(A month or two after the reopening of Great Waterton, Thomas and Stanley had been very firm friends. Though their tank engines are different classes, Thomas found that he and Stanley had quite a bit in common. As he then walked through the hallway of lockers, Stanley spotted something on the bulletin board.)

Stanley: Hey Thomas! The school's prom is coming up.

Thomas: Really?

Stanley: Yeah. In fact, it says it's tomorrow night. Are you going to go?

Thomas: Probably not.

Stanley: Why not? It's a great opportunity to have some fun.

Thomas: Because Rosie Vulcan, the new girl will no doubt think I'm arriving for her.

Stanley: Huh? But I've seen you be all fine with speaking to her and working with her.

Thomas: As a friend and peer, I'm fine with her. However, in a romantic type of sense, she's a bit hyper for my liking.

Stanley: I see. (looks at clock) Well I'd better get going to my classroom. I see you later Thomas.

Thomas: See ya!

(As Thomas then grabbed the items from his locker, he thought about the prom very hard.)

Thomas: (in mind) It's not like I don't want to go, but, more like, I'm unsure about going. (sighs) Maybe I'm just over thinking about this. After all, SHE'S probably bound to go.

(As Thomas then continued to think about HER, he didn't watch where he was going, and bumped into Lady as items from both of their arms fell to the floor.)

Thomas: (as he snapped out of his trance and helped Lady pick up her items) Oh gosh! Lady! I'm so sorry. I was still stuck about deciding on my decision for the prom.

Lady: (smiles) What decision?

Thomas: Whether to go or not. I still haven't set on a choice yet.

Lady: Well, I'm certainly planning on going. I wouldn't want you to miss out on it.

Thomas: (As he blushed a bit slightly, feeling his heart race.) Yeah. uh... I guess I'll go then. Uh... you planning on going with anyone?

Lady: (sighs) No. I'm not going to bring a date. All the guys who so far tried to ask me out on one weren't exactly my type. (Blushes as she then looks at Thomas) Are you planning to bring one?

Thomas: No. Not really. I-I haven't had a girl of my romantic liking even ask me yet.

Lady: Uh... I see. So... In that case... uh... who would you be willing to go with?

(As Thomas was about to give Lady her answer, another voice spoke to her as he came by.)

Alfred: Ah. So you're going to the prom then, Lady? I would be more than happy to make your time worthwhile for you.

Lady: (obviously irritated.) Oh really, Alfred? You are best off to wait and see! Now, IF you'll excuse me, I have a class to go to!

Alfred: (As he saw Lady turn heel and walk away.) Okay then! (turns towards Thomas and holds him against the wall.) You listen here you brat. I know of your feelings for Lady. And since I do, I fully intend to show the whole school how truly pathetic and childish you are. Once I get Lady within MY arms, you'll be bound to be crying like an infant!

Thomas: (scowls) Do you honestly think that Lady will fall for a disgraceful hag like you?! Because if so, then you are an idiot!

Alfred: Oh, I'll find a way. She's bound to fall for me more than you. For comapared to me, you are pathifec, lowly, weak, stupid, and most of all naive! you don't have what it takes to love a girl like her. (Thomas frowns) Now, do yourself a favor and stay quiet and out of my way as you see the inevitable!

?: As IF WE would!

Alfred: (as he then turns around nervously) Oh... uh... Gordon. Henry. How are you both doing?

Gordon: Fine... until You came up!

Henry: (as he cracked his neck and knuckles.) MOVE, Alfred. Now! or you'll receive a serious beating from us and the entire school!

(As Alfred then scowled, he knew that Henry was right. All the students except for him have all befriended Thomas and they WOULD beat the crud out of him if news of him doing the same to Thomas spread.)

Alfred: Fine! But mark my words, that will all change! Wait and see! (Runs off)

Grodon: (looks at Thomas.) Thomas. Are you okay?

Thomas: (Frowns even more as Alfred's words echoed through his mind.)

Henry: Thomas?

Thomas: (Gives no response whatsoever as he then stood up and walked to his class.)

Gordon: Oh no. Something's definitely off.

Henry: Do you think it may have to do what Alfred said to us as he ran off?

Gordon: No idea. But, whatever it meant, it can't be good.

(As Gordon and Henry grew worried, Thomas stayed very silent and solemn for Alfred's words kept on bouncing about in his brain. He wanted to be with Lady, but knowing that Alfred was right about him being navie, he didn't know what to do. As he then went about the school day, he said nothing to anyone, and not even a single word to Lady who grew very worried. As Thomas arrived home later that day, he didn't greet his family as he came in for he did not feel one bit cheerful. As Thomas then laid solemnly on his bed, he felt very hopeless and powerless, for Alfred's words kept sounding within him. As Thomas then felt his heart really starting to shatter, his Mother, Tanya Billinton stepped into his room.)

