Hello Everyone, here is a new chapter for all of you to read on this fine Wednesday! Yes, you read that correctly. I'll explain at the end of the chapter.

Now on with the story.

Chapter 13: Answered

(The Next Day)

"Ash? What does Pokémon food taste like for regular humans? Eon?" Asked Stella. "Pokémon food? I've had it once by accident and it tastes like you're eating a rock. Not very appetizing." Said Ash. "A rock? Is that the case for all humans?" "Yeah, but the description can vary from person to person. It's designed to eaten solely by Pokémon. What does it taste like for you, Stella?" "It tastes like pastries. Eon." "Pastries?" "There's tons of different variations of Pokémon food based off of size, typing, and species, right?" "Yes." "Although the flavor differs by variation, from talking about it your Pokémon, it seems as if they all generally taste like pastries. Eon." "I never knew that. Are they sweet?" "Not all of them. Some can taste sour, bitter, or even stale based off the variation." "I see." "Pokémon food does taste delicious when you mix it with berries. Eon." "It does?" "Whenever I have a bowl for myself, I always add a few berries. I mix up which ones I use, but the mixture of hard and crunchy food and soft and chewy berries is always a joy to taste." "I've always imagined what how life from a Pokémon's viewpoint is like and it's amazing to learn so much from you Stella." "Y-you think so? Eon." "I know so."

(A Few Days Later)

Stella had been studying hard for the past few days. With her new boyfriend, Ash by her side due to having a two week break, she began to receive more tutoring from him. But two things that were always on the tip of her mind were the questions about her relationship with Ash and the results of her DNA test. "Hello? Mateus?" Said Stella. "Hello Stella. What do you need?" Asked Mateus over the phone. "W-were you a-able to figure out the answers for the questions A-Ash and I asked? Eon." "Yes. About that, I have good news and bad news." "T-tell me the good news first." "Okay. The good news is that there is nothing in the law that states that a person cannot have a romantic relationship with a hybrid. So you and Ash are in the clear." "Okay. Eon." "Unfortunately, the bad news is that your test results have not come back yet. Although it was stated in the response that they are close to being finished. So allow a little bit more time for them to finish it with absolute accuracy." "Oh. I see." "I'll be coming over later to explain all of this in more detail so any additional questions you two might have should be answered." "Okay. I'll see you then. Bye. Eon." "Bye Stella."

(Mateus then ends the call and Stella places the phone back on the wall before returning to the kitchen.)

"How was it?" Asked a curious Ash. "Good for the most part. He said that we can have a relationship." Said Stella. "That's excellent!" "H-however, Mateus also told me that the results of my test still aren't finished yet. Eon." Ash noticed his girlfriend's drop in mood and quickly went to hug her. "Stella sweetheart, I know that we'll one day find out who your parents are. I know it also hurts to wait, but the Aether Foundation is taking their time to do this right so that we can be sure that the results are correct." "Ash, I love you." "I love you too, Stella."

(Hours later)

