Disclaimer: I own nothing

The next evening Sookie climbed out of bed to take care of her human needs. After she left the bathroom, she carefully opened the bedroom door and exited into the living room.

The house was completely dark. All of the windows were covered with metal black sheets that came out of the tops of the windows.

She stumbled through the room until she found a light switch on the wall in the kitchen. Once Sookie's eyes adjusted to the light she noticed several appliances on the counter tops that weren't there the night before. She then walked to the refrigerator to discover many of the foods that she ate every day. It warmed her heart to think about the thought and detail that Eric put into her comfort.

She found the coffee and started brewing a cup before deciding what she was going to eat. It was time for dinner but she just woke up so should she make breakfast?

Breakfast won out in the end. She thought lighters foods would be better on her stomach for flying. She poured the eggs into the frying pan and then dropped the toast in the toaster.

After she plated her food she went to sit on a stool at the island. She could hear Eric coming out of the bedroom as she picked up her fork to take the first bite.

"Did you sleep well"? He came and kissed her on the temple.

"Yes, thank you". She smiled.

"We will leave as soon as it is dark". He walked over to the refrigerator and pulled it open to retrieve a blood bag. He then went to the cabinets to retrieve a glass.

"We will dress for the evening at the queen's home but we will not sleep there". He continued while pouring the blood into the glass.

"That's good". Sookie was relieved.

"Was Pam able to acquire everything that you needed from your home"?

"She did a good job".

"Good evening, Sookie" Pam greeted.

"Good evening, Pam".

"Thank you for giving me an excuse to go shopping with Eric's money". Pam smiled.

"Anytime". Sookie returned her smile.

Sookie finished her meal and then took her dishes to the sink to begin cleaning them.

"Sookie leave those for the house keeper". Pam told her turning from the refrigerator.

"You have a house keeper"? She questioned.

"Did you think that Eric or I cleaned this house"?

"Of course not, that would be crazy". Sookie exaggerated.

"Exactly" Pam confirmed before taking a sip of her blood.

"I'm going to get ready". Sookie announced before quickly leaving the room.

Once Pam was sure that Sookie was inside of Eric's bedroom with the door closed she decided to have a conversation with Eric. "Do you think that she is ready"?

"To go to a Sheriff Summit or be tricked into becoming my wife"?

"Both". Pam took another sip of her blood.

"I don't know. She has been asking questions that make me think that she could be".

"What kind of questions"?

"Last night, she asked me how I care for her". Eric leaned on the counter.

"How do you"?

"I care for her. One day, I could possibly love her".

"She is part human with human ideas of what love is". She warned.

"I have been faithful to her because I gave my word that I would be. When she becomes my wife, I will continue to keep my word". Eric put his glass in the sink before leaving the room.

Eric proceeded into the bathroom while removing his clothing as he went further into the room.

Sookie was absent mindedly coming out of the shower and reaching for her towel. As she touched her towel she noticed Eric and scrambled to cover herself.

"Hi, Eric". She greeted in a tone to show her discomfort.

"Hello, Sookie". He returned completely oblivious.

Sookie couldn't help but take all of Eric in. "Yeah, I going to go".

She quickly left the bathroom while Eric stood in place smiling.

Sookie went over to the armoire and out a set of bra and panties and quickly put them on. Then went into the closet to find the dress Pam had given her and to put it on. After she was dressed, she exited the closet for the bathroom before she remembered.

"Nope, Eric is still in there, naked". She exclaimed before leaving the bedroom.

Sookie sat on the couch holding onto pillow thinking about when they would be in the hotel tonight after being married.

"Sookie, what are you doing out here holding a pillow with wet hair"? Pam asked confused.

"Eric is in there naked".

"I'm sure this was a new reaction for him". Pam laughed.

"Pam, this is not funny" She tossed the pillow aside and turned to her "There is a whole lot of Eric and for all intents and purposes, he was a man whore up until recently. I am terrified".

"Of what"?

"Not being enough". Sookie confessed as she threw herself back into the couch.

Pam walked over to her to look her in her eyes. "You have THE Eric Northman wrapped around you figure and you aren't having sex with him. You are enough".

"Thanks, Pam" Sookie smiled.

"Go. Get dressed". Pam shooed her.

Sookie slowly and cautiously opened the door to the bedroom.

"I am dressed" Eric confirmed for her.

"Just making sure" She continued into the room.

"Pam is correct. You have nothing to be terrified of". He told her as he adjusted his cuff and then exited the room.

She stood there in complete awe looking after him. In his own way, Eric Northman told her that she was enough.

Sookie finished getting ready in a daze. She had all she needed to go through with anything that happened tonight.