Tanya: Thomas. Is everything okay? (as she sat on her son's bed.) You didn't say hello to us as you came in.

Thomas: (as he sat up and began to shed tears) No. (sobs) Alfred Holden intends to take Lady away from me. Win her over you will. Make my chance of telling her how I feel, gone away.

(As Tanya then brought her son closer to her, she sighed for she had heard a great many things about Lady and could tell that he'd loved her. As she then embraced him tightly, Tanya knew just what to say.)

Tanya: Knowing that you may not get a chance to express your affection to whom you love most is heart shattering, and I almost didn't get that chance to do so with your father when his brother really rose into power so I know where you are coming from, son. (smiles) But remember, Alfred is horrid as heck, and Lady would never fall for a guy like that no matter how devious or rich he is. In my opinion, Alfred has no chance of winning Lady's heart like you do.

Thomas: He doesn't?

Tayna: No indeed. Unlike him, you are very brave, and would do anything for the people you care for. I certainly know that, for it was you who helped James after his engine crashed, went looking for Mr C when he was out of Gold-Dust, and even got in between Diesel 10 and Lady when he wanted to destroy her engine and kill her. Your engine may be small, but your compassion is big. If anyone can earn Lady's love, it's you.

Thomas: (smiles slightly) Thanks mum. (frowns) but, I still need to get something to wear for the prom tomorrow. I don't really have anything nice.

Tanya: (smiles) We'll soon fix that. It's still early enough in the day to check the stores.

(As Thomas then nodded, he and his mother stood up from his bed and walked out of the E2 driver's room to head off into town. The next day, Thomas felt much better as he walked through the hallway of lockers. The pep-talk he had with his mother made him feel very reassured about the very event that was to happen that night. As he then took some items out of his locker, he felt two familiar arms wrapping themselves around him from behind.)

Thomas: (smiles knowingly as he placed his hand affection on HER's) I'm okay now Lady. So please, don't worry.

Lady: (feeling worried) Are you sure? you looked so saddened the other day.

Thomas: I'm alright. (exhales) I'm really am.

Lady: (smiles slightly as she tightens her embrace) I'll see you tonight then.

Thomas: Yeah. Sure.

(As Lady then undid her embrace and headed off for her class, Thomas smiled, for he couldn't help but know that she did care for him greatly. However, as Thomas then went to his class, he didn't see Alfred watching from afar, scowling that the E2 driver was confident once again. The classes went as normal, and when Thomas then arrived home, he smiled as he put on his attire for the prom. Lady was very precious to him and he wanted to ensure that he'd looked his best when seeing her. As he then straightened his red tie, Thomas exited his room in a sky blue frock coat along with a navy blue waistcoat with matching trousers. As he then headed down stairs, he had a smile across his face. Meanwhile, Lady too was making her final preparations for the prom. She had a dark pink strapless dress with golden accents and a gold band around the bust area, and was sliding on her long fingerless gloves that matched it. As Lady then saw that she was all set, she exited her room in the workshop to go see Burnett.)

Burnett: (as he saw Lady exit her room.) My, you look very wonderful, Lady.

Lady: Thanks Burnett. I just hope I get to dance with who I wish.

Burnett: I'm pretty sure you will.

(As Lady then smiled, she Gold-Dusted away to the school to join up at the prom. A little later, as Thomas arrived, he was met by Percy and Toby.)

Percy: Hey Thomas! You made it!

Toby: What made you change your mind?

Thomas: I decided to go because this may be the best time and chance for me to admit my feelings to Lady.

Toby: Makes sense. I did see her arrive, so you could dance with her during the next slow song.

Thomas: (Obviously liking the idea) Right then. Wish me luck you two.

(As Thomas then quickly went off to find Lady, he was really hoping to have a great time with her. However, this won't be the case. As the slow song then began, Thomas saw Lady, but within the hands of Alfred as he danced with her. Feeling both shocked and heartbroken, Thomas darted out of the gym where the prom was held, as tears formed in his eyes. But the 14 year old didn't reckon Lady spotting him as he dashed off.)

Lady: (gasps) Thomas. (Scowls as she then faced towards Alfred.) You utter jerk! (slaps him)

Alfred: (As he stepped back in shock) Uh... Lady... Why did...

Lady: Why did I slap you?! Because you wanted to humiliate Thomas!

Alfred: But... I would never...

Lady: Don't lie to me! I saw that smug look as he came by here. (turns heel) You are such a richard, Alfred.

Alfred: But... You can't just simply dump me on the night we get together!

