As the sky grew darker and night had fallen, Midoriya became increasingly worried.

Midoriya nervously followed Mina to wherever she was leading him, until she suddenly came to a stop.

"I'm getting that same feeling I got when Bakugo lead me away from the dorms to talk." Midoriya thought.

The cold air of the night caused both of them to shiver.

"I had better be on my guard, just in case." Midoriya thought.

"Ashido, we could've just talked back at the dorms." Midoriya pointed out.

"No, I couldn't risk having Jiro listen in on our conversation." Mina said.

"Why would Kyoka hearing us be a problem?" Midoriya asked.

"Because, this concerns her too." Mina answered him.

"Then why not bring her here as well?" Midoriya asked.

"Because I want to get your honest thoughts without you having to be cautious with her around." Mina said.

"My honest thoughts on what?" Midoriya asked.

"Midoriya, do you like Kyoka?" Mina asked.

"Mina, we've talked about this and we're not together." Midoriya said.

"That's not what I asked you." Mina said.

Midoriya's eyes nervously darted back and forth, doing anything to avoid eye contact at that moment.

"Midoriya, please, just answer me." Mina said.

"Why is it any of your business?" Midoriya questioned her.

"Because the two of you are my friends and this whole situation is clearly having an impact on you." Mina said.

"If you must know… then yes, I may have an attraction towards Kyoka." Midoriya hesitantly admitted.

Mina's stern gaze suddenly softened, becoming an excited grin.

"So, what's the plan?" Mina asked.

"Plan?" Midoriya said, in confusion.

"Are you going to tell her?" Mina asked.

Midoriya sighed and thought about it for a moment, despite his desire to say yes.

"I don't know." Midoriya said.

Mina's expression changed again, this time to a look of irritation.

"No, that's not an option." Mina said.

"What?" Midoriya asked.

Mina pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

"Who are you calling?" Midoriya asked.

"Toru, we're going to help you." Mina told him.

"Mina, this isn't necessary." Midoriya said.

"It is when the future happiness of your friends is on the line." Mina said.

"I get the feeling that she's way more invested in this than we are." Midoriya thought.

"Alright, fine, I'll play along." Midoriya said.

"You will?" Mina asked, in surprise.

"Yes, but on one condition." Midoriya said.

"What's that?" Mina asked.

Midoriya grabbed Mina's phone and ended the call before it could go through.

"I don't want to end up having the whole class be part of this, if you're going to help, it'll just be you." Midoriya said.

Midoriya wanted the least amount of attention he could get, just in case this whole thing ended up failing.

"I don't want to embarrass Kyoka like that, in case she doesn't like me, she doesn't deserve that." Midoriya thought.

"Deal." Mina said.

Meanwhile.

Kyoka cringed as the noise continued to grow more annoying to her.

"Why can't people just be quiet?!" Kyoka thought.

Kyoka couldn't take it anymore and decided to talk to Izuku, the one person who understood.

Kyoka exited her room and made her way down to his.

She knocked on the door, but received no answer.

"He might be asleep, but then again, knowing him, he's probably out somewhere to train." Kyoka thought.

"If you're waiting for Midoriya, he still isn't back yet." Mineta said.

"Sorry, did he go out to train?" Kyoka asked.

"No, Ms. Ashido requested his company." Aoyama answered her.

"Mina?" Kyoka thought, in confusion.

"I wonder what she would want with him." Kyoka accidentally said, out loud.

"Midoriya is so lucky, having Ashido all to himself." Mineta said, in jealousy.

Kyoka's earphone jack extended out, stopping right before reaching Mineta.

"It isn't like that!" Kyoka shouted.

This time Mineta wasn't outright terrified, too distracted by his jealousy towards Midoriya to care.

"How would you know?" Mineta asked, accusingly.

"I don't." Kyoka said.

Kyoka stood there, with her gaze set towards the floor, hanging her head in worry and doubt.

"He's right, I don't really know, but it couldn't be like that, right?" Kyoka wondered.

"That's what I thought." Mineta said, smugly.

Kyoka's earphone jack slowly returned as she started to walk away.

"It's fine, I'm sure that they're just talking and even if they aren't, then that's their business, not mine." Kyoka thought.

As Kyoka returned to her room and got into her bed, she struggled to fall asleep.

After a couple of minutes, she looked up at the ceiling as a certain memory of Midoriya came to mind.

She remembered that night when he had first asked for her help and how he had fallen asleep beside her.

Kyoka smiled at that memory, unknowingly grabbing her pillow and holding it close to her for comfort.

When she realized what she was doing, her first instinct was to let go and put it back.

Instead, she held on, whispering something that she didn't think that she would admit.

"I wish you were here, Izuku." Kyoka whispered.
