Ep.14: Sora VS Sasuke
We see Anko listening to a headset.
" Anko we haven't located Orochimaru but we've found a possible victim... it's a man from the Sand Village."
" Have the blood samples sent to our trackers. Over and out." - Ordered Anko.
Anko feels a pain on her neck.
" ( He's close by.)" - Thought Anko.
Cutover to the participant bench.
" ( I wonder what Tenten will bring to the table? I've fought against 2 of Gai's students One who was like a moving mountain and the other like tornado equipped with x-ray goggles but I've only seen Tenten use basic techniques with her staff she might know some wicked magic.)" - Sora mentally speculated.
" All right as you've been informed with our pamphlets our next match will be between the winner of match 1 Sora..."
" BOOOO!"
" Die in a fire cheater!"
" ...And Tenten!" - Anko said completing her sentence.
" YAAAAH!" - The audience screamed like a unified entity.
Sora and Tenten arrived on the field.
" Match 3 Ready...FIGHT!"
Sora and Tenten clash as the song Never by Moving Pictures plays in the background.
" ( You've only prepared for Neji you little upstart but you won't last a second against my new jutsu.)" - Tenten thought as she thrusted her staff at Sora's skull.
Sora endured the attack and eventually slashed the girl 4 times ending with rotating slash that pushed her a few feet away.
Tenten drew a spread of shuriken and hurled them at the swordsman who deflected 4 of them with a single block but as a 5th shuriken collided with Sora's blade it exploded knocking Sora on his back.
" Good job Tenten. ( Sora didn't realize Tenten was using his basic survival instincts against him. She did this by using a shuriken etched with a combustible seal, Sora expected her to only be using regular shuriken but as soon as the projectile made contact with something dense the enchantment unleashes a grenade like explosion that would even be a problem for armored opponents.)" - Gai silently commentated.
Tenten chanted words as her staff became surrounded by an aura of blue chakra she then whirled it above her head as Sora slowly recovered.
" What is she doing?" - Sora queried.
Suddenly Sora noticed blue energy leaving his body.
" (She's draining my MP.)"
" Heh-heh. This is the technique that will get me promoted. Jiang Shi Vortex!"
Sora walks towards her.
" You fool you should be trying to to avoid me I'm draining all your Chakra without it you'll be on the verge of death."
Sora ignores her as Tenten drained his entire MP meter clean.
" Such plentiful chakra and yet you can't do anything with it. Let me show you what you're missing out on!"
Tenten stopped whirling her staff above her head and performed a diagonal swing.
" What? There's supposed to be a crescent wave of chakra slamming into your skeletal frame."
" You probably didn't get the memo Tenten but I don't use Chakra I use MP."
Sora ran towards Tenten and slashed her with an air combo ending with a Hurricane Blast splitting her skull open killing her.
" Those 2 energy concepts are fundamentally different." - Sora says to her corpse in a crouched position.
" Winner Sora!" - Anko declared.
Anko observes Sora as he heads towards the participant bench.
" ( We don't train Slave Soldiers outside of intense physical exercise, basic stealth techniques and tracking tests how did this motherfucker get so effective in a month?)"
We see Gai standing over Tenten's corpse clenching his fist.
" Sigh." - Gai reacted as anger turned to grief.
Kakashi grabbed Gai's shoulder.
" Gai..I'm sorry about your losses."
" Don't be Kakashi you should be proud to have such an exceptional student on your team."
" Don't ever call him my student again." - Kakashi threatened.
" Is subordinate fine?" - Gai asked in a cold tone restraining his sadness.
" Yes."
" My team all encountered Sora hard to believe only Lee managed to defeat him and yet the students who were considered superior to Lee died at Sora's hand this just goes to show you never underestimate your opponent."
" I don't think that's the only lesson to learn from this experience considering you taught a weakling techniques designed for the strong. But cheer up Gai your new students could always win the exams 2 years from now depending on whether or not they can defeat my next team." - Kakashi mocked.
" Whatever Kakashi." - Gai dismissed as sadness overtook him.
" ( And to believe they promoted that twit to Jonin.)"
Cutover to the arena we see Temari and Shikamaru.
" Match 4 ready... FIGHT!"
Fight to Survive by Stan Bush plays as we see Temari blast waves of wind from her giant fan at Shikamaru who evades by dashing he eventually gets hit by a kunai only to evade with a substitution he then appeared behind Temari and used his Shadow possession technique to restrain the sand ninja.
" Look since your such a joke I'm gonna let you win. I give up."
" What?" - Temari said filled with confusion.
" Okay winner Temari." - Anko declared.
Next we see Kankuro facing Yoroi Akado.
" Match 5 Ready...FIGHT!"
Yoroi uses a kunai to scrape his arms.
