Ok then, it's time for another update and I hope you are all doing well! So now we are in the final third act of the story and as you can imagine things are all about to kick off and you might in for a shock at the end. There is also something from the comics that Felicia did in the comics that decided to include here for this chapter...

But I won't say much so thus...begin reading!

Chapter 14

Back In Black

In their apartment, the Parkers were enjoying themselves over a meal with Peter and Felicia reflecting for May on the many adventures they had encounter as Spider-Man and Black Cat and during all this, Peter couldn't help but smile at seeing how well May and Felicia were getting on.

He would admit that when Felicia and his aunt first met, it was first to say that Felicia's party type mood was a contrast to the 'girl-next-door' persona that was in Mary Jane and the girl that May had hoped that Peter would end up eventually. The two women did not seem like that ever get along which did worry Peter but thankfully, either this was down to May coming round to Felicia or Felicia being very charismatic towards Peter's aunt, they were now close and all the stories that May heard of what Felicia had been able to do to help Peter's confidence only strengthen her respect for Felicia.

It was during one conversation in which May was talking to Felicia about her late husband and reflected on how they met, their courting and eventual marriage. Peter did not need to say a word and was more than happy to see the most important two ladies in his life do all the talking, however it was also during this time that they didn't have the TV on for if they did, they would've been aware of the drama events that the city was started to find itself in.

Instead, the three of them were oblivious to all this and the question was how they were supposed to know the important news. The answer came when Felicia was replying to something from May, her phone began humming which indicated a text message was coming through and Felicia quickly looked down at the message on her phone, read it, then her face went as white as her hair and her expression was one of fear and this did not go unnoticed by Peter.

"Felicia? What's wrong?" Peter asked and there was a long silence from his wife.

"It's my Mom," Felicia uttered. "The TV…put on the news channel. She…she says there is something we have to know...oh Christ."

Peter quickly rushed into the main room, grabbed the remote and switched on the TV not knowing what Felicia's mother would call up randomly…unless it was something serious.

Felicia and May had just walked into the main room just as Peter found a news channel which would reveal to the three of them as to what was going on; soon both Peter and May had expressions much like Felicia and for good reason.

Neither of them could say anything at what they were watching. The TV was showing a large humanoid creature that was causing chaos in the streets of New York, flipping vehicles over with great ease, people panicking in the streets and running for their lives, police trying and failing to control the monster who simply swatted them away with ease.

"Good God what is that?!" Aunt May gasped.

Peter didn't reply. His eyes were wide as saucers plates as even though he didn't know who this person was or where he came from, but not only he knew that this was not just yet another crazy masked criminal but some more…alien.

"Oh shit," Peter uttered and stumbled backwards in pure shock.

"What's wrong?" Felicia asked looking at her husband's reaction before looking back at the TV and feeling that there was something familiar about this creature causing anarchy in the city. A horrible thought gripped her. "No…is that…?"

"It is," Peter confirmed, "it's the Symbiote."

Even though May didn't know much about the Symbiote despite how her nephew tried to make it sound easy for her, she could that the Symbiote had fallen into the wrong hands and that hundred, if not thousands, of lives were in grave danger.

"Peter, I thought you said you got rid of it?" May asked.

Her nephew though covered his face with his hand as he thought about how his failure to simply look down the bell tower to make sure that no one was down there had come back to haunt him. "I did…but…I just wanted to get out of there that I didn't bother to check to see if—"

"But how could you have known someone was there?" Felicia interrupted. "That wouldn't have been your fault there."

Then yet another horrible thought flooded Peter as he stared at his wife in horror. "Oh God I've just realised something…whoever was down there must know who I am!"

Felicia and May were silent and all three stared at the TV seeing the creature opening its huge mouth and making a demonic roar with a long, thick tongue swirling in the air. The thought of not only trying to fight that monster but with it also knowing Peter's secret identity was a terrifying process. But that wasn't all.

