Bella's POV

We ended up staying with Jasper, Peter and Charlotte for another month, mostly so that I could get used to being a newborn and Alice could spend some more time with Jasper, but now we were already well underway, and I had to admit that life as a nomad was something I could very much get used to. The fact that we didn't need to sleep also helped a lot with this and as Alice had said, any shame that had existed had evaporated in those first days, which had amused Victoria very much when I felt the need to push Alice up against a tree and fuck her silly while my mother did the same to Victoria not five feet from us.

Our next destination was Denali, but we would take our sweet time getting there, making several stops along the way to reinvent ourselves a little, which of course consisted of shopping, with the only difference being that we would now wear the clothes out of the store.

Alice surprisingly went for a goth look, which did nothing good for the state of my underwear. Victoria also surprised everyone by sporting shorts and a tank top that looked absolutely amazing on her, and was much like a typical outfit Renee would wear during the summer.

Renee had chosen a colorful spring dress, of course in tie-dye, which fit her like a glove and for myself I had chosen an outfit similar to Alice, but only with a little less goth and a bit more biker, going for a tight black tank top, skintight leather pants and a leather jacket.

"I must say Bella, you really know how to dress to impress." Victoria said with a smile.

I smiled at her. "That's all Alice. She made me see my sense of style and I've only built on that since then."

She smiled at me as we were lounging on a rooftop in Denver, her arms securely wrapped around Renee's waist. "Since even now you two look so much alike, I can see her influence in your outfit, I especially love your boots." She said pointing to my leather combat boots.

I smiled at her. "I figured it would bring the look together, and even though I can now wear heels, I would rather have Alice wear them so we can stand on at least somewhat equal height."

Alice smiled at me as she leaned against me. "It's nice to not have to stand on my toes to properly kiss you, or have my face be smothered by your breasts, although I do not really mind that fact."

"We've noticed. I never thought my daughter would be so kinky." Renee said with a soft smile.

I smiled at that. "I think you're the pot that is calling the kettle black, Mom. If we had still been human I am sure I would've had some permanent emotional scars right now."

Renee smiled at me as we watched the sun go down over the city, knowing that we only had to wait a few more hours before we could do a quick hunt before moving on to the next city. "I'm glad we can finally take the time to have some beautiful moments, Bella. I've really missed having you around."

"Me too Mom, but if you don't mind my asking, why did you let me finish school in Forks? Did I do something wrong?" I asked softly.

"Of course not sweetie, it was mostly Phil who wanted you gone because he felt that it cut into the travel time we were going to have. If I had my way, you would've never gone back to Charlie, because I had my suspicions for a while, but I could never prove anything." She said with a soft smile.

I smiled at her. "Now I really wished I would've told you everything sooner."

Renee smiled at me. "There is no use in dwelling on the past, sweetie. He's gone and we have an eternity to spend all the time in the world together with the women we love."

"Do you two need a moment love?" Alice asked with a bemused smile.

I smiled and kissed her softly. "No love, we're okay, right Mom?"

Renee smiled and nodded. "We are sweetie, we'll always be okay."

I smiled at her. "Perhaps we could hunt together tonight. I am so curious to see what Victoria taught you."

She shared a look with the red head and smiled. "I would love that. It could be our new version of mother-daughter time."

"Is that okay Ali?" I asked my Pixie softly.

Alice smiled and nodded. "Of course love. You know you don't have to ask permission for wanting to spend time with your mother. We trust you both not to overindulge. We don't want the Volturi on our case after all."

Renee and I nodded at them. "We won't. The burn is not that bad since we have only fed a couple of days ago." Renee said with a smile.

"Perhaps, but you are both still newborn vampires and will have to feed often, and while you both have amazing control, we don't want you two to lose yourself to your instincts." Victoria said with a smile.

"We won't love, we have far better uses for our time than having to deal with the Volturi." Renee said with a soft smile.

Victoria grinned and kissed her softly. "Indeed we have, care for a quickie before we go and feed?"

Renee smiled and straddled her mate in a practiced move. "While that sounds very appealing, chances are that we will miss our window of feeding time."

Victoria smiled at that. "Sometimes I hate it when you are reasonable." She said before kissing her.

Renee only smiled at that as she returned to her previous position. "Don't kid yourself, love. That's one of the reasons you love me."

"That I do, my love, that I do, but before we get sidetracked again, shall we go Alice?"

Alice nodded and gave me a soft kiss before standing up. "Shall we meet here where we are done? That might be easiest."

Renee and I nodded before they took off over the rooftops. "Shall we go too sweetie. I think between the two of us we can find someone appetizing to eat."