"Good evening Ash, Stella." Said Mateus as he entered Ash's home. "Good evening Mateus. Eon." Said Stella. "Good Evening Mateus." Said Ash. "I know you two have a bunch of questions and I'll be happy to go over them with you two." Mateus, Ash, and Stella then make their way to the kitchen. "Before we get started, would you two like anything?" "No Stella, I'm fine. But thank you for the offer anyways." "I'm still rather full sweetheart, so no thank you." "Alright then. Eon." "For the first thing. I've looked into it, and as I told you before, there is nothing stated in the law stating that one can't have a romantic relationship with a hybrid. I've also looked into more about the subject and your relationship is pretty much allowed in all aspects." "That's amazing because I can't imagine life without my sweetheart anymore." Stella noticed that she was blushing from Ash's words. "It's the same for me, my love." "As for the second thing, the test results, they have not come in yet." "Why do you think Mateus? Eon?" "I know this is important for you Stella, but from what from what I had heard, they are still finishing work on analyzing the samples. Once they finish that they'll cross-check your results on our database to make sure. Once that is complete, only then will I get the results. I promise to you two that you'll be the first ones to look at the results." "Mateus, why would the Aether Foundation need to cross-check Stella's results with the International Police's database?" "Ash, from the information that we have received, not only from you and Stella, but also Professor Alva and some of the files we did recover from the abandoned lab, had led us to hypothesize that Stella may have been kidnapped before being experimented on." "Professor A-Alva did say that they were s-still looking for a subject to e-experiment on when he s-started to work there a-against his will." "That would explain how Team Rocket got their hands on her." "If our hypothesis is proven to be true, this will undoubtedly give us many answers, but also leave us with many more questions." "I h-have one. Eon." "What is it, Sweetheart?" "I-if all of this is said and done a-and I get my results back, W-what would happen if m-my parents don't a-accept me?" "Sweetheart, that's highly unl…" "I'm serious Ash! My parents haven't seen me in who knows how many years and I've changed in more ways than one since then! What if my parents upon looking at me don't see me as their daughter anymore, but as a freak?! Eon?!" Ash realized his error and quickly embraced Stella. "Stella, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have even remotely suggested that it was unlikely that your parents wouldn't accept you. Because I know from experience from helping them, that parents are overjoyed when they're reunited with their kids after being missing for some time." "Mmhmm." "If in the event that your parents won't love or accept you for who you are, I'll still love you from the bottom of my heart." Stella, with tears in her eyes, then wrapped her feelers around Ash. "Ash. Thank you, my love. I really needed that. Eon." Mateus looked at them and smiled happily, knowing that their love was a strong one. "I guess that wraps everything up, unless you two still have a few questions." "No. Not at all Mateus." "Well then Ash, I'll leave you two lovebirds be and I'll be on my way." "Bye Mateus." "Bye Stella, Ash."

(Several Hours Later)

Ash was up late at night out on his side porch. Not because of a nightmare, but because there was a lot on his mind that he needed to think about. One of them was how, in a matter of months, Stella went from being the shy and soft-spoken Sylveon-Human Hybrid to his kind and loving girlfriend. What the ramifications of freeing Stella from the team rocket lab would be. As well as thoughts about his past, present, and possible future. "I see that you're still up at this time. It's not common seeing you at 2:00 in the morning." Said Mateus from the road. "I'm just thinking. I'm planning on going to bed soon, Mateus." Said Ash. "Mind If I come in and talk with you?" "About What?" "Just general stuff." "Sure. Why not? You can come in." Mateus then enters Ash's side porch. "Stella, how did she get that name?" "When we left the International Police Headquarters, the Alola branch, all she did was look up on the ride back home. She was fascinated by them, the small, bright little stars that would sometimes twinkle in the sky. I knew that when we landed back at my place that she needed a name and the idea clicked in my head." "It fits her. Space has always been a marvelous concept and a launch pad for those who are curious. Also, the stars in the night sky have always been a symbol of hope and freedom for generations." "I love her. She's my sweetheart and she continues to amaze me every day by how much she improves." "Speaking of which, where is Stella?" "She's currently asleep in her room." "Nightmares no longer a thing?" "They still are. But they're less frequent than they used to be." "That's great. I have to head back. But before I do, there's something I need to say." "What is it Mateus?" "Ash, I think you what you said to Stella today was very brave of you. Confirming that you love her even if her parents possibly won't. That takes a lot of guts." "Thank you for…" "I've seen a lot of people run away from a relationship at the first sign of things going bad. What you did, truly shows your love for her." "Mateus. Thank you." "You're welcome. See you later, Ash." "See you." Mateus then left Ash's property and went back to headquarters. While Ash, happy about what he had thought and talked about, proceeded to head back to his room and go back to sleep.

*End of Chapter 13*

As you read before, I am posting this on a Wednesday. I know it's weird, but I'm going to be busy the next two days for Thanksgiving as well as Black Friday and I wanted to continue the weekly update schedule for Intertwined. So I set up the compromise for this week when I made the update schedule a little more than two and a half months ago. I will return to the regular Thursday/Friday updates next week.

If you celebrate Thanksgiving or partake in Black Friday, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating and/or shopping. If not, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week in addition to a great weekend.
