"Ben," she breathed—she breathed, a smile spreading across her bloodied face.
And suddenly they were kissing, holding each other tightly for fear of losing each other again.
After what felt like minutes, they pulled apart.
Ben's eyes were welling with tears, but he knew that wasn't the only reason everything was blurring.
Rey's smile faded.
He gave her a smile of his own, just to let her know that everything was fine. He was going to be okay.
So he smiled, and focused on her face, her beautiful face full of fear and sorrow, as his eyes fell shut.