" Giving me a handicap isn't very wise." - Kankuro mocked.
Kankuro draws a Persian-style scimitar and runs to slash at Yoroi only to see him tank the attack as he performs a sequence of hand signs.
" Were-Leech Ritual!"
Within seconds Yoroi's body and flesh burned within yellow flames.
" AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" - Yoroi screamed as his body mutated.
Within seconds Kankuro was horrified as the flames extinguished he saw before him a tailed humanoid with dark purple skin equipped with a ridged texture and an eyeless face equipped with a lamprey-like mouth.
" What on Earth are you?"
Kankuro slashed at the monster only to see his scimitar shatter.
" YOURRR BLAADES ARRRRRE USSSELESSS!"
The creature tackled Kankuro and bit into into the Puppeteer's neck.
" GAHHHH!"
( Now to drain him of his Chakra.) - Yoroi mentally declared.
Yoroi sucked Kankuro's chakra through his mutated mouth but Kankuro smirked as he directed chakra strings emitted from his neck to enter Yoroi's mouth and impale his heart deactivating Yoroi's mutation as he was reduced to a corpse.
" Just remember Yoroi vampires always get slain."
" ( What the hell did he do to Yoroi did he turn his blood into a poison?)" - Anko mentally speculated.
" Hey judge are you gonna call the match?" - Kankuro asked.
" Right. Winner Kankuro!"
Cut over to the Hokage's private seat.
" ( That boy can literally manipulate the chakra strings from any point in his body and he maintained his chakra flow as he was being drained. I've heard rumors that the Kazekage's children were going to participate this year but I didn't expect them to get this far I expected them to be losers considering the Kazekage often sounds utterly disappointed in them especially his youngest.) Such a talented boy will make an excellent Kazekage so long as he doesn't cross me."
A servant in an orange bell hop uniform hands the Hokage a message.
" Hmmm? ( Lord Hokage we've learned from one of Orochimaru's subordinates that he's planted 9 bombs within the village please continue exams as originally scheduled.)"
The 3rd Hokage pressed a hidden button on his kiseru sending a private signal to Anko's headset.
" All right Leaf boys get to the field or you'll be executed." - Anko commanded.
Sasuke and Sora head to the battle zone to face each other as a wind breezes past them.
" You're gonna pay for killing Sakura."
" No mutant you're going to pay for killing Riku you and every ninja on this forsaken planet."
" If it wasn't for Sakura you'd be dead several times over."
" True but she knew the stakes when she heard the rules. Her last words before I impaled her were disgusting. Riku on the other hand was a respectful warrior even in death."
" Anyway Match 6 Ready...FIGHT!"
" If by respectful warrior you mean an idiot yeah he passed on with flying colors."
" Damn you!"
Sora ran at Sasuke as We Are Finally Cowboys from the No More Heroes OST plays in the background. As Sora reached Sasuke he slashed at the ninja 3 times but Sasuke dodged his attacks. Sora performed a rotating slash but Sasuke avoided by ducking and responded with a rotating sweep kick that forced Sora to jump and fire a single heart-shaped energy burst from his longsword but Sasuke jumps backwards to avoid the attack.
" Here's a real projectile attack."
Sasuke performed his fireball jutsu unleashing a massive sphere of fire Sora deflected the attack back at Sasuke with his guard technique but Sasuke imitates the defensive technique and the 2 foes end up in a mystical tennis match for 6 volleys but Sasuke activated some of his chakra gates so he could out run his fireball upon deflection to get behind Sora and kick him into the path of the sphere of fire burning the swordsman's skin.
" AHHHHHHHHH!"
Sora passed through the fireball crashing into a wall.
" ( Dang Sasuke out-maneuvered his own jutsu that slave boy might be tough but Sasuke is gonna burn him to ashes.)" - Kiba mentally praised.
" Augh! Gah." - Sora moaned as he recovered to turn around.
As Sora turned around Sasuke dashed to assault him with 6 punches he then grabbed the swordsman and hurled him against the wall not realizing that Sora was locking on to him with his shotlock.
" Ahhhgh!"
Sasuke performs a dashing punch but Sora weaves his head out of the way and unleashes a fully charged Ragnarok upon Sasuke's skull knocking the prodigy to the floor.
" NAAAAH!"
Sora approaches the fallen foe and attacks with an impaling strike only only to stab a log.
" Coward."
" Wow Sora you sure are slow. I've seen Choji pass ninja school faster than you can run." - Sasuke mocked with a bruised face.
" Up yours Sasuke!" - Choji yelled.
" Choji I think Sasuke was giving you a compliment." - Shikamaru responded.
" Shikamaru we've been friends for a long time don't fuck with me I'll crush your skull like an orange."
" Yeah if you can even reach me."