I only smiled at her before we took off in the opposite direction, jumping from rooftop to rooftop in search of our meal.

Alice's POV

Hunting with Victoria was actually pretty fun, since she knew exactly where she could find the best targets so that we also could also have a little bit of a thrill of the hunt sensation.

When we had eaten our fill, I had a short vision of Bella and Renee taking a while to be ready, so we once again took to the roofs. "I don't think I have ever properly thanked you Alice. It's thanks to you that I finally found my true mate."

I smiled at her. "No thanks are necessary Victoria. I merely had a vision that would make everyone's life easier. I merely wanted to protect Bella."

"I understand, and she is becoming near and dear to me. I really thought that she was that ditsy little girl I saw at that bastard's side, and I never saw how you reacted when James got too close. I should've paid more attention to that and put two and two together." Victoria said softly.

I smiled at her as I sat down next to her. "It's okay Victoria. I knew how deep Edward had his claws into Bella, and that I needed to be patient. In a way you guys helped me finally get my mate, because if it hadn't been for James, Edward would've eventually killed her just to spite me, and because of you he did what he is good at and ran, and I knew that would be my chance to confess my feelings for her."

The redhead smiled at that. "Then I am glad to have played a small part in both of your happiness."

I smiled and hugged her, which seemed to catch her a little off guard. "As I am glad to have played a part in yours."

Victoria smiled at me. "It's funny though, I always thought James was my mate, but the more time I spend with both Bella and Renee, the more I see how he was probably just as much of a controlling bastard as Edward was. Honestly the only reason I ever went with him was because I didn't want to be alone. When I was turned the world was such a different place that I barely recognize it anymore, Renee has brought a light back into my life that I thought I had lost long ago."

"Yes, both of them seem to have that ability. I swear Bella sometimes makes me feel alive again." I said with a soft smile.

"Renee makes me feel the same way honestly. When she first opened her eyes after I turned her I felt like my life finally had meaning, like I was complete. Was it like that with you and Bella?" She asked softly.

I nodded at her. "It was, and while I have known that Bella was my mate from the moment I woke up in this life, to actually be the one that was able to turn her, knowing my venom flows through her veins, is something I never thought was going to happen. It really is a special feeling, one I know you are also familiar with."

Victoria smiled at that. "Yes, it was such an honor to be the one that got to turn Renee, in much less violent ways than I think both of us were turned."

Again I nodded and smiled. "Yes, what we have done for our mates is a rarity, but coincidentally, our lives are intertwined in another way. James was the one that hunted which led me to be turned. He made chasing you a game too, am I right?"

Victoria nodded at that. "He did, even more so when he learned that I have a talent for escaping. Our cat and mouse games lasted for decades, until we met Laurent and decided to just roam around."

I smiled at her as I slipped into a short vision, showing me Laurent with the Denali's. "I think we'll see Laurent soon enough. I just saw him with the Denali's."

"Good, there are a few things I would like to say to him. You know he just left me alone after James died. I want to know why." She said softly.

I smiled at her as we heard the approach of our mates. "That was quick. I think they fed quickly because they felt that pull of the bond."

Victoria nodded at that. "Shall we make it a game Alice? Have them chase us back to the roof we were supposed to meet back up on?"

I grinned and nodded as we took off over the rooftops, hearing the growls of our mates in the distance.

We just smiled at each other as we landed on our agreed up on rooftop, Bella and Renee not far behind, and as I expected Bella nearly tackled me against the wall of the rooftop access to the building. "You know you shouldn't tease the newborn, my love." She said as she hiked my leg up against her hip and plunged two fingers into me.

I moaned loudly and kissed her. "I thought you might like a bit of chase before your fun. Was I wrong?"

She grinned and kissed me deeply. "Not really, because it was fun to do this, especially now that I have you pinned against a wall."

I smiled and started moving my hips against her fingers, while I heard a loud moan coming from Victoria, who was in a similar position next to us. "Don't take your eyes off me, Ali. I want to see your eyes roll up when you cum." Bella said huskily.

I nodded and kissed her softly as her other hand slid under my top. "Of course baby." I said softly.

She smiled and slid another finger into me, stretching me out deliciously. "You feel so good inside of me Bella."

"I know love, you've said so on many occasions during the last few months. I love being inside of you." She said with a soft smile.

I smiled and kissed her as I moaned loudly and I shuddered around her fingers as I came. "Sweet Gods, every time we make love it's like my heart starts beating again."

"I hope not, because that would mean we can't keep our promise to be together forever, and I don't ever want to lose you." She said softly.

"You won't lose me Bella, not now, not ever." I said with a loving smile.