Eric, Sookie and Pam arrived at the queen's home. The queen's staff met them at the car. Eric exited the vehicle first and then held out a hand for Sookie. She took it and climbed out. She then quickly stepped to the side so that he could help Pam out of the car.

The staff met them at the car to retrieve their luggage to bring into the home.

"Is this all of the luggage for your party, Sheriff Northman"?

"Yes, it is". Eric answered understanding what the hidden question was.

They all then followed the butler into the house.

"Ms. Ravenscroft and Ms. Stackhouse may follow me. The queen has provided hair and makeup for the female guests.

Eric grabbed Pam's arm "Do not leave her side".

"Yes, master" She gave a slight bow with her head.

Pam followed the man to a set of double doors. The doors revealed a Victorian decorated room in pinks and golds. Vanities set up along the outer wall with dressing screens sporadically placed through the room.

"Ladies, come in" The queen exclaimed sitting at a vanity in a robe with her hair in curlers.

Sookie looked to Pam "Do not leave my side".

"I have no intentions of leaving you alone with her". Pam assured her.

"Good" Sookie took a sigh of relief.

"Sookie, you will come right her next to me" The queen directed her "Pam, you can go wherever you like".

"I would like her next to me" Sookie quickly spoke.

"Very well" the queen tried to hide her displeasure.

The queen was finally finished with her hair and makeup. "I will see you in the ballroom ladies". She got up from the vanity and left the room.

Sookie stood and walked over to the screen that her dress hung on. She took a deep breath as she reached up to unzip the garment bag.

"When do I give Eric the knife"? She asked Pam as she pulled her dress out of the bag.

"Right after we walk into the ballroom". Pam answered as she began to put her dress on.

"Ripping off the band aid first thing, hmm"? Sookie thought out loud pulling on one of the sleeves of her dress.

Pam walked behind the screen to help zip Sookie's dress. Sookie brushed down her dress and then walked over to the full length mirror to look at what was essentially her wedding dress.

POP

"Hello, Grandfather". Sookie turned and smiled.

"Hello, Granddaughter". He held out his arms for her to run into.

"What are you doing here"? She asked after he released her.

"Someone" He winked at Pam "Thankfully, told me that my granddaughter was getting married tonight".

"I didn't think to tell you as it would be in a house full of vampires".

"I can mask my scent".

"I'm glad that you are here".

"I have something for you" Nail holds out a crown.

"What is this"? Sookie asked confused.

"My son's crown, you are a princess and the vampires will know it". He placed the crown on Sookie's head.

"Thank you" Sookie whispered as she looked up at her grandfather.

Pam walked over to Sookie and her grandfather with the knife wrapped in velvet for Sookie to take with her.

"Here we go". Sookie smiled nervously.

Eric was in the ballroom sipping on a glass of blood while chatting with other sheriffs. He was also keeping an eye out for his bride and child.

The queen was sitting on her throne when Nail appeared beside her.

"Sophie Ann".

"Nail, to what do I owe the pleasure"?

"I am here to see my great granddaughter wed Eric Northman".

By this point in the conversation, Sookie was mere steps away from Eric.

"What"? Sophie Ann almost choked on a sip of blood.

"You already have your claws in my great granddaughter that has no Fae talent. I wasn't about to let you get them in the one that does have talents".

Sookie stopped in front of Eric and did a small bow. Eric took the bundle from her hands and unwrapped the knife. He then picked it up from its velvet wrapping and then held it to his lips before returning it to the cloth in his hand.

Pam came behind him with a pillow for him to place the bundle on.

Eric cupped both sides of Sookie's face in his hands before he kissed her with intensity.

When the kiss ended, Eric searched his new wife's eyes. "You knew"?

"I knew".

Eric reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box.

"Even though this is a vampire wedding, I want you to have these". He opened the box to reveal the wedding rings that Sookie had seen with Pam in the jewelry store.

"They are beautiful, Eric" She looked up at him with a smile.

"May I"?

"Yes" Sookie answered with a soft smile.

Eric slid the rings onto her figure and then kissed her again.

"We will stay for just a little while longer". He assured her.

"I can't wait to get out of here" She complained.

Eric escorted Sookie to the dance floor and then took her in his arms.

"You dance"? She questioned"

"Yes, I dance".

"Good to know".

Sookie laid her head on Eric's shoulder and let eh background melt away.

"Sookie? Sookie"?

"Yes"? She answered sleepily.

"I think that you fell asleep while we were dancing". Eric laughed.

"That just goes to show you how comfortable I am in your arms". She tried to recover.

"Do you want to go"?