"You know what else that Symbiote could do?" Peter added. "I'm sure it knows all my thoughts. Being bonded it takes chunks of your memory too which means that…"

He paused and glanced back at both his wife and aunt and only then he realised just how worse the situation seemed to be of those close to him could be in danger. While he knew his wife could do well on her own, his Aunt May was surely a target.

"Aunt May, I think you could be in danger," Peter said in fear.

"If so, what should we do?" May asked but Peter didn't have an answer.

He was silent, shocked, and felt like it was all his fault letting the Symbiote out there in the open and that whoever had it had truly awesome powers that Peter had no clue as to how strong the Symbiote could be in a fully bonded form.

The brunette simply fell onto the couch, sitting there with his head in his hands. "What have I done?"

"Done what?" Felicia questioned looking down at him.

"All this!" Peter snapped looking up at her. "If I had managed to destroy the Symbiote when I had the chance, all of this would never had happened!"

Felicia shook her head. "Don't you think—"

"But it is though!" Peter added in anger. "I've let everyone down and I'm not really capable of being a hero…I'm sorry…"

He looked at his lowest point, all the goodwill that seemed to happen after his reveal to Aunt May and the subsequent weight of his shoulders had been shattered thanks to these sudden events. But Felicia was not going to give up on her husband.

"Peter, look at me," Felicia ordered, her commanding tone not like her. "Don't you ever dare think that you are not a hero. You are not just any hero, you are this city's hero, your aunt's hero but also mine. Have you forgotten what you've done for me?"

Her husband looked up at her and she carried on speaking. "When I first met you, I was irresponsible; nothing more than a thief and I'll admit I thought you needed to loosen up. But after spending time with you and seeing what you mean to people in this city…you inspired me, I fell in love with a man who would sacrifice anything to make sure those close to him were safe and I changed to be a better person because of you. When we married, we promised to stick up for each other and no way in hell am I going to let you give up so easily, Peter. I love you with every inch of my heart. We're going to win this battle."

A long silence fell upon everyone in the room and May smiled at seeing how much Felicia had been changed for the better thanks to her nephew and how much Felicia was willing to help Peter.

The broken spirit hero stared up at his wife at her speech and how much his actions had really meant a lot for this woman who if not for him, she might have still been on a life of crime. "Felicia I…"

Felicia did not let him finish as she knelt and placed her finger on his lips. "Shhh, don't say anything. We're going to win this because together we are stronger."

Peter did not know why, but he did feel a small ray of hope in his heart that he could make a difference, but there was one problem he just realised. "Thanks, but…my suit."

"What about it?" Felicia asked.

"When I first bonded with the Symbiote, it took over my Spider-Man outfit and I lost it when I got rid of the Symbiote," Peter explained. "I haven't got a spare one, Felicia. What am I going to do?"

The platinum blonde woman smiled, stood back up again, and headed into the bedroom with Peter and May looking at each other not knowing what Felicia was up to. When she returned, she was carrying a black bundle of something in which Peter could not tell what it was.

"I'm glad you asked that question," Felicia replied. "Here's something I made earlier."

Before Peter could reply, his wife threw some black cloth at him which Peter caught and then saw what it was. It was a mask. Those large white lens eyes and a webbed pattern that look similar to his own yet the only difference was the webbing was white.

He then looked over back at his wife and she had unfolded what she had in her hands to let hang out what was much to Peter's amazement was another Spider-Man outfit. Not just any Spider-Man outfit, it was black like the Symbiote suit though much like the mask, all the web patterns on it were white and the spider symbol on the front and back were in white too. He had to admit it looked impressive and might complement with Felicia's Black Cat outfit, but…

"Felicia, how did you?"

"Made it myself," Felicia admitted. "My mother's hobby was being a tailor and, well, some of that as you could see passed on to me. I know, I have a few talents you didn't think I have, huh?"

