Oh my gosh guys. I'm so sorry! I had midterms this week so I didn't have a lot of time to write. Please forgive me!

Thank you to EmmaTheTurtle and Sr022004 for favoriting!

Thank you Silver for the wonderful comment as always! Also, to your guess about King and Silva teaming up against Engres and letting Meliodas and Diane watch, I'll answer with: maybeeeee.

On with the story!

Ban and Elaine were lost, obviously. Ban taking the lead caused this, obviously. "Are you sure you know where we're going, Ban? Elaine asked. Ban paused for a minute, then said, "I have no idea in hell where we are." Elaine facepalmed. They turned a corner and were met with Engres. Only it wasn't Engres. This man had no scar and his eyes were green instead of yellow. "A fairy out and about, with a human," the not-Engres said, "Quite interesting. I apologize to you, human, but I will have to kill you." Ban scoffed, "I'd like to see you try. Just who do you think you are, anyway?" "I am a doll created by Engres resembling his late twin brother. My name is Gareth," the doll replied. Gareth then pulled something off his belt. It was an incantation orb. He said something unintelligible, then threw it in Ban's direction.

Ban quickly shoved Elaine out of the way, causing him to take the full force of whatever that incantation orb did. "Ban!" Elaine shouted. "Not at all what I anticipated," Gareth said more to himself than anyone. "I had expected the incantation orb to affect them both. This will be much more difficult now. I sense stronger magic from the fairy." "Are you okay Ban?" Elaine asked. "Nope. It was absolute cancel," the fox sin said. He hoisted himself up ff the ground. "Now I'm pissed at this Gary guy or whatever his name is. You ready Elaine?" Elaine smiled and her eyes developed a determined look. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Before they could commence to fighting, however, even more people came on the scene. Fortunately, they were both allies, but only one was helpful. "A goddess and another human," Gareth muttered. "Elaine!" Elizabeth shouted with glee. "Elizabeth!" Elaine replied, just as happy. They gave each other a hug, but were interrupted by another incantation orb. Fortunately, this one had no visible effect. "Pathetic," Gareth said, "You give the kingdom this much trouble; yet from what I can see your fight skills are lower than the average person's."

"Who's he?" Elizabeth asked. Ban clenched his fist and narrowed his eyes, "Some idiot. He gave me one hell of a spell bead to deal with. 'Absolute Cancel.'" Elizabeth shook her head, "Not good. You need some help?" "Yes!" exclaimed Elaine, "but should the human with no magic get away?" The blonde was referring to Hazel, who was standing there completely lost. "Um yes! I'll do that! There's no way I'm fighting!" Hazel replied. "Dammit," she thought, "Why am I so useless?" She went behind a corner, crouching while still being able to see the fight. "I want to be helpful for once. Just once."

Gareth pulled out a few more incantation orbs. He threw them towards the trio. The orbs developed a blinding light and exploded on contact. When the inky smoke cleared, Elizabeth was battered and Ban was Elaine's shield (he was fine due to the fountain of youth's power.) Ban, however, was down and out for the count. Elizabeth turned to Elaine. "I guess it's up to girl power." Elaine grinned, "Yep!" They rushed forward toward the doll. Elaine flicked her hand, 'Miracle Wand!' The force of the spell blew Gareth back against a stone wall, ultimately causing him to go through it.

When Gareth stood up, he wasn't severely damaged, but has taken a bit nonetheless. He smirked, "I'm a doll, remember? Normal attacks don't work." "Oh, I didn't forget." Elizabeth said behind him. She outstretched her arms. "What are you doing?" Gareth questioned. Mist was gathering around him. 'Tranquilize' Elizabeth whispered. Gareth's eyes grew dark and lifeless. He fell to his knees, and collapsed.

"What happened?" Elaine asked, shocked. Elizabeth turned towards the fairy. "I released his spirit to the winds. He was created with hatred and regret, and that's no way for anyone to exist." Then, both girls collapsed.

Once again, I'm really sorry for not updating sooner. If you have school, then have a great winter break!

Thanks for reading and have a great rest of your day (or night)!