"Very much so".

"I will go and find Pam. Then we will go". Eric turned to leave in search of Pam.

"Ok, I will get our things".

Eric stopped in his tracks. "Wait for Pam".

"I will". She answered understanding his reasoning.

Eric nodded and then continued his search for Pam.

Sookie kept her eyes on Eric as she walked off of the dance floor.

"Sookie" Hadley called.

"Hadley" She returned as she walked in her direction.

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about the knife". Hadley apologized.

"Pam told me. I would have gone through with it. I know that Eric only wants what is best for me".

"The Sookie that I remember was too stubborn to realize that of anyone".

"I'm getting wiser".

"Good luck, Sookie" Hadley waved as she walked away.

"Thanks" Sookie returned as she also walked away to look for Eric and Pam.

Sookie brushed the arm of another Sheriff in her search for her husband,

"What are you"? The vampire grabbed her by the arm as she tried to pass.

"Nothing to concern yourself with". She quickly answered trying to free her arm.

"You smell fantastic". He continued.

"I am Eric Northman's". Sookie tried to speak confidently.

"I don't see him anywhere". He continued to intimidate her.

"Back off, buddy"!

The vampire dropped his fangs and went for Sookie's neck. She held her hand up to keep him at bay but instead a blast of light shot out of her hand that sent him flying across the room.

Eric saw the light of the corner of his eye. "Sookie"!

Pam and Eric sped to Sookie's side with the fangs down. Eric examined her neck and arms.

"Are you hurt"?

"No, I'm fine. Can we go"?

"Pamela, take Sookie to the car. I have business to attend too". Eric commanded.

"Yes, master". Pam nodded before touching Sookie's arm. "Come with me Sookie".

"What business does Eric have"? Sookie demanded while following after Pam.

Pam stopped and turned towards her. "A vampire attacked his wife. He must bring him before the queen for punishment".

"I want to see". Sookie shocked Pam.

"You will stay by my side the whole time". Pam directed.

"Yes, mam" Sookie nodded.

As she and Pam reentered the ballroom, Eric had picked up the vampire that was crumpled in the floor like a ragdoll. He then carried him to Sophie Ann and dropped him at her feet.

"He attacked my wife"! Eric did not even try to hide his anger.

He could see the fear in her eyes. He was the oldest vampire in her kingdom and therefore the strongest.

The queen regained her composure. "He not only attacked Sheriff Northman's wife but a Fae princess. He will be defanged". Sophie Ann noticed Sookie standing in the audience. "Sheriff Northman will carry out the sentencing".

Eric didn't know what game that Sophie Ann was trying to play but he would not look weak. He grabbed the vampire by the back of his neck and pried open his jaw. The fangs were already exposed and so he pulled them out one by one. He then let the vampire fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes before approaching Sophie Ann with her trophy.

"My queen" He held out the fangs in his hand for her to take.

"Thank you, Sheriff". She nodded for a servant to take the fangs from Eric.

He gave Sophie Ann a bow that had no intentions of respect. As he turned away from his queen, he noticed Sookie and Pam. He paused for a moment. He did not expect to feel the emotions that he felt from Sookie. Her face did not show the disgust he expected either.

He walked over to them and took Sookie by the hand before escorting them out of the house.

Pam separated from them and climbed inside the car behind their car.

"Where is Pam going"? Sookie asked.

"Home". Eric answered simply as he held open the car door for her.

"Are we going home"?

"No, it's our wedding night". He answered with a smile.

"Indeed it is" She replied with her signature Crazy Sookie smile before climbing in to the car.

They arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the staff as they opened the car doors for them and then closed them behind. They then walked through the lobby and onto the elevator.

"We don't need to check in or get our luggage"? She questioned.

"No, Bobby took care of everything".

"That's good" She smiled up at him.

"Sookie are you alright"?

"I am fine" She answered looking at the floor indicator above the elevator doors.

"I didn't want for you to see that". He declared honestly.

"I wanted to see that. It is a part of your world. It's a part of my world, now. I needed to see what a badass you were". She replied looking into his eyes.

"Badass? That is not what I expected for you to think of me".

"Can you imagine if I were with another vampire"?

"No"

"Let me finish" She laughed "Or Bill"?

"Again no"

"Stop it! Let me finish. They would have to drag that vampire before Sophie Ann and convince her to punish him. You picked him up and threw him at her feet before demanding that he be punished. I saw the fear in Sophie Ann's eyes. The vampire queen of Louisiana is afraid of my vampire". She declared proudly.

"You surprise me, Sookie Northman".

"That's going to take some time to get use too".

"All we have is time".
