In the car on their way home was surprisingly silent. Ed was watching the road, and Olivia seemed to be wrapped up in her own thoughts. She hadn't said a word since she'd signed the discharge forms. Ed had been so excited about getting Olivia home, but now it seemed Olivia was having doubts. Leaving the hospital, Ed had put his hand in Olivia's, only for Olivia to pull away without saying a word. Ed had hurried on ahead, struggling to hide the hurt in his eyes.

Ed made the decision there and then to ask Olivia. Pulling the car off the main road into the car park, he turned off the ignition. Olivia was suddenly aware that the car had stopped moving and she looked up expecting to be outside Ed's apartment building but they weren't- they were in a car park.

'Ed Why did you stop, is everything okay?'

'No Olivia, not really'

'What's wrong?'

'Isn't that a question I should be asking you?'

'What do you mean?'

'Care to tell me why you pulled away from me in the hospital'

'I… I didn't mean to… I'm sorry'

'Do you realise how much that hurt me and upset me? I have been so excited about you coming home and now it's happening, you seem to be withdrawing. Are you having second thoughts?'

'I…'

'I take it that is my answer. I knew this was too good to be true.'

'Ed I'm not having doubts. I'm just scared'

'Of what?'

'Losing you, hurting you, ruining this. I'm rubbish at relationships and now I'm out of hospital everything has suddenly become real. Ed, I am not having doubts about us. I know what I want, and that is you, but I am just scared now that I've been discharged everything intensifies'

'But why did you pull away from me Olivia?'

'Ed, I was feeling scared and rubbish. I felt your hand on mine and I didn't want to let you feel my fear so I pulled away'

'Oh Olivia, I don't care if I feel your fear. I thought you'd pulled away because you didn't want me anymore'

Olivia immediately reached out and covered Ed's hand with her own

'Not now, not ever will I stop wanting you, okay?'

'Okay' Ed squeezed Olivia's hand delicately

'Home?'

'Home' said Ed, flashing Olivia a smile and turning the engine back on. As he reversed the car around, he felt Olivia's hand on her thigh.

'I do love you, you know that right?'

'I believe you have mentioned it once or twice Olivia. You know I love you as well'

'I do'

'Hi there madam, how may I help you?'

'Hello. I am sorry to bring the children with me, but I wasn't sure what else to do'

'That's not a problem don't worry. How can I help you Miss…'

'Miss Taylor I may be worrying about nothing, but this is so unlike them.'

'I don't understand Miss Taylor

'Sorry. My bosses never came home today. They always let me know when one or both of them are on the way I'm their nanny for their sons'. My one boss Olivia was discharged from hospital this afternoon and they were on their way back, but they never came back.'

'May I have their names please?'

'Ed Tucker and Olivia Bendon. The boys are asking for their parents and I don't know what to say to them.'

'Don't worry, you've come to the right place. I will talk to my officers, who will come and take some more details. We will start with the missing persons report'.
