Like Emma said, the group began their attack at dawn, recently putting down Haku's handmade grenades around the border of the forest before the bridge and the open gates where a patrol of goblins were socializing and pushing around, careful not to be seen until the signal was given.
Zuri volunteered to be bait, sauntering out of the forest, the map of grenades in her mind as she was empty of weapons visibly yet she wasn't unarmed, having knives hidden in her ankles while her two pistols are hidden under her shirt, a belt of ammo as well,. The sight of Zuri caught the goblin patrol's attention, and they were wary, armed with their hooked staffs and spiked axes, hesitating to walk on further to chase the human as they have heard stories of Creeper and his horde being attacked only a day ago.
Zuri saw the hesitation and wariness, and she risked to walk a tad closer to call them out, taunting them that they're too afraid/cowardly. Of course, that got the goblins annoyed and furious at this human's way of underestimating them, and they charged at Zuri, running after her.
Zuri ran back into the forest, tactfully avoiding the trip lines that would trigger the grenades to go off, and diving back into the bushes while hearing the surefire sounds of explosions, hearing a few goblins scream out in pain.
She caught her rifle and shotgun which was thrown by Logan, and grinned lightly as sounds of thunder pierced the air, knowing that Jason is shooting off the injured goblins, thanks to being in a tree. Emma called out, "Gate's clear, let's go!".
The group filtered out of the forest, with Emma's backpack holding Mrs. Potts and Chip, and Haku's backpack holding Cogsworth, and Lumiere holding into Beast/Adam's cape as Adam walked out on all fours, close to Pippa.
The group is all fitted up with rifles, shotguns, pistols, grenades, knives on their persons, prepared to kill/injure all goblins on sight with the mission of rescuing prisoners in mind, looking like badass soldiers as they trekked across the bridge, unknowing that a scout goblin in one of the trees in the castle courtyard has seen them coming.
The scout goblin ran into the castle, asking for Creeper, with other goblins pointing the way, and then the scout found Creeper, "Sire, we got humans incoming! It's the ones from the day before!". Creeper, bandaged up as he was sharpening up a blade, snarled out loud in anger and shock, "WHAT?!".
The scout shrunk into the floor, taken aback by Creeper's rage, spoke out submissively, "They took out the bridge patrol, sire...". Creeper growled, "That's impossible! They wouldn't have took them out...until...", suddenly remembering the power of the humans' weapons, and exhaled deeply as he then growled out, "That's it...So, they decide to attack the castle, then? To rescue the pathetic prisoners? You! Tell the others to fight! This time, no mercy!".
The scout nodded quickly with a grin, "Yes, sire! Right away, sire!", leaping out of the room, and Creeper smiled to himself, "Let's see how you can fight against a army of hordes, humans.", unknowing that by now, Adam/Beast is leading the group into a secret passage that the goblins never knew about, and with hasty whispers, the group split off into multiple directions as they filtered out into the first floor.
Adam, Lumiere, Pippa went off to the North wing, planning to rescue the prisoners from the prison tower that Adam knew all too well while Zuri, Emma, Mrs. Potts, and Chip went off to the South wing, figuring the kitchens and living rooms would have goblins eating and such, and with Logan, and Cogsworth going off to the East wing, figuring to ask the enchanted knights' remains for permission to borrow some intact spear axes and swords, and Jason helping Haku out to place more grenade traps in the West Wing.
Soon enough, the castle became a place of chaos, blood, gore, confusion, fury, determination. Yells, shouts, roars filled the atmosphere as cuts, injuries, wounds became commonplace around the castle while the group did their thing.
(Pippa's P.O.V.)
"Are we close, Adam?", I asked quickly, and Adam nodded, "Yes. We better hurry, through. Sooner or later, we will have to watch out for surviving goblins. I trust your friends upon their skills and you, but goblins are damn stubborn!".
Lumiere, in Adam's hands, asked with a flair of his flames, "Are you sure it was wise to leave the mirror with Emma? It would be easier to know if goblins are guarding the prison tower.". Adam sighed lightly, "Perhaps, but she needs help to navigate around the castle, and besides, you know I have lived in this castle all my life. I know the ways around well enough as you do, Lumiere.".
Lumiere nodded lightly, "Yes, sire. How are you doing, mademoiselle?", looking over at me with a concerned glance. I smiled warmly, "I am doing fine so far. I just want to get this done quickly, that's all. Oh, don't get me wrong, Adam's castle is incredible and massive, it's just that the goblins has made this place ever more terrible!".
Adam glanced over at me with a wistful glance, "The war has done more terrible things than this. Trust me, I know...". I blinked softly before nodding lightly, and then I looked up to see a door open. I touched Adam's shoulder, "Adam...".
