Chapter twelve:

Matt heads to let those that they have called to come in. He nods in greeting to a woman who is leading two others. "Thank you for coming." He tells them and leads them towards the office. "We have gotten all of that we can out of the target. However we haven't gotten the missing back. So we contacted you before going through with part two."

"Tell the other two to do it." The woman tells Matt putting emphasis on the word it. "We don't need him any further if we have all that we are going to get from him. We can't risk him tipping off those that have taken the missing. We'll get them back without him."

Matt nods and brings a hand to the device in his ear. "Do it." He tells the two who also have the same ear pieces.

Mello and Near glance to each other then turn to look to Rodger.

"Understood Matt." Mello responds as Near moves around behind the older man.

"What is going on? Answer me!" Rodger demands then freezes with wide eyes as he is suddenly grabbed from behind. He feels the cool blade of Near's weapon against his throat. His torso being held surprisingly strongly by the orphan behind him to try to stop any of his struggling that he might try to do. His eyes try to glance behind him as much as they possibly can. His eyes snap back to looking forward as he spots something aimed at his face. He finds the barrel of Mello's pistol aimed right at his face.

"Your information was helpful." Mello tells Rodger.

"But this is going to be the end of the line. You cannot be forgiving for what you have done to the orphans you were supposed to care for." Near finishes Mello's words then he slashes Rodgers throat.

Rodger tries to cry out in pain and struggle to try to get out of the grip. His struggles aren't for too long as Mello fires a shot to his face ending his life. He slumps and is let go of causing him to fall to the floor.

Mello lowers his gun glad for it being silenced to not draw attention to what had just happened. He raises a hand to the earpiece as Near moves around to stand beside him. "It is done."

"That's good to hear. We are going to come inside." Matt responds and Mello makes a sound of understanding.

"Okay. Then we are going to unlock the door." Mello nods to Near who heads over to do just that.

After a moment or two Matt enters the office followed by the three he had let into the orphanage.

The woman takes one look at the older man laying on the floor with only his top half visible as the bottom half is hidden behind the desk. She turns to the trio who stand together as they wait for her to speak. "You have all done so well." She informs them with a proud smile. "I am glad that we took you three in." She knows that the three being orphans helps in them being able to infiltrate places easier. She also knows that their identities and activities can be hidden better without family to know about them. She rather likes project orphan where they give orphans the chance to help in investigations, assassinations, and other such missions.

"We have a lot of information." Mello tells her standing tall with pride about what they have managed to accomplish. "I do believe that with this information we should be able to find out more about what happened to those that were taken away."

"Then let us begin this part. All of your accounts already have the money reward for this job wired to them." The woman informs the three of them. "And for extra money you three will be joining us in trying to retrieve the missing. Go and pack up your stuff to get ready to leave."

With that the trio, who hide their weapons, head out then as they walk into the main area they see orphans moving to get to their next class.

Some turn and see the three together though they ignore them as they head for their rooms.

"What is going on?" An orphan, who likes to act like she is tough, named Lucy calls after them making them pause on the stairs as she stares confused at seeing that they are all together.

"That isn't important to you." Near tells Lucy then the three continue to head off going to their separate rooms.

Lucy sees them go to their separate rooms and tells others when asked if they went to the same room.

This just makes them all even more confused. So they all hang out there and wait to try to see if they will come out.

Teachers come over trying to see why they aren't going to their rooms.

That is when the two who had come in with the woman start to pass by carrying cases each.

A teacher steps in their way making them stop. "Who are you and how did you get in here?"

One of the two men grabs a badge then shows it to the teacher. "CIA. There has been some business that we had to attend to in your orphanage." He sees the teachers eyes widen as she realizes that this badge is really real.

They all turn as Mello, Matt and Near come over carrying a suitcase or two each.

"Ready to go young agents?" The man puts his badge away and shocked whispers spread through the crowd that is watching.

"Mello, Near and Matt are young CIA agents?!" Lucy calls out in disbelief.

"Well those are only aliases." The man who had shown his badge tells them holding back on the information that the group the three are a part of is a side department of the CIA; one that can act as a separate group to help with various things. "The mission is classified. Though it is over now. We just are taking what is needed. Oh and the office in your orphanage is off limits until we finish our work here." He turns and moves around the teacher with the three young agents heading out along with the men.

Everyone staring after them in pure shock.

Mello, Near and Matt place their stuff in the trunk of one of the fancy CIA cars that are parked out front. They know that there is still more work to do though they will be able to leave this orphanage behind them.

"Well at least we don't have to worry about the way we have to act back at the office." Mello mentions referring to how they will finish finding the missing back at the office. He then shuts the trunk as the other two make sounds of agreement.