She smiled as she pulled me into her arms and we slid to the ground, resting against the wall as we waited for Renee and Victoria to work through their urges.

Bella's POV

By the time we had made our way out of Denver, the sun had just started to peak over the clouds and we had our next destination in mind. We would make our way back to Forks and go to Denali from there, mostly so we could prepare for our confrontation with Edward, and probably Carlisle too.

We all knew it was going to be a battle that was going to have far reaching consequences, but I wasn't sure anymore that I cared anymore. I knew Esme was at least going to hear me out, and from what Ali had said, Rose was going to be a lot nicer to me too.

I didn't really know how I felt about that, because she had been a real bitch to me before everything went down, and I certainly was going to give her a piece of my mind when I saw her again, but of course that would completely defend on how she would react to the way I was going to deal with Edward.

"Are you okay sweetie? You seem so deep in thought." Renee asked sweetly.

I smiled at her. "I'm okay Mom, I was merely thinking about what is probably going to happen when I see the Cullens again."

"You know that we will be by your side with whatever happens, sweetie. I'm sure Edward won't be so stupid to outright attack you or Alice." Renee said with a soft smile.

"Oh, he will, and that is what worries me. Whatever happens will escalate very quickly and I really don't want to hurt anyone beside Edward." I said softly.

Alice smiled at me. "It'll be fine love, Esme, Rose and Emmett will support you, and from what I've seen the only real issue will be Carlisle, but that was to be expected."

I smiled at that. "Thank God for silver linings then. I would hate to have Esme pissed at me."

Alice smiled at that. "You know Esme could never be angry with you Bella. You're a daughter to her."

I smiled at her as we slowly came to a stop. "She has been a second mother to me too, that's why I am so afraid of what will happen."

Renee smiled as she gave me a hug. "Then I think I should thank her for taking such good care of my baby when I couldn't do it."

I smiled and relaxed in her arms. "I have a feeling that she will want a word with you too, but I think a lot will become clear when we get the chance to explain."

She smiled at that as she kissed the top of my head, much like she had done when I was a little girl. "I must admit that I still feel bad about everything, sweetie. I should've never prioritized my personal life over you."

I smiled at her. "It's okay Mom, it taught me to be self-sufficient, which has helped me a lot in my life. I don't think I would've survived Charlie's assault, or Edward's possessive bullshit without the things you taught me, and you don't have to worry about your place in my life either. You are my mother, and I love you, and as much as I love Esme, she isn't you."

Renee smiled brightly at me and pressed me close to her body. "Thank you sweetie. I think I needed to hear that, because I'll be honest and say that I was a little bit worried about my place in your life."

"You of all people don't have to be worried about that. I love you almost as much as I love Alice, which considering our mating bond says a lot. I couldn't imagine what I would've done if I had lost you, even though I knew it was inevitable at some point, and you don't know how happy I am to have you here forever." I said with a soft smile.

"As I am happy to have my baby girl with me forever. Nothing will ever break the four of us apart again." Renee said softly.

I smiled and nodded at her. "No, the four of us will be a family forever, so come on you two, instead of standing there awkwardly, come join this little impromptu family hug."

Alice and Victoria smiled at us before joining the hug. "Together forever, just us against the world." I said softly.

The three women nodded and smiled at that. "Us against the world, until it comes to its inevitable end." Alice said softly.

"I think for tonight, we should go and celebrate. We're close to Seattle and I think we could use a few drinks that are not blood." Victoria said with a smile.

Renee smiled at that. "Unfortunately Bella is not yet twenty one, so we couldn't get her in anywhere."

I grinned at her as I took out my ID. "Before we truly started this roadtrip, Alice made sure to get a few fake ID's for me, so I'll be fine. If you two are okay with staying here a for a little bit, I am sure Alice can fix that for you two as well."

Alice smiled at that. "To be very honest, I already did, as well as some bank accounts for the two of you, I've gathered enough to last us a very long time, and that fortune will only grow as time goes on. Sometimes it helps having a psychic play the stockmarkets."

Victoria and Renee smiled at that. "Thank you Alice, that means a lot to us."

Alice only smiled at her. "Don't mention it, I'll go and pick up the package before we go out tonight, that should give us some time to shop for some accessories."

I groaned softly at that, much to the amusement of my mate and mother. "Don't worry Bella. I'll make sure that they won't get too crazy." Victoria said with a smile.

I smiled at her, thankful that I finally had someone that believed not every situation called for shopping.

Alice and Renee just shrugged as they took off, leaving us alone on the rooftop. "Well, it seems that plan backfired already. Any idea what to do until they get back?"

