Title: Miracles From Heaven

Chapter 11

***The Next Day***

(Josslyn was trying to figure out how to see Oscar again. Her mom, Carly, kept hovering over her. Josslyn kept being the devastated girlfriend so no one would suspect anything. She was finding it difficult when she knew that Oscar was really alive. Kim never did have a doctor officially declare Oscar dead as she checked his pulse. Josslyn was young enough to know from what goes on around Port Charles that with life and death, anything is possible)

(Josslyn came down the stairs into the Corinthos living room, to see Carly and Sonny sitting on the couch)

Sonny: "Hi, Joss. How are you doing?"

Carly: "You doing okay, sweetie?"

(Josslyn can't help but get teary eyed at the question as she knew the questions were about Oscar)

Josslyn: (sniffles) "I almost didn't want to get out of bed this morning."

(Josslyn was lying through her teeth, but she needed to sound believable. She didn't want anyone to know her secret or for anyone to doubt her)

(Both get up from the couch and embrace the teen, which she accepts)

Sonny: "I know it's hard right now, Joss, but things will get better."

Carly: "Just give it time, baby. The pain will lessen and it'll get easier."

Josslyn: (nods) "I know. I think I'm going to go for a ride. I need to clear my head."

Sonny: "Do you want us to go with you?"

Carly: "We can if you want. We don't mind."

Josslyn: (smiles politely) "Thanks but I'll be okay. I just want to be alone right now."

(After breaking free, she walks to the doorway before turning around and nods)

Josslyn: "I appreciate you being concerned. I'll be okay. It'll just take time for the healing to begin."

(Josslyn makes her exit from the house)

***About an Hour Later***

(Josslyn goes to the house to see Robin Scorpio-Drake there. Robin is in Oscars room examining her patient. Robin sees the teen and offers a smile)

Robin: "Morning, Josslyn."

Josslyn: "Hi, Robin. How's he doing?"

Robin: (nods) "His pulse is extremely low but he's a fighter." (sighs) "I wish you would let me tell your mom or Kim Nero. You shouldn't be handling all of this on your own."

Josslyn: (shakes her head) "I can't. They will think I'm delusional or would probably make me see a therapist."

Robin: "Considering what you're going through, that probably wouldn't be a bad idea. But, in the end, it's up to you. I'm sure your mom and Sonny are worried about you."

Josslyn: "They are, yes. But, I'm doing okay. As long as I know that Oscar will be back to normal soon, I can handle anything."

(Robin nods and knew it was a losing battle to try approaching the subject further)

Robin: "A few things I'm trying to understand. If Kim felt for his pulse and nothing happened, how is it he had a pulse for you?"

Josslyn: (shrugs) "Simple. She felt it for about thirty seconds and didn't feel a pulse. I felt his pulse for two minutes and about four beats came. I was shocked. I didn't expect any heartbeats at all."

Robin: "Did you tell anyone about your discovery?"

Josslyn: "I thought about telling someone, but one thing stopped me. I truly felt no one would believe me or they would think I was grieving and grasping at straws because Oscar is gone. So, I wanted to help him get better. However long it took, and then tell people once he's fully healed."

Robin:" Are you prepared for the fallout for when Oscar does get better and everyone finds out that you kept him here all this time?"

Josslyn: (sighs) "I'm well aware that I'm going to have people mad at me or have some that didn't understand. I'll deal with it when it comes. Right now, Oscar's well-being is more important than any hurt feelings Dr. Nero or anyone else may have. Besides, like I said before, I don't think anyone would understand the situation. I think you and Dr. Finn are the only two that do. I want to give Oscar time to heal. It may take a while, but every patient is different. I'll be here every step of the way."

Robin: "How is your attitude regarding Oscar towards everyone? Meaning, does anyone feel that you're keeping secrets?"

Josslyn: "It gets difficult at times keeping the secret. People are worried about me. I'm trying to play the part of the grieving girlfriend. I wanted to get a place that no one knows about that I could take Oscar to. When we first started dating, we saw this place and fell in love with it. It just needed some touch ups."

Robin: "For your sake, I hope that you know what you're doing, Joss."

Josslyn: "I know what I'm doing. I just hope, in the end, that everyone will forgive me for deceiving them on what I doing regarding Oscar. Time will tell."