Lady: I never said that I was dumping you, nor did I say I was won over by you. If anything, I was merely preparing for the one who I REALLY wanted to dance with.

Alfred: What do you mean by that?!

Lady: (As she stopped by the door to head outside.) What I mean Alfred, was that I was only using you as a warm-up.

(As Lady then left it at that, she exited the gym as Alfred then served will anger. His plan had failed miserably and there was nothing he could do about it. As Lady then ran through the hallways of the school, she spotted Thomas standing sadly next to a wall, sobbing.)

Lady: (gasps as she then walked towards him.) Thomas.

Thomas: (as he heard her voice.) Lady. (sobbing) I guess Alfred was right. I'm nothing more than a bratty kid who just cries like an infant.

Lady: (gasps as she then places her hand affectionately on his cheek) No, you're not. Thomas, Alfred is just a jealous person who is too pompous and prideful to accept the fact that he's wrong. You on the other hand, actually stop to think about your actions whether you were right or wrong. If they were the right actions of course you'll be full of pride. If wrong, you think about how you could've done better, and feel remorse. It's due to knowing the right and accepting the wrong that your engine was given the number they give.

Thomas: (smiles slightly) yeah. You're right. (frowns again) But, even with that in mind I...

Lady: (just knowing what Thomas was about to say.) Thomas, I was only using Alfred as a warm up. So, I'm sorry I made you feel this heart broken. I never meant it. (As tears were forming in her eyes.) On that day when you went missing, I was so scared. The warming and comforting aura you had was one I didn't want to lose, and I was so scared for I might've. Then when you returned, I couldn't be more reviled. (as she then stepped much closer) I never meant to hurt your feelings, Thomas. I really didn't.

Thomas: (as he then felt Lady's affection.) (smiles.) You have always been a very beautiful and sweet girl, Lady. And it really shocked me to the core, that Diesel 10 and Boomer wished to kill you. You did nothing wrong to them, and yet, they just wanted to kill. I couldn't stand for that, so I guess I just grew a desire to protect you from people like them on the day we met. (Exhales bravely as he then gently wipes away Lady's tears with his thumb.) So please don't you dare cry. I don't blame you for what happened tonight. I know that you wouldn't be so cruel to someone whom you care for. If there's anyone to blame on my heart getting shattered, it's Alfred.

Lady: (smiles as she felt Thomas's gentle touch) Thomas. So you're not mad?

Thomas: Why would I be mad with you? As I said, Alfred was the one all at fault here, and you just fell for his scheme. We both have.

Lady: (as she then looked at Thomas lovingly) Yeah. We both have.

(As Thomas and Lady looked at one another, their hearts pounded, and their eyes glistened under the moonlight. They both indeed have fallen for not just Alfred's schemes, but for each other. As Thomas then gently pulled the girl he loved forward more, Lady instantly knew what he was trying to do as she too closed her eyes and came into a kiss with him. The teens then held this gesture of affection for a solid minute before separating their lips, and smiling at one another.)

Lady: It looks like I finally got one thing I came for. I still kinda want the dance though.

Thomas: I'll be more than happy to give to you, Lady. Come on, we better hurry back to the gym.

(As Thomas and Lady then quickly went back to the gym, they couldn't wait to finally have the time they wanted together during the main event. When they returned, it had grown pretty late, and the prom was nearing its conclusion.)

Thomas: I hope we weren't too late.

Percy: Thomas! Lady! You both made it just in time! They're about to play the final slow song!

Lady: (sighs in relief) Oh good.

Thomas: Let's get in position.

Lady: right.

(As Thomas and Lady then got ready to dance, they both saw Alfred being literally kicked out of the prom by Donald and Douglas. The Scottish twins and the rest of Thomas's friends were furious by what Alfred did, and wanted the B12 driver out. As the final song played, Thomas and Lady smiled for THIS was the moment they both wanted. As the two tank engine drivers danced many found them to be a very splendid sight indeed, and even Rosie Vulcan who crushed on Thomas very badly had no complaints. As the prom then ended, Thomas and Lady did not let go of one another's hands, for they deeply loved one another. However, though this particular night was also another peaceful one for Thomas and the student drivers in the school of the NWR, THAT was pretty soon going to change in the next coming days as a teen in crimson watched Thomas from the shadows, sneering evilly as he dreamed of seeing him bleed.)

?: Enjoy your time, Thomas. Soon, that will all change. For I will end it all for you... My pathetic little Brother. (Sneers)

TO BE CONTINUED IN THE SEASON FINALE.

(End of Episode)

Thomas: Here's the next episode's preview. After my time with Lady at the prom, our relationship as lovers was going pretty well, however, when a murderous teen comes charging into our classroom, I began to shiver in fear, not just for he was putting us in danger but for my past with him.