"Why did you do it though?" Peter asked.

"I know you had the Symbiote suit at the time," Felicia replied. "But I had the feeling that one of these days you'd need a back up and so I thought 'why not?' and thus…here we are."

Peter glanced over at his aunt and didn't know what to think about all this before looking back at his wife who at this point walked over to him and handed him the rest of the suit for him to examine up close.

"Felicia I…I don't know what to say," Peter uttered. "But why black?"

His wife coughed nervously, and a small blush emerged. "Well, to put it mildly…I did like you in black personally."

If it wasn't for the fact that Aunt May was there, Felicia would have said something with a bit more obvious sexual enjoyment of seeing her husband in that tight black spandex, mainly of seeing all those muscles on him, so thus Felicia had to keep it clean as possible, though the expression on May's face told her that the elder woman could see right through her as to why she wanted him in black.

Nonetheless though Peter held up the mask in front of him and stared into the lens of the mask, almost as if they were telling him to go out there and save the city from danger. At last, he looked up at his wife with a smile.

"Ok then. Any ideas before we go?"

XXX

New York was in a state of panic for one obvious reason...Venom. Though New York had seen it's fair share of larger-than-life villains but surely the city had never seen anything so terrifying than this new menace than what called itself Venom.

Within that horrifying body though was a man called Eddie Brock who had all but lost any sense of his humanity as his lust for power and revenge on those who humiliated him had consumed much like the Symbiote.

It was however that Venom was taking cover on a rooftop as police helicopter was flying overhead and a megaphone on the bottom was blaring out a message for anyone in the streets to remain inside their homes until they had put down the monster. Venom chuckled, hiding under a water tower, at how much the city seemed to lose itself whenever a crisis hit yet a voice inside Eddie's mind hit upon a thought.

This city is surely ours for the taking.

"What'd you mean?" Eddie asked behind the second skin of the Symbiote.

You've seen what great power I have granted you...with it we can achieve much more."

Eddie was silent; confused at what the Symbiote was saying and the voice in his mind chuckled sensing the human's mystified thoughts.

Yes, Brock. With our powers we can spread our powers out to all in this city. Everyone in this city can be consumed by our powers in which all shall have the Symbiote.

"But wouldn't we lose power?" Eddie noted.

On the contrary, they shall worship us, and we shall be the masters of this city and eventually the world. With our power and an army at our disposal, nothing can stop us…alas for two.

Eddie suspected he knew who. "You mean the Parkers."

Correct, Brock. We may have great power but that Parker even without what I gave him is still a foe that is dangerous and with his partner known as Black Cat, they together could potentially take us down and everything we have been working for will be destroyed.

"What are we supposed to do then?"

We must even the odds in our favour; a partner of our own if you will.

Eddie then began to see were the Symbiote was coming from. "I see, and if we do find someone, then Peter and, what's her name, Felicia? Will die?"

Certainly, have two symbiotes for them to fight will be futile and once they have fallen then there will be no one else to stop and will allow for us to infect this city.

Eddie glanced up at the towering skyscrapers; the thought of all New York and perhaps maybe even more was a truly incredible thought that never in his wildest dreams he thought would ever be possible. Alas, there was one question he did have though.

"But who do we find to help us?" Eddie questioned. "Surely it can't be anyone, right?"

You are correct, Brock. You will know in the memories of Peter I presented to you which showed of a man he brutally beat up.

"You mean that Kraven guy?" Eddie replied. "Never thought Peter would go as far as murder."

Not quite yet. There is still a chance he might have survived and if so, his already impressive skills will be perfect to work alongside us. But we must be quick if he is still out there.

"But where do we find him?"

I think I may have one idea…allow me to lead you the way, Brock.

Even though there was a heavy presence by the police seemingly to scan all the city for Venom, the monstrous creature began leaping across the rooftops with the voice in Eddie's mind leading the way to where it suspected to track down where Kraven might be.