" Guys shut up I'm watching Sasuke execute a slave." - Ino said as her eyes mutated into lustful pink hearts with a drooling mouth.
Cut over to the arena.
" I might move slow Sasuke but I've learned to make up for this weakness by improving my reaction speed, and using observation to anticipate my foes next strategy or did you just fall asleep during my battle against Neji?"
Sasuke dashes at Sora to punch him on his left side but the swordsman rolls forward to evade. As he recovers to his standing position Sasuke warps in front of Sora to perform a rising uppercut but Sora dodges by jumping back.
" Hufff!" - Sora reacted
Sasuke dashes behind Sora to deliver a horizontal 2-handed hammer strike but Sora ducks with all his might.
" Dagh!"
Sora responded with a backwards thrust but Sasuke dashed to his right and circled around Sora 3times.
" (He has to have some greater scheme.)" - Sora speculated.
Sasuke activated his clone jutsu and had his duplicate dash at Sora's front while he headed for the back as both of them tried to pincer Sora with a dynamic entry but Sora evaded by flipping into the air. As Sora landed Sasuke charged his body with chakra and dashed at Sora ready to lance a kunai into Sora's brain but Sora proving his defensive skill intercepts Sasuke with his Stun Impact paralyzing the ninja.
" Gugh."
Sora attacked Sasuke with an aerial combo ending with a Hurricane Blast that buzzsaws into the ninja's face & torso knocking him down.
" AHHHHHHHH!"
" Holy crap Sasuke might die." - Kiba said in a horrified tone.
Sora swiftly tries to impale Sasuke but the ninja evades by dashing to gain some distance behind the swordsman and pelted Sora with a spread of Shuriken.
" FAH!"
Saasuke dashed at Sora with great momentum and assaulted him with a powerful combination of 6 punches to his face completing his attack with bajiquan elbow strike blasting Sora to his back.
" Yeah you show him Sasuke! Toss that upstart in to hell!" - Kiba yelled.
" Woof." - Akamaru agreed.
Sasuke leaped at Sora as the swordsman focused his Shot-lock cursors on Sasuke. As the ninja reaches Sora with his Kunai preparing to impale him Sora counters with a low level Dragoon Jump warping into the air above to deliver a swift impaling thrust that pinned Sasuke down only to see that he once again stabbed a tree log.
" Flippin bastard!" - Sora cursed.
Sora locks on to Sasuke again realizing that Sasuke was behind him as he sees him readying the Alabaster Phoenix. Upon activating the ritual Sora conjures his baseball bat as Sasuke dashed towards him. Sora hurled his bat at Sasuke but the blue-garbed ninja dodged the projectile by running out of the way and as he came within striking distance of Sora the swordsman deflected Sasuke's elemental talon by guarding with his blade.
" AHHHHHH!" - Sora yelled.
" What?!" -Sasuke and Orochimaru reacted.
" Damn it Sasuke." - Kakashi whispered with his fist clenched.
" Seems you're new technique can be deflected."
" I'd suggest looking at your blade Clown Shoes."
Sora glanced at his longsword and saw that it was broken by white fire he tossed the grip at Sasuke who dodged it by weaving. Sora then ran towards Sasuke to flip over him and ran to reobtain his bat while focusing upon him with his Scan ability however Sasuke chased after him with another Alabaster Phoenix as Sora turned he fired a low-level heart-shaped energy burst from his baseball bat at Sasuke's left leg causing him to trip and slide on his stomach getting within striking distance of Sora he swipes his burning hand at Sora's leg but Sora flips into the air as he gets his shotlock cursors to an intermediate level and projects a cluster of 15 orange heart-shaped energy blasts that collide with the knocked down ninja's body.
" AHHHHHHHHH!" - Sasuke screamed and went silent.
Almost 73% of the audience watched the arena with horror as Sora landed on the ground.
" You gonna call the match? Huff (3x)." - Sora asked Anko.
Anko stood in shock as if she saw a war hero get killed.
Cut over to Orochimaru.
" No...no..no."
" Perhaps Sasuke failed to see the benefits of darkness and fell for the sales pitch of light despite your venomous interference."
Orochimaru slashed Ansem with a claw-swipe exposing some of his body to be made of pure darkness.
" Did I strike a nerve?" - Ansem mocked.
" Hey grow up or leave! Watching the exams is a privilege!" - Rebuked a security ninja.
Cut over to the 3rd Hokage.
" Anko quit embarrassing the village and call the match."
Cut over to Anko.
" Winner...Sora."
" No. HAHAHAH..(SOB!)" - Ino reacted as she saw the idol of her lust defeated.
" So the final match is gonna be between me and a slave." - Temari speculated.
" ( We'll see sis, we'll see.)" - Thought Kankuro.