Adam nodded, "Take Lumiere. I got this. Don't worry, I won't let any goblin touch you ever again!", hearing the rumbling passion and fury in his voice, and I smiled weakly, "I know. Be careful.", drawing out my pistol, pointing it to the ground with the safety off.
Adam nodded as he passed Lumiere into my other hand, and dropped to all fours, able to smell any goblin scent at their height as he told me of, and walked to the door as I followed him behind, watching the sides as Lumiere watching the back behind us, and after a moment as Adam entered, I hear his rumbling growl, and hear a goblin roar, but Adam roared back even louder, and I heard the familiar sound of a body hitting the wall, the faint sound of bones breaking.
I then hear Adam rumble out, "Coast's clear.", and I came after him, swiftly checking the hallway as I entered the doorway, and I see the dead body of a goblin upon the wall, Adam standing besides the stairs, flicking his ears as he heard something, sniffing the air in the meantime before speaking, "Sounds like prisoners. Smell human.".
I grinned lightly, "About time. Let's garn get them outtah here!", knowing that my accent is coming through again, and Adam nodded as we then ran up the stairs, shoulders still tense, Lumiere's light helping out in the darkness even if the sun's barely out for a half hour now.
I heard voices as we got closer and closer, and as I saw the glimpses of cages, I nudged Adam gently by the shoulder, "Keep a eye out, Adam. I got this.", knowing that he doesn't like anybody to scream or stare at him when he's seen. Adam smiled gratefully, nodding, and I put Lumiere down, "Come on, Lumiere. It may be past dawn, but it's still dark. I need your light to see the locks to open them out.".
Lumiere nodded, "Of course, Pippa.", clopping besides me as I stepped upon the floor, looking at the prisoners in the cages, looking at me with hope and surprise. With amazement, I recognized Grumpy the dwarf and Audrey the mechanic teenager among the prisoners, and I called out, "Alright, let's get you guys out of here. My team's fighting the goblins and trapping them all around. Name's Pippa.".
Audrey grinned widely, "Great! Let's go!", and I chuckled, pulling out a handmade lock pick, thanks to Haku's assistance, going to her cage first, with Lumiere hopping along, and speaking, "Have patience, cherie. Pippa knows what she's doing.".
A girl gasps out loud, "It talks!". Lumiere flaunted his 'hands', "I can talk. After all, I used to be human.". A boy spoke in surprise, "You were?". Lumiere was to speak when I called out, "Explanation later. Light now, Lumiere.".
"Yes, of course. We must not waste time!", Lumiere nodded with a smile, making his flames a tad brighter, and I sighed in relief as I was able to get a clearer look of the lock, and worked quickly, and grinned as I heard the familiar sound of a lock opening up, and walked over to Grumpy as Audrey walked out, "Got any more lock picks, sister?", hearing the Spanish/Hispanic accent in her voice.
I quickly grabbed another lock pick out of my pocket, glad for Haku to think of making extras as it's normal for him to do so, and threw it over to Audrey, "There you go. Be quick!". Working upon Grumpy's lock, I glanced at Audrey as she spoke, "Quick? Girl, you're looking at the best mechanic west of Atlantis!", sprinting over to the girl's cage with a smug grin.
Yep, Audrey's still the same as I remember in her movie. Grumpy huffed, "You shouldn't come up alone with a cursed object.", glaring at me with that familiar arm gesture I remember from his movie, and I grinned slyly as I heard the sound of the lock opening, "Who says I didn't come up alone? I got backup waiting downstairs.".
Grumpy looked surprised, and actually spoke without a grouchy tone, "Now you've impressed me, girlie. Perhaps you're not as what I figured.". I laughed lightly as I went over to the next cage, looking at a father and son couple, "It's alright. Almost out of here, sir.".
The man chuckled softly, "Just call me Wally. And here is my son, Hal. Across from us is my wife and daughter.", and I blinked in surprise as the voice coming out of the man is vaguely familiar, and then I looked over to see the aforementioned wife/mother and daughter.
I was quite shocked when I saw the brightest blues, impossibly bright like a star, in the mother, and she smiled softly, "I know. My eyes are quite the sight. The town of Axiom is a tad famous for bright colored eyes.".
When I heard the name Axiom, I realized that I am meeting the humanized versions of the main characters from Wall-E, and I exhaled sharply before I felt a sharp nudge, "Quick, Pippa!", hearing Lumiere's voice. I refocused back to work on the lock, grinning slightly as in a minute, the sound of the opening lock came, and I stepped back to give them room, looking back to see Audrey unlocking the cage of Eve and her daughter, with the other freed prisoners hugging and laughing with tears in their eyes.
"Alright, let's go!", I called out, running swiftly to the stairs as I grabbed Lumiere in my hand after I put the lock pick back in my pocket, glad to have my pistol in my other hand the whole time, hearing the sound of feet pattering behind me, and I know Adam's waiting at the bottom, and I smiled wryly, feeling hope once more.