Thanks to the huge power in his legs which helped with the giant leaps from rooftop to rooftop, it wouldn't take long for Venom to arrive in an area of the edge of the city that from Peter's memories seemed familiar and it was then he realised that he was by a sewage area and knowing that this was the last place that Kraven was last seen seemed like an obvious place where he might be.

Question now was trying to find a needle in a haystack which was of course Kraven.

I can sense his smell…we are getting close.

Sure enough, Eddie in the Venom body was starting to get a strong smell in him that was not like anything he would smell before. Was this what human flesh smelt like according to an animal? Regardless he followed the smell in the area in where it was getting stronger and it led Venom towards a beach area that was more like a retaining wall for the city in case of floods and from this his eyes caught sight a figure lying on it's back motionless.

At first, he thought it was some random hobo but as he got closer the smell only got more stronger and the figure became only the clearer to him. There lying in a bloodied, wet, likely washed up and in a utterly butchered state was Kraven the Hunter who despite all the odds was still alive but barely hanging on with the small breathes he was letting out. Exactly how this man had survived everything that had been thrown at him was nothing sort of a miracle but that did not matter, just at the Symbiote hoped Kraven was still alive but looked to be dying a slow and painful death.

Excellent, now let me show you show you of a perfect example of how others will be infected.

Venom's large body landed by Kraven and he peered down, and the bloodied body and the hunter could only look up with his eyes as if every bone in his body was broken.

"Ugh…Is…is this…death?" Kraven wheezed out in pain.

"Not quite," Venom replied, amused that the man didn't seem that fazed he was talking to a large alien monster. "But you won't revenge on the Spider-Man, don't you?"

Kraven snarled in anger at the name. "The bastard tried to kill me. What do you know that will help?"

Venom stood back and raised his arms up in the air for something that was about to happen. "With me…revenge and power but on one condition…help me hunt down Spider-Man."

"F-Fine," Kraven coughed up blood, looking like death was about to grip him in a matter of moments…but that didn't happen.

His consent was all that Venom needed as suddenly black tentacles shot out from his body and began to cocoon Kraven and with in a matter of moments from that black cocoon was another tall and, powerful and alien figure like Venom that had red markings across its body. All in all, a truly terrifying sight.

Venom chuckled and had only one thing to say to his new helper. "Excellent…welcome to the family. The odds are in a our favour now."

Oh snap! Kraven's back and he's a Symbiote! You'll notice his description sounds similar to another Symbiote monster in red...yes, Carnage. However I haven't mentioned him by name for good reason as I did seriously toyed with the idea of making Kraven Carnage though I wasn't sure if that would go down well so I want to ask you all a question...should it be Kraven as Carnage in the story or should Kraven should still be his own character? You decide in the reviews.

Also you'll notice that Felicia made Peter a new Spidey suit as in the comics. And yes, Felicia likes her husband in black and in case you are wondering, the idea of the black suit that Spider-Man has is based on the symbiote Black Cat cosplay in which has the white web pattern so yeah...they are now a matching pair! Now for the reviews:

NeoTyson - Always good to see Peter with May and Felicia as you said and that now May knows about Peter's secret...probally a good thing for what might lie in store ahead!

Akira-Hayama - This is an answer to both your reviews as I don't know if you last review got lost but hey ho, must be problems. Yes, Venom now knows about many of Peter's secrets which only makes things more dangerous for the Parkers! And with the black suit, you were half right as now they are still a matching pair though this time Peter's suit won't control him, haha! Always do love writing May and Felicia scenes, there really aren't enough of them sadly and regarding JJ's reaction, yes, you know things are bad when he is acting like this!

Lelouch2618 - Oh yes, May would've taken care of the Symbiote in her own way that's for sure!

Marvel Nerd - Thank you, hope you are enjoying the rest of the story!

So yes, buckle up for the next update and please review for more! Until then...catch you guys later!
