that, she continued heading towards daylight. Reaching outside, she could feel grassy ground below her hands and could see that she was back in the forest. It was then that she was offered a hand, by Georgia, to which Stacey gratefully accepted and was helped back up on her feet.
Georgia:"Glad to see you're alright."
Stacey:"Yeah...but where are we?"
Georgia:"Take a look."
Seeing her other friends nearby, they found a clearing and saw what happened to be a huge mountain not too far away from where they are...
Stacey:"Whoa...it's beautiful."
Ken:"Well yeah, but...where even are we?"
Nigel:"Yeah. Are we still near the cemetery?"
Lucy:"Either way, none of our answers will be solved here."
Stacey:"But we'll eventually have to go back. Maybe then, will things be set straight."
