Chronicler's Isle: Part Two

Filler Alert! One Fight is all.

"So, what you two are saying, is that the Life energy in this world is different from the life energy in your world?" Spyro asked Archion and Choryrth while Volteer was writing down notes on everything they were saying.

"Yes, which is why, before we get to our realm, you need to learn how to coat yourself in life energy."

"But why?"

"Well, because, if you were to go in our realm, without that protection, it would corrupt you to the point where we would become the next dark master. Since our energy is a complete opposite to yours, the energy that it sends out is malicious. It would kill or corrupt anyone that does not have the field of energy around them."

"Okay, so that is a no go."

"Yes. The chronicler knows how to perform the technique." Choryrth explained.

"Well, that raises a problem. Ember most likely will not know how to perform the said technique. And Spyro will have to go in by himself." stated Volteer inquisitively.

"That is true. Ember's life energy is not strong enough in order to maintain the barrier. Either it will corrupt her or kill her through exertion to keep up the barrier." Archion answered. In doing so, He created a thin cylinder of energy in his hand, about as wide as Spyro's head, and filled it with malicious energy, with a small portion of light in the middle, "So, the light in the middle is you, and the other energy is our life energy in our reality. Now, watch."

They watched intently as the light was slowly crushed by the purple darkness surrounding it, "By the Ancestors." Volteer gasped as the malicious energy completely eliminated the other.

"While we can't teach you the technique, we can show you a different way to increase your power, and it is something all people can learn. It is known as Roku, which is a power up that allows full exploitation of a person's potential. It isn't completely overpowered. It basically is a powerup to make complete utilization of Life Energy, but it drains their stamina way faster, but it's power up is immense. Take Flame for example. If he were to use Roku, he would be as strong as Spyro's Semi Perfection form without even pushing the form's limits. If you are talking about breaking the form's limits, that would be more powerful that Dark Perfection."

"Okay, but what would happen if Spyro learned Roku?" Asked Volteer, now very interested in the idea of alternate realities and energy manipulation.

"Hmm...If he did do that, he would make the Destroyer look like a complete joke, but personally, I think Flame and Ember should learn the technique instead, because it can't just be Spyro who can fight these villains. Because instead of having only one, we can fight at the level of the same people and gain a numerical advantage. Not only that, but Spyro needs people to spar with, and if not, he might soon reach a point that he cannot reach any stronger heights because he cannot find anyone on his side of equal strength."

"I will receive Flame to see what you are saying is true." announced Volteer.

"Is what you are saying true?" asked Spyro after Volteer walked out of the room.

"Yes, you are a special type of dragon. You constantly adapt while you fight, adapting to a stronger opponents' attacks and probing for weaknesses."

"Well, We are going to find out if this is true." Volteer said after coming in about a minute later. Spyro looked at Flame and saw a few tears that stained his face, with his eyes reddened. When Spyro pointed this out, Flame wiped his eyes so that they retained their ice cold stare.

Flame and Spyro took their stances and The rest of the dragons in the room retreated to the side, afraid of Spyro's power.

"You know something Spyro?" Flame blurted.

"What?"

"You did one thing I will never forgive you for."

"What did I do? I never met you." Spyro asked.

"You decided to let that demon Cynder live. You should have killed her where she lay!"

At this, Spyro's talons clenched. Volteer hesitantly started the match, and Spyro kicked off the ground at Flame. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled as he punched at Flame. Flame activated his flames at 45 percent. This gave him immense strength, and he blocked Spyro's punch with a paw. Spyro growled as he was punched back.

He entered Dark Defense, the marking on his face glowing demonically. As Flame unleashed a massive wall of Flame, a quick jump was all that Spyro needed to use to escape the grasps of it. Rushing forward, briefly upping his power to his Wrathful State, to land a heavy blow against Flame. Using his fire, he used his paw to spin around, summoning fire on his tail, making a ring that exploded outward. Flame's eyes narrowed in fear, until he then coated his body in fire, and released it and it powered through the ring.

Spyro rushed through the smoke and coated himself in dark fire, while Flame kept his up. They started to clash, using their auras of flame as guards for the burning hot fire. Spyro entered Semi-Perfection, with his power going far beyond Flame's. He teleported behind Flame and placed a hand on his back, and almost immediately, his fire aura was sucked out and he fell on the floor. Spyro then took the aura and molded it into a massive energy attack. He threw it at Flame, his battle instincts making him lose all rational thought. If it hit Flame, it would be catastrophic. Flame tried to hold it back, but Spyro's might started to hurt him.

"Spyro!" called a familiar voice. It was Cynder.

"You promised!" she said with tears coming to her eyes, as it was hard to see him with such malice in his eyes.

Spyro's battle instincts dropped and he lost control of the attack for a moment, and during that time, Flame roared, "I...won't...LOSE TO YOUU!" and let out a massive blast of energy and golden fire, that pushed the attack back into Spyro. Archion and Choryrth appeared in front of him, and clenched their fists, and the blast dissipated, and Spyro dropped out of his Semi Perfection and fell to the ground, with Flame falling unconscious due to the massive power he had just revealed.

The rest of the people who were watching the battle rushed onto the field to take care of the two combatants. After a green Spirit Gem Spyro forcefully entered Semi Perfection, taxing his strength, but allowing Archion and Choryrth to appear.

"Okay, so what happened?" asked Spyro.

"Well, your rage over what Flame said about Cynder, and your battle instincts, they took over your thoughts and made you very aggressive toward Flame."

"But I thought the Omni Symbol on my head kept that contained?"

"Yes, to an extent. That is also why Cynder's words contained the trigger to you stopping. You were struck by memories of a promise, and that was enough to help the Omni Symbol stop your malicious intent."

"Okay, what was the probability of that happening?"

"It was about one in ten. Fairly low, but this is why we need to get to the Chronicler's isle. We need that dark Dragon's power, and if you don't, your power will never be able to be controlled perfectly."

"Fine, we leave tommorow."

Next Morning, Spyro set out to find the White Isle. With Ember tailing him, it was almost unbearable for Cynder to say goodbye, as she knew perfectly well what Ember was going to try to do, but there was nothing she could do as the two dragons flew off into the sunrise.