Victoria smiled at me. "How about we just sit and get to know each other a little bit. We haven't really taken the time to do that over the last month. Perhaps you would be interested to know how I was turned."

"I would love to hear that, and I think that talking in general is a good idea." I said with a soft smile.

She nodded and took a seat next to me. "I was born more than five hundred years ago in England, an illegitimate child of the master of the house my mother was a maid for. I had a sister who was almost shockingly beautiful and therefor had to endure a lot more of the lecherous stares that I had, since people found me 'witchy' because of my red hair and freckles. Honestly I didn't look that much different from you when you were still human, but I digress. To escape the abuse of the house, my sister turned to the streets, with the agreement that I had free food and lodgings, but not soon after that my sister disappeared, and I didn't see her for three years. I managed to escape that hell hole and survive in the streets for two years before she found me again. It was my sister that turned me and saved me from the streets, but as with all good things, they don't last. My sister's creator was executed by the Volturi for drawing too much attention and beside one of ours that was shanghaied into the Volturi, we would've met the same fate. We managed to escape, but my sister was caught and killed not soon after, and since that time I have kind of avoided other vampires, until I met James and we started our little game of chase that lasted for years. When moving through Mississippi, we actually tracked down Alice, and as much as I tried to stop him, I could never stop him from violating Alice, and for that I am sorry. After that his behavior only spiraled out of control and he became the psycho you met a year ago."

I smiled and pulled her into my arms. "It's okay, James and Edward were probably as good at following directions as they were at being controlling assholes. Does Alice know?"

She nodded at that. "Yes, I told her everything when we went hunting in Denver. It was the first opportunity I got."

"Then there is no harm done Victoria. I'm very glad to call you both sister and mother at the same time." I said with a soft smile.

She smiled at that. "Honestly, I would prefer sister. We're not that far apart in age, you calling me mother would just look weird."

I laughed lightly at that. "Okay, Victoria, just don't look surprised if I give you a nickname at some point."

"Oh I had already expected you to do that, little bird." She said with a smile.

"Little bird? Where does that come from?" I asked a bit confused.

She smiled at me. "Like me, you have a penchant for getting out of trouble and not being found. You were a flighty little bird that I had a hard time tracking, so I thought I would make it my nickname for my little sister."

"Then I will call you Vicki, because calling you Big Bird would just sound wrong and gives me way too many flashbacks to my childhood." I said with a soft smile.

"I can live with that Bella. I'm not nearly yellow enough to be Big Bird." She said with a wink.

I laughed at that as Renee and Alice jumped back onto the roof, thankfully both of them only holding a few small bags from different stores. "That was quick by your standards love. Usually you take hours to go accessory shopping." I said with a smile to Alice.

Alice smiled and kissed me before taking a seat in between my legs, while Renee did the same to Victoria. "We didn't need much to make our outfits complete and we didn't want to be away from you two for too long. Did you two have fun?"

"We mostly just talked, something which was long overdue, and we found out that we're not so different from each other, so we've started to build a sisterly bond." Victoria said with a smile.

Renee and I smiled at them as we cuddled into them. "You two are very alike in both looks and behavior at times, perhaps we could give you the same curls Victoria has, give Edward a nice shock." Renee said with a smile.

I smiled at that. "I'll think about it. Remember what happened the last time you tried to put my hair in a curling iron?"

"I do, but I think your hair will be fine this time around, and besides you looked cute with frizzy hair." Renee said with a smile.

"Perhaps, but now it won't grow back, so I would rather be safe than sorry." I said with a soft smile.

Alice smiled at me. "It's perfectly fine if you want to do that love, your hair is quite a lot stronger than it used to be. The only thing you can't do with it is dye it, because that will only last for two days at most because of the properties of our venom."

I smiled and kissed her softly. "Then I would love to have a bit of curl, perhaps not as crazy as Vicki, but I think a bit of curl would look amazing."

"That's settled then, we'll go and buy some things for your hair tomorrow, right now we have clubbing to do. The night is young and so are we." Alice said before getting up and clearly wanting to get going.

We all just smiled at her as we stood as well and jumped down into the alley. "Calm down love, we've got all night, no need to go crazy already."

She smiled and kissed me softly. "Sorry, I'm just so excited for our first night out as a family, but before I forget, I have something to give you two." She said as she handed Renee and Victoria a manila envelope.

They both smiled as they took out their new ID's and bank cards. "Thank you Alice, these will come in handy tonight." Renee said with a smile as she put them in her purse.

The Pixie smiled at them as we made our way to the nearest bar, since only the company mattered tonight, although we did make sure it was a gay bar, because we didn't want to deal with ignorant assholes tonight.
